So this is just a dumb little journal to complain about how stupid technology can be.

So I don't have a scanner in my room so I need to use my mother's scanner. No big deal there I just scan things when I can. But when I have art-trades I want to draw up my half and scan it as soon as I can. Well my mother's printer is out of black ink.

"Ummm, why do you need ink to scan?"

Haha, you don't don't. BUT, this scanner is so special that it gives you an error message when it's low on ink and will NOT allow you to use any other printer function until the error is fixed. Oh scanning? Nope, can't do that, ink low error message, so no scanning.

Like, wut? That is the dumbest issue to program into a printer. =U

Impossible feats of strength for images?

And well it is something I like and wouldn't mind trying to draw more of. But I cannot think of many other feats of impossible strength. Further more I don't really wanna draw my characters lifting something like an aircraft carrier as I don't wish to draw a whole aircraft carrier. am layzee.

So if anyone has some ideas for impossible feats of strength toss em at me. The more simple the better but go ahead and toss whatever at me. =P

Need some help making another astronomical planes list.

Well I am at the point of wanting to make yet another new one. And yes, there is a high chance that in another year or so I will have to make a new one but whatevs.

So the reason I post the journal is because I realize I have never bothered asking for help. So that is what I am doing. So if anyone has ANY ideas for new planes or anything of that nature please toss them at me. It is worth mentioning I have some, and really I could make this go on "forever" if I just make up dumb names that sound like Star Wars/Star Trek planets but I am still looking for some other ideas. Looking for Hollow Knight OC's to draw.

Okay so I am a picky artist, VERY picky. I don't like dogs, kind of like cats but only so much, and a LOT of standard animals I don't really like drawing.

Pokemon, well there are some I like, but there are also the ones everyone likes that I don't very much, like Eeveelutions...

But if there is something I DO like it's Hollow Knight. Vessel, mantises, and many of the other Hollow Knight creatures I just love.

So does anyone have any Hollow Knight characters they'd like to see draw HYPER?

"Why only hyper?" Because it's my art and I wanna draw hyper.

So if you've got some Hollow Knight OC's you wanna see drawn hyper, even up to astronomical, please let me know. I REALLY enjoy drawing Hollow Knight stuff. =3

The largest jigsaw puzzle I have done 2.

So previously my record was a 4,000 piece puzzle:

Well recently I bought this puzzle:

The first day I spent 4 hours simply sorting the pieces. The border alone took me 2 hours. Well after 17 days of work I finally finished it!~

The finished puzzle is 66in x 47in (168.6cm x 118.4cm.) I am very happy with finishing this puzzle, and cannot recommend Clementoni brand puzzles enough, though the image wasn't the most interesting thing I have done, the quality of the puzzle itself was amazing.

But yeah, I can say I have completed a 6,000 piece puzzle by myself~ Granted it's 94x64 pieces making it 6,016 pieces, but you know. =P

A Jigsaw puzzle I ordered.

Well last Thursday I went to the site and looked in the 6,000+ piece category and saw... that puzzle did NOT have an out of stock icon on it. They had 2 in stock so I ordered one. It just arrived today. =3

The box itself is comically huge:
19.25in x 14in x 7in
49.5cm x 35.5cm x 17.5cm

I am not ready to do it now, but I am certainly happy I own it now. =3

Animal Crossing New Horizons, 1 year later.

So as of March 20th this game has been out for a full year. And well I wanna talk about it and how I feel about it especially compared to New Leaf.

TL:DR of this, simply put I am disappointed in this game. My friend miles57

miles57 said it well once, the island setting holds this game back in a lot of ways.

So first issue, the weekly visitors. Gulliver, Gullivarr, Label, Kicks, Leif, Flick, C.J., Sahara and Redd.
-For Gulliver and Gullivarr I have almost gotten the last of their items so both of them are going to be useless visitors soon.
-For Label I have EVERY item she has so she is 100% useless.
-Kicks has 4 more (exclusive to him) shoes, but outside of that he's useless
-Leif was useless after only a couple of visits.
-Flick and C.J., well I don't sell them bugs or fish anymore, I do have EVERY BUG AND FISH 3 times to get models made of them, but the pace at which I can get these is very slow, so both of them are almost useless
-Sahara, well buying his entire catalog of items that day is always a pain. But really he doesn't have much more to offer.
-Redd... Because the 8 visitors being randomized Redd will sometimes take an entire week off of visiting, and considering the other 7 visitors are almost useless it makes the wait for Redd even worse. Furthermore because his art is randomized all too often he doesn't have what I want. I had FIVE visits in a row from him and he had NOTHING I needed, a could of those times being all fakes. If he was a guaranteed weekly visitor like in previous games his terrible RNG would be a little more tolerable. So yeah, Redd is the only worthwhile visitor and his RNG is the worst...

DIY cards and crafting. DIY cards are such a terrible reward for things because it is the promise of a reward with extra steps. Furthermore much of the furniture/items being from DIY's this in turn causes the buyable item pool to be smaller thus making the shops have far less inventory.

Crafting, yeah, bulk crafting would be nice, but I believe because there are a few Nook Miles Achievements tied to crafting they will likely never implement bulk crafting.

Accomplishments. This right here is the biggest problem I have with this game. It's not so much that there is nothing to do, it's more so that there is nothing to accomplish. In New Leaf the Nook shop had multiple upgrades so it felt like you were accomplishing something. Horizons has had ONE shop upgrade. New Leaf also had club LOL, another something to have added to your town. New Leaf also had the island you could visit with minigames. Even if some of the minigames weren't that great it was still something else for you could do. Same for the achievements, yes both games have the same kind of achievements, but for New Leaf having a character GIVE you a badge felt so much more satisfying than a blip on the Nook Phone.

Purposely tedious tasks. "But that is what Animal Crossing has always been." Yes but not like things in this game. I will give you not 1, not 2, but THREE examples.

1: Smile Isle Nook Miles Achievement. This one requires doing 300 requests for villagers. This includes delivering a thing for them, helping them when they are sick, or returning a lost item to them. Remember when villagers used to do more in New Leaf? They would ask you to bring a villager to them, they would ask to visit your house or have you visit their house, they'd ask to hide and seek, they'd ask you to deliver things, they'd ask for fruit. But now it's so few things they ask you to do. But back to the point 300 requests doesn't seem too bad, but since villagers RARELY ask you to do things trying to get 300 requests fulfilled is a long haul. I am currently half way there... Now yes this one is RNG based, but that is why I covered it first.

2: DAL items from the airport. If you've taken enough flights you have likely gotten some DAL items in the mail. Well these items are given to you after a certain number of flights. 50 flights, 100 flights, 300 flights. Now this sounds easy, but there is an issue. You can't just take 300 flights and have this be done, no, there is a hard limit of 3 per day. Furthermore, 3 UNIQUE flights, meaning 1 for a mystery island flight, 1 for a Harv's island flight, and 1 for a flight to another person's island. So if you wanted to get every item you are forced into a 100 day minimum. It just seems like there is no reason to make things so purposefully tedious here. Like what does Nintendo stand to gain from imposing this tedium?

3: K.K. Mania Nook Miles Achievement. This one requires watching K.K. Slider perform 100 times. Oh that's easy huh? Nope. You see, the only way to add 1 point to the counter is by getting a song from K.K. Slider. You only get ONE song PER visit, and ONLY ON YOUR ISLAND. This means that you have a hard limit of 1 PER WEEK! So 100 performances means 100 weeks, that is almost 2 whole years.

So then if I am complaining so much why don't I just stop playing the game? I don't know. I mean it's only a quick daily check when I go in. But it is getting a little tiresome and getting to a point of almost forgetting to go in on a given day. I am getting tempted to use time traveling just so I can get art at a better pace though. May consider that over the coming months if Nintendo doesn't add anything of interest to the game.
