I've noticed a parallel between visual art and music. Most people seem to not take pencil work, or most black and white mediums, seriously, as opposed to color images. The same can be said about acoustic, and full band songs. Being a sound guy in a musical venue, and going to various shows has shown me that people seem to not pay attention when there aren't drums.
I think these both are injustices. Why can't black and white images, and acoustic music be respected? If that's the final way the artists meant for them to be then why can't we still appreciate the work that went into it?

Sonic in Smash Bros...still can't believe it. A mixture of disapointment and excitement. My responce to people always saying that they want Sonic in Smash Bros. was, "they can't do that, he's not a Nintendo character. It has to be Nintendo characters." I actually didn't want them to put Sonic in it. I thought it would be against so many unwritten rules, but I secretly did want him in the game. Then they went and revieled that Snake was gunna be in it and I was like, "What?! No wai! Thats cool" but I was still certain that Sonic couldn't be in it. But lookit that. I was wrong. The fans have spoken.
Sonic's intro video pissed me off. I hurt my soul to see Sonic beating the crap out of Mario, but it rekindled an old flame inside me. Mario vs. Sonic, the original video game rivals. I was and still am a Nintendo fan boy and always rooted for Mario. I would draw pictures of Mario destroying Sonic when I was young, always dreaming of a game in which they could fight eachother so it would be proven that Mario was and is the best video game character, but I knew it to be impossible...but the impossible has happened. The gaming oportunity I have dreamed of, the chance to fight Sonic using Mario. To fight and beat the hell out of him. Everyone will see! I will pwn his blue ass!

You know whats funny? I actually like Sonic as a character. I've always liked speed and fast things. I did like the games as well. It's just that when compairing Sega to Nintendo I felt so strongly in favor of Nintendo. I can't even explain why. I picked up this cue from another's journal and I thought it was a cool idea.

I was introduced to the fandom through a series of events that seem very unlikely to have gotten me here. Okay. Going way back to when my family 1st got the internet in the mid-to-late 90's, one of my brother's friends told us about this site which had a whole bunch of these little movies I later learned were called flash movies. You might know the site, it's called Newgrounds, yea... he told us about it I went there and laughed at the funniness and played the games.

Skip foward a few years to my 1st year of college 2002. Being the typical college student I spent most of my time on the internet when I wasn't doing work (which was often). I still was going to Newgrounds and watching the flash movies and stuff. It was around this time that I saw this particularly creapy movie called "Super Mario Haunted Hell" (for some reason the movie has been deleted from the site). I was particularly interested in the song used in the video, so I looked it up and my search led me to OverClocked Remix. The video game music remixing site. I instantly fell in love with this site.

Fast foward to a few months later in 2003. After being on OCR for awhile checking out the music, I desided to venture into the forums there. I soon found myself in Unmod, the forum that had no moderation so anyone could post anything (yes even porn). This was my favorite location in the forums. Soon after I got there a new thread popped up called "A Furry a day..." I opened the thread and saw the awesomeness that is furry porn and was hooked ever since. Yes, the 1st furry stuff I saw was the porn and it dragged me in because I'm perverted.

It was later after I dug a little deeper that I found the furry fandom and the stuff that wasn't all porn. I liked that stuff to. So I'm not one of those people that has always been furry, I kinda stumbled into it and made it part of my life. A big part.
