i am on there. Unlike Bluesky it has very little in common with twitter, plus you can format your posts, and i mean really format them, just search the tag "CSS crimes". I've seen friends that stopped posting on twitter years before elon flourish there, it feels like a very healthy place to be.

Hey, getting close to two thousand watchers. Given as i've been here for almost half my life i wonder how many of those are still active accounts

While reviewing things i've drawn instead of drawing new things, i've noticed some pages have comments hidden by, well, me i guess. It says "comment hidden by page owner", and i don't think i've done that in a long time, or if ever. What's up with that? did i do that accidentally or something? These are pages i've had up for a year or more, so maybe?

I've got a huge muggle commission to work on, though really I've had it for three weeks it's just I thought I'd be done by now. It didn't help that I was given an unrealistic deadline and for some godawful reason I agreed to it. It was supposed to be a birthday gift I guess. Turns out unrealistic deadlines have the opposite of the effect they're meant to have, tho.

Until that's done, likely all you'll see from me is stuff I draw when I'm too drunk to work on this commission.

So for the longest time I've avoided faving porn, and I'm really not sure why. I don't think it was ever embarrassment, being as I got into drawing porn in order to exhibit what I think furry porn should look like. I think what I was doing was trying to exhibit music and clean stuff just because it doesn't quite get the attention of something as intrinsically "useful" as pornography. But I was more popular back in aught-eight and aught-nine so now I'm not really helping anyone by faving their stuff, but I can at least let them know I like it and it can sit there in a gallery of things I like.

So yeah, sorry to all those whose porn I never favorited. I will start doing that now.

This is a very underrated site and it has not been mentioned once in any of the conversations I've heard about all the alternatives to FA. Please go check it out. It's old, pre-dates FA and used to go by the name Yiffstar. It's geared towards writing as much as art, has that old-school feel to it that is one of only two reasons I still use FA, and the staff is real nice. I've been using it since 2008 so this is the only other place to see my old old stuff that I didn't upload to those other three sites.

FA won't be the first place I post anymore, nor will it be the only place I upload scraps. If I'm lazy enough not to post on all five sites at the same time, Sofurry will probably be the first.

My monitor, a ten-year-old Gateway, has an unusual color control panel that I'm still trying to adjust to see what I'm coloring roughly what it's going to look like on other monitors. Do any of my recent pictures look weird?

Also I am so tired of monitors having the brightness and contrast buried with the other controls. The Apple monitors I grew up with all had individual sets of buttons on the front for the brightness and contrast, because that's what you adjust depending on the light. Why did we stop that. How expensive are buttons. This monitor has five unlabeled buttons on the side, and where I expect the menu button to be is the channel button.

Welp, in the midst of everyone talking about and a scant few people actually doing, leaving FA, that is, I am going to try and join another furry network. Furry Network, which is currently in beta. That makes five sites I'm on now, which is only doable because I only post something once every few weeks. It's a pain in the ass frankly, but if there's one thing I can't stand it's bitchy artists and I must try not to be one myself, especially being as I'm non-productive and not actually that good at this. At least I'd like to think I can reserve the use of some colorful language for myself.

F.A. will still be my main site, because this is the only site where I get any attention. I am a whore for your comments and favs. That endorphin release is legitimate. And frankly I don't give a damn how it's run, it works, furs are here, and I don't need the extra frills.

Ink is something I can do on only on small, simpler, or more stylized pictures. Almost all of my pictures are pencil.

Commissions will turn out cleaner and brighter then what I usually post, the rough look of what I've posted this year has largely been a stylistic choice.

Because I'm still half a traditional artist, there will be a physical version of your line-art on 11 by 14 paper, though this may be dirtier than the digital version.

I'm working on a few pictures, but I'm been making a lot of pizzas. Two people at my tiny restaurant have quit, so I had to pick up a lot of shifts, I can only train one dude at a time, and I only got someone five days after the two other dudes left. But those two people were huge pains in my ass that I couldn't get rid of. So that's made things nice and easy. 105 hours on one paycheck!

I love it when someone faves a picture I did nine years ago and then it makes the rounds again. Also holy Jesus I started doing this ten years ago. And my absence was pretty much half of that.

Was every journal an advertisement five years ago? The only person I watch who regularly actually writes something not self-promotional in this little box is Karno. Should I be self-promoting too? I've heard bloggers and vloggers say such things as "I'm not being a good promoter", as if it's a virtue. Or, something that's almost certainly correct despite what I'd prefer to believe, necessary to "make it." Then again I've never really wanted to "make it" nor am I sure what that entails.

Probably I should focus on doing what I do in the first place and worry about telling people about it later.

Hi F.A. Hi however many of my watchers still hold the accounts that watch me. So I've been drawing again for the last three or four months, I've been drawing all along but I've just been filling up those pocket sketchpads and drawing shit on the back of receipts at bars. I decided to color some of my dicks on index cards and posted them on my also moribund afterdark twitter account, and then suddenly I found myself finishing some of the full-page drawings I do, of which in the last five years I've probably started two hundred, finished a dozen.

If I revive this moribund account, and I also have started using the Inkbunny account I set up four years ago, I might be able to keep it up.

Maybe I been drawing more recently, can't tell. Certainly no polished color pictures are coming outta me soon, but I will scan my sketchbooks from the last four years to see what is worth showing you guys. I might color some of it. Some is porn, some is architecture and cars. Also: maybe music. I've been messing around with a midi program in an attempt to learn to read sheet music and recreate the music that gives me chills.

After I do that, prepare for a massive mental dump. I can only describe my work now as being deposited upon you in the same way a mainframe deposits its memory contents upon disk after a massive crash.

Penn Gryphon: You're getting a refund and a picture. When I'm not broke. I apologize that yours was the commission on the line when I had a massive two-year-long nervous breakdown*. Funny that I've withstood much tougher shit since the shit that caused that breakdown without breaking down.

*I did at least solve my weight problem at the same time. Went from 190lbs to 118 due to not eating. Neither of these are good numbers unfortunately, I have a better number now, 135.

I couldn't give a crap which way a kangaroo's junk goes on, the real question is, should I draw anthro birds with teeth or not?
