General | Posted 13 years agoSo, this morning I booted up my computer, ran around on the internet for 15 minutes, and then it shut off without warning.
I thought it may have been a problem with the power outlet, but when I plugged it into something else, I heard some loud pops and smelled smoke. Well, shit, that's not good.
I'm taking it into the Apple store in some attempt to revive it (but I'm sure they'll just tell me to buy a new one).
Luckily I have everything backed up, only problem is that it's backed up to Time Machine, so I'm kind of doomed to buy a Mac again (not that mine lasting for like 5 years was a bad thing).
Still, this sucks, and I'm not sure if me/my family has money to buy a new one right now. :(
So, art's delayed until I can get this shit sorted out.
At the very least, my classes are all reading intensive, so I can just focus on that for a bit.
EDIT: Went to the Apple Store and, just as everyone suspected, it's probably a power supply unit problem. They're working on replacing it at the moment, and it won't cost me anything too ridiculous.
Only weird thing was MANNING UP and telling the guy: "Hey, can you make a note to the person fixing it that the desktop background is NSFW? Thanks."
Hopefully this'll all pan out nicely and I can be back on my computer by Saturday. :')

I’ve been known to be willing to draw things like fisting, heavier-set folks, heavy bondage, and incest, but I may need a bit of convincing for these.
My fetish no-no’s are the usual; Waste, diapers, macro/micro, violence/gore, anything that squicks the average dude.
If you don’t see your particular fetish specified above, feel free to just ask what I’m willing to draw! I’m may be open than you think! ;V
And I’ll be perfectly honest; my female figures still need a bit of work. You can check out the rare examples here and here if you’d like to judge for yourself!

As for how I’ll be deciding who gets the slots, it’ll be primarily based off of my interest in the material, in addition to the characters, and whether or not you’ve bought a commission from me before (I do really appreciate returning customers, but let everyone have a chance!).
So, if you’re interested in a slot, send me a note with your references and a brief description of what you’d like, in addition to leaving a comment here, with something like “I’m interested and I sent a note.” If you’re chosen, we can use AIM or Skype to develop ideas and share details. FA’s note system is lovely, but it’s not the best for immediate results. :V
I’ll be taking three slots at a time, hopefully finishing them up before school starts up again on January 13th.

"Keeping Close" Self-Review

I don't consider it to be badly done, the shading, anatomy, and colors are more spot-on than anything else in my gallery. The gestures and expressions exude a sort of genuine love between these two, and in that I should be pleased with its result
So why am I kind of upset with how it turned out? Because I put them in the bed-void again. It's not unlike the Dragonball Z expansive fighting landscape: it serves as a mere backdrop for the subject, not lending anything to the narrative or setting, really. The bed void has become such a cop-out for me.
I keep looking and thinking, what else could I have done to lend to this? What else could have been included to dig deeper into their personalities? I'm looking around my own bedroom, and first and foremost, it is messy, not this neat and pristine ideal IKEA bedroom. Our bedsheets are somewhat mismatched; our pillows, sheets, and blanket all slightly different shades of blue. Our nightstands are adorned with seemingly random objects: a water bottle, earplugs, Zippo fuel, an umbrella with Seurat's "Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" printed on it. Background objects like this can say just as much about the subject as their pose or expression does.
So I have something to dwell on in the next coming weeks before I open for commissions. I've grown a bit tired of the usual pin-ups and sex scenes in the bed-void. I want to create narrative, I want to have a pin-up exist in a setting that lends to the picture, whether that be an added 'sexiness' or a creating a more genuine connection to the character.
Thanks for reading if you did, I think that was something I needed to just write out and get out there. Hopefully you should see some of this develop in the next coming months!

So, I had the endoscopy done, the doctors found some inflammation in my stomach lining and prescribed some lovely meds that have me on the mend, it seems.
