It's been a little while, so I figure I should do my annual Journal post. For the first time in about 5 years (yyyyiiikes), I'm heading to Anthrocon! I'll be there next week, hanging out with Angrboda, Therian and Fuego. We'll also all be doing the R18 TF panel on Saturday night (or, technically Sunday morning, as it starts at midnight). Ang has more details of that in her journal here, but I heard the last one at AC was a blast, so I'm looking forward to being a part of it this year!

If any of you here have a Twitter and haven't seen this already, I'm currently running a thing over there where I'm going to be writing a short, hot, TF story, but I'm getting people to vote on the main parts of it - everything from the main character's gender to the setting and TF trigger. Then, once it's all fleshed out, I'll reveal the final story in a live stream, where Angrboda will draw a sketch of the final form of the main character!

Other than that, one other thing I have to note is - you know how technically I've been open for commissions? Well, as of now that is officially no longer the case! I've got less and less free time of late, and what I can spare for writing stuff I want to spend either doing stuff for here for free or working on future anthologies (the good thing about both of those being that I can write what comes easiest for me, but more importantly I can take 6 months to finish something and nobody minds).

So yeah, FYI to all concerned, I am no longer open for commissions. Hardly earthshattering news, but I wanted to at least put out a notice.

Basically in brief I've released another set of 5 TF sex-themed short stories for sale on Lulu for $6.50. I genuinely agonised over adding that extra $1.50, but seeing as it's about 75% longer than the previous one, I wound up figuring it made sense. Plus, honestly, I put quite a bit of work into this, and I wanted to make sure it turned out worthwhile. The goal for this was to pay my way for while I was couch surfing, essentially making my own job for while I didn't have for a bit, and while I have a job now, it'd be nice to feel like all that time was used productively.

Also, I just wanted to add that don't think I'm only going to be releasing pay-to-view stuff from now on. I've got a nice sequel to that futa werewolf sorority story that hopefully shouldn't take too much longer to get out, and there'll be more stuff after that. It's nice to periodically produce something that takes the time and effort to be worth paying for, but that's certainly not what I'm planning on doing exclusively from here on out.

Been awhile since I put anything here, so let me just start with AC was great! Met a lot of great folks, had a lot of great fun, and somehow experienced a city where furries were briefly relatively common and normal. Worth the trip!

Now however I'm in the process of looking for a new job. It was entirely voluntary (travelling for 3 months and then moving countries will do that), so I'm not in trouble or anything, but still I'm looking for ways to earn some money while I slog through the long job hunt process. Part of that was this story anthology for sale venture, but also I've decided to open up for story commissions.

So! I want to keep it simple when I'm starting out, so I'll start with just one setting - offering a story of approximately 2,500 words (around 5 pages; I'd be shooting for about the same length as my recent werewolf girls story) for $50 (US dollars, that is).

BUT, as an introductory deal, I'm going to start with the first 2 slots being available for $40 instead, both as an incentive and to take the pressure off me a little bit while I get into the swing of things. I'm going to open 4 slots to begin with, and when the first 2 fill the remaining ones will be $50 each (I'll let people know if they miss the $40 offer and give them the chance to back out rather than paying $50). I'll change this journal to reflect when they all get full.

I've got more details in my Commissions tab, but the otherwise just bear in mind that the standard No's apply (death/gore/underage/toilet stuff/bestiality/etc), as well as a few others more specific to just me. I find myself increasingly circling around telling my best friend about all this. Perhaps I should clarify a few things to make that make sense a little more.

Firstly, this particular best friend of mine is the one I do my talking to, that particular friend I call on for the times when I need to talk to someone about things. Accordingly, she knows pretty much everything about me; I lean on her fairly heavily when I have girl problems (she, in turn, generally relies on me as a good friend to get her out of the house periodically and interacting with people. She's deliberately avoiding having girl problems in order to focus on getting her masters in Holy Crap You're Smart). We both know about the internet - hell, we first really started talking after a university tutorial when we both admitted to having LiveJournals, and she admitted to using hers for fanfiction. So she could indeed take all of this without being at least actively shocked that it exists. But, that said, I can't quite figure out how to get the noises that make "I like furry stuff specifically this TF fetish thing" come out of my mouth.

There's no objective reason to tell her - she can live without the knowledge, and it's not like she'd consider it a betrayal not to tell her about some fetish I have. But, as some of you may know, I'm just about to up sticks on a fairly hefty trip, and included in that is going to AC in - geeze, just over a month. I want to be able to talk to her about that; to have some uninvolved marker back home I can discuss things with while I immerse myself in all of this, so that even as I lie back and let "werewolves with tits ahhhh!" wash over me I can still have that one line to pull on and ground me to, someone I can call back on and discuss things with from the outside, as necessary.

In a lot of ways, it doesn't really make sense. I'm supposed to be a pretty secretive guy (even if I'm not necessarily very good at being secretive, as I soon discovered approximately noone was fooled by my "use American spellings rather than British" trick given I freely admitted where I was from when even remotely asked). But I keep having serious urges to talk seriously about all of this to someone outside of it all, perhaps just as a check on things, only to run up against the very real thought of; dude, friends don't need to know what you boner over. She's not going to answer "oh my god, me too!" - she's reacted to the concept of furries in the past in the manner of "sure, I guess, but nope nope nope for seeing/thinking about it" - so the best case scenario is; what? She knows this about me, and then can never un-know it. She wouldn't disown me, but she could very well go "hey that's great now please let's never talk about that again." That doesn't seem like a very good deal.

And yet every time we hang out I really want to talk about it. I think it's because we talk about so much else; we literally spend hours just talking every time we meet up, and yet having this gaping hole of big things I'm doing that I can't even mention, I guess is getting to me.

I genuinely don't know which way I'm going to fall on this one. I guess I'm going to have to make the call sooner rather than later though, given I leave in a little over a week and a half. I know you all can't exactly say what to do given it's not like you know the both of us and our relationship, but still, I wanted to put this here for some reason. I'll let you know how it turns out, I guess.

Probably the same spin of Fetish Jeopardy; by which I mean we'll pick a random person in the audience to choose some weighted categories - 100 from eggs, 300 from goop, 200 from corruption, say - and then I'll come up with a prompt from that, ripperelite will draw a sketch based on that, and I'll attempt to flesh out the pitch into something of a very short story. Then repeat! Or it could be something else entirely. Who knows? (not us)

I'm a pretty secretive guy. You may have noticed from the way I did things like deliberately use American spellings in my stories despite British spellings being what I'm used to, solely so as to make it less clear where I'm from and so who I am. Anyway, I tend to play my cards close to my chest. Which is why it's such a surprise to me to find myself making good friends and hanging out with folks based around a mutual interest in fetish pornography.

It's just not something I do, you know? I've never been the type to sit around and watch a porn with friends. That actually seems rather horrific to me, just a recipe for a ton of awkward stares and nervous coughs while you all try to pretend there's not something you'd rather be doing than making stilted small talk with each other. And yet, I guess what surprises me most isn't that I want to say to other folks who like the stuff that I like "well done, you should do that more", but also that I find myself actually really wanting to have a conversation about the details of the TF fetish - which is particularly impressive considering that for the longest time I hated using the word 'fetish', because it seemed so dirty and out there. But now I want to talk about it in detail; dirty and out there or not? I should add, because I realise this is coming across like this - it's not that I'm wanting to say things like "oh wow nice ladyparts I put my man parts in there and then move them around in the way that is mutually satisfying oh and hey we're seahorses now", but just, talking about things in general as being an interesting topic.

I can - and do - lay the blame for a lot of this wanting to talk squarely at the feet of this podcast, which was pretty much just an exercise in sitting down for an hour and a half or so and going "oh. Oh! So... turns out this is exactly the conversation I want to have. Huh. I... I was unaware."

Fast forward a few months, to where I'm now inexplicably friends with the people behind that podcast (or at least, so sayeth Twitter) and doing things like organising deliberate fetish porn streams with another talented artist, as well as planning a trip in a few months to actually go to a big furry convention.

It's like; I remember having all these little lines originally. Okay, so, I found this weird thing that seemed to appeal to me but I wouldn't go out of my way for it, then I would but I wouldn't make an account anywhere, then I would but I wouldn't pay for access to anything (thank you mamabliss for breaking through that one some years ago), then I would but I'd just lurk rather than interact - and so on and so forth; always drawing a line in the sand in front of me and saying "well, okay, you've done that, but you'll be okay as long as you don't do this." And it's a surprisingly powerful realisation at the end of so many steps to go "actually - how is any of this bad? I'm talking with some cool folks, and there's all these boners where there were no boners before [/simpsons reference]. That seems pretty good, right?"

Every now and then I catch myself feeling weird as I'm saying something in particular - it still feels super awkward to say stuff anywhere near as intense as I write without worry in my stories; so if I'm talking to someone about an idea I have for something that's good I'll almost certainly say things like "and she's uh... having a good time with herself I guess" instead of "and she's masturbating and it's awesomeboners". But, I guess the other realisation was that - for me being secretive is all about not giving up too much of your deep dark secrets that the other person might gain knowledge of you that you can't take back, and then judge you for it. But, the friends I'm making here are starting at that level. When a person starts out by knowing your deepest, most private secrets and can answer them with a shrug and "yeah, me too. Boners, eh?", well, that does rather take the sting out of the confession.

So yeah. Turns out I fetishboners to TF. I mean, that's old news even in terms of me admitting it here, but still, it's something that I'm getting used to acknowledging as a discussion point. So, uh, I guess the tl;dr version is... thanks? Thanks for being cool everyone. Good work on that folks! And so, boners, I guess?

So the stream I mentioned last time with  ripperelite has finished. It was good fun everyone! Good fun. It was a confusing mess as we really had no idea what the hell we were doing, but it was certainly good fun.

Guys! By which I mean; hey, folks!

So, yeah, something pretty cool has gotten lined up! Over the magic of the Twitters, it's wound up that  ripperelite and I have organised to do a joint stream on Saturday evening EST (or starting roughly 36-odd hours from when I posted this if you, like me, can never really get your head around when Eastern Standard Time is meant to be for you).

Now, if you don't know ripperelite, well, you should - she's the artist and overall awesome person behind such pieces as this and this (warning, both NSFW), and she's also really good at sketches although I can't find any specific examples right now but who cares she's great whatever.

Point is, we've decided to combine our powers for some sort of hybrid stream of porn awesome (porsome?). And, we're going to make it a fun game of Fetish Jeopardy. So here's where you come in!

When we run the stream, there's going to be a series of potential categories, along the lines of "Eggs", "TF", "Conversion/Corruption", "Goopiness", etc. Each round, we'll be picking one person at random from the audience of the stream and getting them to call out what they want from that list, but not just that, you assign a value to each one in Jeopardy style, to a maximum of 500. Meaning that you can go "I'll take Eggs for 300 and TF for 200" or "I'll take Corruption for 500" or whatever, so long as it adds up to 500 total (and only in 100 increments. So we really should be just saying 1 to 5, but shhh, Jeopardy. Also I may have never seen a whole episode of that so my approximation of it might not be exact. Jeopardy is about porn, right?). Anyway, from there I'll come up with a concept that is weighted towards those elements - so "Eggs 300 and TF 200" will be quite a bit to do with eggs and a decent amount to do with TF (honestly, that would pretty well describe one of those two pictures I linked above), while Corruption 500 will be all about the Corruption homg just so much. From there ripperelite will attempt a sketch of it, and while she's doing that I'll attempt to flesh out the concept to be at least a very brief story (suitable, for example, to be used as the description to a post on FA, but I don't actually write too fast so don't expect too much!). I'll stop when ripperelite calls done on the sketch, and then it's on to the next round!

Also there may be a Boners Round where everything has boners.

So, FYI folks; if you didn't have anything to do on Saturday night - maybe now you do? It might still fall through if one or the other of us can't make it (that seems unlikely at this point, but you never know. Don't want to promise anything for sure! I'll let you all know if it's cancelled though), but otherwise, should be well cool! I am pretty excited! You might have been able to tell by the way I've been shitting exclamation marks all over this! It is uncomfortable!


I'll post more details; where it'll be at, rules (essentially don't be a creep, a skeeze or a jerk, pretty standard!), and all that later. But for now, hype! Exclamation mark!

Edit: I should add, chances are the pieces will be focussed on the ladies, as that is pretty much what I am all about. Potentially ladies with all of the boners, so be prepared for that - I don't want folks to turn up hungry for just dudes and going away disappointed! Also what we'd be taking from the audience is pretty much entirely just the Jeopardy suggestions, so it won't be a case of being able to go "Draw my character Rumplebutt McForeskin with 400 eggs and 100 Corruption", so yeah, FYI on that front.

So,  taki brought up a good point with me recently. We were talking about the psuedo-commission he won from me, and he said "hey, having read your previous stories, can I ask one thing - would you mind not using the word "cunt"?"

It's gotten me thinking. Even I find it a little bald and shocking to use that word in a journal like this, but to my mind it was essentially acceptable to use it in a story as an equivalent to "cock"; something dramatic and a bit racy to use when the scene gets likewise. I tend to find using "vagina" more than very sparingly seems dry and clinical, as though it's something you've seen on a medical diagram once but never really encountered ("penis" being the same, "testes" even more so, although those come up rather less with me). Likewise, "pussy" feels almost childishly euphemistic, as though it's trying to be dirty, but doesn't really know how to be without giggling about it (I guess to me the equivalent for that is "willy", which I'm sure we can agree is not an erotic description of anything). "Slit" just seems a tad vague, especially used all the time. So, I basically tended to default to the c-word.

When Taki pointed it out however, he added that it might be a cultural thing, which is true. It's a British trait to not treat that word as so hugely offensive - you can't exactly say it on television or anything, but especially where I am it's an existing thing to refer to your friends as G.C.'s, standing for "Good".. .well, you understand. That's male friends more than anything too, by the way. Anyway, my point being; to my mind it's a powerful word, but not one that's inherently unpleasant.

But! Words do have power, and I'd be a pretty big hypocrite if I didn't act accordingly. So my question to you all is have you noticed my repeated use of the c-word in my stories, and would you prefer I stop it? Obviously I'm going to refrain from using it in Taki's story either way, but I want to know if this is a fault I should be correcting in a more general sense. As part of that too, does anyone have any alternatives they could suggest? This - this is opening myself up to a stream of people commenting with "great glorious fun-tunnel" and "inverted pleasure mountain" or whatever, but still. I'd rather avoid have people otherwise enjoying my writing but finding themselves having to pick their way around prickly patches of unpleasantness resulting from me using an unfortunate word. So let me know if that's the case and I'll change things in future to suit.

Hey so, I'm finishing up the part 2 of the story I posted recently, and when that's done (which should hopefully be in the next week or two), I'll finally be without any ongoing story ideas that I'm wanting to write up. And, I'm kind of curious about something!

Story commissions. Now, I'm not open for story commissions, nor do I intend to be any time soon - if nothing else, I doubt the demand is there as my list of followers isn't really large enough to work for it. But, I'm wondering if I would actually be able to do commissions anyway - if I'm capable of writing a story for someone that isn't just "oh hey I wrote this thing vaguely aimed at you I hope you like it but mostly I do so whatevs"

So here's the idea! Everyone who wants to, pitch me a story idea, and I'll pick one and write it. Now, seeing as I'm picking one I like rather than randomly selecting you might want to take a look at my previous journal entry and consider weighing your suggestion towards what I like (if nothing else, I'm not too likely to pick a suggestion with a non-female main character. Even starting out a herm seems a little weird to me; I generally prefer to start off an ordinary human. So that's another thing too I guess!) Wow, all of this is just reinforcing how commissions might not work for me, given that I'd have to get people to commission me to do what I already want to do. Anyway!

tl;dr version: Request a story, folks, and I'll pick one and write it! I'll say two requests per person, so you can hedge your bets if you like and do one you'd like to see and one you think I'd be more inclined to go for. I might surprise you! I also might not! I reckon about 24 hours to make a request? Also, don't feel like you have to be super detailed; you can be if you want to pitch an involved and interesting concept, which is fine, but I've written from things before like "rubber bunrab maids are awesome" and "what about like, an anime show where the girls masturbate to power themselves up into their animal forms"

Everyone should feel free to make a request - even if I've already written stuff for you before (like the aforementioned examples) - I really don't think I've got enough watchers to be picky. Okay, been wanting to write something like this all day, finally going to take a shot at it. Apologies if it comes off as long-winded or anything. Also, as the title says, this isn't a light-hearted topic, so don't expect that. Potential trigger warning also, given I'll be talking vaguely about ideas around rape. So. Here we go then. Oh, I'm also assuming that if you're reading this it's because you're watching me, and therefore know that TF = TransFormation, and the TF-fandom being, well, people who like that sort of thing. Anyway.

I realised I wanted to say something when I was working on my latest story and it struck me it was about TF'ing yet another attractive young woman, seemingly against her will. Now, I've got a tendency to work in the realm of what I'd call "magical consent"; which is to say that while the girls often don't explicitly consent to being TF'd - and sometimes don't consent to having sex - they always enjoy it more or less immediately, and, given the option later on, they wouldn't choose to do anything differently. As fantasy, that works. It can be hot to have someone being overcome; being overwhelmed by both the TF and all-consuming lust despite their best efforts to resist, and having them explicitly consent first can get in the way of that (hence why in the Shortcuts series, which is all about a woman very emphatically consenting to be TF'd by a SCIENCE! guy, the actual TF scene involves them basically roleplaying what it would be like if she was unawares and hadn't consented).

My point is, as a fantasy, that can be fine. However, as much as it's fun and fine to indulge those fantasies, something I'm at least touching on whenever I write stories that include non-consentual situations, you shouldn't let those ideas carry over to the rest of your interactions.

I should say, this isn't directed at anyone in particular, and it's not even from anything I've encountered personally. I'm a young, white, straight male - meaningful discrimination or harrassment isn't really something I've faced. But I was reading something on this topic elsewhere (although that was in the context of the gaming community), and I realised that what I was writing risked making the TF community less awesome by setting quiet standards of "this is how it is acceptable to treat women - as sex objects, whether they want it or not", which is not something to be encouraged. Women can absolutely be sex objects if they want - I know some positively wonderful women who happily refer to themselves as sluts, and several men too for that matter - but it's not a role to be thrust on them merely because they happen to be women, nor is it something to be annoyed at them for if they seem to enjoy doing sexual things, but don't want to do sexual things always, with everyone.

So, uh, the women in my stories often are, or become, sex objects, and they want to be, and they enjoy it. Liking that concept as a fantasy isn't bad or wrong. But in real life women don't automatically want that, and if they don't then they in turn are not bad or wrong. On FA I guess this comes down mostly to what it's appropiate to say to other people, either in comments or notes. Try to be aware of the line between appropriate and not, and if you don't know the person then it's best to err on the side of caution. Again, I can't say too much from experience here, because I can't recall getting anything I found offensive myself, but just be aware that different people have different tolerances. And, if I can make an assumption of something carrying over from the gaming side of the internet; yes, it might be hot that there's a girl on the internet doing something that you consider to be arousing, but even if what she's doing is actively making adult material, that doesn't necessarily mean she wants to know about how aroused it is getting you. She might! Some people are perfectly okay with that as a compliment. But if you assume she wants to know, and wants you to talk about it specifically and in detail, then you're treating her as more of a sex object than anything else, and if she doesn't want that then it's not a good feeling to have that thrust onto you. Best not to assume that without good evidence (like, say, you know her already, or she's stated that she's fine with that), and to err on the side of caution. If in doubt, ask, politely, and don't be offended if someone doesn't share your desire for sexual things to occur.

Again, this isn't focused at anyone, or due to any encounter I have had or seen. It's just, for better or worse the TF fandom is one that I'm invested in, and despite writing stories about women becoming and being used as sextoys, I don't want to help create a culture that is okay with casual misogyny or the like. I don't know if that's something that's present, or a risk, or whatever - for someone who says he's invested in the fandom, I really do have very little direct interaction with it, aside from putting my stories out like messages in a bottle and occasionally getting a few comments floating back. But I guess that's the point - given that my stories are my main method of interaction, I don't want to risk them setting a precedent I'm uncomfortable with.

(tl;dr/short version: Non-consentual situations like in some of my stories can be fun fantasies, but I don't want them to accidentally contribute to a negative/misogynistic culture. The TF fandom should be full of accepting people being cool to each other just as much as it's full of awesome stories or pictures of folks bustin' out of their clothes for sexytimes, so just hoping to do my part to make both sides of that equation a reality)

I put a short story into my scraps recently (this one), that was basically setting up a premise of, well, a girl signing up to be TF'd for SCIENCE!, and volunteering along the way to be a sextoy for good measure.

Turns out (pretty unsurprisingly) that that is a premise I'm interested in carrying on with, but I did promise to run a poll as to what people would like to see happen. Can't promise it will be binding of course, but suggestions are at least welcome.

So! The premise so far is that the girl is wanting to be made into some form of slutty cowgirl - [there used to be a direct quote here, but I figured it better not to have something so NSFW out here as that could potentially surprise people. "Slutty cowgirl" gets the point across anyway, for more you can see towards the end of the story. It's not long]

With that in mind, throwing it open on the following -

And other options to mix it up, such as -

Or indeed, anything else? I'd be keeping it within certain limits - she'd still be humanoid at least, and not just mentally completely an animal, as well as the usual vetos like excessive youth, violence or bathroom-relatedness. Also expansion isn't much my bag, nor pregnancy that results in anything living, as opposed to just eggs, which are easier to deal with), so that's not likely to happen. But aside from those, suggest away. Might not be taken, but more ideas are always nice.

On the whole, this premise is sort of a fun experiment with the concept of fan service even in the first place, so it seems only right to throw it open for more of it. Net result is that I'll likely write a succession of shorter stories all in that vein (shorter ones actually getting done, as opposed to many of my longer attempts). If you'd like to have input on them, go nuts!

What it was actually for turned out to be a healthy lifestyle expo or something, in case you're wondering. I think that the "drugs" part in the middle was possibly something it was suggesting was good to avoid? Who knows, I predictably lost interest pretty rapidly at that point.
