Sorry it has been a year since I posted. Last year there were several upheavals in my life and I sort of spiraled down myself. I am not back to what I would have considered normal but I am finally establishing a new normal.

I have a new laptop and have not installed DAZ on it yet so it may be a while before I have any renderings... However; I do have open-office installed and have started to dust off the Giovanni and Fabrizio stories.

When I write, I tend to write a chapter and hand it off to my beta-reader and then write another chapter. When the beta-reader hands me back the story with mark up, sometimes it sits until I have the next chapter done and passed off to the beta reader; others I set aside the new writing and make the corrections.... In any event; there is a chapter of each Fabrizio and Giovanni in various states and I have detail notes for the next Fabrizio chapter after that.... and I still have my notes for about 20 more chapters after that.... It just takes time to get the rhythm going again.

There was one other unfinished story, a sequel to "The Statue of Eros" that I finished and posted on Yaoi Gallery.... so if you want to read it you can peek on my account other there. Otherwise; give me a couple of weeks for the next installation of the naughty wizards.

It is very strange....

On Yaoi Gallery, my images have more views then my stories. I suppose that is to be expected since it takes more time to read a story then to look at an image. Here, oddly it is the opposite. I have more of a following on my stories then the images... while that is way COOL... only a fraction of them have comments. I get more comments on y!G even though I get less hits.

In the end, the reason I write is because I like to, and because I want to get better at it. The way I get better is for critiques of what I write. I post them to get feedback.....

Does anyone have suggestions HOW to get more feedback?

I sent in my laptop last Tuesday to get the power-jack fixed (and asked they look at a few things like it getting hotter then it should - while it was in the shop). It arrived Thursday according to FedEx, but the email from Acer said Friday... Seems as if that was what happened last time too... I expect to get it back by next Friday.

Unlike last time I am getting some work done. I just completed the first edit of Giovanni Chapter 15 tentatively titled "New Horizons". I am going to make one more top to bottom pass tomorrow and email it to Nemo. Hopefully it will be ready to post by the end of the week... but who knows.

I have started Fabrizio Chapter 8. I only have about a page of it written, but have a decent idea what all will happen in the chapter. Give that another three weeks or so. That chapter is not coming as fast.

While this temp laptop has enough speed and disk to run DAZ, I don't have everything loaded onto it and it is a bit frustrating to work on. Hopefully I will be in the mood for DAZ stuff when I get my laptop back....Odds are I will continue to do writing on this temp laptop until I get the other back.

Giovanni chapter 15 is going to be a bit longer then the others it seems. I'm up to like 8 pages and just getting to the sex... It is a real turning point in the story though and sort of necessary. It should be ready to post in a week or so. Then I will post a chapter or two of Fabrizio.

My new years resolution is to follow my muse better. I won't force myself to work one recreational thing or another, but will go where the story takes me. This is good news to those who like to read them in that it means I may be doing MORE chapters instead of rushing to the end of the story. The bad news is, there could be pauses in the release "schedule".

What I would like to know is: Why I get MORE hits here on FA then I do at y!G but get LESS comments??!? I write because I enjoy it and because I want to hone my skills as a writer. I POST them because I want feedback and correspondence with my readers. PLEASE: don't be shy. If you're pissed because you clicked on the pretty thumbnail and got a story - say so. If you think my writing sucks, or needs improvement in an area (more graphic description, description of smells, sights, feelings, sensations - or even plot)...or if you have a specific request for a particular pairing....PLEASE post a comment.... not that I don't like "oh that was hot" type comments, because I do - but I sort of "need" the critique type.

For those waiting for the next installment of something... I apologize. I got the second chapter of fox hunter written and have done some work on the third chapter, but have not got it posted anywhere. quillofvulcan has been busy and so have I, been hard getting our heads together....

I have been working on Fabrizio 6 & 7 together... and now my laptop had an issue...the hinge froze and when I shut the lid the case cracked. It will be over a week from now before I get it back. I am writing this using an old computer made for windows 98 that I am running ME on... If it wasn't shared by someone else during the day I would put Ubuntu on it.... at least then it would be a bit more stable.

I do have open office and copied my works in progress so maybe I will get something done this wee... but don't hold your breath... Sorry...

the good news is at least I worked out part of the plot issue I was having with Fabrizio 6 and 7 and think I know how those puzzle pieces fit and can continue writing.

I'm another year older as of three minutes ago... and No, I don't feel any different. I don't really have any plans to celebrate. There is a lot going on in my life right now, busy at home and busy at work. I'm getting ready for a little trip and some time off work. I think I have found out how to have Internet while I am away from home. I very much like to stay in-touch with my friends. Maybe I'm just too busy for a birthday. Maybe I don't want to feel older, but maybe it just doesn't bother me or matter to me anymore. I am pretty sure I'm not happy about it.

I have "Fox Hunter" chapter 2 done and off to Nemo for beta reading. QuillOfVulcan has a copy and may be doing some renders for it. He has asked that I do some of the poses for chapter 3 and I have started on a few of them. We keep missing each other online I think - he hasn't seen what I have so far yet. I don't have the dialog done for chapter 3 yet, but have a lot of the plot worked out in my head.

Currently I am working on Fabrizio 7 & 8 simultaneously. I have one question on my mind right now. How close will Fabrizio and Enzo get? I guess that is a real teaser question. I am afraid with my trip, there is a good possibility you may need to wait until September to get those chapters. I think I have mapped out a vague plot for the chapters of Fabrizio up through 15 chapters and chapters for Giovanni up through chapter 20.

I haven't started yet, but I intend to upgrade my DAZ to the latest version and want to start going back and doing renders of some of my older stories. I think I will start with "The Statue of Eros" since it was the first thing I posted here ever. I am not sure what I will do after that - maybe "shade by the pond" or maybe "A Rabbit's Tail". I will go back and forth between the three "major" projects as the spirits move me. I really believe in following my muse. I think if you don't do that you burn out or you just don't do your best work.

Last item of update. Nemo and I have done some role-playing this week. I am very very pleased with the outcome of the short cooperative story we have put together. We have a lot to do to clean up the text. Often with roleplay the personal-pronouns slip back and forth between 1st and 3rd person and I am very guilty of this, especially when it is late at night. We have a lot of clean up, and there are some parts that we want to flesh out a bit more... but I think you'll be seeing a new collab out in the next month or so.

Sorry I have not posted anything for a while. I have had a bit of writer's block. So many ideas flooding in my head at once and hard to sort out what ideas or good and fit with other ideas and what order to sort them into. Several times I sat staring onto an empty page. I started editing a story I had started before this hit me (The Fox Hunter - a collaborative work with a friend on y! where he did renderings to illustrate and I did the text and we both worked out the plot). I think if I can get chapter two of that out the door I can get back to work on Fabrizio 6 and/or Giovianni 14. In some ways part of my dilemma is that I feel I need to do some things in Fabrizio before I go back to Giovanni, but I am more inspired in doing Giovanni.... that and I have ideas for Fabrizio 7, 8, and 9... but I don't have a good Fabrizio 6...

Sorry I have been sooooo crazy busy. I have been playing with Joomla to set up some web sites for a friend and my mom of all things. Crazy crazy. I didn't get much writing done this week but was inspired today and got a couple more pages done on Fabrizio chapter 5. If the muses will it, I will have it done tomorrow... if they don't... I'm not sure when :D Seriously I hope to have it out soon.
