What made you choose the species of your fursona?
I actually made his species. It's not a very original idea, but it was something important for me to make. He's a dimension hopper, meaning he can jump from one dimension to another. He came to me in my dream and refused to tell me his name or leave until I woke up. He's kinda been a permanent fixture of my dreams since then, either as himself, or as a stuffed toy I carry.
Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
Not really? First and foremost, he's technically gender neutral, even if he uses male pronouns. He doesn't have any reproductive organs though, hence the gender neutral thing. He's a lot more... Social than I am, and he's smart, but he also doesn't know how to talk to other species...? Last conversation he had with a human that wasn't myself, he told them he enjoyed spending time with bears and that they gave the best hugs...
Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
He's far more social than I am, but basically. I don't think he gets depressed like I do though. I don't think I've ever seen him depressed.
Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
He likes some things a LOT more than I do. He's mildly obsessed with Marshmallows...
Does your fursona look like you at all?
PFF NO. The only similarity between us is his height.

Lassiter is technically my tertiary sona. I wouldn't consider him my secondary because that spot belongs to Goose, but I wouldn't consider him NOT my sona because he is important to me.

Nope. Not that he's told me.

I'd say his markings, cause really, there will always be other people who have similar colour schemes, body structures, and fur markings. Though I've just discovered there are different sub-species of his species and he's bird based. There is another of his species that I drew recently who's otter based and has webbed fingers and toes.

A few doodles, though I want to make a full ref sheet for him when I get a new tablet.
Would you ever consider parting with your fursona, if so why?
Not unless it was to someone he and I both trusted. But he seems pretty happy with me, so I think he's gonna stick around.

People are grieving and all you can say is 'Aww'?
Posted 10 years agoSomeone in our community passed away today (July 6th), and I've read a bunch of journals and faved a few pictures but for the most part I've kept quiet because I honestly had/have no idea how to response or what to say. I've followed this person since their DA days and found them over here and followed them here too, and it really screwed me up that they posted less then 2 days ago and they're just gone now. Like I'm supposed to accept that. I mean, I DO because life is sadly incredibly unfair and snuff a light out so quickly and without warning is just above things I can handle lately.
But dear god, when you see someone, multiple people even who are grieving, don't just say 'aww'. 'Aww' isn't going to make people feel better. Offer condolences, apologize for their loss, offer morale support or someone to talk to, maybe even express your own shock and grief over the death, but for crying out loud, DON'T SAY 'AWW'! Especially if it's all you say on everything posted. The same thing over and over again.
Just please, it's just not what people need right now.
