I have a rare opportunity that I would like to share with some people here. I want first pick to go to any of my friends that might be interested. Second pick would go to anyone that replies to this journal post.

An old friend of mine told me that he wanted to do a project with me. He's a computer animator of various talents, and he wanted to take one of my short stories and make an animated short out of it. I decided to go with the short story "Dragons Go Car Hunting" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1643475/). However, the story is two years old and I want to rework it before it goes into any sort of real animation production. Not only that, it needs to be reformatted as a sort of script he can use.

What this means to everybody. I wanted to do something really interesting, and use real dragons in this particular story (minus the main character). I haven't decided how many other dragons and all will be in this short, but I know I'm going to have at least one more. Also, since there is going to be dialog in this, there may be a chance to be your own voice actor. Now how cool would that be? Hmm?

I can't make any guarantees, on completion or quality, but I know one thing is for sure, I'm going to darn well make this script. So, sign up, use yourself, use your character, tell your friends, fill my darn journal with volunteers!

If you are going to volunteer someone, please include some sort of character sheet link, picture link, or description. Then please give me a summary of what you / the character acts like. If you have other questions go ahead and ask them, I'll do my best to answer. If you don't feel comfortable posting it here, send me a note.

I should have known. So far on FurAffinity, my most viewed story is my children's story. Maybe I should look at a career of children's books. Weird how that happens.

Still though, my FurAffinity readership pales in comparison to my SoFurry readership. It's like FurAffinity doesn't know how to read. Also weird how that happens.

Sadly the post for Saturday of Invading Will shall be late. I will be at my grandfather's funeral on Friday, and won't be home until Monday. I know some of you might think this is some sort of sick April Fool's day joke. I wish it was, sadly I'm a Pall-bearer at this thing. I'll miss the guy.

I had hoped to have a book published before any of my grandparents passed on, but sometimes life doesn't always give you what you want does it? Oh well. I'll post you the chapter on Monday or Tuesday and then continue normal posting from there.

Well darn. I was looking at my old novel, Invading Will, the one I plan on posting up on here and SoFurry. If I do it by chapters, I figure I'll make everyone's eyes bleed because of how long the chapters are. The first chapter, is roughly as long as the entire Duty story. So we're going to try something a little different. I'm going to try posting sections of each chapter to break it down to manageable bits.

Now I know you're thinking, "Oh my gosh, it's going to take forever this way." Not true! Well, okay, if I did, it would take like almost two years if I did a section per week. However, for a limited time only, I'll be posting like double time. So that way you'll see the story unfold quite a bit quicker. I just don't know what my posting days are going to be and a few other details. Oh well, I'll figure that out pretty soon I hope. Anyway get ready for a new story. Yay!

Alright, I've been posting the Duty short story series so far. I can already tell that I can't stop this story after we reach the end of this current series. Certain people would most likely kill me if I leave the story where it is right now. (Granted there are still a few more chapters to go at this point, and those are complete and waiting for posting.) Because of this, and because I kind of like this story anyway, I will be working on continuing it.

This does come at a price. To finish that story, I've got to put a ton of work into it. I can already tell it's going to be a big one my friends, I suspect even a novel length story. Last time I really worked on a novel it took years. Of course I've gotten better since then, but still, going to take a while.

Good news though! Since I realize this is going to take a while, I've come to a rather important decision: I will be releasing my first novel here and on other sites where I post my work. Bear in mind It's not my best work, but it should be interesting. There are a lot of humans in it too, but one of the main characters is a dragon, so I hope that will be alright.

There's a long road ahead of me, but I dare say it will be a fun one. Onward, to victory, to novels, and to publishing!

I've been on FA for a while now. I've got several stories up here too, and they have been read. However, I started posting my latest short story on SoFurry, and I've already had over 150 people look at my chapter 1 there vs. 30ish here. Now that's pretty darn awesome. My advice, post in both places, but don't expect much from FurAffinity.

Today in my little corner of Arkansas, we're having a record shattering 15+ inches of snow. That's like double the highest I've ever seen it in this area. Also, this is the second deepest snowfall of my life. I'm darn impressed.

I'm also darn snowed in. Man it's pretty though.

Here's what I understand so far. My Grandfather has Alzheimer's disease. At this point he can barely talk at all, and doesn't recognize anyone but his wife. Yesterday morning my Grandmother tried to get him out of bed and he just couldn't. So, in a panic she called an ambulance. They came out and decided to take him in to the hospital about 30 minutes away. (In the midst of one of the worst snow storms in several years by the way.)

When he got there, the doctors at first thought he would be ok and wanted to send him home after a few tests. My Grandmother wanted him to stay there a while longer and convinced the doctors to do so. Well, after a day's worth of observation the hospital wants to move my Grandfather to Hospice. Now you know roughly what I do now, minus the details of tests and whatnot.

My mother is extremely agitated as you could believe. She wants to take a trip up there right now. Of course the roads from here to there are snow packed and travel is going to be slow, slow, slow. Since I don't have a job, no thanks to my previous employer, I'll get to head up there most likely and help my parents out with all this. Who knows what'll happen, but I figure things are not going to be looking up for that part of the family for a while.

I got this little coupon in the mail from a local book store here in town. I like books and the other stuff they sell there, so I went in to pick something up. Well I wandered the books and movies, but in the end I didn't get anything.

I walked through the science fiction and fantasy section. Shelves and shelves of stories lined the place. I know what they had to get through to get something on those shelves, but they did it and I have not. This will change, this will most certainly change.

Alright, I'll admit it. I'm having some writer's block. Well, that's not entirely correct either, more like writer's hesitation or something. I've got a bunch of stuff finished that I don't know what to do with. But first the main point, and where you can definitely help me out.

I've got this novel I've finished. It's pretty bad as far as a general whole honestly, although I think it might have some worth in it. I would like to give you a few random chapters of this story and let me know what you think. It will be some of the later chapters because the first ones are the worst. I just need to know what you think about the whole thing. Just send me a note if you are interested.

Tomorrow I'll leave to Illinois for an undetermined amount of time. I will probably be gone for about a week, though it's hard to say for certain. I really don't want to go, but what can you do you know?

Just after midnight tonight, I stepped into the NaNoWriMo Winner's Circle. I completed my novel of 50,399 words. Oh it feels darn good to get something so big, done, so fast. Granted it's all pretty terrible stuff, but rawr! Fear this dragon, my pen is mighty!

Now to work on everything else. >.>

I just got a call that my "editor" finished my manuscript. I haven't even heard anything about how it turned out, but I am sure it's going to be bad. In the past six months of not working on my book, I've had a lot of time to think and ponder about it. I think there are going to be some major changes to the world it occurs in and the entire storyline as well.

In other news, in a couple days I'll have my NaNoWriMo novel finished. I'm sitting at 47,000ish words right now, and nearly finished with the big climax to the story. Then just a couple short chapters of wrapping things up. I'm toying with the idea of rewriting that pile of junk (because it is) and then looking at publishing it through some of the furry publishers. It might be publishable material after I give it a total makeover, who knows?

Also, I've got another story I hope to have finished up for you and spread out through the world here pretty soon. I just need to do some editing on it, and then get my commissioners to actually finish their work. Only one has done it so far. If you need something done, go talk to  kiguren, she'll finish the job and do a good job too.

Yay for updates huh? Anyway, I'm going to go do... something... I don't know what it is, but I'm going to go do it.

I don't know how they decided that this was going to be a story worth showing on the silver screen. The special effects were pretty nice, and the aliens were interesting. That's about all that's good in the movie I thought. The story is just bad. There were several errors in it, and if I can catch them you know it's pretty obvious. Then you've got the aliens, everything was cool till they decided to turn on "God Mode" and then you just sort of give up on the movie. The last ten minutes are just stupid in my opinion. I'll not ruin it, but I think they already did.

I garuntee you, I can make a better alien movie. On my own, with NO BUDGET.

Don't watch it, wait for it to come out on Netflics or something.

Now, back to writing, yay!

Alright guys, it's been five days now since the beginning of NaNoWriMo, so that means time for a check in.

So far I've written over 7,800 words. That's actually quite a lot in the space of five days. Of course, that's just numbers though isn't it? So what if we do something more interesting and I give you a synopsis of what's going on.

Our hero, Chad, heads over to meet with a friend from a magic club to get some things. His friend lets Chad into the apartment and Chad heads up to the place. When he gets there, his friend is dead. Turns out though that the murderer is still in the apartment too! Scary! Chad manages to hide, and get away. Chad then goes to see Blake, his best friend. Chad picked up what was supposed to be his things while he was at the murder site, but it turns out to be something totally different. Illegal plans for the magical defense of the city, which means that if anyone finds out that Chad has the stuff, he's in deep trouble. Now Chad and Blake have decided to solve the murder themselves, because otherwise Chad is going to get locked away for a long time. To make matters worse, the police already believe that Chad did it, hurray for tough luck huh?

Next week, who knows what'll happen. I haven't even gotten that far yet. Shoot, I haven't planned that far. Anyway, cheer on any writer that's participating in this NaNoWriMo event. Take it from me, this is no easy task at all. >.< Thanks for checking the journal though, I appreciate your support, now back to the writing.

Alright, I've got my short story series more or less complete. There might be some small edits here or there, but I think its vaguely done.

What I need your help in though is some pictures. I want to get some pictures made up from different scenes in the story, and I'd like to commission a few people to do it. In fact, I'd like to get nine different artists, one for each chapter.

Now for the bad news. The budget for this ambitious project is a little small. Not having a job has made that a bit of a pressure, but this is something I want to do. So despite this hurtle, I'm going to do it. So, know any artists that do commissions for around $5?

Oh my gosh, why am I doing this? It's day two of the writing month, and to finish 50,000 by the 30th I should be at 3,334 words. I'm at 1,715. I spent all of yesterday planning what I am going to do with this novel. The worst part is that so far, all I've writen is junk.

I don't know how to write a mystery, and I'm beginning to think that it's rather obvious in this project. I've started though, so I better not stop. I figure when I get this thing finished, I'll just throw it all up here and be done with the thing. Maybe it will make sense to someone out there.

On a totally random side note, I watched "How to Train Your Dragon" the other day. Awesome movie, but I didn't need to tell you that, you already know that right?

Alright, so I've decided to give NaNoWriMo another try this year. The last time I participated was back in 2008, where I wrote something like 48,000 words in the month out of the 50,000. Darn it all. This year I plan to write a totally brand new story. I'm still planing it and plotting it and stuff, so I don't know the details. I better hurry on that since November is just a few days away.

Anyway, I was wondering if you guys thought I should share the work once I get it finished? Maybe I should wait and see how it turns out before I just start throwing it all over the internet though. I might be able to get it published. Of course it could be trash too, who knows. Anyway, just thought I would let everyone know that I've got a big month coming up. Lots of work to do, hurray.

Hurray. I finished a rewrite of the first chapter. Totally different dirrection for the first couple of chapters for my upcoming "Duty" short series, but it still ends up the same way. It's nice to actually have finished something again. Besides, I have to keep moving otherwise I'll never get all this other stuff done will I?

When you don't have a job, it is a challenge to write. At least it is for me. I did manage to get some in today, but darn I am running way behind. Maybe tomorrow I can play catch up some more.

Without going into any sort of identifiable details and whatnot...

I've been fired by my employer. The reason I've been fired is apparently "misappropriation of company assets", or in other words they think I stole stuff. They have decided through some mystical crystal ball that I don't charge enough design time to their customers, and so in addition to fireing me, make me pay for all this lost time.

End result, I now have no job, a record of theft, and I owe $6,300 to them. That's what you get for hard work, careing for your customers, and trying to be the best employee you can be. Why in the world do I even try anymore after so many failures?

Hey, check it out. You might have noticed already, but my front page has changed a little bit. Neat huh? I got a bit tired of the old version, and figured that front page is a bit of the world that I could use for something semi useful maybe. Besides its fun to tease people about what's coming up isn't it?

Now I'm still working on editing my “Duty” project. Its taking a little longer than I expected, but what else is new eh? I find that the more I write, the more I have to improve upon. That's not really a bad thing though, but it makes editing an absolute nightmare. Oh well, I'll get this done eventually.

Anyway, since “Duty” is nearly completion, I'm starting to look ahead to the next project. Right now I have a rough outline and a general idea about the world the story is going to occur in. Its quite a bit different from what I usually write, modern alternate universe stuff is pretty cool. Ok, so maybe I'll do a little more sci-fi too. I'm not really sure what the genera is that it'll be in, but that doesn't matter, I like the story so blah.

Now I've been thinking about this particular story. Its based on a character I saw something like a month ago, and I plan on building it off of them. However, since I've got this one character in it, what's a few more right? So I'm toying with the idea of asking for volunteers to join in and be a character in this story. I've not decided if I will or not, because this might make the story way too weird, or complicated. Who knows though, I might need your help in the future. Exciting huh?

Well, I've been posting an old project up the last several weeks. Sadly I only have one more chapter of it left. That's the bad news.

Good news is that I've been working on a brand new series. Even better for the couple people that even dare read it, its going to be a complete series. I start at chapter one (a good thing probably) and end at chapter ten. It may be a couple week before I start getting it up here though, since I plan on doing some editing on it before it arrives.

There's a chance that I'll continue it later on, or expand on it, but as it stands right now the story is done. Now for those of you that have read this far, which I suspect is almost no one, how often would you like to see the chapters arrive? I've been doing once a week. However, having it finished, I could upload it once a day, twice a week, once every blue moon. You tell me what you think, how often do you want to read my stuff?
