So let me start by saying yes Bug Fables is basically Paper Mario with bugs, specifically Paper Mario 64 and Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door.

I personally have played through Paper Mario 64 and Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door but I am not the biggest fan of them. Even as far as Mario RPG's are concerned I like "Super Mario RPG on the SNES" and "Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga" much more. I say this to make a point, I may not enjoy them GREATLY, but Bug Fables on the other hand I enjoyed immensely, meaning it must have done something better.

I had watched  kifstopher play through Bug Fables and wasn't terribly impressed with the game. But when it came out for the Switch I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I was quite surprised by just how much I have enjoyed playing through Bug Fables, even to near 100% completion. 2 very lengthy enemy/boss gauntlets elude me...

What makes Bug Fables so good to me is that it fixes a LOT of issues I had with Paper Mario.
*No need to worry about swapping out partners.
*Not very much busy work or events ruining the flow. (General White can die in a pit of fire.)
*Dialogue can be sped up if need be.
*If you game over during a boss you can select to start the battle over from the beginning thus skipping pre boss cutscenes.
*There is an easy to get to and CONVENIENT fast travel area.
There are likely other things but I cannot think of them. =P

I have put about 50 hours into this game and I didn't have many moments where I did not enjoy myself. Every session I played I ended very satisfied with what I had accomplished.

So in short, if you like Paper Mario 64 and Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door I HIGHLY recommend buying Bug Fables on your platform of choice. You may not regret it. =3

Just so it's known I went to see a doctor Thursday (June 25th,) the small clinic didn't have the know how/equipment to fully diagnose what I have, so they are setting up a referral appointment for me to see a specialist.

So I am now at the mercy of them setting up the referral appointment. In the mean time I am just dealing with this neck pain.

So yeah, just so it's know.

As simple as that, if you do play Animal Crossing New Horizons what do you do every day?

For me it is as follows:

8:00 AM
I go in and explore my island.
If it rained the previous day I dig up all the new excess flowers and trash them.
I water the flowers I am trying to breed into hybrids.
I remove the two weeds that spawn every day.
Talk to as many villagers as I can, give them a gift and look for the DIY being crafted.
I pick up all 15 sticks that spawn every day.
Hit all 6 rocks to get the bells and materials.
I shake all the trees to get the 5 wasps and 2 pieces of furniture.
I dig up the 4 fossils and get them assessed.
I get enough sticks to accumulate 30 sticks and then craft 6 tools, the use 6 iron nuggets to upgrade them so I in turn have made 12 tools.
I use my excess stones, clay or iron nuggets to make 10 pieces of DIY furniture.
I sell all the excess stuff and then shop in all the shops acquiring all the new items, but not stressing each new color.

12:00PM
I go in and catch 25 bugs, and 25 fish.
I also make sure I have done at least 10 Nook Miles+ tasks.

8:00PM
I go in and look around for Wisp.

I do all the random tasks to build up my numbers for the Nook Miles Achievements.
One of the achievements is playing for 300 days, catch 5,000 bugs and fish, craft 3,000 tools and DIY furniture, assess 500 fossils, and complete 3,000 Nook Miles+ tasks. I craft, do or catch a certain number of the things to make sure that I get these achievements before the 300 days passes.

As spoken of in the journal this caused some nerve pain in my arm which seemed to drift around.

Some time Mid April, 15th-25th I had a spot on the back of my head that began to hurt, possibly nerve pain I am unsure. This pain spot drifted from just between the center of my head where the spine connects to the skull and behind my LEFT ear.

Back in May 9th I had a new spot on the back of my head that began to hurt This pain spot drifted from just between the center of my head where the spine connects to the skull and behind my RIGHT ear. (Yes it switched sides AND the left pain faded) This pain then also drifted to the top right of my head and made my ear hurt as well.

May 25th I was able to return to work and while working I stumbled and sprained my LEFT wrist. My wrist is mostly better now but I am giving all these details.

June 12th the pain in my neck/head caused me to have an intense headache twice during the day, then on June 13th 1:00 AM I am woken up with the worst headache/neck pain. It was intense enough to bring me to tears, literally felt like a 10/10 pain for me.

June 20th-today the center of the back of my head where the spine and skull meet begins to hurt, and occasionally makes me feel slightly nauseous and slightly lightheaded or wobbly. This head/neck pain is also accompanied by a pain starting between the center of my head where the spine connects to the skull and behind my LEFT ear, (yes it changed sides and the right pain faded) and it goes down my neck and towards LEFT collar bone and ends just below it. This pain is a combined stinging and burning pain, sometimes the burning is intense enough that my skin turns red temporarily.

I am wondering if this is just lingering nerve pain? Something else? It is worth mentioning NOTHING has been as bad as June 12th thankfully, but it's still a VERY annoying pain. More over since it is neck related I am unsure if doing things that involve a lot of looking down or neck movement may or may not trigger more pain/complications. As always it's not a fear of doctors, it's more a case of what if all the doctor says is cold packs and pain pills. That becomes a waste of time and money.

So if anyone has any info please let me know. This isn't a journal to get pity, it's a journal to ask for some help/info. =/

Okay so thanks to  angrynightmob I have a number of Animal Crossing Amiibo cards. I know how to use them and how they work, but there is something else I am wondering.

I hear that at one point the Amiibo card visitors could create various bugs/glitches in the game. Have those issues been fixed? Or was that an isolated occurence?

I just don't wanna scan a villager in and breaking my game ruining all my hard work.

So I obviously brush my teeth. I don't brush after every meal but rather just at the end of the day about an hour before bed. I had used a Colgate gel toothpaste for quite a while, maybe over 10 years I am not sure. At one point Colgate, in their infinite wisdom, decided to change the flavor and oh boy did it start tasting bad. But I powered through the two pack of the new flavor and just dealt with it.

Anyway, some time in January I needed to buy a new double pack of this toothpaste and did so. Unbeknownst to me I grabbed the wrong Colgate toothpaste, but in my defense the packaging of the two toothpastes are very similar. I know this because recently I was at Wal-Mart and compared the two different toothpaste packages and though being VERY similar they were SLIGHTLY different.

Now here's the "fun" thing about this toothpaste I mistakenly bought. As I use this toothpaste it burned my tongue, even after rinsing and spitting my tongue was still burning. I thought nothing of it because it's toothpaste whatever. A few weeks later or so later the bottom of my tongue becomes sore with little bumps, my tastebuds had been affected making certain foods taste off or terrible, I had sore spots on my gums and had a near constant bad taste in my mouth. I just chalked it up to being possibly germs and it'll go away, it didn't. So from January to April I am dealing with these mouth issues. To give you an idea about how bad my taste had gotten, I bought a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, the chips tasted like regular tortilla chips, that's how bad my tastebuds were. XP

Why not go to the doctor? Well since it's not something serious, and the whole corona thing going on, I figured me going to the doctor for silly mouth problems was not a good use of already overworked medical staff. So I got to thinking, is my toothpaste the culprit? Because despite my previously used toothpaste changing flavors this current new toothpaste tasted different again, so that is when I had confirmed it being a different toothpaste at Wal-Mart. So I made a decision to stop using the toothpaste entirely and just brush my teeth with water and rinse using some Listerine mouthwash my mom had. After just 3 days I was able to taste certain foods normally again, and then after like 10 days my mouth had entire cleared up. =P

So yeah, just a silly little story about how a toothpaste ruined my mouth for months and no longer using the toothpaste healed the problem right away. =P

So I decided to get a 3 month Nintendo Online card so I can dip my toes into visiting other islands in Animal Crossing New Horizons and have other people visit my island.

Now I have exactly zero friends on my Switch because I don't participate in that stuff. So before I start doing all this what does it take to visit other peoples islands and having people visit mine?

Yes I am a boomer with this stuff as I have only played 2 games online technically. I don't count Super Mario Maker 2.

My thumb does have more mobility and I have nearly full use of my hand. I still have some minor pains in my hand and I wouldn't want to do anything major with it, but it is functional.

HOWEVER, in using my arm in a weird way for a length of time the muscles in my shoulder and neck are experiencing stabbing pain and soreness. From one thing to another huh? =P So art will STILL be slow hence why I didn't upload a new image this week. Obviously it's not required that I upload one picture a week but I like to as I do enjoy art.

Of course it's not just art that is slow I may also be slow to respond to messages sent my way, so be mindful of that.

I have been having fun having a metaphorical knife being stabbed into my shoulder, but at least I don't have the intense burning sensation I did a few days ago... 1,000 degree knife meet losers shoulder and neck muscles. =P

At least playing Animal Crossing New Horizons isn't very stressful on my shoulder as I am playing on my TV with a controller and not playing handheld. =3

Okay so regardless of how the workman's comp goes I DID go see a doctor yesterday.

After an x-ray the doctor says I DO NOT have a fracture in my thumb so it is indeed all related to nerves making it seem like my hand is in pain.

So for work I can likely do the other part of the dishwashing so as to not use my thumb as the repetitive usage of my thumb is what is causing the issue.

So I do have usage of my right arm/hand just need to resist using my right thumb. So I COULD in theory work on images on my computer, but it'll be slow thanks to not being able to grip my mouse with my thumb. Of course drawing with a pencil is something I cannot do. =P

So yeah, in short, the rat trap simply caused an issue with the nerves in my thumb, and said nerve does go from my thumb and all the way through my arm causing the pain I am feeling. So right now I am taking something stringer than ordinary aspirin and I will see how work goes for me this Saturday.

So the end of last month I was at my dishwashing job and I spotted something odd under my work station. Since in my mind it's out of place and doesn't belong I reach down to remove it... WELL, it snapped down on my thumb because it was a rat trap:

Now when it happened it was just "Ow, that kind of hurt."

Well a few days later a section of my wrist and upper arm started to have a burning/stinging sensation. At first I thought maybe I just slept on my arm wrong as I tend to sleep on my right side. Well after a few days I wondered, "does this have to do with that rat trap?..."

Looking up some things I assume this is nerve damage. Well it seems to be what it may be. =U

Just last week I was playing a PS2 game that was a bit button mashy and the next day my hand started killing me, likely connected to the possible nerve damage.

Anyway, I work Saturday and Sunday, and those two days made my hand seriously hurt.

"Why not take off of work?" Stupid strong work ethics.

"Why not go to the doctor." I am considering it.

Just know in the mean time if I use my right hand too much, specifically my thumb, the pain starts to get intense. So things like inking images and using the mouse my hand starts hurting badly. And I am sure drawing with a pencil would hurt too. =P

So I am 33 years old and have been gaming since I was 5-7 I believe. First game I ever beat was likely Legend of Zelda on the NES with my dad's help, we drew up maps and everything. =P First game I beat all on my own was either Super Mario World or Super Metroid.

But a thought occurred recently, how many video games do I own, and how many of them have I beaten? And so yesterday I decided to start making a text document of all the games I own on all systems.

I do not count romhacks on emulators, nor do I count unmodded games I have played on emulator, like the SNES Jetson's game  miles57 asked me to play.
I DO own a few PC games, but I in no way can remember the ones I have played so I don't bother listing those.
I also don't count any freeware games I downloaded on my computer.
I also have rented a number of games back when Blockbuster and Movie Gallery were a thing, but I do no add those to the beaten list as I wouldn't be able to remember them all anyway.
