American Tokusatsu!

American Tokusatsu original production previews...
AdventDestiny: The premier series, the one that began it all, also the centralized storyline within my general "American Tokusatsu" universe. A tale of modern gods and how the world and it's populous react to the emergence of superhumanly powerful beings beyond the scope of our limited knowledge and understanding. The story follows the adventures of two unlikely allies; a resurrected saint, forced to adapt to a world very different from the one she was born into, and a noble demon, forced to put aside his pride and distrust of others. Together they fight to protect the world and those they care about from the rising threat of an otherworldly menace, bent on the completely eradication of everything in the universe!
This series is heavily inspired by the popular Tokusatsu franchise Kamen Rider.
Demon Binder Solomon: A supernatural detective, who wields the ancient seal of King Solomon, investigates crimes committed by mystical creatures called Daemons, aided by several loyal Daemons bound to the ring he possesses. As crimes begin to escalate, he must begin digging into his hidden past to discover the mastermind behind a supernatural criminal organization with plans to usurp humanity as the rulers of this world.
This series is inspired by the Tokusatsu franchise GARO, as well as the two Kamen Rider series Den-O and W.
Synthetic Warrior Kimaera: A group of strangers are abducted by an insidious corporation, experimented upon and transformed into living weapons. The survivors escape, some seeking to bring their captors to justice, others simply trying to return to normal lives, all the while pursued by the other twisted monstrosities sent by the corporation to recover their prize specimens.
This series is inspired by the Bio-Booster Armor Guyver franchise [both the original manga/anime and the two American movies.]
HyperKnight, Defender of Humanity X Jira, Queen of the Beasts [AKA HyperKnight X Jira]: This story focuses on the lives of a small community that resides near a top-secret government facility, the purpose of which is to contain numerous monsters and other entities of an anomalous nature. A mysterious meteor shower awakens a mysterious giant monster from beneath the earth, it's emergence inadvertently freeing many of the monstrous prisoners of the facility, who run amok through the town. A young man proves to be the only hope for the inhabitants, having discovered a piece of alien technology from the meteors that allows him to transform into the armored hero HyperKnight, aided and abetted by the beautiful but destructive being known as Jira, Queen of the Beasts!
This series is inspired by both the Ultraman and Godzilla franchises, and is also heavily inspired by American "B-Movie" monster lore.
Hunter-Killer Team Alpha [AKA HK-Alpha]: In the wake of several vicious attacks committed by the cybernetic minions of a international terrorist organization [not to mention the other threats mentioned in the previous storylines ;)], the world governments establishes a team of cybernetically enhanced commandos, equipped with the latest in military technology, and track down and eliminate the terrorists and their creations.
This series is inspired by the Tokusatsu franchise Metal Heroes [known in the west as both VR Troopers and Big Bad BeetleBorgs]
Vanguard Cross Chronicles: For over the decade, the Solar System had secretly been protected by a fleet of advanced space vessels, created from reverse engineered alien technology by Earth. One of the oldest and most distinguished of these ships is the Vanguard Cross, a support carrier transporting a team of advanced robotic war machines known as StrikeMechs. But recently, a new alien menace has emerged in our corner of the galaxy, destroying a number of the space vessels, the few not able to return to Earth forced to play a game of cat and mouse with the alien armada, scavenging whatever resources and equipment they can from long abandoned facilities in the solar system. Their greatest hope lies in the recently discovered "Biomech", now a part of the Vanguard Cross's compliment of vehicles, which contains a hidden power that could allow the crew to not just return to Earth, but also stop the alien armada before it can lay waste to their home.
This series is inspired by the Tokusatsu franchise Super Sentai [known here as Power Rangers], as well as by the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam and Macross [AKA RoboTech].
...............................................................................................................................................................
Daughters of Pandora: A side production project, more of an "adult" story about a group of friends who become trapped on an island inhabited by monstrous, humanoid women, and must learn to understand and accept their new circumstances in order to survive...
The reason this storyline is considered separate from my other American Tokusatsu projects is because the nature of the subject material is well... a bit more "graphic", if you catch my drift. Long story short, when I decided that I was going to try and get into independent film making, and when trying to think of ways to get into the business quickly [and with the money needed to fund my ideas], I thought of going into adult film making, since I heard it provides both experience and money for independent film... I felt I could only accept doing this if I came up with some sort of storyline idea that had a moralistic message buried in it, so that ironically I came up with a story that has a stronger message and theme than anything else I'd spent years developing!!! LOL!
Anyway, I've been going back and forth on the idea, of whether or not I'd rather try and create this thing to its "full potential", or edit it down for a more mainstream release, like with the other American Tokusatsu [although considering the subject material I can't imagine this thing getting anything less than an R-rating, or whatever equivalent exists for an independent film of it's nature.] Personally, I think it ultimately will depend on how much control I have over the project, if it were to make it into actual production, and whether or not I could maintain creative control of my unique characters... I've got some pretty cool ideas for some genuinely unique female monsters, who would be a perfect blending of sexual appeal and monstrous terror! And I would love to be able to bring some of the most creative and original creations into the mainstream American Tokusatsu storylines [minus any inappropriate content!], so for this I honestly have no idea what'll it end up being, though I ultimately think that the moralistic message I've created for this rather exploitive-appearing project is worth trying to tell, regardless of what format is ultimately used to bring this idea to life!

American Tokusatsu Fan-Fiction Projects previews:
Daikaiju Academy: ReEmergence: As some of you may already know, I'm a member of the deviantArt group Daikaiju Academy, a fan-fic setting where all of the classic giant monsters are reimagined as anthromorphic high-school girls, properly known as Kaiju Girls [not sure how people around here feel about them, I know that several other kaiju communities aren't very fond of them]. The group is pretty much all that's left of what was once a very popular spin-off of the Twisted Kaiju Theater webcomic, which ultimately was shut down do to creative disputes. Since that time, the fan-fic franchise has never been the same, and honestly I think it's on its last legs, interest wise...
I've tried to create a couple of fan-fic stories and expansions set in the story, hoping to spark back popularity, but ultimately first projects proved too hard for me to do by myself. Finally, I've decided that there's only one option left to keep the thing alive... which is to start anew! So I decided to begin a whole reboot for the Daikaiju Academy story, in the same vein as the Gareth Edwards Godzilla movie, the J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies, and the Marvel's Avengers film series; I love the way that all these reimaginings created something that both tributes the original source, keeps true to the original spirit of the material, but updated it for modern audiences.
So that's what I want to do for Daikaiju Academy, essentially give it a new, cinematic revamp, and though I can't really create something on the same scale as my various original American Tokusatsu productions, I can certainly try and make something that'll hopefully revive Daikaiju Academy's popularity again [and I haven't put aside thoughts of trying to do something like a Daikaiju Academy fan-film... if I'm going to try and make something like Daughters of Pandora, then there's no reason to not try and do the same thing for Daikaiju Academy... of course it'd have to be a non-profit production!].
Godzilla X Gamera X Ultraman X Evangelion X Pacific Rim: Ultimate Cross-Universe Battle!!! [AKA G.G.U.E.P.]: Probably what I consider to be the most ambitious kaiju fan-fiction idea, this is a story so grand, so out there, that I honestly have no idea where to begin! It would be from a visual stand point inspired by the Legendary Pictures techniques used in Pacific Rim and Godzilla 2014, with the other three franchises updated to match this. It'd probably have to involved alternant storylines, since I can't figure out a way that the storylines would be able to properly "cross-over" with each other if I sticked to the canonical storylines.
This is probably any kaiju/giant robot fan's dream project, so epic that it'd probably need a film production level of collaboration in order to pull it off properly! Certainly something I plan to do in the future... and of course you can bet that I'll want to try and make a fan-film using this idea too [if I do a Daikaiju Academy fan-film than this will be a must do, simply because it wouldn't be fair to the fans if the only fan-fiction I bring to life on film is a sex comedy about anthro Kaiju Girls!]
That's all for now folks, the six original American Tokusatsu projects [seven if we're counting Daughters of Pandora] will be the only official projects I'll be doing, though I'm leaving room for other possible fan-fic productions I may come up with in the future. Very excited to have a clear set of objectives for the foreseeable future! Wish me luck, and feel free to voice your opinions on the direction I'm going!

DkA: ReEmergence...
General | Posted 11 years agoDkA: ReEmergence...
It's been a couple of days since I went to Godzilla 2014 [short review, great movie... not perfect, but most definitely a perfect starting point for the King's grand return!] and I've got the kaiju creative bug, which has already inspired a series of reimagining's of other Toho kaiju.
Which led to this next idea, probably an project even more ambitious than Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy; what if someone [obviously me] tried to create a new alternate Daikaiju Academy storyline, one based on the new Godzilla universe created in the Legendary movie. Legendary's Godzilla is a very realistic and natural looking creature, maintaining the majesty and raw ferocity of the classic Godzilla, and not just the campy goof from the Showa Era, I mean THE original Godzilla from 1954. I was thinking, considering how so far well received Godzilla's redesign was accepted, maybe a new reimagining of GINA could work for an alternate storyline?
I already voiced my interests in making the kaiju girls more realistic in design, though I realized at the time I didn't have the skills necessary to pull it off successfully. But recently I've been practicing drawing reptilian scale patterns, and with my purchase of the Godzilla: Art of Destruction book, I now feel that I could do a pretty good job of combining the elements of the new Godzilla and blending those details into GINA's design. Now I remember the little firestorm that resulted from the hasty production of Project Dragon Knight, but unlike that idea, which involved a different character that happened to share GINA's name and appearance, this is would still be GINA, just another version of her born in an alternate reality, just as the new Godzilla movie as a totally unique storyline independent of any other Godzilla film.
I figure that obviously I should just start with GINA, since she is obviously the "alpha kaiju girl", and since Godzilla's been the only pre-existing kaiju that's been reimagined, I'll focus on the new GINA, who shares her name and general profile with the classic GINA, set in a more gritty realistic world setting. I started a sketch of what was originally an original Legendary Godzilla Girl, which I'll use as a base to build the new GINA. If this project proves successful and popular [or at least as long as a bunch of people around here don't go ape-shit about doing something like this!] than I'll try doing the same for other kaiju girls, though I'll of course be asking any and all of the creators who's characters I'm planning on reimagining.
Currently, I'll just call this project DkA: ReEmergence [to distinguish it from my previous work Daikaiju Academy: REVIVAL], and I'll just prioritize on creating the new GINA, worry about building the story or other Legendary inspired kaiju girls! So, anybody still around who'd like to comment on this idea?

Current Plans, v2...
General | Posted 12 years agoWell, it's been over a week since my last update; been thinking about a lot, and chances are that I won't be updating my profile on a weekly basis, just not active enough right now to make it worthwhile!
It's a hard decision, one that God only knows could chance very quickly, but I've been considering focusing on writing over drawing... I'm just not happy about my artistic skills. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to develop a style, a consistent way of drawing characters without taking forever. I know that you're supposed to improve your skills by constantly practicing, but I've got A LOT of other things I'm trying to do, mainly in writing stories, like my first chapter of my OC series AdventDestiny, which I HAVE to get done by the end of the year!
Right now, I got a friend's OC pic request to finish, but after that, I'm planning to stop drawing for a while, and focus on writing, developing the characters, settings, and species that will appear in the 6 different series I have planned. I'm also considering taking art classes, and searching for online drawing tutorials... normally I'm a 'trial and error' kind of learner, but that doesn't seem to be working for me anymore, so I have to get some help.
That all said, I may still do the occasional sketch every now and then, to keep myself from getting rusty, or when I get a rare creative moment that usually results in a good design! But other than that, expect more notes, theories and concepts for the diverse number of characters and worlds I plan on creating!

AdventDestiny's Project Premises!
General | Posted 12 years agoThis post will be a catalog of the major stories and series I plan on writing in the next year; at the moment, I'm experimenting on concepts and designs, and will update this as new elements are developed...
Project Sodai-na Uchu Boken:
My central storyline, a collection of three series, all set in the same universe, which is a general tribute the collective Japanese special effects genre known as Tokusatsu, which encompasses shows and movies such as Godzilla, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Super Sentai/Power Rangers. Each series follows a different cast of lead characters, but characters can [and likely will] crossover frequently! This is a completely original series, with my own original characters, so I plan on marketing this as far and wide as I can!
AdventDestiny: The first series, which acts as a sort of starting point for the Sodai-na Uchu Boken franchise in general. This series follows the adventures of two unlikely heroes; Destiny, the resurrected Joan of Arc, an elegant and intelligent fighter, pure of heart, but haunted by a dark past. And Advent, a renegade demon looking for a new start in life, aggressive and unforgiving, but strangely noble, considering his demonic origins.
Both are polar opposites of each other, in both physiology and temperament, and yet they are strangely connected by a power that neither fully understands. Together, they hold the key to an ancient power, a force neither good, nor evil. Together, they will unite the darkness and light, and unleash the might... of AdventDestiny!
AdventDestiny is a series I've been working on for a long time [since before I became genuinely active online a year ago], and I consider this the most important of the projects I'm working on, so naturally, I try and take my time in writing and developing the concept, making sure to get it done right. So far, I've released two preliminary short stories, both of which focus on Joan of Arc, identified as Jeanne d'Arc. Now I'm moving into the next phase of the series, which involves introducing Jeanne's co-star, James Seraphin, AKA Advent! The design and premise of this story is a tribute to all Tokusatsu series in general, as well as many sci-fi and monster movies that I frequently watch. My biggest goal for this project is to try and raise awareness of the Tokusatsu genre, which is either completely unknown to viewers in the US, or is generally scoffed at for being ridiculous and over the top [as though any superhero comic isn't any more outlandish, it just happens to be something we understand because we grew up with it!]
Terra Guardians: This is actually a provisional title for the second Sodai-na Uchu Boken series, which is a more direct tribute to the Super Sentai franchise, known in the US as Power Rangers. Obviously, most people view it as nothing more than a children's show [which is exactly what it is, both here and in Japan], but my series would be a more mature, real world interpretation of the concept. The story follows the conflicts of an elite military combat team, equipped with the best in nano-armor technology and weaponry, as they battle the cybornetic minions of an intergalactic conquer. These soldiers are further enhanced by ancient, metaphysical power, which allows them to call upon massive, biomechanical beasts, which can combine into a mighty robotic titan, called... I have no idea what I'm going to call it, although I can say that the beasts will be heavily influenced by Chinese mythology!
JIRA: Queen of the Beasts!: The third series is a more direct tribute to the oldest, most well known example of the Tokusatsu genre... Godzilla! This series is also a tribute to western monster movies in general, as well to the many clichés and concepts in B-grade movies old and new!
The story of JIRA centers on a specialized government organization, tasked with the duty of capturing and containing monsters and other inhuman beasts that run amok. Within this facility of nightmares, there is one resident who is feared more than any other... a young girl, half human/half beast, known as Jira Megami, who was created from the DNA of perhaps the most powerful and savage beast ever to walk the Earth... Majiryu, the Emperor of Beasts! As newer, stronger, and more intelligent beasts begin to appear all over the world, seemingly aided by a rogue genetics corporation, the facility tasked with containing these monsters is left with little choice but to unleash their most dangerous captive, Jira, and pray that they can direct her animalistic rage towards their enemy! They are aided by an unlikely ally; an alien, an experiment that escaped from the invaders. This super-being, codenamed Synthetic Cyborg Bio-Chimera, develops a bond with Jira, and through this bond, may help Jira to connect with the human part of her long believed dormant...
So, this represents by OC series', now onto my fan fiction projects!
Pacific Rim: Broken Soul: Pacific Rim is currently my favorite movie of all time, being what I consider the ultimate tribute to the Tokusatsu kaiju film genre, and proof that a concept that's viewed by many people in the US as stupid and comical, can be made to be awesome as Hell! So of course, I couldn't pass up the chance to create a new story set in this fabulous storyline!
Pacific Rim: Broken Soul will be a fan-sequel, set during a theoretical second Kaiju War. It has a new cast of characters, Jaegers, and Kaiju, and will heavily explore the concept of loss, and the long path to recovery, through the eyes of both a survivor of a tragic event, and the men who saved her! This would be as much a test of my ability to incorporate themes into my stories, as it is a tribute to an awesome movie!
Daikaiju Academy: REVIVAL!: Daikaiju Academy, for those who don't know, is a fan-made storyline that is a sort of anime style comedy, with the giant monsters of Japanese film [such as Godzilla, Gamera, King Ghidora, etc...] re-imagined as anthropomorphic teenage schoolgirls... yeah, the concept is about as crazy as it sounds, but it strangely works, and does have a complex and diverse cast of characters, all of whom were created by ordinary, amateur artists and writers [some of whom have actually become quite successful, I might add!] like you or me!
Unfortunately, it has a bad reputation of the internet for being simply being a collection of NSFW, Rule 34 pics, which isn't true; these kind of works are the imaginings of adult fans that got carried away. Daikaiju Academy: REVIVAL is a new series set in the DkA universe, and I plan to portray the Kaiju Girls of the franchise in a much more positive light; I want to make it more of an action series, a good balance between action, good plot, interesting, intelligent characters, and tasteful comedy, with the sexuality significantly downplayed. I had already written a first chapter, but I didn't like the portrayal of the characters [including my early attempt at the Synthetic Cyborg Bio-Chimera character, which I chose to test out in a fan-fic.] So, I'm redeveloping the concept, with a new OC lead, and following the guidelines I just mentioned, to hopefully create an entertaining and cool thing, from a fan series that many kaiju fans online despise!
Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy: Taking my love of Pacific Rim one step further, I went ahead and developed the plot for an epic crossover fan-fic series, between the single best Kaiju film ever [at least until the new Godzilla 2014 movie comes out next year!] and the most unusual kaiju fan-fic series ever. Set in the same universe as Daikaiju Academy: REVIVAL!, PRxDkA is also a parody tribute to western horror movies, and is also designed to poke fun at the adult film industry in general!
While JIRA: Queen of the Beasts is a tribute series that re-imagines the concepts of low budget American monster movies, Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy is a series that parodies the concepts in those movies that we know are ridiculous or over used [such as the classic "the whore always dies first!" cliché!] It's a series that's also meant to explore a genuinely rare horror movie concept [at least in the US]... the sexy, female monster, or monster girls, as they are known by the internet artistic community in general. I want to explore a new kind of monster movie concept, one were the monsters are as lethal as they are sexy, but still monsters; not sexy vampires [which have done to death, really!], not sexy werewolves [shape shifting into usually not so attractive beast forms], and not sexy zombies [it's really hard making a shambling, rotting corpse look hot, you know!] This series has been in development for quite a while, and has constantly evolved [and still is, actually], beginning as a hentai series with an actual plot, and now focusing on just a tribute to monster movies with a twist, removing the majority of sexuality in order to make it more accessible to mainstream audiences.
The plot is this; experiment on a remote island goes awry, and a horde of hermaphroditic, female kaijumorphs [called Rim Girls, since they're all based on the deigns and concept of the Kaiju from Pacific Rim!] run amok, threatening a crew of film makers and models, as well as the special forces team sent in to rescue the civilians. Things get further out of hand, and it's up to a group of the classic Kaiju Girls from Daikaiju Academy, supported by the newly constructed Jaeger Girls [still looking for a more original name!] to save the day!
... okay, so that's about it! These six series/three franchises, will represent the bulk of my work; I'm notorious for thinking up of new concepts from out of the blue, though thankfully the adaptable nature of my works make it easy to incorporate any new concepts into the existing franchises on the fly, without having to re-write the whole premise! Stay tuned, as I'll be posting sketches and design concepts as frequently as I can, as well on updates on the progress of my individual series!

JIRA: Queen of the Beasts story premise!
General | Posted 12 years agoBefore I get started, just a quick little update on Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy; I'm reconsidering my idea about using adult film stars as models for the Rim Girls... I know I wanted to make a profeminist story, but using porn stars as design reference might be taking it a bit too far! I'll have to think a little more about how I want to design the Rim Girls, and how I want to do the story itself, before making any radical changes or announcements for a little while.
Now, on to the big announcement... I've got a story premise for JIRA: Queen of the Beasts! As you all may well know, I decided to reimagine Jira Megami, my Godzilla/human girl hybrid, into an independent OC, with a new, original origin. She's set in the same universe as my AdventDestiny series, but follows a different group of characters, and has several different themes.
The idea came to me not long after I bought a copy of The Cabin in the Woods; a Josh Whedon produced tribute/parody to all the classic b-movie horror movies ever created! The reason I bought the movie is because of the massive monster mash near the end of the movie; basically, there's a facility that contains hundreds of monsters, which are all released and go on a bloody rampage. I haven't seen it yet, but I already heard about all the various critters that appear in the movie, some for only a few moments, and almost all of which were brought to life using practical effects.
While I was thinking about the concept of a massive, underground facility filled with horrifying monsters, I realized something; why not make a series that centers on the facility, and the people tasked with maintaining it! So, this is what I want it to be...
Located on an island out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, a top secret containment facility was created by the UN to hold all of the monsters and other inhuman threats to the world. The facility is divided to four sectors;
The primary sector is used to contain the organic, animalistic monsters. Anything that's biological in nature is held here, most being just wild animals, though some are intelligent in nature, but mostly dominated by primal instincts. This is where Jira is held; she was captured [barely], and locked into solitary confinement. Jira's sentient, but so aggressive and powerful, she posed a constant threat to both the staff and the other monsters. Jira's not the only monster girl in the facility, but she is the only kaijumorph, or human/daikaiju hybrid...
a daikaiju is a class of giant monster in the story's universe, way to powerful to be contained, but for the most part aren't that interested in attacking humans; they just walk through cities, heading in a straight line to where ever they're going, and smashing anything that gets in their way. Jira was created from the DNA of a daikaiju called Majiryu, the first giant monster to attack humanity directly, who is considered the Emperor of Beasts, he wiped out an entire city, killing thousands, before eventually being brought down. Jira shares her 'father's' aggression, specifically towards humans, so they keep her locked up in a specialized, thermal shielded cell, and never risk letting her out, since it'd be all but impossible to get her back in.
The second sector is used to contain and reverse engineer robotic entities, pieces of advanced technology that function on their own, and have proved dangerous to humans. Most of these things are unceremoniously dismantled, but others that are categorized as intelligent are kept in containment, much like the organic monsters. Some of the sentient mechanoids that could be trusted [or fitted with safeguards] work alongside the human staff, and even assist in the capture of future residents of the facility.
Sector three is a strange one, used to contain supernatural threats... the truth is, though it's associated to the facility, it's not actually a part of it; it's more like a tomb or temple, and uses mystical ruins and elements to contain the otherworldly beings within. The people that operate this sector are more like occultists than government workers, and most of the creatures in this sector are bad to the bone, literally!
The fourth sector is a space based branch of the facility, linked to the ground with a space elevator. It's used to contain the intelligent extraterrestrial threats, and super-powered humans/humanoids [superheroes don't really exist in this world, the closest thing to them are individuals more like the Tokusatsu heroes of Japan; Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman, Etc...] The reason the aliens are kept up their is because most of them are extraterrestrial fugitives [the animalistic aliens are kept with the other organic monsters], and there's always the chance that the authorities from those criminal's home worlds could come to extradite them, so might as well save them the trouble of atmospheric entry by putting the bad guys up in a space dock!
The reason that Jira is kept with the organic monsters, instead of being put up in space with the other metahumanoids, is because she's so powerful, the government doesn't want to risk an extraterrestrial 'ally' trying to take her; daikaiju are rare creatures, and almost all of them can only be found on Earth. The daikaiju are the reason we weren't conquered by hostile alien forces, since they're just as invulnerable to alien weaponry as they are to human artillery! So, naturally, pretty much everyone in the galaxy wants to study them, try and harness their immense power for personal gain. Jira is the first step towards developing living superweapons from daikaiju DNA, which is something that could give an enemy civilization unlimited power, which requires extra security measures to insure that Jira doesn't fall into the wrong hands!
The story would likely begin with the arrival of a new creature caretaker, one who is assigned to Jira [probably don't want to know what happened to the last guy!] Right now the idea is pretty unclear, but I do know that they somehow form a relationship, which results in Jira trying to actually fit in, perhaps even fight for humanity, and help contain other more dangerous monsters! At least now I've got a pretty good starting point for this series, now I just need to come up with a name for my Super Sentai/Power Rangers tribute series...

AdventDestiny update, and PRxDka ramblings!
General | Posted 12 years agoSo, it's been a week [and a day!] but here's my latest weekly report.
AdventDestiny: Still got to plan the actual plot of both stories; both characters are set in the same universe, but their personalities are quite different, which requires that they have stories with significantly differing tones. Jeanne d'Arc, despite having a very grim past, is a surprisingly optimistic nature, at least when not in direct conflict; James Seraphin, on the other hand, is a dark cynical type of anti-hero, who doesn't hold back when in combat, most of the time...
Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy: No significant updates to report... well, maybe; I can't help but get the feeling that most people [my watchers on deviantArt excluded, of course; I love all you guys for your patience!] either have little to no interest, or just don't take it seriously, which serves as something of a anti-motivation that makes it just that much harder to get this thing done! Right now, I may take a break, try and sketch and develop some concepts, a few of which I'll explore shortly.
I guess there are a few things to discuss here, some quick, last minute updates I decided to post now, as of this post; like I said, I decided to make PRxDkA a more mainstream storyline, by eliminating the majority of the sexual content, beyond the obvious full nudity of the Rim Girls; sex exists in the story, we just won't see it... rest assured, I do plan on finding a happy balance between awesomeness and sexiness when designing the characters, both OC and pre-existing Daikaiju Academy in nature. And I am still open to the idea of producing an unrated version, which I'd only post on sites that have some degree of underage security, make it less likely that a kid could get their hands on it.
I'm treating it as a horror/comedy action story, the pilot 'episode', I mean. Originally, I wanted to avoid any deaths in the story, but I decided to give it a more gritty, realistic tone; the Rim Girls are clones of the Kaiju from Pacific Rim, and they have their memories, so they'd obviously behave like them, to a degree [the whole humanoid bodies/thinking process would result in some differences in their behavior]. To that end, I also plan on having the Rim Girls use the names of the Kaiju they're based on, wait until after the pilot to give them more human names; it'll help sell the fact that they're the bad girls in this story.
There will be two major groups of human background or minor characters, sort of like NPCs in video games; the
civilians and the soldiers...
The civilians are represented by a film crew and the models they're taking photos of, sort of a Sports Illustrated Bikini Edition sort of thing; I wanted a group of people who are beautiful, sexually experienced and unafraid of showing skin [if all the Rim Girls are going to be naked, no reason the human characters can't be naked every once in a while too!], while not actually being porn stars. Kind of a balance between the ideas I was throwing around early on in production!
The soldiers are actually two groups; one is the privately operated security force, set up on the island to protect the scientists as they performed their experiment. They got the best gear on the planet, which still proves ineffective against the superhuman Rim Girl biology and tactics. The second group are UN military forces, mostly American and Japanese, who are sent in to rescue the film crew after they go missing. There aren't as many of them as the PMCs, but the rescue team are more skilled and experienced, and I do want to make a couple of interesting characters that I'd probably like to see in future chapters of the series.
I'm also reworking some of the concepts for the designs of the Rim Girls; my first colored pic of Trisha Trespasser [who for now I'll just call Trespasser, or maybe Trespasser-chan, chan being a Japanese term used to describe a young or cute female character... I think!] felt a little too uncoordinated, a little too impractical to duplicate the design in the future. So now I plan on using the physical structure, and perhaps some personality traits, of real-life actresses, just to help speed up the design process. The controversial part about it is that I have an idea of who I'm basing the Rim Girls human aspects... adult actresses!
I know what you're all thinking; after all the stuff I said about not wanting this to be a porno story, then I come out and say that I plan on basing the Rim Girls' appearances off of porn stars!? For shame [some of you, at least] must be saying! Well, I actually have a good reason for doing this, one that actually carries an important message. From the beginning, I wanted Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy to parody both western horror and pornographic movies, which I can still do, even with most of the sexuality removed! Basing the tough, indomitable Rim Girls off of adult film stars would reflect my opinion that women should not be treated as some piece of meat, to be demeaned or used like piece of tissue, but instead should be treated with respect; porn stars are people too, and based on the research I recently did, the kind of treatment these women receive, whether voluntary or not, is really hard on them...
Also, it's a lot easier to base a nude character off of porn stars, since their occupation involves them moving around completely naked, which is a lot easier, practical, and in my case cheaper, than going to a nude art class... or an clothing optional beach, which would be awkward, me not being in very good shape [I'm not overweight, just pretty skinny, except for this stubborn flabby section of my gut, thanks to a high carb diet I really need to change!] At the same time, the concept also voices the dangers of open sexuality and lust; one thing I do get about slasher movies is the classic "the whores always die first" cliché, which in a nut shell, teaches us that sex for the sake of sex is a very bad thing! The Rim Girls are hot as Hell, but trying to actually have sex with one would likely result in very painful death! So, while I do not vilify or condemn pornography [I'd be a hypocrite if I did], I also don't support the general premise of women being treated as sex objects; many of the girls I plan on designing the Rim Girls off of are interesting characters in their own right.
If anybody has actually read all the way to this part of the journal, then I summarize what I have on the drawing board:
Though still considered a comedy, I'm planning on making the story a little more serious, and try and make it more about the action than the sex, so to speak. The Rim Girls are going to be modeled after adult film stars, which will both reflect my belief in proper treatment of women, combined with a warning about outright, tasteless sexuality!
Thank you for reading through my ramblings this week, and hoping to hear your opinions on my latest ideas and plans!
AdventDestiny: Still got to plan the actual plot of both stories; both characters are set in the same universe, but their personalities are quite different, which requires that they have stories with significantly differing tones.
Profile Updates and Daikaiju Academy Art Jam...
General | Posted 12 years agoI'm posting this update all around the sites I'm a member on, because I've been neglecting my progress reports everywhere, except for deviantArt.
So, let's see what I'm doing right now... well, on the mainstream front, I've got a couple of introductory AdventDestiny stories planned; one will be a continuation of my Jeanne d'Arc/ Joan of Arc series, and the second will be the first appearance of my other lead character in the AdventDestiny storyline, James Seraphin! I'll have both of these stories done by the end of the year, where hopefully I'll be confident enough in my writing skills to start producing new stories and series at a more consistent rate.
Meanwhile, on Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy... I didn't progress much with the concept do to artist and writers block, though I am working on a significant piece that I plan on entering into the Daikaiju Academy Halloween Art Jam by the 31st! http://daikaiju-academy.deviantart......2013-399103986
I'll try and keep all of my updates and info on Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy up to date on my other relevant profiles from now on. I'd like to post more, but for some reason today I'm feeling really run down and tired...

Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy announcement
General | Posted 12 years agoSo... I guess I'll get down to business; I have a plan, a crazy, most likely over ambitious plan, which is way too much for me to be able to do on my own, not easily or quickly, at least!
Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy, aka PRxDkA, is a major project that I'm currently developing. It's a crossover, a spin-off, and a fan-fic, all rolled into one! Daikaiju Academy is a group on deviantArt who specialize in the creation of art, stories, and characters who are usually female pin-ups based on the kaiju genre of Japan [Godzilla, Gamera, Ultraman, etc...] Right now, Daikaiju Academy is hosting its Halloween Art Jam [copy and paste this onto your address bar] http://adventdestiny.deviantart.com/#/journal/Pacific-Rim-X-Daikaiju-Academy-announcement-400802870?_sid=64349cbc ...
Which I plan on participating in with my premier of PRxDkA, which is a new story, set in the Daikaiju Academy universe, that has a new group of Kaiju Girls based on the new creations from the summer blockbuster, Pacific Rim, which is probably the best kaiju movie ever made to date! They are known as the Rim Girls, based on the alien invaders known in the movie as the Kaiju, and the Jaeger Girls, named after the mecha heroes of the same film!
Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy is a hentai project [which means that depending on the site I'm posting this stuff on, will range from mature to XXX rated in nature], but at the same time is a story that tributes the both the movie and fan-fic it's named after, parodies American low budget horror films and the pornographic industry, and is an allegory for individuality, true love, morality, the conflict between nature and nurture, and the fact that stuff made in Japan tends to beat the crap out of their counterparts in the US! PRxDkA is being built from the ground up as a series that's story works without the sex, but still features it just to make sure it's interesting! What I want to make is something that could be read on deviantArt by people who are interested in the characters and story, while people reading it on FurAffinity could just skip through to the uncensored parts only available on those sites, and still be entertained!
I'm tired of pornos and hentai stories and films that try to develop a storyline around the sex, and almost always failing; I want an adult series that can stand toe-to-toe with a non-XXX rated production, and have people talk about it beyond the sex!!!... "sigh". Sorry about that, had to get that out of my system!
So basically, I'm looking for help, for people to collaborate with in this production; I've never done anything like this, and frankly, I need help. Sadly, I myself have little practical real world experience, which has been the biggest hindrance for me when I try and write stories; I'm got at creating outlines and scripts, and in fact I've pretty much completed a script for Pacific Rim X Daikaiju Academy, so I know the general direction I want to go. See for yourself:
Set on the faraway krakatoa of Mohira'Ravan, a film crew arrives on the island to shoot a... ehh, not sure on what exactly they're making, but I can guarantee that the crew and actors are quite experienced in the adult arts! Anyway, basically, they go to this spectacular scenic setting, despite the rumors of people disappearing on this uninhabited isle; classic horror movie premise! Not long after the crew starts filming, people begin to disappear...
Scene shifts to Neo Monster Island, a sovereign nation off the coast of Japan, which is the setting for the premier superhuman school Daikaiju Academy, home to the Kaiju Girls [most of the students are girls, and there is quite literally only one Kaiju Dude that is actually as well known as the girls!]. A vessel is found adrift on the coast of the island, and the sole survivor is retrieved. The survivor is a scientist, who was part of a top-secret experiment conducted on Mohira'Ravan Island, which has resulted in the creation of a clan of genetically engineered, nympho kaijumorphs, known as the Rim Girls!
A fact that has now become apparent to the film crew on Mohira'Ravan, who have scattered into the island's jungle after a direct attack from several of the Rim Girls. Meanwhile, on NMI, the Japanese Self Defense Forces [I guess Japan and Neo Monster Island share the same military force] are informed of the predicament on the island, which as it turns out was unnecessary; the JSDF was already aware of what was happening on Mohira'Ravan, and have been working on a new generation of anthropomorphic combat systems to counter this threat; the Hunter Program, creating a squadron of automated, robotic warriors, codenamed the Jaeger Girls!
Unfortunately, the Jaeger Girls are still in the trial phase, and are not considered ready for combat; when it is discovered that the film crew is now trapped on the island, the JSDF send a commando squad in to rescue the survivors... and are not heard from again. With the Jaeger Girls not yet operational, the JSDF is unwilling to send anyone else on another unsuccessful recovery mission, even with innocent lives in danger. With the military no longer of any use, several of the kaijumorph students of Daikaiju Academy decide to take things into their own hands, and head off the island themselves. Naturally, we all know where this is leading up to, so I'll stop here, to avoid spoiling anything about the ending! I reassure you, however, that the Jaeger Girls definitely won't be MIA for the final battle!
So, that's the story. Now, like I said before, I'm interested in a collaboration with anybody interested in this idea! In theory, I could get most of this done on my own, but it would take FOREVER trying to get a decent story put together, and I don't think I could manage such a long term project on my own; having other people help spread the creative juices would save a lot of time and resources, and allow me to get this little gem done much more quickly! It would also give this story more depth and variety, as each person has their own creative style, which would again greatly improve the quality of the story.
Seriously, if anyone is interested, just comment, and I'll see if I can find a way to create a central hub or something to allow all parties to share information and ideas. I'm putting this out here, on the World Wide Web, in the hopes that there're other creative people like me, who are interested in something like this, and looking to create something new, something interesting, for others like us!

Current Plans...
General | Posted 12 years agoFigured it was about time that I updated my journal, so here it goes!
Daikaiju Academy: REVIVAL is my current focus of work, as I feel it's the best source of creative writing, since it has a wide variety of characters to work with, plus many of their creators are still present, providing additional advice and critiques of my work. Also planning two spin-off projects; the first would be an expanded story set in the Daikaiju Academy universe, longer than any I've written before, that will in turn be an introduction to the second spin-off, which is a crossover between Daikaiju Academy and Pacific Rim!
I have not abandoned by OC project Advent Destiny, and do intend on writing a new short story be the end of this year. At the moment, my greatest focus is improving my abilities in writing and drawing... I've been apart of deviantArt and other forum and community sites for almost a year now, and I have seen a genuine improvement in my abilities, and I like to see those skills improve even more be New Years, hopefully get to the point that I can begin making money off of my original works, if I can get people interested in my creations!

Advent Destiny, Jira Megami, and Bio-Chimera
General | Posted 12 years agoThings for me seem to be getting better. so while I still have the touch... [The Transformers: The Movie, 1986... the best soundtrack I've ever heard PERIOD!!!] I am going to post the outlines for three series that I'm working on. Questions, comments, and critiques are both welcome and desired, and anyone who wants to give a helping hand will be fully credited for their contributions, no matter how big any of these projects become; well, I may be getting ahead of myself on that last part... one can always dream, can't they?
ADVENT DESTINY: I know what you're thinking, and before you say anything, I did not name this series after my username... I based my username off of this series! Advent Destiny is a series I've been designing for close to a decade, which I think is impressive, considering I'm only 20 years old! It began originally as an enormous fan-fic combining characters from my favorite movies, games, and television shows: Godzilla, Evangelion, Alien vs. Predator, Halo, Stargate; you know, stuff like that. As I refined the concept, I realized that this series had real potential, but I'd never be able to sell this idea, because of course it would probably cost me less money to buy a small country than pay for all of the copy written characters. So, I compromised... I chose to create a series which emulates this original concept. The characters may be inspired by various archetypes from across multiple genres, but they are all of my creations of mine. I have so far written two prequels, under the name Advent Destiny: Origins. Titled A Saint Walks into a Bar and A Saint's Crossing, these two stories focused on a lead character, Jeanne d'Arc aka Joan of Arc. But now I feel that it's time for the series to go in the direction I had originally intended... Advent Destiny will be an action/sci-fi series predominately inspired by the Japanese Tokusatsu genre [Kamen Rider, Bio Booster Armor Guyver, and the like]. The series follows the war of the 24 Archetypes, ancient bio-mechanical armor wielded by human [and humanoid] hosts, against their immortal enemies the Entropy, a race of energy beings Hell bent on eradicating anything and everything not of their own making in the universe. The Archetypes are more powerful than the Entropy, but they're scattered and disorganized, and often come into conflict with each other. They must learn to put aside their differences and fight together, or face universal extinction... since Advent Destiny is of my own creation, I consider it my ultimate nest egg; like I said before, anyone who helps out in any way will receive due credit, and in this case, IF I manage to make some money off of this idea, you're own ideas could make you money too!
...you probably shouldn't hold your breath, however.
JIRA: QUEEN OF THE MONSTERS! :This is a fan-fiction, which of course means I could never make money off of it, which isn't the point. JIRA: Queen of the Monsters! is a project of mine designed to expand my skills in both writing and art; plus, I'm a big fan of the sixty year old franchise it's based on...
GODZILLA!!!
The series centers around the adventures of a human/Godzilla hybrid, a young woman called Jira Megami. The series itself is primarily a Godzilla fan-fic, so expect plenty of guest star appearances from him and the many other kaiju from the Godzilla universe. The first chapter of the series has already been posted, and I will expand on it soon [hopefully]. Currently, Jira is living on her own in the wilds of Washington state, but as the story progresses, the action will move to a little known island in the Pacific. An island dubbed Kaiju Garu Shima, or Monster Girl Island... again, before you say anything yes this series will be geared towards both G-fans in general as well as men [mostly geeks] who love giant monsters, sexy girls, and anything in between. Let me state this one fact: I do not support exploitation, certainly not real life exploitation; I find that men [and the occasional woman] who do this are generally pathetic pieces of crap not worth the effort of wiping off the bottom of my shoes. I'm not as strict about fictional exploitation, especially when the girl in question comes out on top [no innuendo, I swear!] in the end. So Jira, any kaiju girls I design, and frankly any female characters I create will be more than capable of taking care of themselves, and can kick the collective butts of any man [or woman] who gets on their bad side.
DAIKAIJU ACADEMY: RISE OF BIO-CHIMERA! : While J:QotM! is an epic series, following a plot line that centers on the characters and the events of the story, DkA:RoB! is more of a fun little hobby for me; characters and story is still important, but while J:QotM! is a [somewhat] realistic fan fiction, Rise of Bio-Chimera is more of a "let loose and have fun" sort of project, in the tradition of the classic low-budget kaiju and monster movies of the past. Daikaiju Academy is a group on deviantArt that's home to the Kaiju Girls, anthropomorphic pin-up girls based off of Godzilla, King Kong, and any giant monster in general. This particular series focuses on the Bio-Chimera, a super cyborg with the power to absorb and duplicate the abilities of any kaiju, mecha, or kaiju/mecha hybrid that he comes into contact with. He falls through an inter-dimensional rift, and crashes into downtown Neo Monster Island. Bio-Chimera, who calls himself Jeff, must adjust to a life where super powered villains, huge monsters, alien invasions, and hot kaiju gals are just another part of everyday life. While JIRA: Queen of the Monsters is predominately a Godzilla fan-fic first and kaiju girl fan service second, DkA:RoB! will be the series that specializes in comedy and lemons [that's apparently web speak for sexy stuff]; basically it'll be me coming up with a scenario, picking the characters [both OCs of mine and those characters who I get permission to use], and then see what kind of chaos ensues! Also like JIRA: Queen of the Monsters!, guest star appearances will be frequent, although because of the less serious tone of this series, I can also bring in kaiju and characters outside of the Godzilla franchise.
Advent Destiny will be posted on both deviantArt, under the name AdventDestiny, and on FictionPress, with the username AdventDestiny-GAMMA. JIRA: Queen of the Monsters! will be posted on deviantArt, FanFiction [AdventDestiny-BETA], and Kaiju Galaxy/Kaiju Galaxy Forum [AdventDestiny-Iota]. Daikaiju Academy: Rise of Bio-Chimera! will be posted on deviantArt and FanFiction.
For those who want to see a little more uhhh... "intimate" content, I will post extended, "unrated" versions of JIRA: Queen of the Monsters! and Daikaiju Academy: Rise of Bio-Chimera! on a couple of sites that aren't as easily accessible to minors. Simply send me a note, and I will provide a link to these sites; should I discover that you are underage, I will kick your ass!
As I said before, questions and comments are encouraged; any and all feedback helps me improve my skills [unless it's just rude]. Also, again, whatever ideas or concepts you suggest, if used, will be fully credited to you, no matter how minor.
Cross your fingers, and wish me luck, pretty please!

Jira Megami: Queen of the Monsters
General | Posted 13 years agoAs you can see from the title, this will be my first major short-story project of this year. Conceived as the beginning for my Kaiju Garu Shima/ Monster Girl Island series, JM:QotM will read more as a Godzilla fan-fic; I want to give my oc Godzilla girl Jira a beginning fitting the long legacy of orignal kaiju created by Toho studios for the Godzilla franchise. The story will begin with a goverment project studying the Regenerator G-1 protein found in Godzilla's cells, in the hopes of reverse engineering the G-cells miraculous healing abilities. An accident involving a mysterious computer virus and an unstable alien crystal results in the inadvertent creation of Jira Megami. She matures quickly, and eventually escapes, which is when she'll meet the human lead for the series, Gary Strauss.
Along with Jira, this story will also feature Godzilla, Deutalios, Kamacurus and the Gimantids, Kamoebas, Krystalak, and Soran. It's an ambitious beginning, but one that I feel will be well worth the stress and time. This will only be the beginning, and will feature many Godzilla monsters along with kaiju-girls based on them.
Officially the series will follow a PG-13 type of rating, but I do intend on including some more adult artwork and stories, which I will have to edit for deviantArt.com and Fanfiction.net. Here are the links to the other sites where you can find my Kaiju Garu Shima series...

[note this is an adult site, so I don't want any minors going there; if you little squirts choose to disregard this then I'm afraid I'll have no choice but to sick Gabara on you!]
JM:QotM and KGS will hopefully represent a new style of Godzilla fanfic, as well as a new beginning for the popular kaiju-girl phenomanum [yes, I meant to mispell that... I quoteing Dr. Yamane from the first Godzilla movie!] that could entertain many Godzilla nerds for years to come.
