Posted 14 years agoI have gotten asked this question multiple times, so I figured I would answer it publicly in a journal!
"Can I trade with someone I have already traded with before?"
The answer is not so black and white. It is OK to do trades with someone you have already traded with if both parties are OK with it. Some people have more than one character, others have multiple ideas they want portrayed on cards. However, no everyone will want to trade with people they have already traded with, so they may say no! But it never hurts to ask, right? Remember, trading is a fun way to network your artwork! So keep the trades going and open!

Secret Santa! READ PLZ

foxytangerine brought to my attention that maybe we could hold a Secret Santa type Trade?
How it would work is that anyone who would like to enter this just needs to send a note with the character they want drawn for them by their secret santa. Then I would put the names in a random thing and have everyone matched with someone. All of the secret santa gifts must be uploaded on the night of the 24th, and I will post them all on here! If you want, you can upload it to outside of FA (like photobucket) that way everyone can be surprised!
Something you should know though: Your Secret Santa may be someone who isn't up to your skill level, so you must be ok with that possibility to enter.
In order for this to work, we should have AT LEAST 5 people entering. If you want to enter this, send a note titled "Secret Santa" with a link of the character you will want drawn!
Everyone who wanted to enter will be given ONE WEEK to finish their piece. That means I will hand out the names on the 17th. That gives everyone TEN DAYS to enter!!!

Reporting Bad Traders
Posted 15 years agoSome furs are unreliable. That is just a fact of the human race. However, unreliability is not something I will tolerate here. If you accept a trade, you must follow through, and keep in contact with the person you are trading with. If you have to postpone a trade, let the person know so they are not left in the dark, it is the right thing to do.
If you are waiting on a trade, or you try to contact a trader and they don't answer for a long period of time, please let me know. I will take action as long as I am aware. If you don't tell me what is happening, I am not aware. When you tell me about something, I will either investigate if it can be investigated (like plagiarism, etc) OR I will send them a note.

Themed Trades
Posted 15 years agoWhen it comes to a Holiday, some people enjoy getting trades that have that holiday as the theme! Be sure to bring up a themed trade with each other if that is something you are interested in!

No one really wants to do trades with someone who isn't willing to send them the product, because that kinda of defeats the purpose of trading cards. If you don't send they work, its like a lot of other online art trades. Instead, traders like to hold the works in their hands and keep them and show them to people. For instance, do you think people would have been interested in just seeing Yugioh, Poke'mon, and other trading cards on their screens without being able to collect and hold them? No, probably not. So please, if you are seriously considering trading, keep this in mind. Send the originals. Why trade them if you don't intend to literally trade them?

This is a hub for all the people on FA ready and willing to do ACEO Trades!
This account has been made as a go to account to find people to do ACEO Trades with! Because we all know how awesome Original Art can be, and we also all know how awesome Trading cards are!
The goal is to make a list of people on FA who are willing to trade with everyone, or just a couple people!
Everyone who is willing to do ACEO Trades is to send this account a NOTE Specifying the type of ACEO's they do, who they will NOT accept trades from (meaning fetishes, species, etc) And if they are willing to trade with everyone, or if they only want us to contact them in certain instances. (Like someone who wants a fat fur ACEO choosing to be contacted ONLY when someone who can draw fat furs is willing to trade) If you want us to screen people for style/subject preferences before informing you of a possible trade, please say that you want to be added to the "special" list and what specifications a potential trader must meet before we contact you (EX: Only inform you if they can do your species, etc etc)
You can trade with more that one person!
You will be added to the registry of people willing to do trades!
IMPORTANT:
Please do not contact any of the people on the "special" list. The "Special" list requires people who want to trade to be screened for suitability to draw their character, or they are people who don't accept trades very often. Everyone who is put on the special list will only be contacted BY US if you can draw their character the way the have specified to us in their note.
