Yawns and struggles to keep his eyes open......Mmmm This weeks been a little rough. Being on call for the past 2 days and having at least 4 calls on each night at all hours has made me pretty sleepy. But it means a bit more money on payday so I'll take a few days of saddle bagged eyes. Anyway yes busy week getting home only to crash on the bed and conk out for the evening I do apologize for those folks trying to get a hold of me.

Not partially looking forward to meeting with this family today, all of them have calling me this week accusing the other of taking money and belongings that doesn't belong to them and nether one wants to pay for their mother's services. As I told each one of them its not my fight to get into I can't force the other to pay it all if they don't want to all they can do is come together and come to some sort of agreement and and settle up.

Well right now I'm going through websites looking at theatrical contact lenses. I've thought it would be something cool to add to the Acroth partial suit that's I'm getting done. Question is I'm a little leery obviously its something that's going into your eye and right now I'm just looking for something to change my eye color to a deeper green. But I also like the looks of these full eye contacts and I have to say it would be really bitch'n seeing Acroth with green within black eyes or full dragon eyes. So I'm asking anyone what is your experience with them and does it hamper your eye sight any.

Woot I was able to to go ^.=.^ Well I could only come down the Saturday. Friday I had to work and Sunday I may have to go into work again ;p

Overall for a first year convention it was quite entertaining, laid back and everything least on the Saturday went well. Big Kudos to the con staff I know they busted there butts getting everything to run smoothly. Thanks whoever added plenty of con signage around the place. The hotel was very nice and cozy plenty of elevators scattered through out the hotel so no bottle necks. Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful and the Orthodontic Dentist convention across from us was surprised but entertaining con neighbors Vify got me a lifetime membership as well as himself back when prereg started. The badge was pretty nifty metal like conbadge which have the person a super sponsor pass for this year and permanent attending membership the years afterward Goodie bag had quite a few nifty items in it. I got a chuckle out of the Furry Fiesta Con Soap ^.=.^ I really like the con book and was surprised to see it double as a calender.

Big highlights of the day was meeting up with Damien, Sario, and Celyddon first time meeting these three. Also Sarvin, and Fuzzwolf Its been some time since we last hanged out at movie meets back when I was living in Mesquite. Also met Kyell Gold thank you again for signing the book and Dark Natasha. Fishy I was trying to find you girl missed you again

Bumped into Vify right when I was registering spent most of the day with him and his new mate JKapricorn mostly catching up and wishing each other well. Overall the day went by too quickly I wish I could of stayed longer but I'm pleased to see they will be there next year. Last number I heard was 550 attendees

Well I got home around 3:00am this morning quickly unpacked and hit the sack sleeping to about 9:30am. I still felt like crap sore achy muscles, breathing feels labored and head still slightly stuffy still its not near as bad as it was on Saturday.

Suffice to say the con was ok for the most part I could make it through. Granted getting this sick on Thursday while waiting in the registration line was a bummer. It was good to see all my friends from last year. Vify, Rensis, Mu, Skadjer, SlashOx, Kaa Bakensobek *hug happy to finally see you*, Miss Shin and Drakkor, Miss Star and Saman, Kigs, Necro, Morrin and Oby, Havoc Dragon, BlakDrag, Dyne and everyone else it was good to see you all again sorry if I wasn't at the top of my game through the con.

Thank you Vify for doing your best to take care of me running and picking me up orange juice when I was under the weather. Skadjer Aaaah I finally saw you with the hat hehe its absolutely amazing ^.=.^ you slash and the bunch did a very good job at the dragon panel and eep I wasn't expecting you to point me out at the panel *shys* ^.=.^. Rensis it was fun rooming with you and Mu thank you for the badges and bottle cap. I still think your pipboy character is awesome :3 Also I thought it was hilarious seeing you pretend ( you spy but you used your stealthy hat :3 ) to be Black Teagen with Kenket and at least four people really did believe you where Teagan ROFLs Kigs it was great to meet you again thank you for the badges and the original print, I'm honored that you really do enjoy my ideas hehe I try to keep them as quirky and original and artist friendly as I can ^.=.^ I look forward to doing more commissions from you. If any body is going to FC and passing through Arizona if they could give Skadjer a lift. Skadjer would like to make it to FC but he needs a ride if anyone can pick him up.

I'm ok but it looks like I'll be needing to get a new hood and front bumper and possibly a new radiator. Coming home I was coming up on a Dodge pickup parked at the stop sign stopping behind him a good half cars length away he puts his car in reverse thinking he was to far out in the road and starts backing up. I beep my horn once to let him know I'm there and well he just kept on a coming till I see the back of his tire rolling up on my hood. I laid down on the horn and my horn is pussy and hearing it go Wiiii-zooonk but it was too late I think it killed my horn. I laugh at it now because the look on my face was Good god STOP!! I really felt I was about to jump out of the car if I seen it come up any further. But he stopped and pulled forward crimping the hood and front bumper badly. I felt sorry for the old couple driving they where more panicky than me. But he was insured and was deeply sorry me I'm just glad no one was hurt.

Hello, just a little update. I've been having PC problems a couple weeks ago and it finally ended up culminating in a burned out motherboard. With big help and a big thank you from Vify, he got me hooked up with a pretty darn good bare bone PC that its stats just blew away my old rig. I managed to save the old hard drive but they did have to reinstall the OS and I did loose several pictures I been working on before the problems cropped up. Thank you vify for everything you did for me *hug*

Works been going well, there's still some laziness from other coworkers. Honestly it makes the day go by so much faster when you take the time and do everything needed to be done instead of holding up in their little cubicle. which probably wouldn't make me the best office man I really like to get out and do things instead of getting boxed up all day watching a pc monitor. I'm not complaining though after reading others journals its now getting pretty difficult to find work.

Looking forward to FC next month and meeting friends I've missed from last year. Artwork has been on the back burner for a bit with the pc problems and having to reinstall all those programs I've lost was annoying especially when you forgotten where you placed the cd box hehe. I do have several commission works for artists going on.

Well lots of things have been going on lately. Work is going along well if a bit overwhelmed, having one director retire early and still be short handed on assistants is making things a bit more challenging but still manageable. Everything has been smoothed over with the argument I had with Jonathan the co worker that got upset at me last week. In fact the talk was quite productive and I was able to get many concerns off my chest and answered. But we are both working well again and I'm jumping in and sitting in more with families and the other directors are utilizing the part time help more instead of dropping everything on me.

Personal wise me and vify feel things are progressing smoothly again. I know I can want things to happen to soon than they should be. I have to be a lot more patient. My family is doing well Tracy my twin has finished painting the inside of her house even though I tried to help she beat the crap out of me and Paint Nazi banned me from painting her walls *cries* hehe But she did a great and professional looking job I just hope she doesn't see the scratch on the way behind the china hutch *whistles innocently* It was heavy ok :p Hailey my little sis is doing well her and the boys went up to visit there husbands parents in South Dakota and should be coming back sometime this week. Art wise I'm still plugging away on several ideas and working on a few comics. I don't think I'll have the Halloween pic done in time Acroth eating pumpkins :3 nom nom nom but it still will be cute ^.=.^

Also ended up incurring myself a seat belt ticket and coming from the fellow that does our funeral escorts he let me have it with the shame shame look :p I know I know its not a habit but learned a expensive 150 buck lesson there. I felt a bit lucky though it could of been a lot worst, the fellow next to me his fine for not having a valid insurance, no license, expired inspection and speeding was over 700 bucks and the teens reply was *Gasp* Oh Mmmm...wheres the atm.

In other news Yes I'll be going to FC 09 ^.=.^ Woohoo

I'll be leaving on the 21st of Jan at DFW on US Airways at around noon and fly to Phoenix for a short layover before heading to San Jose and arriving around 3:30pm Eastern time. I'll be leaving back on the 26th around 4:00pm then another short layover in Phoenix before getting back to Dallas around midnight. I'll be rooming with vify and be his gray fox suit helper hehe and look forward to seeing all my friends again there and also making new ones. I'm leaving a day early mainly because it would be hard for me to get a extended vacation time at work (they like for vacation to be taken Monday to Monday not broken up) and I'd only be using one personal day for the Monday so I'm not hoofing it back to try to make it in for work. I still need to get the time off but I already let them know I'm wanting that week off so there should be no problems there.

Well Ike blew in last Friday early Saturday and thankfully other than a front and back yard full of leaves and twigs nothing was damaged around the home or at any of my relatives. I did lose power for 4 days, both me and my mom had to clear out our fridges almost all the stores in the area sold out of ice and dry ice. But I'm just thankful everyone's ok.

I stumbled upon that quote today after I spent much of the day being a bit of aloof frustrated a bit by lacks of creativity but still budding inspired ideas. I swear one day they'll be put to pen to paper some day *crosses his fingers* hehe. No what brought attention to this quote was a few days ago I was on a service over in Mattox Texas which is just a very small township around New Diana and Lone Star, The service went slightly long and one of my co-workers gave me some petty cash for lunch since the day was drawing late. Well on my return back to Longview I stopped a local Texmex restaurant that seemed pretty popular seeing the large crowd of folks there, and indeed it was quite good food and the hostess was a very sweet young woman that seemed a bit wore out from all the hustle and bustle. After I paid for lunch and left a nice tip with my own money I went back to the funeral home and put in the receipt and the rest of the change to our book keeper.

She told me I gave her way too much back, puzzled I asked how much I gave in she said over 20 dollars worth. The meal only came to 13 dollars. So she over paid me seven, now I know to some they feel well its only seven dollars but to me I couldn't keep it. So I took my car back to the restaurant and returned the extra, and I never thought I'd get a lot of surprised looks. Come to find out it was the waitress's first day there and she was very much thankful that I came back and returned the extra monies. So I left the restaurant a tad bit lighter in my wallet ((I don't think lint and my lucky mushed penny is legal tender)) but I guess I'm a bit wealthy in other areas.

I told a couple of my coworkers the what happen one felt it was nice while another felt I should of kept it and not of wasted the gas to drive back. This other person told me a similar story where he was buying fireworks on the forth of July the attendant of the stand was very intoxicated he said the attendant was rude and tacky. The coworker bought eighty dollars worth of fireworks paid a hundred and got back four hundred in change now I don't know if he was yanking my chain I certainly felt he might of been embellishing it. But really even though the guy might of had a bad day or was just being and ass would you still feel justified at taking the guys money. Well apparently he did and went back 20 mins later and bought more fire works from him.

So I have to ask has anybody experienced something similar or if they where faced with the same choice would you keep the money or take the extra step and return it?

Woohoo well I'm in day 2 of my 10 day vacation and phew it couldn't have come any sooner ^.=.^ Tomorrow I'll be heading out to visit friends down in San Antonio wouldn't mind saying howdy to anyone down there ^^ I'll be staying there till Tuesday. The rest of the week will be spent moving into back to my mom's to help her out. Other than that everything is going pretty well.

Last night I kept hearing this creaking and I put it on the back burner thinking it was just my fan. Well working on art in my chair at my desk here the creaking just kept getting louder and louder and I felt ok what the hell leaned back in the chair to look under the desk when I heard a loud snap and my eyes going big eyed as I fell backward. Upon looking at the chair I noticed two bolts had sheered off and only one was holding the back and the creaking was the whole bolt pulling out of the wood. So now I'm out a chair but it gives me a good reason to do some shopping today ^.=.^ can't knocked the old one it was a cheap 20 dollar special that I had it over 5 years. So out with the old hopefully the new one won't have my butt tumbling backwards hehe

Well after many many calls, messages, emails, faxes and certified letters; to the Texas Funeral Service Commission. I've finally been told on the phone, yes, I got my Funeral Directors / Embalmers license. *dances* They sent the Exit papers on the 7th so I should have them tomorrow or Friday at the latest. I'm still some what apprehensive until I finally get the license in my hand but I'm very very happy it's a done deal.

Almost a month ago I informed you all that I finished my funeral directing and embalming provisionals early this month? Well its been nearly a month since I've heard any word from the funeral service trade commission, and sucking up my gut, summoning little mighty courage, I meekly called them today.

Something they tell you in big bold double score underline print not to do. Saying due to high amounts of case work blah blah blah Don't call us we'll notify you by mail if something is wrong. Well its been nearly a month and no letter not a peep. So I call them, and they where pretty helpful for the most part till I asked hey whats my status? The first thing that instantly comes out is, "Well sir we don't have your case work..."

So now I'm scared, and my starting to panic losing a years worth of hard work does thing to ya. I know and told them look I know you folks have it UPS sent me and email telling me ya'll signed for the package. Now the kicker was "We need proof of who signed it and oh also the sponsor letter must be there.."

Ok now this doesn't have me so scared, I go home quick recover the UPS receipt and look up online and sure enough they said yup they got it on the 7th. Now just slightly more annoyed than scared I call them back and say "Look UPS says you people have it fellow up at the front desk signed for it *gives her the name*" there reply "Well I guess we ought to look around for it then... we'll call you back if we find it Oh you do have your sponsor letter?" my reply "Yes ma'am thats the first page your going to find once you open that folder up..."

Half hour passes and they call, yes they do have it. *big big weight off my shoulders* where was it.... on there desk behind them. But there now is a problem * Tension & panic mounts again* I've triple checked this thing constantly before sending it off and I'm thinking shit shit crap crap what did I miss name, messed up dates, those damn COMMAS *sweat sweat* No the problem was with the Feb. and Sept. months the first set of reports I sent in where handwritten the reports I sent in at the end of the year where written on typewriter. There was nothing wrong with the information each had the same information they just want to know why one was typed and the other handwritten and that was it. Everything else is perfect.

I was expecting something terrible like forgetting something signed or a date or that damn commas. But trying to make everything look neat so that the review purpose could go faster I was just floored with that catch 22 excuse. So now I have to write them a letter and long with my sponsor saying why was one typed and the other not "Duh so you nit pickers could read it better" then I should be ok. Though now that I did light a fire under there seats I do somewhat expect of having them come up with another excuse of why I shouldn't get the license and my boss said if they do say something more it might be time to start filing a complaint with the FCC and looking to get the legal ball rolling cause the excuses now is just being asinine ridiculous.

Well it might not look much but it's a whole years worth of work. Approximately 240 cases of completed case work or a little over 700 pages worth of forms. I'm still a bit overwhelmed but I can't say this is all has been smooth sailing, over the year I've know about 4 cases that to be of people who I've known personally. I never thought that any of these cases to be just simple numbers looking through them I can remember a good deal of how each one went.

I'm still a bit nervious if the commission has anything to say, I don't think they will be having me down in Austin I've triple checked all the work and all is in order. Last time I heard they no longer do the exit reviews. Which I found pretty silly to tell everyone to go to Austin wait a long time in the office just to sit in a room and be given the feeling foreboding judgment your not going to make it answer several random questions and told thank you and be on your way all with in 5 minutes of being called in. Either way I'm very relieved I'm finished.

Now that I'm back home and gotten over 8 hours sleep (I always seem to sleep much better when I'm back in my old bed) I can better recount what went on for me at my 1st FC and second convention. Overall I had a great time there even though there seemed to be some moments where I was running back and forth very quickly to meet friends and to make dates and I do apologize to any if I seemed a bit rushed.

Getting there wasn't too bad I had to leave out quite early to catch my afternoon flight. Flight did go well I was happy they put me on and aisle seat rather than crammed in the center. I really wished the weather was much better, I get on a plane in Dallas and land in San Jose and it felt like I haven't went anywhere. But thankfully we did have at least a couple breaks in the weather. After and little mix up at check in apparently there where 2 Mark's that reservations and was was checking out that evening. But all got smoothed out rather quickly. We stayed on the 9th floor in Rm 974 almost to the end on the hall. It wasn't bad at all very quite, and I had a pretty lovely if not always rainy view of San Jose and really the elevator wait I was a little afraid of really wasn't to bad. I got in before vifyfox and spent the few hours exploring the hotel I wanted to surprise Vify with a hug at the front door but he was sneaky and got in from a side door and tackle hugged me when I went back up to the room XD. Also met Karen our other roomie, she was quite a fantastic personality. Vify brought over his Nightmare studio's Halo suit, sadly though I was a bit to tall to wear it haha other than very heavy it was pretty kick butt.

Next morning was the official start of the con, registration was very long haha especially pre-reg. After a little snafu in communications one staffer was saying if you wanted to upgrade to sponsor or patron you can get into line, well got up to the desk and was told they wouldn't take and upgrade and the reason was "because it will make the other sponsors and patrons have to wait longer" well decided it was best just to wait a few hours and talk to a different cashier where they where happy to upgrade me to sponsor. Met Mr.kigeni, Mr.morning_dragon, Mr.mottenfest, Mr.pyrophin,Mr.kemanorel01,Mr.drakkor, Miss shinigamigirl, Mr.oby, Mr.syrus_draco, Miss starfinder Snuck up and surprised Mr skadjer who was very happy to see me. New friends I met was Mr. Wind-dragon and Mr.slashox and many many others.

Rest of the convention went very well dropped by and seen Kig's show, sorry if I was in your way Mr. Kigs. I did try your cell phone trick and sadly the world didn't go boom D: haha. Made a quick dash to the Adult dragon panel, very impressed with everyones work Skadjer you and SlashOx did and excellent job. I think we all had the same feeling as Jace did was like WOW haha. Kudos to Mr.kitelessd you did and excellent job throwing out the candies to the randy dragon lovers out there and being the master of the panel and the fidgety remote clicker. I missed the dragon and scales panel hehe had the days mixed up, but I did spend much time weaving my way around the dealer tables picking up and greeting many folks. I was happy to be Miss Starfinder's water dragon for a couple minutes as she was working intently on the mass of con badge commissions she was whittling away on. I liked her system of having a signup sheet and payment system versus just doing it on the fly. Also happy to hear you where not suffering to bad from those annoying migraines I only had to deal with one set just during my flight over. Hope you enjoy the starbucks card haha I didn't know exactly what flavor of coffee you enjoyed and thought that was the next best thing.

Meet up with Radjin and Growlcoon who happily took vify and me out on several breakfast, lunch, and dinner occasions and and excellent dinner at the Spencer restaurant where they took a picture of me having a massive sweet shock from there chocolate cake. I swear if someone chuck that off the hotel it would knock a person out cold. Vify finally met up with the luskwood folks and they got him his gray fox suit hehe Vify called me his guide dragon just so he could get used to seeing and walking around. So if ya'll saw a gray fox holding on a guy in a black leather jacket's should that was us XD. I must give credit to all those that do suit, its a very physically demanding. I really felt sorry for some suiters at the dance most what I heard was fast pace trance and techno music and not many in a suit could keep up the pace to long before having to go and cool off. Still I look forward to possible getting and Acroth suit made one day XD.

Oh I did win a nice piece "A Soldier's prayer" from starfinder at the art auction. Only quips I had with the auction was it wasn't told in bold how to buy out a piece. I was a bit rushed when filling out the forms since they had 5 other's waiting to get there numbers. So I lost a piece I really wanted but hehe at least the artist got more than he was asking for ^.=.^ I'd of included that info on the back of the stickers since they didn't give you a copy of the bidders agreement. Also I kinda wish they would of added a minimum bid increments, I noticed several good works where they low-balled the bids up by only a dollar to push it into auction. Me if I like the work have them bid 5 or 10 bucks more so if it does go to auction the artist gets more than just 6 bucks over the minimum asking price if no other person bids on it.

Thank you Skadjer for inviting me to my first artjam. Your where a most gracious room guardian. I must say it was a rather interesting and most creative experience. I tried to steady myself as we both shared the bed and I have to say even though I was just sketching the eek feel when some one just bumped the bed was keeping me on my toes. Which was a good feeling really that was the first time I was drawing around other artists and people. Also thank you most sincerely for lending me a sheet a paper and your waldo book to sketch on XD. It was a very positive experience and I'm amazed at how many ideas where flying around the room I only regret for forgetting to grab my sketch book and sketching supplies hehe they greeted me as I came home all packed in my dragon art satchel. Next time I'll make sure I glue it to my hands X3.

There where a couple awkward moments during the con. For those people that know me I sometimes have either a dark or laid back sense of humor, plus Vify and myself are always there to help out anyone that needs it and I do like to surprise my friends. Sometimes it comes at wrong moments and for that I truly do apologize. But instead of brining them up and after talking to everyone afterwards I am pleased there where no hard feelings.

I do have to say Vify and I were very pleased to help get Mottenfest flight out to FC, and we where more than happy to give you some floorspace for the last day. Manchester looked awesome in Vify's Halo armor I really feel both me and Vify had much more fun seeing everyone else who we helped have a great time. Haha I did laugh when we tried to get some Chinese food and we drove up to the restaurant to find it all boarded up and fenced off XD, I wished we had time to hopped the fence and ride the Chinese dragon statue that was out there.

Of course the best part of the con was spending lots and lots of time with Vifyfox who holds a very close and special place in my heart. Hehe even though there where many bops to the nose to attempts by a very very amorous inclined draggy I very much loved and treasured all the time I spent with you vify. I still miss you very much Vify *hugs your sexy hindpaws* XD

Leaving of course was the hardest thing to do, I so much wanted to meet everyone who I knew there and meet knew friends (this dragon is friends greedy). I didn't have that bad of post con depression as I did during AC in 05 because I feel I had a great chance to say best travels to all my friends. (I try to make it a point never to say good byes just until we meet again) On my travels back I had the pleasure of meeting a UK fur Ash fox as well as the other traveling furs (arrghs I wish I wrote ya'lls names down), we both where delayed several times due to a late flight and it was a pleasure to help you out and a pleasure to chat with you during our Post FC Airport Mini meet X3 or PFCAMM XD

All in all I had a great time at FC and very much hope to do it again next year <3 *hugs to all*
and yup as soon as I talk to Vify I'll see if I can get copies of the pictures I took X3

I hate getting these cluster migraines usually its just two or three in row they don't last more than a and hour or so. This one is just a little rough so far its lasted more than several hours and it's making me so nauseated I feel like almost throwing up. Lights are off and I have the monitor on the PC turned down to near dark. Taken a couple of migraine strength aspirin and not trying to move around much. I feel its starting to let up some and feeling less nauseated still I'm trying not to move my head around much. But I can feel it seemingly lurking and moving around from left to right. Mmmm all I can do is just be still and not do much moving around.

In the New Year's Resolution meme, you have to make three different resolutions for your time on FA.

1. The first resolution is about what you regret doing or not doing.

1. Hmmm well I don't really have anything I regretted doing last year least nothing that was very serious. I look back and I can say I wished I could of changed some of the things and offer better advice to friends.

3. Hmmm well I'd like to stick better to the going to the gym thing haha just going on my days off just feel like its not cutting it.

Well close approaching nearly a year ago since I graduated from Mortuary school in Dallas 2 years ago since I started. I remember the day pretty vividly the drive up the first day was very hard to do some was nervousness from living far away on my own (the deal I had to room with friends fell through the day before school was set to start ;p ) mostly because of the intense traffic from everyone moving from the Katrina hurricane. But after nearly a year and a half later many friendships, tears, heartaches and joys and one sneaky Nevada raptor dropping in at such short notice to invite me to see a play his sister was in. It just makes me happy I did it. Now I'm just couple more months away from getting my licenses from there I dunno time will tell but I have a good feelings.
