Vanon had a nice ceremony, if you can call it that.
we (me,  fenrirlokison, jae, fu and chase) buried my lil one day of his death very illegally in the back of my apartment complex. they said some nice words and fu sang the meow-mix jingle, cause he couldnt think of a proper hymn.

took ages to find a shovel in the middle of the night and not look like murderers. going into lowes with my hands caked in dirt (and bleeding from when i recklessly was digging by hand) with tears in my eyes probably wasnt a good look.

i was really worried that we didnt bury him deeply enough so i collected some stones that  colley was kind enough to help me carry back home today. tonight is the first night of me sleeping here since Vanon died.

its really awkward typing this, mostly cause i know it hasnt fully sunk in yet. and probably wont until the next week or so when i try to stop my instinctual reaction of looking down to be sure he's not underfoot.

so, i'm going to go decorate his gravesite now. maybe in the spring, grow some flowers there. i mean, i want it to be inconspicuous, but still honouring my best friend of the last 13 years of my life.

THE PAST MONTH FOR 404:

- almost done with my commissions (sorry its taken so long guys. with the move and stupid stuff happening at my job, art has been minimal - frown town!)
- its snowing in atlanta D:<
- i'm all moved in
- vanon is a little better, but still an old, semi-sick kitty.
- making a new pca team
- doing nothing but working and "brooding" on valentines day (by brooding i mean i dont really care either way XD )

so seeing as i've been under a great bit of stress lately (housing situation), i've decided to buckle down and take my artwork/comic/commissions more seriously.

i AM open for commissions, so just note me if you have an idea or any questions.

this being said, i actually have a PORTFOLIO in the works for FWA and AC (the anthrocon version may be an "expansion" depending on if i get all i wanna get done in time).

So, when it comes to portfolios and such:

- do people still buy packaged paper portfolios anymore or is it all digital now (cd/dvd/thumb drives)?

- how much does one expect to spend on average for a portfolio (say of around 15-25 "semi"-clean, cheesecakey pictures)?


i really need youse guys' help on this, for even though this portfolio is gonna be of great help to myself as stress relief, i wanna make this something everyone can enjoy.
