So totally heading to bed now, but is it a bad day when you sit to do some therapeutic writing and the first thing that comes to mind is a Super Mutant raping a human? Does it change the thought if she enjoys it?? Does it matter if he is mostly sentient?

I need to shake the dust out of my head and play less Fallout.

Still alive, I swear. Dealing with a lot of RL drama bullshit as usual. Not sleeping as much as I should. Blargh.

On the plus side I am writing again! Back to my good old roots in fanfic, but this time just using their universe and my characters. My even eventually be happy enough with it to post - which is a dramatic change considering lately I haven't wanted to post anything at all.

My writing is getting worse, I think. My tone is meandering all over the place and it can't decide if I am writing as myself or another character in my head. I've been a lot more rapid cycle lately and I really think it is affecting my writing - I can clearly tell what I'm doing when I'm up and when I'm down... huge world of difference that makes it tough to finish anything.

And only being able to write late at night or in short bursts isn't helping matters, but you know - doing the whole mommy gig takes a bit of time. :P Thinking about bringing the old notebook out of retirement though and starting to at least work by hand when I can.

Honest, tooth pain and RL drama up the whazoo aside I do live. And in Arizona.

Have been distracting myself perhaps too much with Second Life (check me out Chealsea Guardian over there - not furry though... just VERY friendly hee) and writing tiny bits here and there. Mostly just trying to keep life running sound.

I'm WAY behind on arts!! But I did just add a delicious piece of gift art by the uber ultra amazing talented  maverick that you should all go adore. Hee.

I'm still around, just not really reading much or feeling social - I'll try and go through my notes and stuff tomorrow.

I've just got a lot on my mind right now and the stress is kind of getting to me. Trying to avoid pretty much everything right now. It'll pass as always.

This sort of thing often seems to occur to me when I'm up with a migraine at off hours.

I assume Steve Purcell is aware that Sam and Max porn exists - I mean, it would be difficult as a fairly popular mainstream artist to not assume it's been done, particularly with such... eh... friendly, characters. That said, I find myself wondering if he takes as most who end up slashed seem to - mild amusement and utter avoidance. I've found in the instances (particularly in slash fandom as opposed to furry fandom) artists, actors, writers, etc. , are confronted with adult situations they did not create themselves it's pretty much how it rolls.

Of course, then in occurs to me that even in the (exceptionally unexpected) event that he (or anyone else for that matter, I'm just messing with Sam and Max in my head today) actually DID take major offense to the porning up of their characters it probably wouldn't really bother me - after all, a large part of public display is the art of parody.

Which really sets me up for the "slash is parody" rambling that I really can't get into at the moment due to tiredness.

Which just makes me want to write more Sam and Max porn. Seriously.

Seriously though, writing with a purpose and deadline is beating my ass - even though it's a loose format and easy deadline. I suck.

I was reading some of my old m/m stuff to get me back into the groove of writing it again... my style is so drastically different than it was three years ago I almost don't recognize it any more. I mean, I know I wrote it - I remember writing it but it just doesn't sound like my new work at all.
