Please Support a Demon <3
Posted a year agoHi everyone!! So it's been a little bit!! For those who remember, I've been in school for 3D Modeling and Animation. I just recently graduated!!
So what did I learn? I learned modeling, rigging, animation, texturing, retopo, and even brushed up on game design!! I know how to make maws in 3D and make 'em move!! You bet I'll be using these new talents for evil!!
So going forward, there's a lot of exciting new things on the horizon, and even then my 2D art is the best it's ever been! (Which I suppose doesn't mean a lot unless I somehow actually got worse lmao).
I plan to work in industry as well to gain experience, however, getting a job has been tough after all the writer strikes in the animation industry. It's tough to get my foot in the door, but I'll keep trying!
So in the meantime:
Plans for Future
Game Over Pictures - These will now be timed releases for patrons and supporters! I want my contributions to this community to remain to be free, but right now I'm in a tough spot financially, so I need to think about surviving. I hope you understand!! When I'm in a place to support myself better these will go back to being free. <3
3D Modeling - I make 3D models of critters and monsters, and ideally what I'd like to be able to do is make full blown animations of them!! That's right, in the theme of video games maybe qte fails, all that jazz! It'll be great!! Again, WIPs and early access will go to supporters. <3
Video Game - I have a multiplayer video game in the works!! It's a cooperative game not unlike Resident Evil and Lethal Company!! Currently I have working cameras and movement for a single player, but once again, any WIPS, demos, and concept work will go to supporters. <3
NEW Game Over Streams!! - Once again, for supporters, I'm going to do a weekly art stream where I doodle on a canvas! Think Drawfee or something similar, but for game overs!! Have a creature pop up in one of your games that you think is a real cutie?? But they're so obscure no other artist has thought to draw them?? Just want to see my take on a Yoshi?? Then as a supporter you can join the voice chat and request things directly during the stream!! (Disclaimer, what I draw will be a mixture of first-come-first serve, who hasn't gotten a request yet, what ideas just sound super fun, etc. Generally speaking only oral vore with no humans)
I'm really excited about this one, because we can develop this community even further and support each other to make some great stuff!! Please feel free to draw alongside me too!! I can help teach you everything I know too, if that's what you're interested in!!

Commissions - YES I will finally be opening for these!! I will make a commission sheet with prices, but in the interest of simplicity and clarity, commissions will be all-or-nothing. The base price will be $100, and that will get you basically a 1920 by 1080 picture. You can divide that picture into 1-3 panels, or you can go 1 full picture if you want the max amount of detail. So for example, if you want a mawshot of maximum quality, it might be best to get just that instead of a bunch of side panels. Each panel is a multiplicative amount of extra work, so just think of it as me dividing time effort and love in 1 picture vs a sequence. The amount should be comparable, but again I need to survive so as much as I'd love to work for free and support your awesome ideas, I will starve. And as a community, I think we understand better than most the value of a full tummy. <3
Tutoring - Yep!! I'm gonna teach short little classes!! Want to learn to draw game overs like a demon? Want to learn some basics of 3D modeling? Let's talk!! If there's anything that excites me, it's the idea of being a positive force in this community that helps drive us all forward. I want to be there for you the way this community has been there for me. Let's grow together. <3
Anyway!! Thank you so much for reading!! If I've helped inspire you at all, made you smile, or you just want to see what I can do with my new skills, please consider supporting me with whatever is reasonable for you to give!!
Thank you again so much. I love you so much. This community has been such an amazing wonderful place to be. I hope it has been that for you too. <333

Sketches and Overall Update!
Posted 3 years agoHey guys 'n gals 'n everything in between
Twitter's been kinda weird lately. People are saying it's gonna implode, people are saying it's not gonna implode
REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT IMPLODES OR NOT
I've realized it's not really a good idea to put all my eggs in one basket!! So instead I'm gonna start branching out into new communities.
It used to be I'd use twitter for sketches, and FA for only finished works, but I think my sketches are now at the point where they're good enough to be posted. So yeah!! Look forward to that! (Some people legit thought I was dead but it's just that I haven't had anything but sketches to post in a while lol). I won't go back and post EVERY SKETCH as that would be like a year's worth of weekly sketches and that would be hilarious spam, but I will post some of the more interesting recent stuff I've done, and everything else going forward.
I don't care about numbers or anything. I care about talking to folks, responding to comments, overall building a community around our weird niche interests~
That's why it's important to me to curse as many timelines as I can.
Anyway, you can follow me at:
https://twitter.com/AerithShrubling
@AerithShrubling@gulp.cafe (Mastodon)
and here!
(I technically also have a cohost but so far posting there has been like posting into a fathomless void, no engagement or conversation at all haha, like I said I don't care about likes and favourites so it wasn't a satisfying experience to me)
Let's tackle this new year together!! <3

Commissions and Patreon
Posted 5 years agoHey guys! I just wanted to give an update on my situation and my plans moving forward.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Section 1 - My Situation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So my hours had been gradually cut since around November. Holiday season is usually pretty dead, with summer being super booming, so I really just had to get through the winter (hence me taking a bunch of commissions around that time). Then of course, enter Covid. Although I was officially laid off August 30th, the truth is I haven't worked a *day* since April. My job kept me on as "forced leave of absence" so... was kinda in a bad spot.
I managed to get a new job in a town three hours' drive away, so I moved all my stuff up there with the intent to look for a place. Two months passed without me able to get *any* leads on an affordable place. To put it in perspective, there was a place "maybe" opening up in November, but it was $1500 a month so hardly a reasonably affordable place. To stay at airbnbs or whatever in the meantime would've cost me over five thousand dollars for one month.
I had to formally withdraw from the paying position before I even started and move someplace cheaper. That's where I'm at now. Kinda in limbo.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Section 2 - Commissions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So up until this point I've mostly been playing catch up on emergency commissions I'd taken on since December. I know a lot of you are interested and I keep having to say no because I had too many on my list already... believe me I felt bad about it. I also felt bad about making people wait for commissions they'd already paid for.
The good news is, I'm mostly caught up on commissions. Patreon rewards, not so much, but I'll come back to that.
I want to open up commissions officially, but I want to do it right this time. Taking on a bunch in emergency sucks because they're automatically backed up. I'd love to be more... preemptive in the future, so it doesn't come down to that. What I would like to do is charge for a commission and start it that very same day. Some commissions take longer than others, so some might need more than one day, but I figure if I can have the sketch done at least, I can get approval to continue and it all just runs super smooth (my usual process is to sketch it out, send it to the commissioner, ask if it's good enough to finalize or if there are any changes to be made).
The problem being... due to my situation, I don't know if I can continue to charge just $50 anymore. I know my art isn't worth more, but in order for it to be feasible to keep creating, it needs to be worth more than I can make otherwise. I'm pretty much in ultra-survival mode right now, so if an activity doesn't pay enough I can't survive spending my time on it. Particularly because I still have rent to pay, and food to buy. My privacy is ultra limited now too so I have to spend it on things that can keep me alive. It feels awful to have to write that but it's true.
Going forward I'd like to add backgrounds and stuff to pieces, really create a "scene" with the work instead of what I normally do. Like drawn backgrounds. Things like "oh I want my character to be sitting in a cafe with a full belly smugly asking for the bill". More situation, more character, more expression, more DRAMA. That's what I'd like to work on going forward.
I also know there are a lot of people messaging me about commissions and asking when I'm available, and I've promised to reach out to them when I'm open, but I don't think I could feasibly take on every single person that expressed interest. I'm so sorry for that. Just know that your support means the world to me. I don't mean to choose favourites or pick and choose which idea is "best". It's more about what is feasible to complete "now", or ideas I can really focus on.

Section 3 - Patreon Rewards
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So up until now, I've had two slots for patreon rewards priced the same as regular commissions. These were originally meant to be "game overs", as in, actual characters and creatures from video games that don't belong to anyone in particular, or companies and games and such. I'd been perhaps a little too lenient on it, though. Instead I allowed people to request whatever they wanted, such as their characters and stuff. This means that absolutely no vetting went into patreon rewards, leading to some awkward situations where I had to say that I didn't do NSFW stuff to people who'd already paid expecting such a picture. It's all resolved now, but I think going forward I'd like to be a bit more strict about it.
The nice thing about "Game Overs" is that the characters, creatures, and situations are all recognizable and enjoyable by everyone. Sure the game may be obscure or popular, but because it's mostly public domain, people feel more excited about fan art and stuff. It's also way easier to do characters that exist in media already because tons of references already exist, knowledge of the characters is easy to come by, and often the character designs evoke a clear and distinct style that's easier to capture. Going forward I want to keep Game Overs at the same price but with that caveat: they must be actual game overs; this isn't just a guaranteed commission slot.
To further explain why, I love so much when I post fan art of a character or creature and people message and be like... "oh my gosh, I thought the same thing! So good to see that character like this". It provokes a discussion, interaction between the artist, the requester, and the commenter. And that's what I want, that's what I love about being in this community. Sharing moments, ideas, talking. <3
That's what I want Game Overs to be. A way for us degenerates to bond. To grow our community in a way that promotes sharing, talking, and joking. nvn
Anyway if you got this far, thank you so much for reading. Please, if you have any ideas or suggestions, leave a comment! Such as pricing? Or what you think of the Game Overs ideas? Backgrounds? Whatever, I'm open to discussion. Just talk/yell at me. <3
Commissions!
Posted 6 years agoHave you ever wanted to be eaten? To see what it's like? To go beyond that dark portal, framed by dangerous teeth, or beak, or mandibles? Have you ever wondered what your OC's maw looks like, open and wide and ready to receive lunch?
Such a common act, but for you or someone you know, it could be the most important thing you ever experience...
Haha vore funneh
That's right! I'm opening commissions soon. I don't have enough money for rent (let alone food) so I'm gonna go ham and work really hard for the rest of the month!! I'll post a journal when I'm ready to take them. All I have to do is finish a patron reward and then I'm gonna open commissions up wiiiiiiide~
nvn Pictures in general will be about $50 each, just 'cuz I need the munz so much. I'm open to negotiation depending on the idea as well, in general multiple panels are more difficult, etc.
All pictures will also include a juicy vore paragraph description to emphasize the moment. Imagine a picture in a storybook! I think context is important, so that's what that's for. nvn
Inspired by that video above (definitely watch it; it's adorable), I have decided to activate SHINIES.
Because kobolds deserve shinies!
Maybe I'll draw an internal view with any shinies he got inside... nvn
Posted 7 years agoGame Over, User Input Edition
Posted 8 years agoSo, I'm going to be making a sort of webcomic-style thingy for future Game Overs. It'll include panels, short animations, and text explaining the situation.
It will take user-input (possibly over a discord server?) for what the controlled character should do next, with obvious repercussions. <:
It'll also have guest artists!!
So, what do you think? nvn
Game Overs and Butts
Posted 8 years agoHow should I balance these? Should I alternate? I really like the new style so I want to practice with it a bit more. I'll do more pixel art for sure, but for now I wanna improve my painting.
What should I do next?
Maws?
Butts?
Thatch-roofed huts?
Any ideas are welcome! Keep it to fan-art for now though.
Revali from Breath of the Wild
Posted 8 years agoSpoilers Obviously
I know people like to say he's an asshole (and he sorta is), but he's my favourite character in Breath of the Wild.
He's my favourite champion because, unlike the others who just kinda go along with the pre-established notion of fate and destiny, he says effectively "screw that."
And not just that... he's not all talk, either. Through character dialogue and item descriptions alike, you discover that he is (or was) the best archer of his species. And the Rito are exceptional archers in general, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say he was the best in the world. The leader of the Rito insists that no Rito alive is capable of even wielding the Great Eagle Bow (Revali's Signature Weapon) to its true potential. So you have to think like... to get that kinda consideration. He must have worked hard. Extremely hard. That wasn't just boasting, he worked hard for everything he became.
And then just imagine. He spends years of his life training, learning to be the best he is at not only archery, but creating an updraft that even other Rito cannot do. And then, after all that... this kid shows up, and is naturally just... good at everything. Doesn't have to try. He's got the master sword, he's the chosen one. He gets special treatment and recognition effectively because "he woke up mythical one day". That's gotta be frustrating. It's no wonder he's such an ass to you. Could he be nicer? Yes. But it's not YOU he's angry with. It's destiny. It's fate.
And he doesn't just trust you because he's told he has to. He wants you to earn it. He challenges you. Everyone else just... goes along with it. Accepts that you are to be their salvation. I have tremendous respect for him for questioning things and thinking for himself.
And how he died is really fucked up. He may as well have gotten shoved in a can that was then thrown in the oven. He had no way of escaping, nowhere to go, and limitless evil to fight again and again without end. Even if he won against that form of Ganon, it would keep coming. He was trapped in the thick of Ganon's evil.
I really think he was a victim of everything. He deserved to be upset. He deserved better than to be abandoned and tossed aside as he was. He deserves more than to be unanimously hated.
Also he's kinda cute.
But it's not YOU he's angry with. It's destiny. It's fate.
And he doesn't just trust you because he's told he has to. He wants you to earn it. He challenges you. Everyone else just... goes along with it. Accepts that you are to be their salvation. I have tremendous respect for him for questioning things and thinking for himself.
And how he died is really fucked up. He may as well have gotten shoved in a can that was then thrown in the oven. He had no way of escaping, nowhere to go, and limitless evil to fight again and again without end. Even if he won against that form of Ganon, it would keep coming. He was trapped in the thick of Ganon's evil.
I really think he was a victim of everything. He deserved to be upset. He deserved better than to be abandoned and tossed aside as he was. He deserves more than to be unanimously hated.
Also he's kinda cute.
Picture a Day Series! [Game Over] and [Underlooked]
Posted 9 years agoSo! To practice digital art, I've given myself a "picture a day" challenge, to essentially draw fanart of various characters from various video games. But what exactly I draw depends on the series itself!!
[Game Over]
This series is, you guessed it, about the noms! I'll take characters and creatures from various universes and draw some perception of a possible "game over" if that creature ate the player! I'll try to do different and interesting poses.... mawshots are great but I don't want every creature to just blank stare at you.
Special bias goes to creatures and characters that are largely overlooked in the vore community. There are tons of great creatures everywhere! Think of all the maws!!
So if you have any recommendations or suggestions, please let me know!! I don't do requests, per say, but if I like an idea then I'm likely to do it! For example, the helmaroc king wasn't my idea, nor was the like-like!
Talking about this should be fun! Let's bounce ideas! ^v^
Please keep in mind this doesn't guarantee I'll do it. It's not a request in that way. But ideas I like will be added to the list. At some point I may post this list but for now, I'm keeping it secret so as not to spoil the surprise. ^v^
Talking to Popular Artists
Posted 10 years agoA few people have asked me how it is I talk to such popular artists!
Well, I'm going to tell you!
Talking to popular artists is a complicated, step-by-step procedure. But follow these steps, and you'll be ready to talk to the most popular artists on this site! Go you! <:
1) Realize that they are better than you.
This is the hardest step for most people to wrap their head around. Artists are not people. Never treat them like they are. Artists are, for all intents and purposes, creators. They are gods if you're feeling dramatic. They have seen things you daren't dream of.
2) Talk about a shared interest.
How do you know them? Are they known for drawing good vore art? Then you know to talk only about vore from then on. Make sure you do not bore them with other topics. See? Simple once you know how!
3) Send more messages.
As mythological beings, they reside in higher planes of existence. Reception up there is terrible, so be sure to send as many messages as possible to give the highest chance that at least one will go through. Being noticed is sort of like the first step of an initiation. Shout loud enough, and they'll respect you all the more for it.
4) Start an RP. Artists are timid creatures, and love when others make the first move. So when a popular artist posts a picture that you really like, reward them by offering to do acts of a sexual nature involving it. Try this when the art is clean! The shock and thrill of such taboo discussion on clean art is sure to win anyone over.
4.5) This is an optional step. If they are too timid during step 4, they may not respond at all. Make sure not to get discouraged! What you need to do now is essentially trap them. Tell them "Nice picture". The less words the better. When they respond with a "Thanks! :P", now it is time to initiate. Now that they've responded, take that as a sign to type out at least a paragraph of RP text. Trust me, this will get them every time.
5) Use their friends.
Find out everyone they know. Add all of them. Latch onto them and use them as leverage for why they should speak to you. Artists sometimes have lots of friends! That's a lot of leverage. <:
6) Realize when it's time to let go.
Congrats! You have important artist friends. Too bad you still have all those... not-artist friends around. Because you know so many artists now, those other guys are just holding you back. Get rid of them! This is how you achieve true transcendence to that higher plane that artists are from.
7) Achieve eternal flowing-cape status.
You'll know you've made it because any loose clothing you now wear, such as a cape or even feathers, will now billow in the wind, even if there is no breeze. Beautiful.
Well, I'm going to tell you!
Commissions and Stuff
Posted 10 years agoAlright, so! I'm poor. Like poor poor. Like I currently have $1.29 in my bank account poor. Student loans and transit fees and grad fees all went nuts on me and stole all my lunch money, so to speak!
So yeah. I'm thinking of doing commissions. Up until now I've kinda done them unofficially behind the scenes for friends, one at a time, but in light of everything... strongly considering opening them up for real.
So I kinda need a bit of advice! What can I offer, and what is someone willing to pay? I'll be straight up with you... what I'll charge is not what I'm worth. The quality of my works is subpar at best, and I'm still so eager to improve that it'll be impossible to predict how much better I'll get just with more practice. That is to say there is no "here's exactly what you're getting" because quite frankly I haven't the foggiest. All I know is that I'll pour my heart into it; you won't see me being complacent. I will take risks and I will restart if I'm not happy.
Is this something people would be interested in? If so, what kind of price range would we be thinking? Just keep in mind I'm an art n00b, I'm still learning, and I have no money, haha. So buying a commission almost directly inserts food into my beak. :v
Moved Out!
Posted 10 years agoAlright, so I know I moved in with a bunch of guys but like... why does that mean everything has to be dirty? We don't even own a vacuum!! Legit the first thing I bought, before food, before bedding, before anything else, was a Magic Eraser to clean the walls. ovo;;
Okay I suck.
Posted 11 years agoBUT IT'S OKAY.
I totally have a plan. Don't lose faith in me yet! I thiiiiink I have just the thing to make myself a better artist.
Oh, and this is not one of those "But you're actually really good" journals. Anyone who responds as such will be devoured. Followed by gratuitous digestion the likes of which I cannot possibly draw. <:
So new arts soon! See ya then~
New 'sona.
Posted 11 years agoFinding the right 'sona has always been important to me. A lot of people think I switch depending on mood, but it has actually been a sort of soul search for me in a lot of ways, finding out what I'm comfortable with and tweaking a character to better fit my own personality.
Behind the scenes, as in off FA, I've designed a new character that I figured would be just for fun. But since changing to it around... September of last year or so, I have yet to go back. It just... fits. Later today, or possibly in the next few days or so, I'll show what that new self is.
See you then. <:
Aerith: Look!! Bird noms!!
Aerith: That ain't Falco... oh wait.
Friend: o..o
Aerith: UP SMASH
Friend: Wat
Aerith: You are not getting this reference. <:
Friend: Nope!
Aerith: After this picture, Falco repeatedly asked Fox "Where you at? Where you at? Where you at?"
Friend: Wat
Aerith: He got that burger for cheap. It was a wombo combo.
Friend: I'm confused... D:
Didn't think that one would be so obscure! Still, that picture's cool. Bird noms are cool. Birds and noms. Noms and birds.
Sorry for not being around.
Posted 11 years agoJust thought I'd give an update. I finished school so things are a little hard while I try and find a job to keep myself going while I design vidya gamz. It's been a rough time! So unfortunately I haven't been around much.
Sorry guys! I hope to be around more, but I can't make promises. Just don't take it personally. o..o;;
