Update Journal I Guess???
Posted a year agoSo it's been ages since I've really been active on this site so I figured it's due time for an update on what's all been going on with me. Idk who's honestly interested but hey maybe this is the motivation I need to actually use this site again.
3 years ago I lost my job and have been unemployed and fighting for disability since. Obtaining and maintaining a job has always been a struggle for me due to my mental health issues that make it near impossible to hold down a steady job, so it's been an uphill battle. I've been denied thrice so far, and this appeal is moving forward towards an administrative hearing which I have finally found a representative to aid me in this crucial step. I'm keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that I'll get approved this time as it has not been easy on the household.
So what does this mean for the future? Honestly, I have no clue. I would like to get back into the FA and Furry Community as a whole again, but I just felt so disconnected from it since I've been focusing on myself offline. I'd like to be able to get back into drawing, even if I feel my work is subpar at best, and to even commission artists again to spoil my beloved characters T-T but we'll have to see what time brings.

Lilith Lestat
• Where did the name of your Fursona come from?
Lilith, according to some texts of the Bible was created in tandem with Adam and was his first wife. I don't know much about the story beyond that. The name Lilith is widely spoken as the name of a famous, powerful she-demon.
Lestat was chosen after a particularly famous vampire from a book series by Anne Rice. :v
• What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
Baphomet! I chose a Baphomet as a bit of a trial character that I soon found I had more in common with than I originally thought. Though mostly used in some forms of Satanic worship, Baphomet was initially a Pagan deity who represented balance in all forms. I choose it because that is what I strive to have. A balance. Such can be seen in Lilith's design.
The balance between male and female; hence the genderfluid, but usually seen as a herm.
The balance between man and beast; hence the half human, half goat.
The balance between light and dark; hence the white and black color scheme.
• What color is your fursona and why? Hair/fur/eye/ect
White and black. As I stated in the last question, it's to represent balance. The eyes are red to show the demonic taint.
• What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your RL personality?
Pretty much the same. Lilith is very playful, flirty, hot-tempered, competitive, and prone to severe anxiety and depression. Much like me. The ONLY difference that I can see that differentiates us, is Lilith is a bit more confident than I am.
• What is one item your fursona owns that is significant to you in RL?
The glasses. I'm pretty near sighted in real life, thus I transferred that over to my sona. They don't like wearing glasses but knows they need them to read, which is it's favorite past time.
• What is one thing you think you would say to your fursona if you could meet?

• How has your fursona changed over the years?
Lilith is a pretty recentish character and hasn't really evolved much. I've given them a monster form, which is more furry than human, which I suppose could count. Before I finalized on the current appearance, Lilith was originally going to be something more akin to a Faun / Satyr in appearance.
• How long have you had this fursona?
For about..7-8 months? Not quite a year.
• Would you like to be more like your fursona?

Tyr is the Nordic God of Glory and Law. My mother originally wished to have a boy and had a name already picked out. Guess she didn't feel like changing it for a girl.

Mastery and control over lightning. As you've probably noticed, I always have it playing about my form and it grows in intensity depending on my mood.

1: What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
I never would have seen myself as a gryphon when I look back. My original fursona, Aeyote, was a coywolf. But as I've matured and changed, I realized she didn't fit me as much. So I figured a change was in order. I wanted something new. Something that would show of how I've changed.
So I chose a gryphon, a proud, and beautiful species. I like to think that now I have taken wing upon the soul of a gryphon, I can soar higher than ever before and achieve what I couldn't when I was 'grounded'.
2: Is your fursona just like you, or how you want to be?
Pretty much! Eden represents the new me. I used to be super shy and kind of a loner. But as I've matured I've opened up to SO many new individuals and met so many new friends. <3 I'm proud to call myself a gryphon. Proud to call myself Eden.
3: Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
Generally, yes. I try to keep my personal drama from showing through with her but it slips through sometimes. ^v^
4: Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Definitely!
5: Does your fursona look like you at all?
Not really. In her anthro form, I suppose that would be the case though. Glasses and an eyebrow piercing. <3 Also similar-ish body type.

Mhm. Though I do fluctuate what she is sometimes. I've thrown about the term of being genderfluid before because some days I feel more male than female. But generally I feel more female so I just stick with the term, tomboy, or a female with male tendencies. Eden shares this.
7: Do you have more then one main fursona?
I believe so. I can't completely abandon my old fursona. Aeyote was me for 2 long years. Heck, I named my FA after her. It's a handle I will keep and Aeyote will stay. She may go through some tweaks still x3 But generally I'm happy with her design.
8: Do you have a back story for your fursona, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?
I've yet to really get around to making much of a backstory. If and when I do, I will probably take parts from my own and mesh it in.
9: Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
