Oh hey guys I thought Id do a larger journal covering a few things this time so here it is.

So Furnal Equinox happened and it was awesome! The new venue was phenomenal and I really enjoyed it. The con itself was amazing met a ton of new friends and saw old ones that I haven't seen in ages. Even if it was in passing it put a smile on my face. I was super busy this con so I apologize that I couldn't really spend time catching up or hanging out. I did work a lot this con, I took the job as dance lead post con last year and I was blown away with the amount of complements towards our DJs and their performances this year. The AV team killed it and if you were there you know what Im talking about! Huge shout out to the AV masters Olifin, Av wuff, Oddy, Fizz otter, Wrath, Arctic Sky Wolf, Blast Goggles and others I may not have met formally. Also Scani, Mune and Ronnie for helping me out immensely. You guys are the real rockstars!


Possible FWA

So story, back in august I won a photo contest by air Canada and won free airfare. I was planing on using this to go to Japan but unfortunately I recently found out they changed things the tickets now expire on April 15th so I was pissed but looking on the bright side Im trying to make a last minute trip to FWA. I have a very important film shoot on the 7th and I would have to run to the airport after and arrive late at night in Atlanta. Thankfully I don't have classes on Monday anymore so I could stay for the rest of the con. Right now it all rides on if I can get 8th and 9th off of work last minute. I would love to attend to just experience a con of this scope and meet people I haven't seen in years or ever. If I can't get work off I'll probably just make a 1 or 2 day trip to Boston or somewhere on the east coast or maybe some Paris or something just as a break.

Updates

This semester has literally beaten me, physically, emotionally and mentally. I am constantly trying to keep my head above water dealing with school, work and family issues. I have poured all of my time and energy into school this year because I want it that badly. I want to succeed, I want to excel Im just burnt out. I have been pushed to my limits time and time again and I get its the program but this semester is nuts. Three weeks left thankfully but there are just several projects Im working on at the same time that need to get done. I'm very close to finishing one that's outside of class, a music video for a local band. Im super stoked to show you guys, its been a joy to work on and its one of the projects this year that has been keeping me going. Work is going well at least Ive been with the company for a year now I got my bronze level which is awesome. This time of year is brutal as we are short staffed in our department because the seasonal hires wont be on the floor so all of us are doing full shifts alone. There are also a ton of issues going on that are more personal so I wont go into it. All in all I desperately need a break and to use this airfare to get even a day break would help immensely.

Been attending this con for 5 years now and this year was phenomenal! Lots of great experiences and such. If you read the conbook you may have seen a work I did last year published this one. Had the honor of judging the dance comp and every competitor brought their A game! I was really blown away with the talent showcased this year! You may have also seen me running around giving away free  canfurence buttons, I believe I gave out over 400 so I really hope some of you managed to get one. The best part by far however was DJing Saturday night for you guys! I had the time of my life and by the comments I've received so did some of you. Sooo next con? For me that will be a day trip to Anime North, Unfortunately this year I wont be making the trek to the states for Anthrocon but if everything works out I may make it to MFF but I'll see how that goes.

I'm running a bunch of stuff this year like the Lady-Furs panel @ 8PM Friday in Collingwood & the Dancerfur Meet & Greet, Learn & Teach @ 2:30 PM on Sunday in Collingwood. The last panel is basically a nice opportunity to learn and teach dance from one another as that is really what the community is about. This is an open panel if you have an interest in dance or want to see what its like etc. every skill level and style preference is welcomed :) I'll also be a helping hand running the nightly dances as well as having a DJ set this year (Saturday night closer). also be taking a few shifts at the canfurence dealers table.

Heyo, hope you all had a fantastic new year.

2015 was full of extreme highs and extreme lows. I'm only going to be going into some of the highlights of the year as I'd rather not talk about lows cause that'd be kinda venting to you guys dont wanna do that to ya.

I got accepted into the university program of my dreams
Graduated High School as an Ontario Scholar
Went on a trip of a lifetime to Alaska this summer
Started studying at Ryerson University in the heart of Toronto
Partied into the new year

I made a ton of new friends this year and strengthened a few friendships

so 2016........... I'm not walking into it I'm freaking RUNNING into it!
Lots of big things and opportunities
Many of you may know of the event we at canFURence had on January 2nd called "pawprints in the snow" it went along fantastically, I ran the dance comp and its the first one I've ever hosted and it went along flawlessly! A huge thank you to the volunteers, judges and all who competed. Buuuut pawprints was more than just an event it was the launch party for a brand new convention in Ottawa  canfurence will be taking place in Fall of 2016! www.canfurence.ca

I'm honored to be staff for this con, we have been working incredibly hard to bring this major event to you guys!

Of course whats new years without some resolutions eh? well I've decided not to have any but to have new year goals instead! I want to keep these private and check them off when I achieve them and reveal them on NYE and what I achieved and what I didn't. Changing things up a little.

2016 will be full of amazing opportunities for me and hopefully I'll grow my skills, learn and have new experiences.

one thing for sure is that this was a phenomenal con! everyone made it just fabulous and fun. I desperately needed this weekend. there was just so much shit going on that I couldn't handle and this break really meant a great deal to me. For the first time ever I managed to hit every panel I wanted to attend, even though I only went to a few the fact I kept on track and went is quite the accomplishment. I also managed to finish clumzy 's feetpaws in time as well for his fursuit so a few good accomplishments this con. T'was rooming with squad  sweeneyblake kiaa  luxuris and trash baby  roudyraccoon so many fabu adventures. had a blast at the dances, parties and just chatting with random people. The masquerade was really rad had a blast seeing old and new friends perform and rock the stage. The dance competition was hype as always and I was glad to bring back the furry mosh pit!( swear I gotta make t shirts for that XP) Even though there were fewer performers than last year it was just amazing to see so many new faces! Just awesome to see how the community has grown for this con over the past few years :3 SOoOoO as some of you may know I kinda injured myself during the weekend and did not finish my performance, I ended up creating two Minor tears on a couple of tendons in my ankle. I would love to give a HUGE thank you from the bottom of my heart to BT-Armistice, Arc,Arcot, Panzir, Kalli, kiaa, cobaltin and KaliburtheWolf for their help with my injury especially BT! currently my ankle is fully healed and I'm ready for hockey provincials! I would like to thank Scani for a wonderful con, running one is no easy task and He did an amazing job for his first year as chair! <3 so next year's theme is superheros and as a comic nerd I'm pretty excited :D
Unfortunatly as soon as I left the con all the shit and issues just hit me in the face at full force but ya know I gotta deal with it and stay strong for the ones I love.

It was magical, really all I can say. After waiting almost 4 years to be there it was just amazing. To be standing in places I've only ever seen in videos, to meet so many new and amazing people, to hang out with old friends. This con had it all! It was just an amazing experience for me like wow. The amount of love, support and kind words I received from people put me over the moon. First time I cried leaving a convention and PCD hit hard on that 10 hour ride back.

Thursday, was filled with waiting in line, yup the preregister online didn't allow my address to be "valid" so it forced me to take the long ass line, Honestly wouldn't trade those 6 hours for anything. they sucked but I can tell you I met about 28 amazing individuals.Then rave time. Friday, spent running around meeting new people being stupid and chilling with old friends, as per usual spent the whole day suiting as I usually do at Cons really need to stop doing that but hey. Dance prelims AKA hell, I have never ever had a panic Attack at a con let alone in suit and it was scary, like it happened right as I stepped on that floor, but hey there were amazing people there to help me like these three mofo's aspenbear PyroAssassin snapback I ended up being the LAST novice called and it was a great feeling to finally conquer a goal I set for myself. caught the tail end of the fireworks and then headed to the rave, with shock.Saturday spent hanging out with friends and meeting new ones. For the parade everyone called it the "death march" came nothing close to death at all was really easy but I was in a partial so would make sense, poked my head into the dealers den for a bit, bought a few things then headed off to floorwars. O_o so much talent like dammmmmmmnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was pretty rad being a competitor and everyone did super uberly amazing. grabbed some quick dinner then went to the rave. till they had to kick us out.I didn't have a room for Sunday so after preforming in the dance competition I was supposed to put my suit in a friends hotel room and change into fresh clothes but they ran off and I was suiting for the rest of the day, It wasn't a bad thing actually as I was tearing up quite often and the suit hides it sooo yeah. TK did invite me to the dancerfurs dinner at the buffet but I didn't attend mainly because I didn't really feel like I "deserved" to attend if that makes sense or something, anyhoo, spent some time with a bunch of amazing people before they left. I did however Go to the buffet to try to find snap and thankfully she was still there, after a nice crying heart to heart and accidentally breaking a glass cup It was time to go. On the way back we stopped at steak n shake and holy crap its amazing! $29 for 4 people and 2 milkshakes as well! aand tryied really hard not to cry in the restaurant.

In all honestly I can't describe EVERY thing or thank every person I want to but I want to thank every single person for making this con so special and amazing, if we talked if we danced together/vs each other, if we made eye contact, thank you soo much from the bottom of my heart! <3 you all this con did change a ton of things for me and I'm super happy about that.


so I'm going to try real hard to get to MFF '14 but my next confirmed convention will be Furnal Equinox '15 and I better see a bunch of ya at FE! amazing con, by far the most well run I have ever attended, so ya better be there k!
