This means that I'll be uploading new artwork and opening for commissions exclusively on that account, so if you are interested in either, you're just a few clicks away from following me to my greener pastures! <3
For a duration (no longer than a couple weeks) I will still be posting to this account, though they will be horrendously cropped versions of my commissions with links to the full versions on my new account! This is just an additional measure to make sure folks don't miss my moving!

It was fantastic seeing old friends, meeting new ones, seeing my buddies do well in the dealer's den, and I even won a good chunk of cash at the craps table! Now that the dust has settled a bit, I'm aching to get back to work!

Posted 8 years agoHey y'all, I'm already off my self-enacted "new commission slots every two weeks" rule, but for good reason! I picked up a few shifts next week doing some consulting work in a local café, and I've got a few commissions from this last batch to finish up! Hopefully I'll find a little time to squeeze in a personal piece or two! <3
Overall though, that was about 15 commissions in the month of April, and I'm so excited I was able to even pull that off! I think my self-employment has a bright future ahead of it, which brings me to my next question! I'm considering grabbing, at the very least, an artist's alley table at this coming MFF (bless spiralstaircase for nabbing a room too!) and I'd love to have some merch available as well as commissions. There's a ton of stuff I've been considering, like enamel pins, keychains, stickers, postcard prints, and I've even got a few shirt ideas swimming around! Commissions aside, what sort of stuff do y'all like to grab at conventions like MFF? Because as much as I'd love to enact every idea I've conjured up, I'm afraid time may not permit me. :T

Posted 8 years agoEven though FA ain't fully equipped enough for me to just outright change up my username, I'm considering doing so! I think many of you have noticed that the name "Aixarata" is some absolute letter-salad and is hardly memorable, much less pronounceable. That's what I get for doing the whole "alternate porn account with a backwards name" thing!
So I guess this is kind of a survey to convince me one way or the other! What have you seen work and not work? Over how long of a period should the two cross over? Should I quit this account cold-turkey or post side-by-side for a small duration? Would love some input from y'all to make this whole move as smooth as possible.

For those paying attention, you may have noticed that my pacing for commission output and generally submitting things has slowed to a trickle over the past few months! It's been tough to find free time lately between work, music, and an ill-fated attempt to return to school (I tried coding and whoops it wasn't for me!), and so the pacing for my commissions hasn't felt ideal. Until more time opens up and things settle down, I'll be going on an extended break from commissions! I also want to take this time to chip away at drawing projects and ideas I've had on my backburner for a little bit, so hopefully we'll be seeing more of Red, Junip, Jules, etc in the future!

Over the past month I went and dealt with some job apathy and went and got a new one with benefits and all that (still just a coffeepassm tho).
I've been chipping away at a couple larger-scale commissions in the meantime.
And I'm hoping to open for slots again mid-May.
Also, I'll be at BLFC, so say hi if you happen to run into me!
And don't forget that 100k pageview kiriban. Keep yr eyes peeled.

Not going to be opening up for any slots this week just to give myself a little breather/work on music even more.
BUT you still have a chance to grab a slot from me!

Not going to be opening up for any slots this week just to give myself a little breather/work on music even more.
BUT you still have a chance to grab a slot from me!

And a quick heads up, THESE ARE NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I'm going to pick out slots Sunday night at around 7 (MST), so there's no immediate rush for you folks.
And since I want to take a little more time this week to write music (Hey! I write music!), these are going to be FLAT COLOR COMMISSIONS ONLY!
I have all my commission information compiled into one neat journal now! Please take care to read this before sending in a commission request!
