GET IT! NOW! (if you're a fan or want to experience a classic turn based strategy RPG) Why?

*UI is vastly improved/easier to understand.
*Can restart battles, restart battles with a different party, or just back out to the world map if you're stuck. No more being fucked over by difficult battles!
*Cutscenes and battles can be sped up.
*EVERY cutscene has full voice acting and (to me) it's good! Even generic units and NPCs get voiced lines! Can turn em off if you want.
*Selectable difficulty can be changed at any time. Easy mode makes enemies weaker, hard mode makes em hit harder and you do less damage.
*You can play the classic version with the original UI and graphics!
*Party roster now holds 50 units! No need to fear having unique units and not having room for other people.


Some downsides to the remaster that might be a dealbreaker for some:

*Outside a few things that got slightly tweaked, the game is more or less 1:1 to the original Playstation version. It doesn't use the PSP version which had extra jobs and content.
*Save data is not interchangeable between the remaster and the classic versions.
*Script is based on the PSP version.
*Classic version comes as is without the enhancements of the remaster, but also uses the PSP script instead of the Playstation script.
*Music is based on the original version, no enhancements.
*Remaster version has a dithering filter on the screen, which can be distracting to some.

It had to have been at least 8 to 10 years ago or so back when I posted on Tumblr before the porn purge. There was some gifs of a skinny guy playing with the massive dude, had to have been 800 lbs. I dunno why, but any game with guns I just love how most of the animations of the reloading look. It's just satisfying to see and hear!

Thanks for those who reached out. It wasn't just the death of the dog that sent me over; work that night was super stressful, the political climate is shit, but I also gotten a very painful boil on a VERY sensitive area for over a week and only now it ruptured on its own, so it's still draining right now. Gets annoying having to constantly change dressings (covering) on it and keep washing it.

I won't be active for a day or so. Brother left his dog with us to dogsit while he was away and just today she passed away. It trigged my memories of our dogs dying. Between this loss and the shitty political timeline in general, what's there to live for?

He's just so fucking sexy and is designed to be inflatable and being popped! I like the little backstory I gave him and having two forms to play with. While I do have several Final Fantasy OCs, I don't think I seen many art pieces of the Bomb monster, so that's what prompted me to have one as an OC.

The sun is leaking

I always hated it when people substituted suicide or killed with words like "unalived", "pew pew" (to describe being shot) or, (eugh) "sewer slide". I know most people did it cause they make money on Youtube and the almighty algorithm will demonetize their videos if they ever utter those naughty words, but even then I would see people say those words outside of Youtube or Tiktok and it just looked damn silly. Like, why do you need to self censor yourself when having a normal conversation? You're not being shadow banned on some random ass website.


After thinking on it some more, it then hit me on why these kinds of words annoy me; it sounds like how someone would talk to a child on a very sensitive subject that they don't fully grasp yet, which in turn kinda downplays the subject itself. The family dog that suddenly vanished one day? "Oh, Fido just went to live at a farm upstate!" You would speak like this to a child who is too young to understand the concept of death, not towards grown ass adults on the internet who fully know what dying means. I understand people have done that kind of talk before with euphemisms like "no longer with us", "they're gone now", or "they offed themselves", but in those cases, it's still clear what the speaker means without downplaying what the victim went through. The current trend of words like unalived (in combination with making money off the content on Youtube) downplays what happened and for some people, it can look quite disrespectful.


If something ever happened to me, I would want people to say it like it is rather than to dress it down with 1984 styled censorship. Let people understand the truth of what happened.


Then again, I'm just an old man yelling at the clouds at this point. lel.

So all of my so far adult life, I had people thinking I am 18 or 21 or 20 something, despite the fact that I am nearing the ripe old ass age of 40. A blessing, I suppose. I had customers who thought I was the son of my coworker, despite said coworker being only 10+ years older than I am. Creepy...

Like any MMORPG out there, you can grind for in game currency to buy shit. In FF14's case, you can buy stuff like gear, food, and materia made/obtained by other players, which is helpful if you're doing end game raiding. There's also other stuff like minions, mounts, and glamour items you can buy from others just to deck yourself out. Of course it's all optional so there's no major need to grind money to get these items. There are also houses you can buy (if you're lucky enough to win the lottery for them) and they are a major money sink. But if you don't care about any of that, then why be so concerned with money?

I seen many people following or posting guides on how to make as much money as possible, but they don't really do anything with their money. They just want number to go up. What is the point of hoarding and making all this money if you aren't going to spend it? We already have the top 1% in real life being dragons with how much money they hoard, so why do it in this game? Why go through so much effort to make money in game? For me, I can get buy without buying much, if at all. Not to mention people make stuff overpriced AF, so that just makes me not wanna buy anything.
