Hi, about two weeks ago I lost my beloved German Shepherd Emmet. She was nine years old. It was sudden and while she was an older dog, I was not prepared to lose her so soon. Without her I feel lost. My mental health has not been great, especially as I ended up losing my cat two weeks after her. So I lost both my companions in one fell swoop.

I plan to get a new German shepherd puppy. For this goal I will be offering a small list of cheaper than normal commissions and they will stay at this price until I reach the goal.

My goal is 3000$. But I’m aiming for at least 2000$ by January. That is the cost of the puppy. I know it’s unrealistic but I’m genuinely hoping to make it. Early 2025 is when the breeder I am going with is going to have puppies, with the puppies ready for their homes in March/April.

Took my cat Cayde in to the vet’s only to learn that what we originally thought was asthma was actually masses in his mouth and throat. The vet’s believe he had FIV.

There was nothing we could do for him and only after a year of having him and only two weeks after losing my dog Emmet, I had to put Cayde down as well. Now I have lost both my pets.

I love you Cayde and I thank you for the year of constant lap cuddles. May you join Emmet in being pain free and happy.

Hello, just posting a an update on art and something personal that’s happened to me recently.

For the personal thing.
A week and a half ago my beloved German shepherd Emmet passed. She was nine and very close to reaching her 10th birthday. I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about her occasionally. Most of my commission work went to her as she had not the greatest health. This time we went in thinking she just had a UTI. Instead she had a tumor in her spleen and was bleeding internally. I made the decision to put her down instead of watching her get worse as we didn’t have the 8-9000 for the surgery.

I will miss her dearly. My days aren’t the same without her. My routine is all messed up. I wake up with the need to take Emmet out for a potty only to realize she’s not there. My paranoid thoughts and the shadows are harder to handle without her constant presence.

That’s brings me to my art. I know I’m horribley behind. And so I’ve set a goal for myself that’s lit a bit of fire under me. My goal is to get another dog. I aim to get at least 3000$ in the next few months and that means finishing all of my work pronto. So far I’ve got 4 pieces going. For those waiting on art from me, in the next few weeks, please look forward to sketches in your inbox that need your approval.

I just really hope I can keep at it.

With all that said. I do plan to post maybe a Halloween themed ych and maybe some small headshots or something soon. Nothing crazy. All the funds from my commissions and ych will go towards getting a new dog.

Still slowly hammering away at my queue. I have not taken a commission or ych for at least a year and I still don't plan to take any more. I am struggling with chronic fatigue but I am still determined to get all owed art done. I am still undecided if I will offer commissions and YCH in the future when i am finished with with my current queue. I feel I a have severely lost my way and my passion for art and I want to focus getting that back.

Hi everyone. I just wanted to give an update on owed art.

Currently my art queue has 11 pieces and I am dreadfully behind.

With that said, my plan is to close commissions and ych for the rest of the year or until I have all or most of my queue finished. I will only open them if absolutely needed but hopefully that won’t happen. With my new job and a credit score now established and building, I hope to be able to get a credit card soon to cover me in emergencies so I won’t have to open commissions.

Two of the pieces are almost done and my goal is to have them finished this month.

After my queue is finished up. I may either go on a commission hiatus or make only limited slots. I really want to focus on my own art. I have lost so much of my love and enthusiasm for art and I wanted get back in the groove and make personal art again. I think I have only made a couple personal drawings in the last 2-3 years. There is also a fanfiction I wrote that I wish to continue and finished.

I want to apologize how long I have been taking with art. I have still been working on everything, it’s just been terribly slow.

But I do have a steady job now which really helps. So until my queue is mostly clear, I’ll likely post little to no open Ychs. The Ychs in my gallery are still available and I will still take the occasional commission should someone ask for one, but that’s it.

My goal is to get most, if not all of my current queue finished within the next few months. I’m aiming for April at the latest.

Sorry for the lack of uploads and wips to customers. I didn’t have the money to pay for my clip studio renewal so I didn’t have the program for a good chunk of the month. I just renewed it though and will start working on my art again. Gonna try and get some sketch wips out here soon.

My iPad and Apple Pencil seemed to have suffered no damage from the fall and dunk into the puddle. The pencil especially was surprising to me as it had been exposed for an hour in the storm before we were able to get back home. What a trooper. Still, despite my surprise, I’m gonna hold off completely celebrating as there could be damage I don’t know about and while they turn on and work fine now, that could change. Hopefully, the tech gods were looking out for my shit that day. Literally imbued my case and the pencil with holy power I swear.

EDIT: Nvm, the iPad may have some charging issues. It still charges but something seems loose if that makes sense. Like, moving the charger will stop the charge, so I have to lay it still and not move anything.

So yesterday a big storm hit us in Michigan. As we were leaving to take precautionary shelter at Lowe’s, the tornado sirens went off and in my panic trying to sprint myself and my dog to the car I dropped my ipad and Apple Pencil into a puddle. While I was able to quickly grab my iPad, my pencil had fallen out of the case further away from me. At that point the safety of myself and dog were more important so I left it behind. While I was able to retrieve it, the extended exposure to water likely killed it, though I won’t know for a few days once I turn my iPad back on to check.

As for my iPad, it didn’t get any surface damage thanks to the case and screen protector but it did fall in a puddle. I was very quick to retrieve it and it did seem like it was working fine, but I turned it off just to be safe and I’m leaving it be for about 48hrs. I’ll check for water damage after that. If I’m lucky, it’s still good and I only need to worry about potentially replacing the Apple Pencil, if not, well I hope my insurance on it covers it and it won’t cost too much to replace it.

So commissioners please have patience with me as I fix this up. Thank you for your understanding.

Hi, I’m just making this journal in hopes I can receive some help with my dog. Normally I’d offer commissions and ych I have so much to do right now I don’t want to make people wait to long.

My situation is that my dog has been having a problem with her ear. We got it treated once and had thought it went away but now it’s back full force. Overnight her ear filled with pus after my dog used the carpet to scratch her ear while we were gone for errands. We had wrapped her paws to kept her form scratching. I don’t know if this sudden increase in ear infections is due to our change in climate, we moved from California to Michigan and I know I’ve been feeling the effects of the change. All I know it my dog needs to see a vet and since my boyfriend has to work and can’t take any days off it means we have to see and emergency vet which is far more expensive.

Anyways, her ear is so filled with pus that when she shook her head globs of pus flew out. I have some pictures here to show her ear the best I could. She really doesn’t want it touched. I can get more if needed but I don’t want to bother her ear too much

Hey there, just wanted to give an update to my commissioners.

I been really slow the last several weeks. It was a sucky month and I’m still trying to gather myself together.

I’ve started a new adhd medication, I haven’t been on a adhd medication since I was a kid, and while it helps, it also has its drawbacks and I’m going though that new med/adjustment period and.....wow, it’s been a ride.

So I really do apologize for my slowness and thank everyone for their patience.

So I’ve been thinking about this and I might starting giving myself more frequent long breaks to focus on personal art and practice.

Currently I only take weekends off, with occasional breaks during the week if my fatigue it too great. I want to take longer breaks, like a few weeks to a month every once in a while to focus on personal and practice art. Especially practice. I need to start investing time in online skill classes and improving my range, but I do not feel like I can do that currently. I wanna offer better quality work for everyone and this includes works with BGs. Plus, I wanna get myself to a point that I can make enough on 2-3 pieces and get by each month alright on just that.

Of course I will always communicate when I am taking a break through journals and this break does not necessarily mean I will halt commissions altogether. I will still work on whatever I have on my queue but it will be at my discretion. It may be I only get one piece done during my break. But I will still do work.

I will still have to post ych and take in work during these breaks, as with out it I am unable to get by. So I hope you will understand.

My breaks will only ever be a few weeks to a month max and I will only ever take them every few months.

I am thinking I will take my first break once I have cleared the majority of my current queue. So maybe March/April.

I hope this is agreeable to everyone, as I feel I really need this to improve not only my art but my mental health.
