We have a lot of different artists in our shop: some are more successful, some less so. But everyone consistently gets at least some sales. This has been established since 2017. But recently, something strange happened with one of the new artists - Carrotcasserole. She asked me to look into things and conduct a survey.
She hasn't gotten a single bid for two months since her joining. The first was made on November 10th, by which time 35 units of goods had been created - adopts and slots for ychs. 35! That's a lot. Moreover, the prices weren't inflated and were quite in line with the shop's regular prices. The first purchase was only $100. Then 10 more items were made. The second purchase was yesterday, $60. Earning $160 in 3 months of work on 45 items seems absurd and strange, especially on the account of almost 6k watchers. Continuing to work for nothing is pointless and can lead to severe depression. So we decided to change something, and the most logical solution is to ask you. I want to ask what exactly is turning you off this particular artist. Yes, money issues will always be a valid argument, but over the past three months, a lot of adopts and ychs around her adopts and ychs have been bought, avoiding hers. There were huge bids: $800, $1000, $1300. So, we can't reduce everything to the "economy problems" argument; otherwise, ALL the artists would have no bids.
So, you can write in the comments what you don't like about the artist and what puts you off buying.
But I know there are people who are embarrassed to criticize others, especially in public. They feel like villains and are afraid of being hated for that. That's why I created a Google form where you can anonymously express your honest and detailed opinion. We want to understand the situation so the artist can work on her mistakes and make her product more appealing, so we would be grateful for any feedback. Thank you for your time!

P.S. Guys, there are COLLABORATIONS in her folder. This could explain the difference in style, because other artists are involved. Moreover, using collaborations as examples isn't really correct, because some people praised/criticized the artist for things she didn't even draw in those collaborations.

So, I have a big update for those who've been following the situation with Loxori.

The notaries didn't have time to prepare the documents for her. She had to do a visa run. (visa run is a short trip a traveler takes out of a country and then immediately back into it to get a new visa stamp or reset their legal period of stay)
And it was a terrible experience. Loxori was not allowed back into Kazakhstan for several hours. As I expected, they looked at her like she was a strange creature, giggling about her being Ukrainian (ugh). They came up with a million excuses not to let her in, and only a crowd of lawyers were able to explain that they were wrong. It's very sad that people working at the border don't know the laws of their country. (The main problem was that they decided if the visa was canceled, then Lox had supposedly been there illegally the whole time, which even sounds ridiculous. The visa stopped working the moment she was fired, not that it had been inactive the whole time.) Two hours of pleading, screaming, and explaining... Finally... She was allowed in for three months. Now we'll be working on the marriage documents. The specific $3,000 fee is irrelevant at this point; we'll only raise this issue again if the marriage application is not accepted, and also if she can't find a job within two months. But even so, legal fees still require a lot of money. So while we don't have a specific $3,000 goal, any purchase is very important and welcome.
(Besides, I might have to open a fundraising campaign for an even larger amount. I just recently read that you need $10,000 in your account to apply for permanent residency. But I think it'll be most likely impossible to save that; it's easier to buy it for $3000. That's a ridiculous amount, considering most Kazakhstan citizens earn less than $500 a month lol. But we'll talk to lawyers; maybe this can be avoided with some clever legal tricks.)
The damn rent should be paid on the 5th too after all.
Speaking of which, ScarDraw has failed to get enough due to no purchases, and we (Loxori and me) currently don't have the funds to borrow. So, any help with saving up for her is even more welcome. So we have a super emergency, the most critical that could ever happen. I'll repeat for those who don't know. I, the manager, Nibiru, live with two artists, Loxori and ScarDraw, in the same house. The rent is high and usually creates a lot of problems, but this time everything seemed fine. ScarDraw was supposed to be paid $500 for adopt on the 7th, Loxori was supposed to be paid at work until the 10th (not painting). And the landlord didn't mind a small delay. But today she found out about the second dog (we adopted a puppy that our dog brought home. No one wanted to take her, so we had to keep her, we couldn't throw the puppy out on the street. But the landlord was against the second dog, so we had to hide her), which we hid from her for a year, and she was furious. + she was not satisfied with the quality of cleaning in the yard. My idea was to create a place where adopts would be categorized so you could easily find what you want to get.
That place turned out to be Flickr, the only one that met my requirements. It is a pretty popular site for photographers, but I found no problem using it. The site is completely safe, although a little laggy, some images/albums may not load, try refreshing the page if you encounter problems.
You do not need to register to view images! You can immediately select what you want and go back to furaffinity to the adopt page where you can buy it. The links are in the description of images and just in case I made a guide so you can easily find them!

In addition to advertising, with this project I wanted to draw attention to old adopts that can get more visibility now. People rarely buy adopts that are older than a few months old. And those that have been lying around for several years have almost no chance.
Tbh this is quite strange to me, because adopts are not food that has an expiration date and can be considered rotten. Or not a too old animal that you are afraid to take from a shelter because you do not want to part with it too soon, knowing that it will soon die. The effort, time and love invested in characters are as valid and valuable as on the first day of their creation, art is valuable even after several hundred years. I hope that old, as well as new characters will finally be able to find a home and loving owners.

So now you can go ahead and try this new convenient system! I understand that using Flickr is something new and unusual, but hey just give it a chance!

Recently I had an idea to split adopts into categories. I noticed that many buyers prefer certain themes and often buy something similar every time. For example, fantasy, pokemon, anthro birds, etc. It would be great if there was a place that contains a lot of folders/groups which you could click and find only adopts you want to get without having to look through hundreds of others. The easiest way, of course, is to simply distribute adopts into FA folders, but... There are no more folders because they are intended for the shop's artists. So I need a third-party service and I want to ask for your help in finding it.
It should look like this: the user opens the site and sees a list of different folders/groups that they can click on and see the pictures inside, like in Google Drive. Why can't I use Google Drive? Because one adopt can have many different categories and it will be hell to upload the same picture to several folders. (there are 558 images in the "Adopts" folder. And I'm not even mentioning the packs where I'll have to cut out each adopt separately. That would take years!) It would be easier if there was an option to set several directories for one image and it would automatically appear in different folders without having to manually upload it several times. Conditions: free or not very expensive, the site should not force users to register so that they can see the adopts, english language, no need to reduce files like Toyhouse, a possibility to write text to each adopt, so I can leave a link to each picture (where to buy) also it mustn't delete NSFW content. Do you have any ideas?

A rather unpleasant situation happened with our artist Loxori. She needed to get documents for a visa, but the accountant did everything sooooo slowly, so because of her Loxori missed the deadline and got a fine. I don’t know what’s wrong with the accountant, she made a ton of mistakes during her work and this is not her first screw-up, but she was never fired. And of course, this amount was not collected from her. Loxori wanted to sell a new cool collab collection (made via ScarDraw) of Egyptian gods, but then this whole disaster with FA began... Since we cannot upload pictures, I am afraid that selling through journals will not be fruitful and will not bring good bids. Therefore, I just make a reminder on adopts, ychs and the price list.
