Swapping drawing program because I hate Windows
Posted a week agoAs the title says, I am in the process of swapping to Krita (was using Paint Tool SAI2) before.
It's not that I hate SAI, quite the opposite actually, but my love to SAI is outweigh by the hate towards Windows.
That garbage OS is a thorn in my eye for quite a while now. Not only did they make everything less functional, but now their "security updates" also brick your SSD.
So after 9 years in total of using SAI I made the tough decision to swap to a Linux native program.
I didn't swap my OS yet, since I want to have everything set up first and ensure my work still has the usual quality or better.
Setting Krita up to my likings is also quite the challenge, because SAI is fairly unique in how it works overall and even after 2 days purely setting up stuff I'm still not done yet.
Haven't decided on a distro yet either (I haven't looked into it too much yet either), but maybe you have some recommendations for me.
I game a lot; especially PvP focused games and I obviously draw a lot as well and I also never coded anything. Pretty sure these are fairly important points when choosing a distro, but I also have no clue what I'm talking about, so any help is appreciated!

Posted a year agoI did not know Dragoneer personally, but he made me how I am, without knowing it.
It would have never been possible for me without this community and this website to stand where I'm standing now.
I would have never thought that I would be able to make a living with my art at all and this is only possible because of Furaffinity.
Also I have never seen such a welcoming and nice community anywhere else.
Thank you Dragoneer for this website, that actually changed my life and also thank you to everyone that is part of this community.
Nothing of this would be possible without you and I'm forever grateful for that.

Posted 5 years agoFor almost 8 years now I've tried to get my art career going working up to 15h a day every day.
This is the first time I'm able to take some days off and do something besides drawing.
And let me tell you this...it feels very weird for me to take a day off (and even weirder to take a whole week off).
I can only do this because of this community right here. Even though I'm not a furry myself, almost everyone I hade contact on here was great.
I'll be back on commission duty next week though. That's basically all I wanted to say.
