❗️TL;DR at the bottom.

So first I’ll start with life updates and what’s been going on.

For the past 7 months or so I’ve been out of work due to getting “tennis elbow” in my dominant arm, due to overworking myself when drawing and not taking proper breaks and care for myself. All this time I haven’t been paid, and instead have to pay to keep my benefits. And due to the pain, I’ve gone months without drawing and am only dabbling in it recently and slowly, trying to be careful about not overworking myself like I used to.
Being without any source of income has been and still is extremely tough for me. I’m barely able to survive on the amount I get for SNAP benefits, which I’m extremely thankful for enough.
I’ve tried making adopts [the PokePups] a few times, and they tended to go over decently. I debated making more adopts, or perhaps even making a ych…
But again, I have to be careful with my arm. Which is extremely frustrating, especially when I’m actually inspired to draw something.

A lot has been going on even aside from this. Depression and anxiety have hit some of the worst levels in a LONG time since being out of work for so long and feeling as though I’m not worth anything. My mind is VERY cruel to myself, in the worst ways you can imagine. It’s something that’s been going on most of my life, and I’ve really been trying to change the way I think and be easier on myself.
And I’d like to think that I have made progress recently. How I don’t need to tear myself apart and blame myself for every single thing that happens. Things happen. And it’s okay. You just have to continue on, there will be good things…


And recently one of the best things to ever happen to both me and my partner  inferno [aka Ash] actually happened. The two of us met an absolutely delightful and wonderful person, Cyrus, who near instantly became our best friend. We all had the exact same interests, humor, and manner of thinking in nearly every way.
Cyrus truly felt like another one of us. Like someone we never knew how much we needed and wanted. They were like a combination of Ash and I, but of course completely unique as a person. The three of us would talk pretty much every day together, made OCs, exchanged art together, even shared music playlists.
They came over and visited and stayed at our place a few times and every time was a blast.

And the three of us fell in love. Something we never thought was possible or would happen, but it did. So the three of us became a polycule, officially. 💙
That’s the biggest change in my life right now, and it still has me on cloud 9. Especially since we’re [Ash and I] gonna see and be with Cyrus for Anthrocon! This is their first furry con too LMAO

In other news, I want to be even more active on here than before, even if I can’t post as much art as I’d like to right now. So I want to become more active in the community as well. Commenting on works and such because it’s always encouraging and fun to engage. Twitter has been feeling absolutely devoid of that for so long, especially for me, because I’m a small artist.
And yet I still won’t leave that hellsite lmao
But yes, FurAffinity is still the same art driven site it always was, especially when others aren’t anymore and straight up spit in the faces of the artists that built them by having AI slop allowed.

And I’m grateful this site still exists. FA is my home, basically. So it’s time to do some revamping!
I’m gonna be working on updating my profile, gallery, etc. cause’s it’s definitely in need of one. It’s been so many years since I made it look all nice and new.
