Okay
Posted 4 months agoApparently I got a threatening email from admins like 2 months back that 3 of my photos had the incorrect 'Photography' tag and that they changed it for me but no action is being taken against me, for now. Lol, okay there Admins, calm down.
SecondLife Fashion
Posted 3 years agoWhat can I say, a lot of my time lately has been spent in SecondLife with long time friends and when not with them, immersed in fashion events and digging about for unique looks. Aio is genderfluid, usually presenting as herm, but any thing is possible if the mood is right. Right now I'm working as at GigaBytes in SecondLife. GB is staffed by a lot of fun folk who are very knowing. I always enjoy participating in the events there. My current skunky self has gone through at least three different iterations. I have plans on expanding that a bit, but I want to work from a good base first. Not that I mind showing off what I think looks cool. Also testing my hand at using PaintShop Pro to make more presentable photos and screen caps. I have Black Dragon installed, but at the moment, I do not have it set up well enough to take a decent shot. Tasks for later I guess.
If you see me walking about in SecondLife, feel free to say hi. I'm usually out and about shopping or at events browsing. See ya there!

Okay, slowly pushing myself back in...
Posted 8 years ago...to photography! My wife had some major surgery in mid February (corrected month of surgery) and I'm being told I have a degenerate something or other in my back, but now with the meds in order I am going to be able to get back out for more pictures, I hope. Got a few spots picked out, just need to see how it goes. Will probably not get many critter shots, but a lot of stills and landscape photos aren't are terrible thing, right?
Further Confusion 2017
Posted 8 years agoBout to head down that way and get to the hotel for FC. I'll bring my camera, but I'm not sure how many pictures I'll be taking.
It's raining it's pouring...
Posted 8 years agoAnd this skunk is snoring! I haven't had a chance for much 'out on walk' photography as it's usually been pretty wet outside. I lack an otterbox for my phone and a protective box for my big camera so it's been kind of slow in the photography department. I was going to get some shots of the Christmas tree that was put up in the dining room, but I couldn't get the damned ISO and exposure settings right to do a decent 'star burst' effect on the lights. One day, I shall learn these tricks!
1 year and some odd months update...

Moving
Posted 10 years agoCome April 27th, I will be living in northern California going to my new job!
This is the project that neeeeever ends!
Posted 15 years agoIt's almost been a year now on this series of projects at work. For the love of fuck I want it to end so I can get back to my usual tasks and not my usual tasks, AND THE PROJECT. Benefit of having a job I guess. The whole house smells like Vanilla, and for some reason I find that totally relaxing. Helps that I have vanilla clove cigs too...
Been debating getting a fursuit... Would help with a certain fear.

Sept 28 -Concert- Dragonforce, Sonata Arctica & Taking Dawn
Posted 16 years agoAh yes, looking forward to this day. It will be a 4 to 5 hour drive up to Kansas City to view this show but it will be worth it. Rummy Bunny volunteered to go with me (and probably handle the gas/tolls if needed) so I don't go alone. He went with me to the Nightwish / Volbeat concerted in OKC back in May.
Wonder if I should mohawk my hair for this. Might need poster paste for that.

New Camera!
Posted 16 years agoI gots da new camera finally. Olympus E-620. I picked up a 2G xD card and a 32G smartcard as the memory for it. Overstock had two batteries for cheap and I got a new bag for it too. I saved up a bit to make these purchases but I figure if I am going to take this into a 'serious' hobby status, I need to get the equipment, which I now have, and I need to make the time, which I am doing.
So many things to remember with the new camera. I do appreciate the 'OMG the face!' feature though. It does have a massive array of readouts on the lil display panel, including ISO, shutter speed, appeture setting, among other things. Much to get used to. Anyone know where i can get a decent flash for it?
I figure a hobby will help me worry less, as I am spending too much time worrying about stupid bullshit at work. Although getting bronchitis one week and then food poisoning the next has done NOTHING for my self esteem, lol.
Last friday shall be my new attempt to stop smoking, at least cigarettes. I figure if I keep the pipe to a minimum, before mentioned health issues shall not be so ready to visit.
BTW, NetFlix streaming to XBox 360 is the shit, I've watched 7 movies today on it. Why is it the HD movies are all horrible crap?

My Kitchen Can't Survive Me
Posted 17 years agoThings that were either broken prior to or broken during my attempt to make Thanksgiving dinner for mom when she visited:
- Magic Bullet Blender (My mashed potatoes killed it)
- Oven coil
- Oven thermastat
- Front right stove coil
- Can opener (it was really old)
- One pot
- One wine glass
I swear to all that's mephit I don't suck at cooking, I just have not been having much luck with things breaking down lately. Two weeks ago I had the torque converter in my Mustang replaced. Only paid $100, thank you after market warranty. Transmission fluid flush cost a bit tho. Had to get a flat fixed. My toilet had to be fixed too cause of that weird stopper thing last month. one of the lines on my dishwasher had a seal break.
If I can go a month without something breaking, I shall be happy. Hopefully the microwave won't kill me. Other than the fatty foods I have it churn out...

20 July 1950 - 17 August 2008
Posted 17 years agoMy father passed away in his sleep sometime around 4am today.
I'm three hours away from my parents.
The last 20+ years of his life were spent in near constant pain.
1990 - Upper spinal surgery (replaced 3 with synthetics)
1992 - Broken nose while on duty
1994 - Lowers spinal surgery (only discs replaced)
1995 - Accident cuts off tips of some fingers
1997 - My brother dies
2000 - Liver transplant
2002 - Three hernia operated on
2005 - Another hernia operation
2007 - Glacostomy *sp?* bag, 3 different types of cancers detected
2008 - Lymph cancer diagnosed, terminal (January?)
I cry that he's gone, and there will be things he will not get to see. If I get married, have kids, things like that. But part of me is glad he's no longer in pain. His mind had slipped the last two months and he called me on my birthday (August 1st) and simply said, "Happy birthday." In the background I could hear him asking mom who was it he was speaking to and why he had to call.
I love you dad, and rest well. You've earned it.

Dad has less than a year
Posted 17 years agoI'm not in the best of moods. My dad's health keeps getting worse and worse. Mom and I never said it until today, but we both don't think he's going to make it a year. More shit keeps piling up on him and he's trying so hard to fight it off, but a man can only do so much, even with morbidly expensive medications. I don't know what to think. If I write about it a lil, it helps. The more I think about it, the more it hurts. Drama drama drama.
Life in General and Insomnia
Posted 17 years agoLet's make this quick. Monday morning (1am) mom called, dad in hospital again. He was unable to say who he was and where he was. He was admitted with kidney failure, blockage in his intestines, and several other things I'm not gonna mention. He's slowly been getting better of the course of this week, but this month has not been a good month for him or me.
Why am I not doing much photography? Well, life has been a bitch, moving, new job, and trying to get out more and find places to actually take photos. I am doing a website for a local tobacco shoppe. IM me if you wanna see it. Been trying to get around the sites of Tulsa more, lots more to do than back in Lawton.
I have had a cold since Wednesday I think. Sore, achy, queasy, all the fun stuff. Teaching myself Ruby in my spare time and am going to a Ruby convention this Saturday. Only really going because they're offering a lecture about what to expect of Ruby if you're a perl/php scripter. That and it's free.
Bugs all over house, ants, flying ants, aunt ants. They're getting sprayed but it doesn't help the sleep either.
Mom and I got in a fight over cell phone bill earlier in week. Fight quickly fixed self and we both apologized to each other.
Have anime I still haven't watched, and still want to get a series called, Monster.
Time to take the meds that make me sleep. Later all.

Dad diagnosed with malignant cancer
Posted 17 years agoI called my dad Saturday to check up on him. I do this weekly after he had the glacostomy (sp?) bag put in and didn't heal properly. He had the bag put in cause of deterioration of his colon. Not going into detail with that one. Anyways, this time when I called him, asking to see what the results of his latest test were, I was presented with this news. Apparently they found something around his colon that is cancer and is malignant. I'm not sure how long he has left, he didn't seem worried but I'm not sure if that is for my sake. They start him on chemo (again) immediately. He has been making all the arrangements for finances for my mom. It's kinda depressing to talk about this over the phone and not in person. He's finally retiring medically, something I begged him to do for the past five years.
So this is where I am. Half of me is upset at the news, the other half feels 'odd' because I've seen him in near constant pain for the past decade.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Gun Show In Tulsa
Posted 17 years agoNow, in Tulsa this weekend is gun show. Normally I wouldn't go to these things. Namely because of the atmosphere. If you ever want a concentrated dose of Oklahoma, come visit a gun show here. Why am I going? I got some 'VIP Passes'. That and a girl I know is going to be there because her grandfather has some stature as a gunsmith, so she goes too. I did work for the government at one point, but most of this work revolved around mortars rockets and arty. I know stuff about those weapons. Handguns and rifles? I'm just gonna have to stare and nod at lot at this show if someone corners me.
Traffic Accident!
Posted 17 years agoWell, I got into my first traffic accident today. Thankfully it was a 'tiny' accident. He wasn't going more than 10MPH. Got rear ended. Did almost NO damage to my bumper, his hood looks like some fat kid sat down on it and left butt prints. Tiny dings on it, bout it. I got out, went back to check. Guy got out too. Very lil damage. I asked him if he was okay, and then said I was okay. I drive an SUV. He was driving a sedan. Even though we could get in trouble for not waiting around for the cops, we both decided there wasn't enough damage (a butt print on his hood and scratches to my bumper) to even bother waiting. We both just nodded and drove off.
Now, I know I'll probably get crap from someone I tell about this for not sticking around for the police. However, a police report, insurance costs increase and annoyances for such a minor incident are not worth it in my opinion.
Feel free to berate me at your leisure. Take care all!

I April Fooled Myself!
Posted 17 years agoI went to pay rent at apartment office. Took keys with me. I had stopped back in my own apartment to get checkbook. I took checkbook and keys to office, expecting to get mail on my way back. I pay rent. I stop by mailbox thinking, "Doh, left keys upstairs." I hear Hellgate playing on my computer and go, "Oh yeah, gotta log in." Looking for keys 4 hours later... I left them in apartment complex's main office... The maint staff and the security staff don't have keys to that ONE OFFICE I had stopped in to pay...
Fuck me. ;p
Fuck me. ;p
Pain in the Ass
Posted 17 years agoWell, not necessarily my ass, but my lower back, right side, FOR THE LAST THREE FUCKING WEEKS, NONSTOP. I thought at first it was just bad sleeping. Back feels great, cept there. I guess now that I've been here in Tulsa for about six months, I should find a doctor. Get it checked out... If it's a kidney stone, I'm gonna auction it off or something. Get your own skunk stones!
Lighter note, I've been trying the dating scene a bit in Tulsa. Much better variety than in Lawton. And I can wear my HIM shirt without getting funny looks! Been practicing my photography, nothing new... No mountains nearby so I'm still looking for new places.
I got a copy of Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. Do not buy that game. I finished it in 6 hours, easy. The only hard part was trying to board the blimp. Everything else was cake. The only thing I liked about that game was the custom 'environmental grapple', especially when I shoved some dude's head into the toilet he was just shitting in.
I am looking for a new icon! Anyone know of a good iconsmith?

MISSING FURSONS
Posted 17 years agoI usually don't do this, but I have been unable to locate or contact an individual now for at least the past 30 weeks. Various circumstances have made me begin to worry about the location of this person. I need help on this one.
If anyone has any information on the health and where abouts of one Jody Morgan, aka, jodyjm13, aka MephitisLotor, please contact me. I can't find anything that isn't newer than 2005.
