Adoptables, Commissions, etc
Posted 13 years agoHey all!
I know I don't have a ton of watchers here, but I was wondering how people felt about me uploading three things to this gallery:
1) Would people mind if I uploaded adoptables here or should make a separate account for that?
2) Would people mind if I uploaded commissions of adoptables here or should I make a separate account for that?
3) Would people mind if I uploaded MLP related art here or should I make a separate account for that?
Another question to go with that is if people think such things should go into the main gallery or scraps, although that can always be decided later.
Also if no one responds I will just do whatever I want! Although I promise not to flood your inboxes all at once. Probably will be a slow upload deal.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Pony Raffle
Posted 13 years agoHey all!
I know I have pimped
kasune before, but I am now letting you know that he is running a 24 hour raffle for free pony art. So if you have a pony and want something done in a super cute style, go look them up! They are also open for lots of other types of commissions if you aren't that into ponies :)

Commission Pimping
Posted 13 years agoHey all!
Two things to post tonight!
First of all,
saetia is holding a raffle for a free character adopt. So if you want to add a lovely girl to interact with your characters, consider joining. :) I have purchased other adopts from
saetia, and they are always the cutest. She does some pretty nice preposed and themed commissions, so check her out! The current raffle is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3602417/ and the adopt in question is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8289869/ (Also my lovely Delilah is over here in case you want to see some of her other work! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7958036/)
Second,
kasune aka
fishbowl is in a little bit of a bind with their internet transactions getting messed up and Paypal overdrawing funds, and is doing some cheap bust commissions! They have a really cool style that you don't see often on this site, so look them up to see what I mean :)
Hope everyone out there is doing well!

Commission Pimping
Posted 13 years agoHey all!
Just wanted to let you all know that if you are looking for an affordable artist,
corganda aka
leilei is open for commissions!
She does some pretty cute stuff at a good pace, so she has a nice turn around time. If nothing else, she totally made me fall in love with her rendition of a character that I was thinking of making one of my online personas, rather than just a character. :)
If you want to check her out,
corganda is streaming right now! So head on over to her page to check it out!

Posted 13 years agoHello all!
Just wanted to let you all know that my presence on the site may be diminishing a bit for a little while. First off, I am going on a trip for most of the week. At best I expect it to be mildly stressful, both from distance, crowding, and people involved. Unfortunately I have been warned that it may be worse than that, and really no one knows what to expect of the trip. u_u I also don't have any idea of what the internet situation will be, or if I will have any access at all over that time.
Second, after I get back I will be starting my new job. :D While I am nervous, I am glad that so soon after moving, sending out applications, and other disappointments that I did get this job. It does however mean that with being employed my free time will be greatly reduced, so I will not be as involved as I have been in things on the site.
I do want to say that these last few months have been very fun, and I feel like I have gotten further away from my lurker shell from interacting with people on FA. I'm glad I have mostly managed to dodge drama here, and that people have been so friendly, kind, and responsive, at least as far as I have encountered.
If anyone needs to get ahold of me, FA notes and my various messengers listed are open, although it helps to tell me who you if you use an alias I am unfamiliar with!
Hope everyone out there is doing well too. :)

Auction to Help a Kitty!
Posted 13 years agoHey all!
I just wanted to take a moment to promote
abelsword right now. She is currently holding an auction for an absolutely beautiful character to help her kitty cat. You can find the auction here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7727209/ She definitely needs way more bids. And if you don't want to bid, you can certainly give her some donations!
This auction and donation drive is to help fund the multiple vet visits her cat has gone through lately, as well as to help with the costs of what might be an eventual surgery. Her poor little cat has pancreatitis, which has caused a lack of appetite and an inability to keep food down. Pancreatitis can also lead to other more serious diseases, such as where the enzymes of the pancreas start destroying other tissues in the body.
While I have not had a cat with this specific disease, I do know what it is like to have a cat with a chronic and expensive illness. My 9 year old cat has FLUTD, which causes his urethra to become blocked with urinary stones. I have spent around $2000 on surgeries for him alone, and he also requires a special food and preparation mix keep him from needing any more surgeries.
So if you feel like supporting an artist and a cat in trouble, please consider bidding or donating to help
abelsword and her cat Martie. :)

First Quarter Update
Posted 13 years agoOkay guys,
There might be a slight spam of adoptables I have adopted over the past six months and a little bit of pony art coming up in the next two days.
After that, I will be moving 700 miles or so to a new state. From there... we will see! I would like to get back into my art and writing again, and we will see if I can accomplish either of those goals while I am settling in, apartment hunting, and looking for a new job in the southern states.
Hope everyone out there is doing well. :)

October Recap
Posted 14 years agoHello all!
Since I have a few people watching me, and some recently expressed concern about my well being, I thought I would write a little bit about what has happened this month. While I do have a Livejournal and Twitter, not everyone that watches me on those services watches me here.
This month has been very eventful, to say the least. For background, for most of the month I have been working 10 hour long shifts at work, with three days off as a weekend. My hours were usually 7:30PM to 6AM. I usually end up sleeping most of Friday, or at least this is why I am usually up at night.
Some good things this month have been that I bought a tv for my room, so I can play more games without using the family tv. I also got my hair redyed, and everyone seemed to really like the color. My hair salon was holding a raffle, and I managed to win two free guitar lessons with my mom's stylist's husband. Elsewhere I also lessons in bartending, where the school also apparently will help you get SafeServ Alcohol certification and get a job through them.
Unfortunately there is bad news to counter these good things. First off is my workplace. At the beginning of last week there was a notice going around of customers were going to stop servicing, which was a big red flag to my team since that is what we do at night. Then there was a mandatory meeting that Friday, where it was announced that they are cutting half of their business and whittling the company down to 18 employees total. I did make the cut, but the rest of my team did not. The following Monday we learn that my team's supervisor has found another job and his last day is Friday, so now the current team is disbanded. My schedule will now be 3PM to 11:30PM, five days a week... for the interim. This will probably change again. Unfortunately I can't ask when or how since my boss and the HR manager are on vacation in India until the middle of November. ...
Secondly, yesterday I was making a turn onto a bridge over a major highway, lost control of my car on black ice, and slid the car into the curb/sidewalk. I am extremely thankful I didn't go off the bridge (which has been a fear of mine for ages!), but now I am going to have a $2000 repair bill. Outside of the wheel that was hit, the car physically looks fine, but not fit to drive since that wheel's control arm and other parts are totally messed up. I am also completely fine, and I think overall in this I was extremely lucky that it wasn't any worse, since many of my friends are telling me about how they totalled their cars in similar situations.
There are also some other things going on in my home life, but they are not worth going into in this summary. While I still have a job (and my health!), car repairs and tvs and other things are not cheap, and all the changes at work make me very concerned that I will get a significant pay cut even if I don't get laid off. I have enough saved to take care of myself, but that doesn't really make me any less anxious. I do have 3 commissions in the fire right now to look forward to, but after that I may have to take a break from such things.
So right now the future is a bit hazy, but hopefully things aren't as bad as they seem. I am also trying to figure out what I want to do with this account, be it post more gift art or start drawing and writing more myself. If anyone has comments there, I am happy to hear them. :)
Take care all, and hopefully any reports in the future will be more upbeat. :)
