That thing I was trying to do last October when crap happened, themed commissions. Where I give a certain scenario or classification for the character like, Ninja, Assassin, Warrior, etc. Would anyone be interested? I was thinking a mix of a Warrior and Fighter, maybe some elements of magic or something of that sort.

Something to experiment with but if there's no interest I'll just do a regular sketch commission like usual :p I'll open them soon, but 2 slots would be open.

For some reason, for -some- reason, I think M$ made some progress involving brainpower by removing the device nobody likes. You think with low profit and very bad reception for some games, they'd just cut it off. But nope. Anyhow, regardless of how it's presented, the consoles all look great. Just give it a year and the good games will be available for every system.

My mind keeps switching between the three, but I plan to get them the (Considering that no drama and shit requires you to be online later or shit's exclusively for Gold members) One and Wii U eventually. I was having the Wii U on my mind more since it's essentially 3 systems in one involving the U games themselves, backwards compatible Wii games, and GBA ports on the marketplace. Mostly grew up with Dreamcast, GB Color, Gamecube, GB Advance SP, Nintendo DS (Holy shit I Nintendo'd a LOT) and the 360. I ain't a fanboy, I just go with whatever has good lookin' games, none of that 1080pp9000frames per millisecond mess. I'd PC but I just can't, unless I spend this summer learnign about parts and their purposes and whatever. Thats what that Steambox is for and I hope eventually it's available for the windows OS games (if I'm thinking correctly about how it'll be marketed, I'm still lost with that). WHAT ARE YOU HYPE FOR? -When you're doing work, time flies by.

-Some instructors just want to make shit difficult. But it's even better when you shove the Dean's List in their faces in the end~

-Adults can act just as childish as teenagers when it comes to sensitive issues.

-Some people that you have known for YEARS can break off while new people fill in those gaps.

-Speaking of which I tend to notice that -I- migrate to others irl when in reality, out of EVERYONE i hang out with, only less than...3, 4ish? take time out of their day to initiate the talk to me offline when I don't have to follow them and stuff. Nice to know some people still take effort out of their part to hang out with you instead of doing it yourself all the dang time ;w; *loved*

-Sometimes when you think you're a negative person, just look around and you'll see others that are muuuuch worse. (Which means you are just fine)

-You can not please everyone with your actions. Do what you can and whatever happens, happens. Deal w/it :D

-Dragons are still superior.

-Materials don't bring happiness for the holidays. Family and communication does this. And dicks.

-Living in the past and moaning about it is a very bad thing to do if you're trying to get social.

-Looking up horror themed urban myths and reports at abandoned facilities at 3 a.m. is not a smart thing to do.

-I am late with the Mass Effect series and other old games. Years late. And that is A-okay.

-Extensive practice, feedback, and research makes art development better!

-I have met a few buddies on here and other places and glad I did run into some of yeh. I support 'em and I say thanks ^.=.^

So a lot went on near the end of this year but I am managing! What did you learn?

Well, it's been bugging me lately. A lot of things have been bugging me lately when I am working on stuff. Outside of anatomical practices and proportions/scaling, I have run into another thing that could be an issue to me.

Let's say I am watching person A because person A throws out great stuff. Person A has made a new character with these great features and detail, so maybe an example would be a deep green dragon with great scale texture, facial structure, and a good feel overall. Or person A shows fanart of something I'm fond of.

I have been recently making dragons and for the most part, my results came out the way I did not want them too; not 'cus they look funky, but they just don't have that look I am aiming for. This does not give jealousy, nor does it make me feel like "Oh, (s)he's extremely better and makes my works look like butt I'm never gonna draw again." But I feel like... it rubs off on me. It gives some sort of influence by like...15%. Hours later after failing at human or monster concepts, I might try things similar to what I have seen previously, being some dragons or suddenly jumping back in a phase of liking the fanart I've seen before.

This irritates the shit out of me. So badly. I know art is an outlet, but it's different for me if the shit I do is suddenly like someone else's since I can't think of shit to make for myself.

Suuuddenly after ignoring it for months, I just so happen to get back into Swat Kat art, Bowser, or making Vector the Croc art when a good artist reveals their rendition that catches my attention. To me, it feels like bandwagoning or being a copycat - not for attention, but because I can't think of anything else productive or working for me. It's all good when I do fanart on my own time when I feel like it, but that's different since I thought of doing it myself with no influence whatsoever from anyone else.

Speaking of, Thinking is another thing for me in art, or Originality. I have those days where it comes hard and I make characters unique, not too bland or detailed, it's suitable. And then there's times where it just looks too Similar. Looking back at my creations, most of them look like they share several things in common and the audience can't really tell them apart unless color's added.

Sometimes my mind feels limited, and I have to branch out. So, I try that sometimes. New character idea from scratch, but I pause and squint and realize, "Wow. I have outdone myself with this. Such detail, much individu-...This looks like xyz's character on FA.. .. Well, that's okay, let me delete that and try a new person. Slap that on, give a diff hairdo and...looks like that artist's creation several weeks back now that I think of it."

And it really pisses me off when I see a relevance in some shape or form, it just makes me feel as if there's no originality, a waste of time. Feels like I'm referencing some one else's creation and putting my twist on how they look sometimes (and I don't even realize it sometimes). This really comes into play with hairstyles, outfits, or like said before, fanart of shows etc. (i.e. Suddenly, pete lurvin' or Pyramid Head when admired artist creates that). iexplainthingsweird

Or maybe, that's my weak spot; not spending enough time making original creations of my own and sticking with remodels, things premade or similar to older creations of mine.

..So, that's my analysis of my art progression this year. Improvement on anatomy/structure, little bit behind with proportion practicing, lack of originality.

Should this bother me? Is this good or bad? Am I over thinking things? Am I too busy overanalytical comparing to others when it really does not make a flying fuck of a difference and no one cares? What are your pet peeves in art if you have any?

..Is it basically a premade console to be a shortcut from using your PC for the games?
Like, if I don't have the time, effort, or energy (Ireallydont) to build a PC from the ground up with the best parts for a cheaper price with no knowledge of PC building whatsoever, is the Box a shortcut from all of this with all the work done?

I'm a casual.

my PC is ancient. I really don't have the time or experience building a custom PC. Or Money. Not ashamed to admit I'm too lazy to build something when I could get it -right- there in the PC area. I'm not wanting the best gwaffics or the smoothest framerate. If it runs like the console with barely any lag and it has no potato resolution, i don't care what it's played on.

Also, I'm assuming by the time The Evil Within is in my scaly marvelous blue hands the 360 will break and I'm sure of it. And I'm not getting anymore after the past six tries (note the first 5 were under a 1 year warranty). And not many next-gen things interest me, everything looks average-ish. But hopefully that could change .n.
