I follow several furry artists on Twitter and one recently posted a commission he did, which was a chunky furry character with angular edges as a stylistic choice, kinda looking like something you'd see in a low poly 3D model. I made a joke saying that if the character gained some more weight, he'd be more rounded. The joke being that more weight means making the edges rounder. Somehow, that got the algorithm to determine that I was encouraging self harm / suicide. How the hell the algorithm got that out of a joke about a fictional character's size I'll never know.

And before anyone says it, no, the artist did not report me because I know them and they would have laughed at it. Not to mention the account lock came almost immediately after I made the tweet. Would this have happened if Musk didn't take over Twitter and fucked it up further? Who knows.

I already went over how life in school was a hellhole and how it made me suicidal at one point so I won't go over it again. In 2017 when I first started my banking job, I had a customer who somehow recognized me from elementary school and he apologized for how bad he treated me back then. I was a bit caught off guard by the gesture but I accepted it regardless. The thing is I have nearly zero memories of my time in elementary school. Hell, I think I forgot everything about my school life except for the one dark moment in history where I wanted to die.


I don't know if the traumatic experiences I had in school made me forget about them or if it's simply aging over time that has clouded my memories of school, but I can't remember anyone who gave me a hard time. Maybe I focus too much on myself and my future to bother remembering the past, or maybe I have made myself move on. I have no idea.

I noticed that in the past few years, whenever the forecast says we MIGHT get snow, even if it's an inch or two, my stepdad will go to the supermarket to get milk and food as if we're gonna be buried for days. It's not just him either. A bunch of old folks like to stock up on food whenever snow is mentioned. 9 times out of 10, we only get a few inches and never enough to be fully buried. Sometimes we can get like 6 inches or way more if it gets bad, but those are quite rare. There's being prepared and there's being paranoid.

As you know, some shit has been happening to gay bars and drag queens. The people attacking them and the people supporting them are all the same; "THEY'RE GROOMING THE KIDS" or whatever bullshit they spew. In one subreddit I visit, people were talking about a drag story time for kids in my area and some people were there to protest it. One commenter was like "ugh, why do they gotta show kids this?"


To answer the above question, I say "If they don't, who will?" That's always been the thing when it comes to anything sexual or "not normal" with these people. Just never talk about it, bury it deep, and pretend it's not there or tell your kids how bad it is. Teenagers don't learn (or learn enough) about sexual education in schools, so they get their information from their friends and the internet, which is usually wrong since they don't know where to look. Kids with bigoted or ignorant parents grow up thinking anyone who is not straight or is dressed in drag are all pedophiles.

I never understood the appeal of having your Pokemon being a part of an organization that abuses Pokemon. Someone suggested to me that it might be due to the anime from Jesse and James, but I still don't see how that gets a pass. I think what's making me hung up on the issue is the disconnect between the games and the anime. Team Rocket is generally bad in the games while in the anime, you only ever see Jesse and James and their stupid incompetence. I associate more with the games.

First off, thank you all for the well wishes you sent my way when I was sick! I actually teared up from it all cause I see how many people care and I needed that reminder to bring myself up! Physically, I am ok now. My symptoms are pretty much gone and by the end of the week I can stop wearing my mask around people.

I also saw the trailer for the Mario movie and I'm impressed by it! Bowser and Mario look kind of off, but I think the art style works well for them so I can overlook it. Bowser is legit badass in his scene and the quirky Toad had me giggling. I actually can't wait to see more!

Yeah they were more simple and kinda sound like crap compared what we got today, but come on, nothing gets you humming like the Super Mario Land theme (which also used the CAN CAN as the invincibility theme!) or the Team Rocket battle from Pokemon Gen 2. Something came up in my Second Life Pokemon Discord group that has been eating at my brain for a good while. A member made a Lucario mod to sell and a lot of people got excited. One person who bought the mod showed it off, except their Lucario was recolored to be green, which was to match their sona . The mod creator grew upset over it because the person "stole and modified their work without permission" and left the group in disgust as well as taking their mods away. It took the owner some convincing to get the modder to come back as well as the "thief" apologizing for modifying the mod and promising to take it down.

I have a problem with that.

You see, when it comes to Second Life, mods exist and there's nothing stopping people from taking the mod and modifying it. As long as the person isn't reuploading that mod for people to take or selling it, I think it's fair game. Unlike actual art where you can't upload someone else's work as well as heavily editing their work and claiming it's yours, texture mods aren't quite as clear cut. I usually use whatever textures I bought and lightly edit them so they fit properly on the bodies I use on Second Life for my personal use. Not claiming it's mine, not selling it for personal gain, nada. It's just like using mods in a video game that changes a character's textures or models. When you let people mod your stuff, it can attract more people to your work. When you don't (or worse, are heavily against it), people won't take it lightly. For an example, Back 4 Blood was announced not to have mod support, which cause interest in the game to greatly dwindle cause now people can't make crazy mods or mods that can fine tune the game to their liking. In short, don't attack people for making mods off of your work. Back to the subject at hand...


For the Pokemon mod fiasco I mentioned earlier, the modder is claiming that modifying their texture mod is a copyright violation and are against the TOS of Second Life. Ok, that is fair, but there's one issue no one seems to have noticed or are too afraid to point out; Using the Pokemon IP to create and SELL mods based off said IP is also a copyright violation.

X fucking D!

I see Pokemon mods on the Second Life Marketplace all the damn time! Everyone KNOWS they're violating the copyright to the Pokemon IP. Most people are smart enough to keep their mouths shut about it and some don't even label their mods as Pokemon to get past the auto purge. Why? Because furries are thirsty AF for Pokemon shit on Second Life and everyone is willing to look the other way. There used to be a ton more Pokemon mods on the marketplace, but all it took was a few people reporting to Nintendo / Game Freak (or them finding out directly) and the majority of those mods are gone. Some reuploaded the mods under different names and others didn't bother bringing their mods back at all in fear of losing their accounts. So don't fucking tell me that modding someone's Pokemon mod texture is a "copyright violation" when you yourself are violating copyrights by uploading and selling mods off a company's work, you fucking tosser.
