This has happened one too many times with commissions that I've done--it's both insulting to me, and incredibly unfair to those who have already spent money for a custom piece.

Hey, sorry for the radio silence these last few months; seems like I picked a bad year to try and recover from burnout.

Now that I've been unceremoniously booted from my ""essential"" job that siphoned out what little creative motivation I had, I'm slowly trying to get back into drawing/posting regularly again.
New commission slots are still closed, most likely indefinitely.
I'm working through what's left of my current queue, then after that, I want to shift my focus on making personal content, mainly comics.

Hey, everyone; I know I don't use this account for much other than lurking and (occasionally) commenting, but I wanted to at least touch base here to let folks know what was happening because I wanted to try and get the word out.

I recently started up a GoFundMe to help recoup from my cat Switch's recent veterinary bills. We had to admit her to the local animal hospital a couple of weeks ago, where she was diagnosed with near kidney failure. The combined cost of the hospital stay, tests, treatments, and specialty foods have totaled close to $2000. (Which is a pretty heavy blow to the wallet when you work part time, like I do.)

This weekend was very hectic, to say the least. I was hilariously underprepared for the dealer's den, didn't make as much money as I wanted to, but I'm not all that broken up about it. Oddly enough, I actually made more money being away from my table than I did being AT it. Not sure if it's because I look perpetually angry and unapproachable, or what, but I promise I'm working on it, haha

It was wonderful seeing all of my friends again, including tabling next to the awesome  tooiebird (who is better at selling my own stuff than I am :P).

This is the first furry con I've attended since AC of 2012, which was such a horrible experience for me that I've all but completely blocked it from my memory. I really just want to go to relax and have a good time and see my friends that I haven't seen in 2+ years and not have to stress about anything. I like MFF a lot, and I can't wait to go and see everybody and be a part of all that again <3

I know that I don't really frequent FA anymore, and, especially for those who do not follow me on any other sites, many people here are probably not already aware of this. It's nothing bad; it's just something that I wanted to clear up and make known.

I recently (specifically, as of last weekend) came out as non-binary on Twitter, after keeping it mostly under wraps for the better part of two years. If you're not sure of what I'm talking about, it means that I do not identify with or otherwise adhere to the male-female gender binary; my gender falls somewhere outside of that. I've always had a somewhat nebulous relationship with my gender for about as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until somewhat recently that I discovered there was actually a word for it. I won't go into the specifics of my life story or anything, but the long and short of it is that I devoted a lot of time and energy into trying to reconcile with my assigned gender which led to me feeling really fucked up and angry a lot.

Thankfully, sussing things out with people via IM chats and my alt twitter, and doing a ton of research over the last two years has really helped assuage a lot of those feelings, and now I'm at a point where I can feel comfortable talking about it publicly. So consider this an official statement.

As for pronouns, my preference is for neutral pronouns they/them/their. I won't harangue you if you accidentally refer to me with female pronouns (and not just. default to them); I don't expect everyone I know to adjust to this overnight. (However, if you were already aware, I may just gently remind you, haha) I'm less of a stickler about pronouns as I am about gendered signifiers like "boy/girl", "man/woman" and such things, so please refrain from referring to me that way, unless your intention is to make me extremely uncomfortable and not want to hang around you.
