In a nutshell: If you go to the emergency room you are willingly putting yourself over a barrel and letting the hospital have their way with you~

Try and negotiate!:Because I didn't and now it is far to late to try and pay a lower amount.

Don't go to the emergency room. Or hospital. Unless it is a life or death situation. But even after said situation your life might be turned upside down due to medical bills.

I'm going to end up paying about 800 dollars for a referral. Because that is what a level 1 emergency visit average cost tends to be where I live.

So if anyone reads this, if you live in the USA, for the love of all that is holy avoid the hospital unless you want to pay out the wazoo.
