A lot of people probably read them and just don't comment. I read a lot of journals when the titles catch my eye, but I don't leave a comment sometimes because either 1) my thoughts are offensive and completely unnecessary or 2) I genuinely don't have a response. Like I've read all the journals about "booh hoo nobody reads my journals" and I don't comment because of reason 1. They all just sound SO whiny and literally are seeking attention. Your friends should give you that attention you're seeking, you don't need the opinions of strangers.
I'm sure the people who make these journals are nice people, but they need to think about how they might sound before posting. Like, I'm sure I might be coming off as an ass right now. But ya know, I titled this journal as a rant so I'm not exactly worried about that; rants are for getting irritating thoughts publicly off your chest and are typically unfiltered.

It'll be one slot because multiple people buying the same YCH was a fiasco for me

Mini Life Update Thing
General | Posted 11 years agoSo, to start with, for those of you who don't know I ran away from a controlling, manipulative, emotionally abusive mother a month ago. As a whole I've been a lot happier and have enjoyed my life with my mate. It has brought my mate and I closer emotionally, and in this last month as we experience emotional ups and downs, I've only felt our bond grow stronger and my certainty about our future only continues to grow.
On the flip side, the relationship with my family is appearing to deteriorate despite my efforts to maintain it. I put up with mother yelling at me what seems to be every other time we interact, and that grew to the point where I'm too paranoid to contact my own grandparents. I do everything I can to keep peace, but still the control, emotional manipulation, and yelling continues.
This past weekend was by far one of the worst. I was invited to mother's so I could pick up a Valentine's gift, and I left with her comparing me to my awful lying father with a "go back to your new family, James. You know the way out." I spent Saturday night crying in my mates arms because it had all become too much. Then yesterday my grandfather told me that if I don't keep my gas at under $50 a month, I could lose my car (which I honestly understand but there were other things that made it hurt). I was emotionally spent for the day and spent it relaxing with my mate, until mother texted me around 6:30ish asking about the call with my grandfather. Then we texted/faught for the next 3 hours and by the end of it I was so emotionally drained I just wanted to rest and put the phone away. But I couldn't do that because as soon as I tried aster saying goodnight she called me to scream at me. When she finally hung up, she told me to get her boyfriends daughter to get her bf to answer her. Minutes after I got a text saying he broke up with her, followed by s call to her crying and sobbing so much I could barely understand her. I can't help but blame myself a little for causing their over a year long relationship to end, and I'm going to try to fix it any way I can.

My emotions are literally everywhere 99.99% of the time. I never knew it was possible to feel excited, angry, upset, sad, happy, unsettled, and relieved all at once.
Lately my emotions just turn me into a lost mess, and I sit and do personal art because I don't know how long I can sit and focus on a task at hand.
Nobody around me knows what's going on in me, in my head, much less about the coming event next Tuesday when their whole worlds will change forever.
The stress, the pressure, even the guilt would kill me were it not for my mate. I love her more than I can describe, and she's all I've been really holding onto as my life slips toward madness.
