Q. What's with dominant and recessive genes?
The use of dominant and recessive is simply to help create an interesting and unique character in appearance! Most of the creatures you're adopting from me are monsters; this means they're - normally - a mixture of more than one species of animal.
Dominant genes serve as the base: it'll be the what the whole of the character's design will come. So, say you request to have a feline dominant gene - your hatchling will have predominantly feline based features.
Recessive genes serve as a spice up: they'll be used to mix some interesting features into your creature. So, if you ask to have a aquatic base - i.e., something perhaps fish-like - then your feline creature will have aquatic features (fins, gills, scales, etc.).
Q. What possibilities are there for dominant and recessive genes?
Honestly, the gene possibilities are endless! But for the sake of making things simple we'll stick to family classifications in the animal kingdom. I.e., canids, felidae, etc.
So some examples are: felines, canine, equines, mustelidae, avian, etc.
You can also spice it up with cryptozoological animals - i.e., dragons, manticore, unicorns, etc.
Simply put, just about anything is free game. It's just better that you not use specific animals. So, don't say something like "Dominant gene: lion" and instead say "Dominant gene: feline". It'll be arbitrarily assigned for you.
Q. How long will it take for me to receive my creature?
At the shortest, within the day. At the latest, within the week. Honestly, it depends on my schedule since I also work fulltime, and take commissions on the side.
Q. Can I buy more than one egg in a batch?
Of course! It's first come first served, so if you happen to get there and fancy the entire batch, by all means, go for it! More eggs'll come, so there'll always be more chances.
Q. Can I change the gender/appearance of the creature?
You are more than welcome to do that.

General | Posted 11 years agoHow To Adopt
Step One: Adopting an eggThis step is most definitely the easiest! All you need to do is pick the little unhatched egg of your choice. Eggs are released in batches – usually of four – and sold on a first come first served basis. This means that you need to be the first one to claim an egg in order to win!
If you’re the lucky winner of your very own egg, then you have forty-eight (48) hours to pay for the egg – via Paypal, please, thought other methods are possible on request – or you forfeit and the egg moves to the next bidder or returns to sales.
It is possible to reserve eggs on special request, but this is in good faith, and should only be done by serious bidders with every intention of purchasing.
Step Two: Determining the Species Several things need to be taken into consideration when generating a hatchling! Once you’ve won the egg you must send either a note or post a comment on the submission with the following information:
• Gender/Biological sex
• Whether it’s anthro (bipedal) or feral (quadruped)
• Dominant gene: the primary type (i.e., canine, feline, equine, etc.)
• Recessive gene: the secondary type (i.e., avian, reptile, etc.)
Remember to be as creative – or random – as you’d like!
An example of properly filled out information:
• Gender/Biological sex: Male (♂)
• Whether it’s anthro (bipedal) or feral (quadruped): Anthro
• Dominant gene: Canine
• Recessive gene: Monster (arbitrary mix)
Step Three: Taking your newly hatched critter homeOnce your information is received I will generate a creature based on the information provided. This design then becomes yours, and you have complete ownership of the design and the character! They are yours to do with as you will, and I sincerely hope you enjoy them to the fullest. :)
Code of ConductIt is important to remember that the process should be fun and enjoyable for all participants. As such, any forms of name-calling, inappropriate language, slurs or any other forms of derogative language will not be tolerated.
Furthermore, the environment in which these sales take place should be civil and polite. If another person happens to be faster at claiming an egg please do not resort to foul language or inappropriate conduct. People who mistreat others will be banned from participating in future sales. Remember folks, there will always be more opportunities at eggs; there’s no reason to mistreat someone because they beat you to something.
There will be no hounding or relentless bantering. If someone wins a design you’re partial to do not insist they sell it to you. Reselling is permitted (read below), but the winner of the design is not obligated to sell to you. It is their character, to which they own the rights, and should not have to give them up because someone else wants it.
Payments and PricesAs a default, payments are expected to be made through Paypal.
• Paypal information will be divulged once payments are ready to be made
• Paypal information will not be available publically, only on request
• Other forms of payment are possible – if you’re interested in another form of payment don’t hesitate to note me requesting or inquiring about it
Prices are negotiable.
• The standard price for an egg is $7.00 CAD
• Prices will not drop below $5.50 CAD, and haggling prices is only permitted assuming there is good reason/necessity for it
• Tips or generous increases in sale price are more than welcome (not encouraged, but immensely appreciated)
All profits made go towards monthly payments – i.e., rent, food, cost of living expenses, etc.
On occasion, it is also used to help with holiday costs – i.e., gifts, expenses, etc.
In short, all sales and or donations are very much appreciated, and I am grateful for your consideration!
Redesigning and Re-sellingYou are allowed to resell designs, assuming certain conditions are met:
• You are not allowed to resell for higher than you yourself paid originally
• You may sell the design, and any additional things you may have added, at any point in time after you’ve purchased it
You are more than welcome to make changes and alterations to the original design
• Once you have purchased the design it is yours to do with you please
• Any additions and or alterations made are completely acceptable
• Gender/name/species combination changes are also acceptable
