Ok, so i know i don't use this thing very ofthen, but i think this is an ocasion important enough to buck that trend.

See, I stumbled on this old game called Vivisector: Beast Within.

The reason i am sharing this with you, the furry community, is because this game is kind of full of anthropomorphic animals ( and IMO pretty good looking ones ). Saddly most seem to be enemies, but still...

Now i have to warn you this is a 2005 game so don't have too high expectations ( some lackluster outside enviroments, somewhat dated level and game designs, almost non existent story, stilted dialogue, very inverted difficulty curve, etc. ), but i can honestly say it has some of the best looking anthros i have seen in games to date. And despite it's drawbacks the game itself is perfectly playable ( on windows at least, your mailage may varry on anything else ).

It's sort of a 3D shooter that is a combination between Duke nukem 3D, Quake 2 and maybe a bit of Bioshock ( with a lot of Quake 2 aestethics ) set in an "Island of Dr. Monroe" scenario. And it is viollent and gory, so, maybe give this a pass if you are not old enough or the above mentioned adjectives are not your thing.

Now, this was not a very successfull game unfortunatelly... to the point that i am not aware of a single digital store that sells it. So asside from buying a physical copy... you're fresh out of luck if you would like to get it legally ( please correct me if I'm wrong, as I would like to purchase it digitally ).

And well, to cover my own a*s, i can't tell you how to actually get it otherwise... The only thing i can say is that "Google is your friend" ( in this matter at least ).

And having said that, I hope you will give it a shot. It's a bit rough around the edges, but i think it's worth it.

I have been thinking of changing it from the green he has now to a more red oriented one. ( basically replacing the all 3 green colors with a black-red-yelooh theme.

The reason for this is that i notice I tend to draw Draghi around vegetation a lot ( grass, trees, bushes, etc ) and he becomes rather hard to spot. ( and it wouldn't even breake the camouflage aspect... ( remember he is an alien and thus comes from a different world where reds and purples could be what the vegetation is like ).

What do you people think? Do you prefer his existing green look or would a change to red be interesting?

Like really? I have been around since preorders on it. ( joined Tyrian claws way back when it was announced that's where the people here on FA are going to go )...

But I never see any activity on the guild. There's members here and there but no chat what so ever.

It's a shame because I really like the game but it's a bit lonely playing it as a singleplayer game.

Well that might be too broad a subject, but more specifically, how do you deal with guilt over not being as worse off as other people ( ie starving kids in Africa or Nkorean peasants ) but still complaining ( or feeling like complaining ) about one's own situation? When ever I complain or bring up crappy things in my life, I'm reminded ( usually by my own brain ) that I could be paralyzed or blind or starving or worse... those being REAL reasons to be depressed about your life... but you just have that one "thing" to complain about.

Makes me feel like a complete douchebag for not feeling good about the things i do have... but it does make me feel worse. Like, on top of the misery brought by that thing that's making me miserable i have to bear with the guilt of feeling bad about that thing when others have so much more to worry about.

How do you deal with that?

Alright, so I noticed that it has been more then a year since my last journal post. Thinking it's about time to change that.

Sadly I really suck at this whole "being social" thing, so am not good at coming up with interesting journals. So let's try this instead:

I have been working on my comic for a while and have several arcs posted.

This might be the wrong place to ask this kind of question but....

How does it feel to be depressed? How do you know you are depressed and not just having a lousy time? Or that life in general doesn't just suck?

I see other people being happy... and I wonder how they can do that? Even when being worse off then one's self ( this also produces guilt for not being able to be happy despite not having a particularly big disadvantage ).

I don't honestly remember the last time I was truly happy but, that's how life IS, right? it's not a fun filled place where you can just be happy at any given time?

And again, people who actually give a damn about what happens to me only have this to say about it: "you should stop being so negative" or " you have to think positively, or see the bright side of life"... well how the hells do you do that? They say it as though it's that simple to just flip a switch and be happy despite life's difficulties. TO just find joy in what ever one can be happy about.

I don't know how to do that...

SO I'm wondering what depression is like so that I can form some sort of idea about weather I have depression ( and therefore try and seek the opinion of a medically qualified professional )... or I'm just a "wuss" as they say... and that I just have to "man up".

Well I have been dabbling for a bit with comics. I don't have a large number of them ( yet ) but I'm getting there. Defenetly learned a few things from experimenting with them....

Also, do you know of any way in witch to promote such things as a comic? I'm not sure I should really be looking in to such yet as I only have a few pages and arcs. But I'm curious none the less.

I don't want to come across as an attention whore here, but I dunno any other way to say this. I am rather interested in hearing feedback from people that watch my comics. I can take constructive criticism too if it comes to it ( just don't be an arse about it. )

There seems to be some controversies about the legality of this, and that it's only intended for people who actually own the software. But the thing is it doesn't seem to ask you for such when installing. So I am unsure what to make of this.

Stumbled on this today. It's a very intriguing and ( somewhat ) haunting theory on what our world would be like if humans simply vanished worldwhide in an instant. It detaills how our world would react to our race vanishing. It's a houre and a half long but I recommend watching it. It's food for thought in a way. So give it a try.

If you could wish for 3 things, and they would be granted, no matter how outrageous or wild, or how wide encompassing those wishes would be, with the only limitation being NOT wishing for more wishes ( this includes all sorts of tricks or loopholes in witch you could gain access to extra wishes )... Mk, first one is pretty simple: Would you like Draghi to keep his wings or would he look better without them? I'm asking this from a technical standpoint... often times I find myself drawing some pretty cool poses, only to realize afterwards that the wings would obscure all or most of his body and the nice pose ( unless i positioned them in some outrageously unnatural position ( usually raised up high ).

DO the wings make a dragon... well, a dragon? Would he stop being a dragon if he had no wings?

Mk, and number two. I'm just curious if i should expand and try to make a site dedicated to the comic itself instead of hosting it here ( and on DA ). It would still have all the pages posted here as well, but would it be better off if it had a website of it's own?

And if the answer is YES... how the hells do you go about getting a website for it anyways? I haven o idea how to go about doing this so I would really appreciate some assistance.

Debatable, I don't have fixed prices for these. But for instance I'm going to ask less for natural landscapes and more for urban landscapes ( things that require more precise perspectives... like a cityscape, are a lot harder to do so I will charge more. )

Terms of service

- Payment is UPFRONT! ( sorry, but i have been burned twice... it will NOT happen a 3rd time ).
- You will have to cover the paypal transaction fees.
- You agree that there will be no refunds unless I am somehow unable to do your picture because of personal reasons.
- I will show you the image when it's a rough sketch to see if you like it. This is when the idea that you want drawn is cemented. These are for free but you don't gen an unlimited amount. It's best if you come to me with a well formed idea in mind about what you want drawn.
- You must ask for modifications to the image during the rough sketch phase, when it's easy for me to change the character, pose or composition. Unless it's minor changes, I will NOT do modifications later in the painting process.
- Once you receive the product, you are given rights over it to print and copy, so no need to ask me for that. However, I do not agree to removing my markings from them nor do I condone post editing them by a third party ( or by you, the customer ) and redistributing them under that form.
- Do not include in the paypla transaction that you are paying for art ( ESPECIALLY if it's porn ) or that it's from FA and I'd appreciate not including any usernames either. The only thing you should write is something like "Payment for ordered item" or something along those line.

I'm just curious about this one thing... where do you people go to make friends and how do you go about doing it?

This whole socialising thing is something of a mystery for me. I don't want to be a lonelly bum... but I have only a vague idea about how NOT to be like that.
