My current mood has just had me looking back and thinking. Over time I've found a lot of people are just insecure even when they say they are not. I'm feeling it right now trying to figure stuff out. I look at things I've said and just feels like it's never about helping someone it's just saying something to make me feel better just feels cynical like is it being helpful. While I do appreciate my friends and folks dropping in there's that nagging voice in your head that constantly judges what you saying and doing telling and guessing yourself that they don't care and will turn on you at a moment's notice or they only going to be there for a while if they expect something from you and they find someone better. I probably waste about 30% of my day giving and talking to people who will never come in contact with me ever again. This hurts. This makes me not want to give anymore. This makes me feel more insecure about giving in the first place. I don't want to be a bitter person but it's tough to open up when you can't and I just feel it's better to stay quiet. Right now that voice is telling me to Stop giving a fuck. Most people don’t care about you, so stop giving to the bad apples. Accept people are going to turn on you. Take a stand. Have conviction. What does it matter if you disagree anyway? Nobody is really going to change (let’s be practical here). There are few that are good apples. A few that will stay with you.

At the start of the new year I was fairly excited starting a new job in a field I was brand new in. That seemed to of worn off quickly as the manager wasn't the best at training new hires, with the comments you're doing things wrong while I was working with clients, and just really nothing positive. Like when I had management duties in the front it was frowned upon that I'd open the door for a customer or help them to their car. I'm like Jesus it's just being a decent person. Well, the first job didn't go well and with little warning the manager let me go.

While depressing as it was I did get a call from an old coworker who ran a funeral home and mortuary service and he needed help. I was happy to get back into the saddle and even if it night work it isn't too bad. While the previous job was nice I did like the coworkers and the clients. This job I feel it leaves the mornings open and just give me more leg room to explore other things

Been a bit but I do got a good update. I was able to secure a new job back on the 16th. Bad weather delayed the start till Tues but got started. Currently doing all the onboarding motions of getting settled in and taking the workshops needed to get to know who they run everything. So far it's not too difficult to learn but its a lot of information and I was told not to try to memorize everything they have helpful database that lists all the processes and the co workers are there to help you through. I feel pretty good about it time will tell. And I'm just glad to get back on track. Thanks to everyone who has given out their support it's very much appreciated

Hey there everyone hope you all are doing well. Wanted to give everyone that follows me here a bit of an update how things are going. As with my previous post I was fired back in October on the 16th. It wasn’t because of my performance or how I did the job it was just the economics of it. The funeral home I worked at wasn’t making as much money so they decided to cut staff. What was a kick to the gut was the offered a reduced paycheck with no paid time off added didn’t offer to let me work till the end of the pay period and while I was upset and in a emotional state they offered some money to help but only if o resigned. Come to find out that’s illegal here. So I’m in talks with a lawyer about that but as of yet I’ve not heard anything back. I’m still out on the look out for work and been applying to jobs I felt would fit my qualifications and within my abilities. Several offers declined to move me forward. I truly hate these impersonal digital interviews and it just feels some of these assessments make no damn sense to the job they are about nor when it’s something that’s entry level their asks for 7 to 10 years experience. Never seen such ludicrous gatekeeping.


I’ve had a few in person interviews the night embalmer one I’m a bit skeptical on now. I interviewed them two weeks ago and called twice asking to speak to the manager I met with and I’m just getting ghosted. I’ll try one more time then I’ll cross them out for just being a shit company if they can’t simply tell me they’re looking elsewhere. The few swimming pool companies I’ve looked at feel promising but this is this industry’s down time so I might not find anything before my savings run out. I was let go on Monday from my job. The reason wasn't anything to do with being bad at the job; the business wasn't making enough money and I was let go. Of course, it was quite a shock there weren't any warnings, and in order to get a bit of extra money was forced to sign a resignation letter.

Not going to let this get me feeling down. Been out to several other places to drop off resumes. Did get one interview but it's a bit early to see how I feel on that one since I really wasn't given an answer on what position I would be at. Tomorrow I'll be out to visit a few more places and hopefully get an answer soon.

Well after about a month of looking and with the help of many good friends I’ve finally moved back to Texas and have started the new job. I’m working still in the funeral industry and so far enjoying the new co workers and that I’m closer to home. Do plan on getting more artwork done once things have settled. Gotten quite attached to the homebrew tabletop game been playing and has had quite amount of fun ideas dreaming up.

Well just a bit of an update. Everything is moving along alright company is still closing down the location here and with that my job and apartment will be going away. Thankfully though not at the end of June as what I’ve been told. Still I’m not sitting around and waiting till it happens. I’ve had a lot of support from a lot of friends and family and the Good Samaritan. Been cleaning out most stuff from the apartment and I’m just surprised how much odds and ends I saved thinking I’d have some use for it. Well I wish today would of been a better start. Know I don’t regularly update this journal. Mostly because other than work it’d be a bit dull to rinse and repeat the same over and over again. But point is I’ll be losing my job and along with my apartment that came with it in likely the next month or two. Apparently the company that owns the location has decided to sell off the property and dissolve the business here. Happy to of worked here for nine years but I’m also looking forward to moving back home to be closer to family and friends.

Hey there folks I know its been almost two years since I last made a journal here but long story short everything is going well and I don't have any complaints.

Lately I've decided to expand my little character list here to several with the edition of the raven, Nev, and Kapro. In my spare time which doesn't happen all that often I've been tinkering with the characters backstory trying to tie each of them together.

Originally I created the raven to be an alternate version of Acroth just see the little swirly marking on his beak. Lately I wanted to make the raven his own character but put off giving him a proper name. I'm deciding to go with Benjiro or Ben for short I liked the meaning behind hit meaning to enjoy peace which I feel since he runs an onsen he'd have a peaceful nature to him. Originally I was going to go with Karasu but I wanted a proper name.

I was a bit let down by one artist I was hoping to get a two character piece done but for reasons unknown he had to back out even after we had a partly colored wip piece finished. He did apologized and refunded the full commission price.

I'll diffidently be getting more commissions done of my dragon and raven.

This whole waiting game is beginning to stress me out. Hoping to hear something back today on an interview I had a little over a week ago. Hoping to get the job here and avoid having to move. But if worse comes to worse going to have to see about moving to the DFW area or other major city to find better prospects. Just not looking to the whole extra expenses this will end up being if I need to do that.

Just was given a 30 day notice at work. Time to start printing out resumes. :/
