Posted 12 years agoI have been planning this for a while now and I feel it's a good moment to go over this fun little project.
I'm planning on creating and selling some fun trinket packages, based off an array assortment of characters by my own design. Currently I am in the process of writing, and drawing imagery, concept designs and sheets for the models. These are currently focused on monsters/monster girls and boys (i.e. minotaur, lamia, vampire, bug, alien, goblin etc etc.).
Each package will contain.......
1 figurine. A physical, 3D model of the character.
Drawing of the character...
An assortment of cool, fun little trinkets (i.e. fantasy coins made of real cast metal, talisman, wand, etc.)
Each package will contain a random assortment of the trinkets. Again yes, the coins will be real cast metal. Fun to use for tabletop games or RPGs with friends. The figurine will be too large to be considered a miniature for tabletop use however.
So what I am having to plan is,....where to get the packaging box containers in bulk, among other items for packaging. Each box will have a printed surface design by yours truly, and the package boxes have to be fairly thin yet sturdy. Like the containers you get from purchasing a set of disks or a computer game at the local store, similar to that...
The packages will be a series of monsters, not limiting to previously mentioned above.
Who would be interested in buying one?

Upcoming art bundle
Posted 12 years ago I am in the making of an art bundle themed on a tale I spun up. A human explorer, meets froggy monster. No not Kermit. You'll see.
It is a mini comic of a few pages, and eventually I may spin it off unto a series. I want to feel for it first. So what's all included? Mini comic, several pinups, and maybe a speed drawing video.
I am planning for the bundle to be free to download, and I can accept donations for those willing to support the work.

PLANNING TO START AN ART BOOK
Posted 12 years agoI love doing projects, whether commissions or personal work, creating and crafting items... I always wanted to start my own art book series, and now is a good time to start into it. I mean really investing time and research. So far I have two sorts of books in mind. One, a compilation of sketches and conceptual art, the other a demo and tutorial art book for those learning.
You see, I want to self publish this. Don't want to have any publishers having copyrights on my own books. So I am researching on what materials and tools is neccessary, to print high quality books.
A color laser printer would be cool. But would inkjet printing be just as decent? If I go the laser printer route then I hope to fund for a good sized one for all kinds of paper format sizes.
Materials and tools to bind the paper and cover together.
And of course, funds to pay for the time it takes me to work on all of the art and writing if any.
When I get more information under my belt, I will definetly be starting this as a funding project on Indiegogo.
Those that will contribute to the funds of the project will recieve special offers and perks depending on the amount contributed.
What sort of perks? I wouldn't mind hearing your opinions and ideas for any creative perks.
My idea is, of course, all contributers will recieve a special signed copy of the book.
Maybe even a surprise custom sketch?
Money contributed under a certain amount will get a pocket version of the book while other perks will get you a much larger format.
Support me and help me get this project off the ground!
