status update!
General | Posted 13 years agoI FINALLY HAVE A TABLET OF MY OWN.
thanks to my wonderful grandmother.
I WILL STILL BE DOING THOSE PONY FREEBIES FROM MY PREVIOUS JOURNAL.
in fact, if you didn't get a chance to comment / request one, feel free to do so!
i'll be doing those sporadically, when i feel like it.
ANYWAY, EXPECT TO SEE LOTS OF MATERIAL FROM ME.

I'm in a bit of a pickle.
General | Posted 13 years agoSo, I'm in one of those "damned if I do, damned if I don't" situations where I have no REAL source of income, while having bills to pay.
Given that I've been nude modeling (though it's sporadic given that I can go for upwards of two - three weeks before I have another scheduling), I have 50 dollars in cash right now.
That almost puts me at enough to be able to afford a tablet of my own (so I don't have to use Stormy's.)
H O W E V E R, even if I were to buy it, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to get enough commissions to meet rent next month. That being said, I don't see myself getting any sort of money within the next two weeks otherwise, so I'm thinking maybe it's worth a shot?

Any sort of feedback would be appreciated, because I have no idea what to do at the moment.man,

General | Posted 14 years ago--because as it turns out, it doesn't work too well.
i wasn't the one who actually attempted to fix my tablet cord, it was my dad, but i got my hopes up way higher than they needed to be.
so it goes, though, right??
turns out the cord wasn't messed up because of my cat-- it was because it became disconnected right at the usb-port. SO, he attempted to use a different usb-device by splicing it to my cord, and while it gets power, it doesn't register my pen anymore.

From the looks of it, my tablet is shot.
General | Posted 14 years agoI've been having issues with it for the past several months now, but I've managed to still make it work after excessive wrestling with it and re-adjusting the cord to a "just-right" position.
Now it won't even register with my computer, even after getting it into a position where it'll receive power.
I'm going to try splicing the cord tomorrow, (since that's when I can get the tools to do so), since my cat's chewed on it and I believe that may be a huge part of the problem.
But uhh, in case that doesn't work, any assistance / advice for a new tablet or whatever would be appreciated!!!
