....i've had the flu for a while and have been slowly dying. But FYI I do LOVE the thing's I've been commished. They're very fun and I'm excited to work on them. I currently can't afford refunds cause life stuff happened.

With the exception of  digilord who won the YCH animation. Due to the fact that I stopped animating around the time he won I haven't been able to work on it. I AM NOT QUITTING just so ya know, I just want to make sure it was worth it. I dont wanna half ass it. But I am VERY sorry for the wait.


I felt like you guys deserved an update on the situation.

So I had to switch the Mass Effect animation to a Mass Effect animatic.

Unfortunately I think this will be too much to do on my own so I'm going to need some help from anyone who is able and willing to spare their time.

Color Keys would be given as will reference with a colored script similar to a Pixar uses.

The goal was to get this completed before March 21st. So if anyone is able or willing to help out please email me at alorix[at]live.com titled colorist and have a reference of some of your work.

For the record this is just me seeing if anyone else is interested in doing this I'm not begging or forcing anyone and I hope it doesn't come off that way thanks for your time

UPDATE

So after talking to someone they recommended I cut the animation from 6 min to 3. Issue with that is I’ve started adding more story to it, so I can’t cut anything. But maybe I’m thinking about this wrong. Because of that I decided to change it from an animation to an animatic.

That’ll free up a LOT more time....I hope. I’ve also altered the story a bit.



New summery.

“Revvi and her boyfriend Matthew, are shown to be very close as well as a great match. One day Revvi is requested at the Citadel Presidium. She is greeted by an older female turian named Julicar Vrol (who is a high ranking political/military figure for the turians). Vrol request that Revvi hand in her omni-disk to the turian military.

Of course Revvi refuses but as the conversation continues Vrol makes mention that her gangster daughter was killed at the hands of a very specific bounty hunter. Exclaiming that she isn’t one for revenge Vrol does make mention of ‘poetic justice’.

Having enough of military people for one day and leaves. As she heads back home she notices and update to the bounty bored: Three Million credits for a human boy named Matthew, Revvi’s boyfriend!

Will Revvi and Mathew be able to escape the Citadel with every bounty hunter and C-Sec officer after them?”



I feel this this is a more interesting plot than the ‘I will find you, and I will kill you” Taken plot. Now there will only be about 4 maybe 5 characters. That’s my limit. This project has to be doable before the Release date of Mass Effect Andromeda.

There might be more changes while developing it at work. But until then...

Ok So Mass Effect Andromeda comes out March 21. And to get on the hype and shit I wanted to do a Mass Effect Animated short.

IT would have to be about 6 min and wouldn’t be an incredible piece of animation cause it’s…my first animation.

Now I used Pixar’s 4th rule of story telling to get the basic story with my OC Revvi




”Once upon a time there was turian bounty hunter named Revvi.

Every day, she would call her human boyfriend and sometimes even sleeps at his house (and with him).

One day a military politician threatened her to hand over her unique tools, The omni-disk.

Because of that, he kidnapped her boyfriend.

Because of that, Revvi attacked the politician s office.

Until finally she had to make a very difficult decision (Which lets the viewer lick the ending video they want).”



Now…I’m wondering if this is too complicated a story, which is Pixar’s 5th rule: “ Simplify. Focus. Combine characters. Hop over detours. You’ll feel like you’re losing valuable stuff but it sets you free.”

I could make a new story that’s simpler, but the reason I thought one was good was because the conflict emotionally affects the protag, Revvi.

Yea, So I started back on  digilord's YCH animation after nearly a MONTH or not doing animations and damn....It feels so weird and hard. I'mma need more practice cause....fuck...

Glad I'm not doing more YCH animations. I feel like i'd let ppl down.

So I started a pic with mythological creatures that aren't often heard of. The two I have are the Ammit and the Questing Beast.
