Game Development Q&As
General | Posted 6 months agoWhat I've been doing for the last couple of months is that I've gotten into game development. To make my game, I've been using a program called GB Studio, which lets you make Game Boy/Game Boy Color homebrew games, and I began development for my game on August 9, 2024. A name I came up with for my game is "Tubular Rocketoose: Toy Tales", and the plot of the game is you look for a toy Bryan asked for his birthday, but they're all sold out because of supply problems and the objective is you find a way to get the toy while sending invitations to the party, and you also investigate the problem with the toy shortages. It's going to be a 2D puzzle platformer game involving the use of power-ups. It's going to feature 3 language options, DMG and SGB support, 20 levels and 24 stickers that you can print out with the Game Boy Printer.
Regarding previous experience with game design, I used to make levels in this game called "LittleBigPlanet", a game series that lets you make your own levels and publish them online. Sadly, the LittleBigPlanet servers have been decommissioned a year ago back in April, and this is where I went to GB studio. I also tried a program called Lunar Magic, a level editor for Super Mario World, and the experience for developing GB Studio games is similar to Lunar Magic. Creating your own game assets is something that is rather amusing and rewarding, and that's what got me into game development.
For the updates on the game I'm making with GB Studio, I've got 12 to 13 levels worked on and most of the mechanics functioning. However, I'm facing additional obstacles during development, such as the cartridge and hardware limitations, more time required to fix bugs and glitches, and the risk of losing my work if something goes wrong.
You're probably wondering if the game would cost money? No, my game will be free to play so you can try it out yourself. I have plans to make another game. It's not a sequel, but it's rather going to be more like DLC for Tubular Rocketoose: Toy Tales. It's going to be more baby themed, but MAYBE it'll be a project I might pursue. I am interested in developing games for other platforms like the Super NES, PC, Android, Amiga computers, the Turbografx-16, Game Boy Advance, PS1, PSP, and maybe Nintendo 64. Also, I want to get a chance to design a physical cartridge for my game.
Overall, I think GB Studio is a good place to start for indie video game devs for its simplicity, but it's still quite difficult for the overwhelmingly large amounts of time needed to finish the game. I'm halfway through development, like 43% complete and I'm adding to the game everyday but I can't spend too much time working on the computer because I start to get eye strain after two hours.

I have deactivated my Twitter.
General | Posted 11 months agoAfter 6 years on X, formerly known as Twitter, I have decided to start the new year off by deleting my Twitter/X account. I'm sorry, I didn't want to leave anyone behind there, but that site is just not working out, and I lost interest in posting there. Here are several reasons why I've chosen to leave X.
The first reason was the name change from Twitter to X. I don't like the idea of a website being simply named X because X can mean many things. Just look at a disambiguation page for X on wikipedia and it'll give you many results. If I call the website "Twitter" instead of "X", someone is likely going to correct me.
The second reason is the day I first joined. When I first created my Twitter, the website basically just locked my account accusing me of engaging in suspicious activity, and they forced me to give them my phone number to have the account unlocked and I don't trust that site having access to personal information.
The third reason is how less and less convenient the site became over time. Twitter has a limit on how much you can type on one post, they made the likes private, the block feature no longer hides your profile from those you've blocked, and you can't view profiles offline. Whenever you visit a Twitter profile, the site would just block you with a sign in page and if you close out the page, they'll just dump you off the site.
The fourth reason is that I just don't seem to get much engagement on my Twitter posts compared to Pixiv, Furaffinity, and other sites. Whenever I posted something on Twitter, I tend to get less than 4 likes compared to FA and Pixiv where I get a range of 15 to 30 likes.
The fifth reason is I wanted to have some extra time to focus on my personal life. My parents are getting old for example and it's getting harder for them to sustain themselves, and my uncle is not around to help anymore. When I don't have many social media profiles to manage, I get some extra time between work and helping my parents.
The sixth reason is that there are better websites out there. As I mentioned before, Twitter has that character limit and paying money for a subscription that lets you type more is not worth it, and the search feature on Twitter does not always get you what you're looking for and you have to tediously keep scrolling down for content. Twitter also limits you to 4 images per post compared to Discord's 10 images per post. As for Bluesky, they let you browse the site without an account as of this writing. Twitter is also not very art friendly where it reduces the resolution of my art.
The seventh reason for quitting is because Twitter is a toxic place. I've encountered several troublesome individuals on that site including bots, scammers, racists, antisemites, misogynists, misandrists, anti-ABDLs, and ragebaiters. There were these people in particular who go around following random accounts and then they later un-follow you. They don't engage with your posts either. I don't know why they do this, but what I'm assuming is they do this as a way to get quick followers, as a form of self-promotion. This happened to me six times and one of them have had a bunch of highly NSFW material on their profile. I tried protecting my posts, but this was not always affective in keeping the bots out. I've seen Twitter's algorithm shadowbanning some people. For example, seeing someone's post wishing someone a happy birthday only of the post to be marked as "offensive content".
With that being said, it was the best decision to leave Twitter behind to maintain my mental health. And if you're going to post comments like "This is not an airport, no need to announce your departure", it doesn't have to be an airport, and I want to let you all know what is going on. All the old artwork I had on my Twitter page will be moved to my Discord server. I notified everyone on Discord and Twitter to download the art requests I had on my page. If you were no longer using Twitter/X by the time I shut down my Twitter profile, drop me a note so I can send you your request. If you happen to come across someone impersonating me on Twitter, keep in mind that I no longer have an official Twitter account. I removed all my links to my Twitter page across my other social media accounts. I don't ever plan to come back to Twitter.
So, what's next? I'm focusing on personal life and I'm developing a game using GB studio. I'm still enthusiastic about the project and adding to it little by little each day, and I will continue the daily routine of drawing art!
Anyways, that's all that I have to say here. I hope you all have a happy New Year.

Setting up Discord
General | Posted a year agoIn case I'm no longer on Furaffinity, I'm working on making a Discord page. I'm new to the site and still trying to get everything set up and I'm focusing on making a server where I post some new artwork. I'm still trying to figure things out so it might take a while.
Here is the updated link to join the server: https://discord.gg/nCcAe34q42
If the page says the link has expired, please let me know.

Seeking alternatives
General | Posted a year agoSo I've heard about what happened to BabyStar, a.k.a. Toddlergirl, who got a 1-week suspension for a ridiculous reason and I'm also noting the time this site got hacked last month for the second time since FA got hacked back in 2016. These are making me concerned about the future of my content on FA, and I'm looking into a new site called Bluesky, a competitor to Twitter and there are some artists I know who are using it. Since Bluesky is new, I don't know much about the site, and I have a few questions for those who have knowledge about the website. Do you still need to have an invite to be a member of the site? Does Bluesky have little or no spam accounts? Is Bluesky more free with its rules? Does Bluesky let you make your page private like on Twitter where you can protect your posts? On Twitter, I protect my posts to keep minors and bots from accessing my page, and Twitter has a big problem with bots and spammers, and I still have them trying to interact despite the post protection. Twitter is going poorly for me overall, and I'm planning to leave that site by the end of the year. As for FA, I'm planning to stay to keep in touch with my followers, and I'm going to focus on adapting to FA's environment and trying to be as safe for work as possible. And despite the cub art on Pixiv, I use that site as a form to preserve my artwork.
MySims is coming to Switch
General | Posted a year agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDT5kxDL15U
I'd never thought that MySims, a Wii/PC game from the late-2000s is coming to Nintendo Switch at his point in time! The franchise hasn't had a release since MySims Sky Heroes. I'm totally excited for this that now I don't have to use that broken EA app to play this game anymore. Nintendo just keeps getting better.

Something that I've been wanting to do lately
General | Posted a year agoI found this program on Itch.io called GB Studio, a program that lets you make your own Game Boy games.
https://chrismaltby.itch.io/gb-studio
I've always been interested in video gaming and I feel that this is a project I could pursue. My idea is to make a puzzle platform game where you can use power-ups like a grappling hook, a magic scepter, diving gear, a shovel, and a pair of wings to navigate between levels, with some of my characters getting into funny situations. I also want to add Game Boy Printer support so you can use the printed designs as decorations, but I don't think that's possible in the current version of GB studio. I'm in the process of thinking up a plot and looking for some tutorials on using GB Studio because the program is still new to me. Developing the game is going to take some time since I have to find time between work life, development, and learning the program. I stated the project a few days ago and I am not sure if I can manage to finish making the game, but hopefully there's a chance.
EDIT: Game Boy Printer support was introduced for GB studio on September 2, so that's something to be excited for! Regarding game progress, I've made some sprites and the user interface, and I'm currently working on the music. Level design, the story, and mechanics will take time.

Another year has passed
General | Posted 2 years agoHello everyone! Long time, no see!
So, here we are in 2024, and I'd like to discuss last year and some notable things that happened.
So last year, I had a death in the family. I lost my wonderful uncle to pancreatic cancer on the 12th of August. He just turned 56 years old back in May. This wasn't the first time I had a death in the family. My grandfather passed away back in 2012, and I had another uncle who passed away in 2008, also from cancer. My uncle was a kind and caring person who would often visit me and my parents and we'd talk, do activities, and help out with repairs around the house. It's not fair that a kind person like him would die young. There were also other people I knew here in the community who had loved ones that passed, and my condolences goes out to them.
And lately, I began developing anxiety which I have trouble controlling myself. I don't know what's causing it, but it could be the stress from work. I'm especially worried about what's going to happen this year. Instead of simply saying "happy new year", I'm going to say that I hope you guys stay safe, and I hope 2024 will bring you sustainability, wellbeing, progress, and happiness.

Happy new year
General | Posted 3 years agoI just wanted to wish you guys a safe and happy new year, and hoping you all are healthy and doing well
One month left
General | Posted 3 years agoAll that's left of 2022 is December... Because of all the stress and anxiety from work, this was a bad year for me but not as bad as 2020. Hopefully everyone else had fun!
I have a few plans for December. There's still some work I need to focus on, but I'm also going to have a bit of free time. I'm thinking about making some more reference sheets, making an improved version of one of my drawings on Pixiv, and I'm currently making a gift for one of my followers here. (This doesn't mean I'm taking requests; I am just making a gift for one person.)
That's it for now. Hope you all enjoy your Christmas and New Years.

A short update
General | Posted 3 years agoHey guys. Starting today, I'm going to work with my group on a community project, and it's going to be a couple of busy months that will take until December. I will continue to post new drawings here, but it's going to be a little slow. My plan is to post some drawings from my Pixiv page and finish some drawings I made on my scrapbook. What I have in mind is drawing some fan art, adding more reference sheets of my other characters, and providing some more free-to-use
diaper designs. I cannot take requests during my involvement with the project, so requests are closed at this time.

Pixiv-exclusive art
General | Posted 3 years agoFor those of you who follow me on Pixiv, is there something from my gallery there you'd like to see uploaded on my FA page? Keep in mind that I may not be guaranteed to upload everything because I'm not sure if the content is appropriate here. Later on, I'm planning to upload the "New Students at Chaton Academy" drawing. I had plans to upload Penelope's Potty Story, but I ultimately decided not to because it would take up too much gallery space. If you want to see it, it's available on RedRose87's IB page.
Happy new year
General | Posted 4 years agoI just wanted to wish you guys a safe new year, and hopefully we will see an end to the pandemic soon.
Busy
General | Posted 4 years agoHello all, I just want to add a few updates. Because of the housework and preparing for the holidays, I will have to focus on personal tasks and it is possible that I will not be able to finish some requests I have yet to work on. Long story short, there is a snow storm going on and I'm going to shovel the snow and defrost the sidewalk for the next few weeks. And lately I've been doing Christmas shopping on Amazon and other retailers. We found most of the gifts, but some other retailers are sold out on some other things we are looking for. If I have spare time, I will eventually post something here from my Pixiv profile to keep up the activity.
Other than that, I hope you guys stay safe and hopefully we can get through the pandemic.

A few updates
General | Posted 4 years agoSorry about the lack of activity. I'm just a little busy with work, but I just want to let you guys know I'm still here! I'm working on another drawing, but since the drawing is quite complex and I'm mostly at the office working, it's going to take a while but I might upload something here by December. As I mentioned in my previous journal, I'm planning on adding more to the Penelope's Potty Story drawing, and I'm also planning to create an Inkbunny account later on, and once the story is updated, I'll upload it there. Other than that, I hope you guys are doing okay.
About using my content
General | Posted 4 years agoHey guys, so I thought I should include some helpful information about using my art and using my characters.
Just a few rules on using my art. If you want to use it for personal use only, like you just want to use it as a desktop picture for your computer or you just want to download it to view it offline, that is fine. If you're going to re-upload my art, you are required to ask me for permission first. However, if my artwork was given to you as a gift, request, or a commission, you can re-upload it in any site you want. No permissions required!
If you want to draw my characters, I am okay with that, and you don't have to ask. Just keep a few things in mind; It must have nothing that is inappropriate such as sexual activity or other NSFW content. Other things that are forbidden is controversial or offensive content, so please keep it clean. Nothing homophobic, nothing transphobic, nothing racist, nothing discriminatory, nothing disturbing, and nothing involving hate. Also, my artwork and characters are mostly not-for-profit uses only. In this case, you may not use my characters for adoptables in any cases, and you may not use my characters or other of my content on products for re-sale without approval. However, if you're interested in making products using my artwork for a theme, like if you want me to draw you designs for an ABDL product, I can grant you permission to use my content if credited. If you want to get some ideas from my character designs to generate some ideas for your original character, I am fine with that.
NOTE: I did not authorize anyone to upload my content to e621, so if you see my images being posted there whether or not permission is granted, please let me know.
If you're wondering if I made something that is free to use, I made some designs that I use for my character's clothing and so on, but you can use it to decorate whatever you like. They are available from my Google Drive profile:
https://drive.google.com/drive/fold.....TS?usp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/drive/fold.....Ah?usp=sharing
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Tw.....ew?usp=sharing This is a file containing my custom Animal Crossing villagers found in my reference sheets. It is compatible with AFe+ and its translated counterpart.
You are not required to ask me for permission to use, but please don't claim that you made these.
I will update the journal if more info needs to be known.

Future plans
General | Posted 4 years agoSo I got the second COVID-19 vaccine back in June and I just started work. Because I'm working from the office, I am not going to have a lot of free time like I had before, and therefore I cannot take any requests at this time. When I have some time available, I have a few things in mind on what I want to work on. I might create some free to use diaper waist shield designs, so you can print them out and apply them to an actual diaper. Another idea I wanted to focus on is writing another story on potty training. I did something like this before about a few years ago featuring Penelope. It's titled Penelope's Potty Story and I posted it on my Pixiv profile. I'm not going to submit it here since the story is multiple pages long and this site doesn't have a feature where you can submit multiple pictures in one page like what Pixiv and InkBunny offers. What I have in mind for the next story is using one of my newest characters and find some new methods of getting the characters to use the potty. The next thing I want to work on is making another GIF animation. It can take some time to make and I want to choose an appropriate time to make one. Lastly, I want to make some tutorials on drawing more detailed diapers, but with visual aid.
Some more Q & A's, including some important info
General | Posted 4 years agoQ: Do you still take requests?
A: Right now I am not taking requests since the available time period I had for requests was between May and July. And since August is approaching, I need to work longer in the office. I'm still trying to work on the requests I haven't finished yet. See my previous Q&A journal for more details.
Q: How old are you?
A: I'm 30 years old and turning 31 soon.
Q: What do you do when you work on a new drawing?
A: I make a few plans. First, I think about what will be depicted in the scenery. It begins with the characters. I choose which characters will be in the scene and how many characters will be in it. I choose by what purpose they will serve depending on the topic of the drawing. The number of characters I choose is normally low. Adding a lot of characters make the drawing look overcrowded, unless there is a reason for a lot of characters. Second, I think of a topic and the theme of the drawing. For example: "What are the characters doing in the picture?" And for the scenery: "Where does the picture take place?" To better illustrate this, I could come up with a drawing with three characters playing doctor in a bedroom where they pretend a plush doll is the patient and they are caring for the patient. Third, I compare the scenery to the characters to make sure the foreground and the background is properly matched. I recommend starting with the scenery, then the characters. Lastly, depending on the complexity, I estimate the time to make the drawing. The more complex, the longer it takes.
Q: Where are you most active on posting content?
A: I always post my newest art on Twitter, then I upload on Pixiv sometime after. Unlike years ago where this site was my main platform for posting art, it is now uncommon for me to upload my newest art here unless I have some art I need to give to someone.
Q: Who is your target audience?
A: Those who are 18 or older. Keep in mind I don't want underage users viewing my content.
Q: Do you draw fan art?
A: Yes, I do make fan art. It's not common I make these, but I might consider more.

Requests are temporarily closed
General | Posted 4 years agoI just wanted to let you know that I will not be available for requests for the week as I need to get my car checked at the auto shop and I need to attend an appointment on Thursday, so it's going to be a busy week. Other than that if you have received a request from me, feel free to re-upload it anywhere.
Some more Q & A's
General | Posted 4 years agoQ: Do you listen to music while you draw? If so, what kind of music do you listen to?
A: Yes, I do listen to music while I draw as it is a great way to motivate. I listen to a different variety of music, but my most favourite genre of music is 1950s and early 60s doowop music. Some of my favourite music artists are Gorillaz, Spice Girls, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, and Madonna to name a few.
Q: Do you have any art tips you can offer?
A: Here are a few tips I can give:
*First of all, try to invest in a good art program that has the features you need. If you want to start somewhere, you can use GIMP as it is free to use. There are other options such as Clip Studio Paint, Paint Tool SAI, and Photoshop that are premium, but have extra features. One thing to keep in mind is that certain programs such as Photoshop have a cancellation fee, which could be a headache for some, so it's best to check what art program is right for you.
*Try to develop a style and theme for your art. For example, I like to apply a cute art style to my drawings. How I do that is that I use characteristics of a cute theme like smaller, chubbier, rounder body parts in ears, feet, hands, body, and tail. Drawing the character with a bigger head and a smaller body also works out. Here is a visual example: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/41349170/
*Try to experiment with different shapes when designing a new character. If you have a program that can move shapes around via layers or otherwise, you can adjust the body to your liking. In MS paint, there aren't many possibilities, but you can try the programs mentioned above.
*Try viewing your art in different perspectives. You can rotate the drawing and even rotate your art vertically as if you're viewing your art in a mirror. This can help you point out any crooked parts of the drawing and help you correct them.
This method can even help you draw rounder circles rather than ovals on traditional art. Just start on a quarter part of the circle or draw a semicircle, then rotate the drawing and close the circle.
*Lastly, I recommend making a checklist on building your art, which can be sorted from the simplest to the most complex. A matching colour palette, smooth shapes, simple shading, shadows, softer shading, lighting, texture, and reflections can be practiced in order. You can work your way up, including these little by little. If your art program has a smudge tool, this can help convert simple shading to softer shading.
Q: Do you take requests or commissions?
A: It depends on my time, but I do take requests since I have a bit of free time from work. I will be available for requests from May to July of this year, Keep in mind that beginning August, I will be back working at the office and requests will be closed until further notice.
For requests, there are a few things I will not include and there will be a few limitations:
*I will not draw NSFW content such as exposed private parts, gore, sexual activity, etc.
*I will not draw anything that violates the site rules.
*One to two characters and blank backgrounds only. That way it won't require a lot of time.
*If I received a lot of requests, it will take longer to finish yours, so please be polite and patient.
And here is some information regarding character appearances:
*I can draw humanoid characters, SFW only.
*If your request has an animal species that is different from what I normally draw, like your character is a canine or a fox, it might turn out a bit different than what you expect. As I don't draw canines or foxes much, I don't have much experience with this.
*Characters holding or wearing accessories is allowable.
*I am more comfortable drawing original characters rather than copyrighted characters, but sometimes there is an exception to this.
If you received a request from me, feel free to re-upload it anywhere.
After receiving the requests, please do not immediately ask me for another request. This causes an issue with the orders on my schedule and makes me more tired.
This is not guaranteed, but I also have plans to open commissions in the future. In this case, I will offer multiple characters, backgrounds, GIF animations, and enhancements such as soft shading and advanced textures.

A few Q & A's
General | Posted 6 years agoA few questions and answers coving things I do in art and media.
Q: When did you start your journey in art?
A: I first joined YouTube and DA back in 2011, and made some general art. I started making ABDL art in early 2012 and uploaded them on DeviantArt. I didn't fit in with the community very well at the time, so I left DA and went to this site in 2013 to give things a try, and went pretty well. Later on, I went to Pixiv in November of 2017 since it seemed like a website I can trust with my art.
Q: Why do you like drawing ABDL stuff?
A: I do this because I want to fit in with the ABDL community and find people who share the same interests as me. I don't care about becoming popular, I just want to belong to a group and pursue my hobby in art.
Q: Can I draw your characters?
A: You may do so as long as it isn't meant for controversial uses.
Q: What social media platforms do you use?
A: Below are my official accounts:
FA: You are here
Pixiv: https://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=28598922
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/Irishsalad123
Q: Can I use your art?
A: You must ask me for permission first. There are certain websites where I don't want my artwork to be posted. Please ask me about it.
Q: Do you roleplay?:
A: Not at the moment.
Q: Do you play video games?
A: I do play a few video games, mainly puzzle games and simulation games like The Sims and Animal Crossing. I'm mostly a PC person, but I also play on some consoles I own like Game Boy, Gamecube, and PlayStation.
Q: What inspired you to draw what you're making?
A: My artwork is a combination of characters from Animal Crossing, ABDL/DDLG themes, and some toys from the Daiso dollar stores. Not many people have considered drawing things like this, so I make this kind of stuff to add some uniqueness.
Q: What art programs do you use?
A: Paint Tool SAI, Adobe Photoshop, and MS paint (for sprite art and profile pictures.)

Some of my favourite adult diapers
General | Posted 8 years agoSo I'd thought I talk about some of the adult diapers with designs I like the most. These range from ABU, Rearz, and so on. To start off this list, I'll talk about two adult diapers I've drawn before with one of my characters wearing them.
#1 MyDiaper Night
I chose this one because these diapers have a cute design on them. It's coloured in light blue and hot pink on the side and is white in the middle. And in the middle there are animal characters on them like a mouse, two cats, and a dog.
The Caticorn Fairy in this drawing wears this diaper: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24309007/
#2 ABU Littlepawz
So this diaper was introduced in late 2015 and it had a unique and creative design on it. One the side of the diaper had a green gingham pattern on it and on the middle of the edges had a blue line with white dashes. On the middle of the diaper had some animals in them. The best part of this diaper is that it had a wetness indicator! Adult diapers with wetness indicator is just something I really like.
The purple cat in this drawing wears this diaper: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/24002876/ I also drew a picture of the Caticorn Fairy wearing the ABU Littlepawz diaper as a gift for a friend on DeviantART. If you want to see it, feel free to ask.
Here is some more of my favourite adult diapers. I'll also provide a brief description in these
#3 Bambino Bellissimo
It's one of those diapers that had designs that look like the ones Pampers made back in 1987. It had cute animals like bears and rabbits in them. I'm planning on drawing these on one of my characters sometime in the future.
#4 Bambino Magnifico
This diaper had designs with colourful dinosaurs wearing cloth diapers and holding numbers.
#5 ABU Preschool
Introduced in 2016. They come in plastic and cloth-backed and come in four different designs.
#6 DC Amor
I just like pink diapers since pink is one of my favourite colours, lol.
#7 Rearz Princess
A diaper with princesses and unicorns in them. I like unicorns and I draw them a lot in my gallery
#8 DC Idyl
It's like the DC amor diapers except that they're blue and it has facinating airplanes, rockets, and balloons in them.
#9 Aww so cute
A diaper with teddy bear designs on them
#10 ABU Space
Another diaper I'm hoping to draw on my characters. It has a great colour scheme with pastel blue with a combination of white, orange, and green. The aliens on the middle are wetness indicators.
Sadly I never got a chance to try these dapers, but I'm hoping someday to try one. If You want to tell me what's your favourite diaper, feel free to post it in the comments.
