As most have heard by now, the remaster of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles will not support local multiplayer. Yes it sucks. No, the devs aren't being lazy or locking it behind a paywall, and no, those people are misremembering how the original worked.

So how DID the original multiplayer work?

Every player needed a GBA and the controller link cable to connect it to the Gamecube. This meant that if you want a full four player experience, you needed the following::

*A Gamecube (duh)
*The game itself (also duh)
*A GBA per player
*A GBA to GC cable per player.


That shit was NOT cheap! As convoluted as this setup was, it was the only way you could have multiplayer in the game without a pause menu stopping the action. Ya see, each GBA controller was also its own menu for that player. This means that someone can go into their menu (which you will do a lot to switch gear and commands) without it affecting the action on the TV. Real time pause! Could this have worked in the current gen? Possibly, but not without its own issues. Unlike the Gamecube, you can't have the Switch on the big screen AND use it as a handheld controller at the same time. It could also be possible to have your friends use their Switches as the handheld controller while player 1 uses the big screen TV, but it would also make the pause menus for that sole player interrupt the action or at least cover up the screen, which also means the other players are affected. This style of play would also NEVER work on the Playstation 4 since its controllers are just regular ass controllers, thus everything has to be on the one TV screen.

From what I see, this style of player only works on mobile because everyone has their own screen and it's not connected to a central screen. Likewise, if this game came out for PC, it would work the same way since, again, there's no central screen to worry about.


FFCC was just plain weirdly designed and it's not something that can just be fixed in a patch without a design overhaul

Things are still a bit nutty here at work. It calmed down some but we are still getting lots of idiot customers and those that are trying to be smart by going to the lobby instead of the drive thru. I gotten my pay and I see I gotten time and a half from last week. Woo, can't wait for the next paycheck where I'll have time and a half for both weeks. The virus here in NY is supposedly plateauing, but I doubt we will be back to normal till mid summer or even later.


Also, I didn't expect all the favs and positive comments on my new Pokemon OC! Methinks he will be used more.

So a brief background. A few days ago, HR called me and said that on the 13th, a customer I interacted with tested positive for Covid-19. Normally, HR would have told me to stay home for two weeks, but since I started my vacation week on the 21st, I was already isolating myself from work. HR decided to give me back the vacation time I had used and would give me paid time off for that week. Another few days gone by and HR called me again, saying that I can return to work on Friday. I'll be honest, I was fucking scared. I did ease up when my contact with the infected was already two weeks old and I didn't feel any different, so I lucked out.


With the shelter in place going on in NYC, a lot of places are closed or have limited service. I still do my daily walks while playing Pokemon GO, but since I can't sit in to eat at a Wendy's or whatever, grabbing lunch is pretty much out of the question. I do my best to stay away from people I walk by in the street, but sometimes you don't have the room to do so, so I just look away and sorta hold my breath if I have to walk by someone.


My birthday came and gone, but with the virus going around, I didn't get to go anywhere or do anything. Fun.

I'm not upset nor did anything happen. I just found myself drawing less and less. I just don't have the drive anymore and with work taking up my time, I have only a few hours to myself after work and I rather catch up on gaming than drawing. Frankly, I haven't gotten better over time and I just don't have the time or drive to keep drawing. I'll draw when I can or feel like it, but the main point here is:

So I been getting into Pokemon GO lately and I started to do some walking to play it like it was intended since I can only do so much from my house. I been walking to my local mall and back again and according to Google, the round trip is a 4 mile walk! I never thought I'd be able to walk that much!

So last week, I browsed ebay and bought a copy of Resident Evil 3 for the Gamecube. Got it, played it, everything worked out great. Today, I get a package and I'm here thinking "I didn't order anything...". I opened it and inside was a Wario themed Gamecube controller. The sender was the same person who shipped me the game the week before. I messaged him and asked if he meant to ship the controller to me even though I never bought it.

Turns out that someone else had bought it and he somehow used the shipping label with my address on it by mistake. He agreed to give me money to cover the cost of shipping the item back to him. Lesson of the night: CHECK WHO YOU ARE SENDING SHIT TO!

I assure you, the title is not hyperbole. This actually happened.


I did some errands today and walked to my bus stop to get home. When I got there, there was a guy frantically screaming CALL THE POLICE! while wearing no coat. Remember, it's the middle of deadass winter here and temperatures were at freezing point with gusty winds. The guy didn't LOOK like something was wrong with him since he had no normal clothes, but the way he was asking for the cops to be called didn't sit right with me since he never said why they should be called in the first place. A bus pulled up and the dude banged on the doors demanding the driver to call the cops. Driver basically noped out of there and I decided to do the same. I put my phone away and started walking up the block the opposite way. After walking a bit, I heard someone talking behind me. I stopped at a corner to let the guy pass, but when I looked up, I saw it was the same guy and he was talking on a cell phone. I am not sure if he stole it or what, but the only thing I remember hearing him talk about was where he was.

Seeing it was safe, I walked back to my bus stop and I saw two cop cars pull up at the wrong side of the street (my side). The cops got out and talked to this woman who was there when I saw the guy before. She told them where the guy went and they went up the block. Luckily, my bus came after and I got on. During the ride, I saw two more cop cars going up the block, so I knew something had to have gone down.

Once I get back home, I read the local news and saw that there was an altercation at a Costco gas station where an officer was injured trying to apprehend a suspect. I didn't know if it was from that same guy before or just a coincidence. One of the people who left a comment said that he saw the whole thing go down. I asked him if the suspect was wearing a blue shirt and he said yes he was.


I thought I was gonna shit myself reading that. To think that I actually had a run in with someone who could have done something that would involve the cops. I thank the lord that not only the guy never paid any mind to me, but that I also made the right call by walking away. I still very unsettled by the whole encounter. In my whole life of living in this place and walking around like nothing, this is making me think a bit.

I read the rules over again and it seems SL pics are allowed. That being said, prepare to see LOTS of smut that I do on SL. I am still gonna post most of it on Twitter since I can only post one pic at a time on FA, so I may have to combine pics for FA.

So about 20+ years ago, I used to watch this cartoon that involved Godzilla. I'm talking Hanna Barbera style, something you'd see from the 70s or 80s. This cartoon had Godzilla himself, a group of human scientists, and a "Godzooky" character which I think was the big lizard's son. There was one episode I remember where the monster of the week was a kaiju turtle thing where it'd grew bigger every time it stepped into the North (South?) Pole's magnetic field. It grew so huge that its head and limbs were being sucked into its massively bloated body and then it exploded.


Does....anyone know of this?

This year is gonna be simple for me. Just the holiday with the folks in my house. How about you guys?

Within the span of a day, I noticed the marketplace has almost no Pokemon related items now. Every avatar, mod, and other stuff is gone. Only clothes and crap remain, but for how long? Every single Pokemon mod i bought can't be found anymore. Everything I have in my inventory are the only copies I got left. I suspect someone is going around making false copyright claims to get the items pulled.

And I have no regrets giggling like a moron as I fart on every NPC and then using time freeze to let out multiple farts on them.

I really need to throttle back buying commissions. I'm not in any financial trouble *yet!* but I do need to better my spending habits. First thing I wanna do is save up and get myself a new mattress. I had this bed for about 14 years or more (my high school days back then!) and it's beyond shot and worn down. Only commissions I'll be paying for is ones I already have planned in advance.
