I ran to and opened the freezer door the moment I collected my wits, terrified of what I'd find... and immediately had to back away so I wouldn't get stabbed by Marge and the largest knife I'd ever seen. "Whoa, whoa there!" I tried to calm her, and after a few panicked seconds that felt like an hour, the shaking waitress dropped the knife and ran into my arms. "I... I... It was... I jumped from the ceiling and I..."

She wasn't in any state to give me any information. And the warmth spreading through my shirt left me feeling sick. Poor Marge had been cut just under the shoulder, on her arm. Lucky it didn't hit the artery, but it was still a dangerous amount amount of blood that was staining into my clothing. I quickly made a bandage with the cleanest towel I could find and asked her to keep pressure on it, and called headquarters as I ran out the door.

I hated leaving Marjorie like that in the kitchen, but she should be okay till the paramedics arrived, and whatever had attacked her might make a repeat performance. I ran out of the dark alley and onto the street, looking left and right. Another scream, again from behind the library, this time it was a man's voice. But then something skittered out of sight just in the corner of my eye. Probably whatever was in the kitchen with Marjorie.

I was pretty sure that alley was a dead end, but I wasn't entirely certain what would be waiting for me in there. Jumped from the ceiling she'd said. And then there was whatever was happening at the place I was supposed to be keeping an eye on.

Shit.

I wanted to go see what the hell was going on outside, but there was the small problem of Marjorie sounding like she was getting murdered. I moved to go towards the kitchen, but the Punk stood solidly in my way. I was going to tell him to stow it, but he was faster. The man's greasy hand shoved against me. I don't think a second passed before I reared back and clocked him with the biggest hay-maker I could muster.

My knuckles hurt like a bitch and I knew I'd be regretting it the moment I heard the dull thud of the punk stumbling back and crashing into the table. I didn't even spare a moment to check if he was okay before I jumped over the counter and headed behind to the kitchen. I didn't want to believe that the scream I'd heard came from sweet Marjorie. I wasn't sweet on her like the punk had suggested, but I certainly didn't want any harm to come to her.

"Marge? Marge!"

There she was.

Well, at least she -was- there, judging by the massive blood stain on the floor. What the fuck happened? My eyes followed the trail of blood on the floor, my heart beating faster as I realised there was no -way- she was going to be okay. I'd never seen so much blood in my life...

And I didn't like the way it led to the walk in freezer, of all places.

I was startled by the sound of the rear door, the one that led into the back alley, closing shut in the wind.

Shit, did whoever do this run out while I wasn't looking? What the hell was going on tonight?

Here goes.

Left. Right. Jump. Slide under. The creature's attacks were coming fast and furious, but the red latex clad hero was getting into the rhythm. The mass of tentacles couldn't get close enough to slap their sticky slime onto him, and any that he couldn't dodge was sliced in half by his laser daggers. Blue and Yellow were caught, he couldn't help them or he'd get caught himself.

The panting hero jumped over another slick mass of flesh shooting out towards him, and only once he cleared the obstacle did he realize his mistake. Eyes widened behind the opaque visor as a smaller tentacle changed direction and headed straight for him now that he was in mid air. Shit. He couldn't cut it without still getting hit, and blocking would be just as fatal as getting hit. Time slowed as it approached, dripping it's glue like fluids as it moved to stick to him.

He was able to read the inscription on the bullet as it hurtled past him, so close it scratched his visor before crashing into the tentacle, the impact knocking it away.

A quick glance at his HUD confirmed that White was still all right and well out of the beast's range, and Red took off again the moment he landed. He didn't even worry about the powerful sniper rifle's shots as they sailed past him like automatic fire. Each bullet always found it's way somewhere he wasn't, or at least somewhere he wasn't any more. There were a few close calls, but not a single of the projectiles required Red to alter his movements, allowing him to pour on the speed now that he didn't need to dodge as many of the attacks. Tentacles were knocked away like flies, but the closer he got the more there were.

This close there was another threat as well. The creature's airborn toxins were filtered by his mask, but the sweet and tangy scent of sex was still strong. He heard Green roar behind him, fighting to keep White concentrated on his task by attracting all of the tentacles to himself instead. Blue and Yellow's moans resounded through the coms as the tentacles found their way inside the tight latex, searching.

Red's breathing quickened as he felt the pleasurable surges of lust move through their empathic link. The hesitation almost made him run straight into a wall of sticky flesh, but he had the presence of mind to slice it in half and pass through. The goop on it splattered against him, however, sticking to the latex, slowing his movements. He was in too deep. White's shots couldn't make it this far in any more, and Red's movements were slowed enough that after two, three glancing blows he was knocked to the side by a heavy pillar of sticky meat.

He rolled to his feet and snarled, feeling his own suit press down against his hard endoyment, combining his blades into one larger beam. Fire surged around him as he struggled not to break concentration, not to cum from the stimulation of his team mates. Green was caught. White was being used by three different tentacles... and Blue and Yellow were far gone, only half conscious in the pleasured haze, just enough to stay connected to their link and keep their suits and powers active as they twitched in repeated orgasms.

As I watched the short tigress saunter off back behind her counter, I had to admit I was more than a little stressed. First day on the beat without a partner, and first time I was doing a night shift, too. Standing at six two with a better than average amount of muscle mass on my frame, it's not like I thought I was weak and the citizens would try and attack this lone cop. But considering this city had quite a high population of Anthros as well, including whales and ox and elephants and the occasional dragon, I did feel a little... outclassed.

Straightening my cap for what seemed like the hundredth time in five minutes, I sighed. The only reason I was alone was because this wasn't a high risk situation. Just keeping my seat in the diner and making sure no one made any vandalism attempts on the library. They'd gotten a few threats lately, but it wasn't like I was expecting a murder or anything. The chief, an old rhino with a bit of a gut but enough muscle to break me in thirds, figured chasing away some would be teenage graffiti artists might be a good way to get me started on night shifts.

I sipped the scalding mud in my cup and grimaced, glancing towards the counter to make sure she hadn't seen it. Marjorie was a sweet little thing, and she always had my eggs ready in the morning when I got in. And even if her coffee tasted like dirt, it woke me up, which was the important part. I looked around the diner when she wasn't behind near the register, and saw her talking down to some punk. A green mohawk and a thick black leather jacket made the human look like he was part of some gang, and the way he ignored poor Marjorie's berating as he kept his heavy, covered boots on the table reinforced the idea that he was a bad guy. At least an indecent one.

I stared at my own blue eyed, short blond haired reflection in the mug before downing the rest of the liquid dirt, burning my throat as I stood. A quick adjustment of my uniform, and it was time to go straighten things out.

At least, that was the plan. Just as I was leaving my table, I spotted a snow leopard clutching something against his chest and running off the main street into the alleyway behind the library.

"Now Listen here-"
"You listen! I came here for service, ya dumb broad. Now get me my burger before I get -real- unpleasant."

Of course.
Chief always said the choice was the hardest part of the job.

EDIT: I'm going to elaborate on the concept a little bit. This is going to be based on the World of Darkness. An already established world that is basically like our own, just with creepy freaky things happening.

You, the audience, have control over exactly two things: The first, whether the world has anthros and/or humans living in it. In the case of both, they'll be living together, but there may be cases of racism on either side.

The second, the -one- main character who will be going through the story.

If there are certain parts of the questions you don't get, that's fine. You can answer one or all of them, and I'll be happy.

All right, before we get started, time start with suggestions. What I'd like to hear from you all, is:

Should the story revolve around Anthros, or humans? Are both present in the world, or only one?

In the anthro case what manner of species do you guys want to hear about?

I want suggestions on Character Archetypes. Either a trope or concept, or flat out giving a character from an existing series as your answer.

As far as mechanical things, I want to know what you guys think the priority order should be for

Attributes: Physical, Mental and Social (Example: Physical first, Social second and Mental third)
Skills: Physical, Mental and Social (Example: Mental skills first, Social second and Physical third)

And any little things he should be decent or good at (Driving? Brawling? investigating? hiding?)

Well, that was a fruitful little while. Went through several thousand submissions, and now the stack's down to... 19956. Great.

On that note, anyone I'm rp-ing with, on or off the site, sorry. I haven't been doing a lot of writing. Or a lot of anything, really. My life is mostly Commute, work, commute, sleep, repeat. With Saturdays being "let's go work on projects with friends" day and food sometimes (but not always) being shoved somewhere in there. I haven't forgotten ya'll , I'm just not doing much writing at all.

And that's the problem. I don't have much writing mojo lately, even when I do have some time to waste riding the bus t and from work. So what I'm thinking is, I need to write something for Me to try and get them juices flowing.

And what better thing to do than indulge in the guilty pleasure that is the World of Darkness? (Vampires, Werewolves, Gheists, Prometheans, Mages, etc.)



So what I'm wondering is, if I start to write a Choose your Own Adventure style Story, here in my journals, who would be interested in participating?

The format would essentially be, I write a few paragraphs , you guys write down some suggestions on the character's actions, and after a week, or a day, or however long, I either pick the one that has the most votes, or a random one, or whatever (system to be decided) and add in a few more paragraphs based on that, continuing the story.
