Would also be helpful to know what kind of art you like, but not required. I, for example, like cats, females, magic, nature, pinups, cutesy stuff, romance, and serious subject matters. Lately I prefer to sketch, line or color, but I'm flexible. I'd prefer someone to sketch for this, just because I'm running out of poses.. :P

Hi guys. I've been having a rough time financially as of late. I wasn't able to do much drawing while pregnant, so my savings were eaten up by my monthly bills. Then my cat got sick. My teeth still aren't done ($4,000 left to pay on that!), and to top it all off, I have a baby now. My baby was a planned baby. I wanted him, and I specifically set out to get pregnant. I thought I was ready. Despite everyone's warnings, I did not realize just how much time a baby takes up. I have a very sensitive, needy baby, which I should've expected, seeing as I'm very sensitive and needy... >_> Regardless, I'm with him almost all hours of the day, and I often skip meals because if I put him down, he cries. (And carriers don't always please him, believe me. I've tried. Sometimes it's a dream, and sometimes he wants to be held a specific way)

So anyway, long story short, I can't draw as much as I could before. I am used to drawing for 5-8+ hours in one sitting.. I don't have that luxury anymore and it's killing me. The YCHs that I've been posting have been very helpful. I've gotten my account out of the negative and am able to make this months payments. However, I don't know if I can rely on just commissions right now since I never know when I'll have free time. I was hoping to do something that brings in money over time, such as a game, or maybe some SL items. I've been planning some games for awhile now, but I think way too big. I get caught up in tiny little details. I don't have the time or money to make a detailed game right now, so that will have to wait.

I'm looking for game ideas that I could develop into a cheap, simple game. Anywhere from $1-$10. Any suggestions? Some ideas I was thinking of were maybe a dress up type game, specifically for furries. You'd have the usual choices of outfits, backgrounds, expressions, etc, but because furries love customization, I thought I'd allow more choices in species, body type, markings, colors, etc so you could build a whole character with it. I'm not sure if that's something people would want to pay for though.

I've also been playing Pokemon Rumble when I am stuck on the couch with the baby and I thought that would be a simple fun thing to try. Little chibi characters in a button mashing game. I can go 100 different places with that, too, so I'll probably stew on it for a bit.

Anyway. I need monies. I have little to no time and while I enjoy commissions, they don't pay in the longterm. I need something to hold me over until my kid gets a little more independent. I love him dearly, and I want to enjoy this time spent with him, but it's hard to do when I'm so stressed about my school payments and getting my teeth fixed and paying off my vet debts... Thoughts are much appreciated.

My (normally fat) cat lost a ridiculous amount of weight and stopped eating, so I brought her into the vet. Hello hyperthyroidism. One radioactive shot and a week stay at the vet and she's back home. She's eating again and slowly gaining weight. I have to schedule a followup visit soon to see if the injection worked and to see if her other problems are still persisting. She looks like hell, too. (Pic) That picture doesn't show her neck, which is bald from scratching so much. But, hopefully she gets better from here on out! I've spent over $2000 on her during this ordeal, so she better. >:(

As for my baby, he's lovely. He's way too clingy for my preference, but it's cute. I've been trying to balance caring for him with drawing, but I've decided to give that up. I was starting to get angry at my baby for keeping me from drawing. He's not going to be like this forever, so I've decided to embrace it instead. I'll just draw during one of his rare naps that aren't with me. (Aren't we cute?) I've been looking forward to having a baby and the last thing I want to do is let my art come between us.

And that's about it. A couple people have asked about my dad, as well, but I don't want to talk about that. He's still alive, so there's that! As for me, I've very tired all of the time, but I'm doing well now that my kitty is getting better. Sorry for not being around much. Thanks for the support!

WHY: I didn't want to make a new journal just for this, so I'm shacking it up in this one. Long story short, my ever-fat cat and best feline friend for well over a decade and half of my life has lost a ridiculous amount of weight in the past month. Once she started creeping into the underweight category and I wasted a lot of money, time and sanity trying different foods, I finally brought her in to the vet.

DIAGNOSIS: Hyperthyroidism. I love my cat like my child, so I went with the Radioiodine therapy treatment option. This is the more expensive option in the short term, but it's the best, most effective and safest for the longterm so I feel good about it. I'm able to pay for it, just barely, with my Care Credit card, so she's going to get treatment starting April 10th. Why open for commissions then? Because I was going to use that money for my very badly needed dental work, that was being put off until my baby was born.. :( My cat's life is more important, so I'm paying for that first, but if I can make large monthly payments on the Care Credit card, I can continue my dental work sooner rather than later. Not being open for commissions consistently for awhile has drained my bank account. I can never catch up! Maybe soon~

I live in Florida, which doesn't get too cold in winter compared to the rest of the US. However, we do get some pretty cold nights here and there. It was in the low 40s, high 30s last night and with the abandoned stray cats that have been lingering about, I feel awful. I can't take them inside, but I can get them a Kitty Tube! The coldest nights have passed, but I found a really nice product that I can use for years to come. I'm currently too pregnant and exhausted to make my own, so I'm gonna leave it to the pros. I wanna buy this.

I'm hoping these sketches will be a good warm up for my queue and allow me to provide a little shelter from rain, cold and wind for the kitties outside. I don't have many examples, but it'd be something along these lines (the sketch on the left, not the finished version on the right).

I'm not really sure if I'll have much luck with this, as my art is not the most religious friendly, but I figured I'd give it a shot.. lol

Someone very close to me is very, very ill. It's likely that he's going to die, and it could be soon. Even if he survives, he's under a lot of stress and going through so much pain. I want to give him a little something to perk him up a bit. He's a very devoted Christian who puts his love for God above everything else. A few years back, I bought him a nice little Christian book that he loved more than I expected him to. I can't remember what it was exactly, but it was something that you'd read a little bit of, every day. Kinda like those calenders with cute/funny quotes on them, but it was a little more involved than that.

Anyway, he really loved that thing. He read it everyday, and would put sticky notes on the ones he especially loved. It was only good for one year though, and I picked it up on a whim at the store. I haven't seen anything like it since, and I'm not sure what to search for to find anything similar to it. It wasn't just simple positive affirmations. It was more like.. Light inspirational reading based on religious teachings.

Because of the hard times he's going through right now, and my unfortunate lack of ability to really do much to help, I was hoping I could find something similar to that book for him to read during his treatments and hospital stays, or just when he's at home at night before bed. If you have any suggestions on a specific book, or any terms I can search for, please do let me know. I'd prefer it to be things that are light reading, so smaller chapters, or only a few paragraphs a day. He is low on energy, and I wouldn't want to get him anything that would overwhelm him with information.

I'm not religious at all, so I don't even know where to start. I was lucky to stumble across that first book in the store and have it be such a success. Suggestions for anything that can bring any sort of happiness would be appreciated. It doesn't even need to be a book. I was hoping for something he can bring to the hospital with him to read, but really, anything Christian related works. As long as it's not chintzy or silly.

I enjoyed Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and intended to play it while at the hospital (due in a week and a half), buuut, I liked it so much, I finished it. :[ My husband conveniently already had the first one, but he has yet to get the second. Short and sweet: A friend of mine, named Christina, is approximately $1,000 in debt due to unexpected vet bills for her cat, Loki. He was staying with a friend of hers while she sorted out her own living situation, and while he was in their care, he suffered a hernia. His temporary care givers took him to the vet for surgery, and it ended up being quite an expensive visit, with the responsibility falling into Christina's hands.

I want to help her by taking some commissions and donating a portion of the funds to her. I'm thinking I'll give her $20 per commission I get out of this. As for my own situation, for those who don't know, I'm 7.5 months pregnant. I'm not sure how much time I'll have to draw once my baby is born in February. I'm hoping to take as many of these commissions as I can in the coming weeks (in batches, of course) to prepare for a few months of downtime, which is why I can only give her $20. Okay, so. Christina has had Loki for about 4 years now. She came across him as a skinny, flea infested, declawed stray. She took him into her home and made him her own. Unfortunately, she was living in a tough situation with her mom and her mom's boyfriend. She had to remove herself from the situation, and the only option for her was to move in with her girlfriend and her parents. Her girlfriend's parents refused to let Loki come with her, as they are not animal fans, and their daughter already had a cat. One more pet than they wanted. So, Christina's sister had a friend, named Crystal, who was willing to take Loki in until Christina could care for him again. Christina paid for his food and boarding during this time.

After a handful of months, things started to pick up for Christina and she was finally able to get her own apartment! She contacted Crystal with the news, and was told that Loki was now known as Midnght and is not leaving. They refused to give him back and cut contact with Christina. She had to get the police involved, and eventually took Crystal to court to get her cat back. A month before the court date, Christina finds out that earlier in the year, Loki suffered from a hernia in his colon that required surgery. Fortunately, Christina won the court case and got her cat back, but with the condition that she cover the medical costs that Loki received (which she planned on doing, but this required her to pay it all upfront in one go). Christina borrowed the money from her girlfriend to cover the cost and Loki is happily in her care and is recovering well. The same day she got Loki back, she took him to her own vet, who said that the hernia was likely caused by a physical injury, such as being kicked. It's also possible that it's due to age, but his age is estimated to be about 5, so we're not entirely sure about that. He's safe now, though. Christina's girlfriend over-extended herself with the loan and herself is having financial troubles now. She's trying to be understanding, but is eager to be paid back, and Christina has the on going cost of medication to ensure Loki heals up well. I'd like to help them out with these commissions! TL;DR of the previous journal: I found kittens. I also found another cat. They are unrelated. They are all homeless currently. They need shots, health exams, and fixin's. This is not cheap. My own cat has also had problems passing urine lately, to the point of bleeding, and needs to be examined as well. I've already done price matching at multiple vets, don't qualify for cheaper vouchers or assistance programs, nor are there many options in my small city, shelters are full and I refuse to just leave them be.

I went back to check on the kittens and got some information! The neighbors daughter was riding her bike and saw some kids being weird at the end of the street. She investigated and saw that the other kids were burying the kittens in the ground. They dug holes, put the kittens in, and buried their bodies, leaving their head showing. She confirmed from the kids that the kittens are strays, so she took them home. Her dad said she needed to get rid of them immediately, so she put them on our patio and told him they were gone. They've been there for two days with no food or water.

I brought them some food, refreshed their water, and made a bed from a cardboard box and some rags I had in my car, so they're good for the night. I will be back tomorrow to mow the lawn so I can check in on them and feed them again. The child who put them there is much too young to effectively find homes for them and the parents want nothing to do with the kittens. I'm officially taking responsibility for them. I intend to have them vaccinated, examined and neutered. While they're healing, I'll keep them on my own enclosed patio at my house while I care for them and socialize the shy one.

My next step is to research the adult cat. First, I need to have her scanned for a chip, which is free. If she's not chipped, then I need to have her examined to see if she's been spayed, which is not free. If she's intact, she's getting the full treatment (shots, health check up, and spay) and then she'll be released back into the neighborhood of I can't find her a home on Craigslist. I'm hoping she has a chip, but we'll see. The kittens absolutely are in need of homes though. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! <3

Some of you may know that I'm kind of cat obsessed. Like, I live and breathe cats. Somehow, I was unfortunate enough to come across TWO separate instances of abandoned cats in a short time frame. I can't not do something for these kitties, but I can't do it alone. Lemme introduce them first. I apologize for the length. I want you to know exactly what's going on.

Case 1: Callie; Adult female

This cat has shown up on our street a month ago. The neighbors have been trying to find out who she belongs to, but so far, no luck. We've recently had many people move out from our street (at least 4 empty houses this month). The cat is sociable and sweet, but quite thin. You can't tell from the photo, but when she's standing, her hips are bony (not emaciated or dangerously thin, but definitely underweight). She's clearly someones pet, but she hasn't been fed consistently for some time. We've decided that she may be left behind from someone who moved. (The collar pictured was purchased by my neighbor, in the hopes that animal control wont take her. Our shelters are overcrowded, so if she were to be picked up, she might not make it long).

These kittens were found at one of the houses we have. It's an empty house that no one lives in. My dad showed up there today to do lawn maintenance and he found the kittens LOCKED in the patio. One of the doors was locked from the inside, the other was propped closed from the outside with a boulder. There was no food or water, toys or bedding or anything inside the patio for the kittens. They're also a bit thin (their floof hides it but you can feel it) and were crying a lot, I'm guessing for food. The shy one has a quarter sized wound on his lower belly and he's very poorly socialized. He wont let you near him and he will scream if he is separated from his brother. The friendly one is actually well socialized. He plays, purrs, and seeks attention. I'm thinking someone either dumped these kittens here to die, or they're using our abandoned house as cat storage, which is pretty rude. I need to investigate further. I've left them there for now with two little bowls of water. Before anyone asks, these kittens are a 20 minute drive from the cat on our street, and the adult female does not have developed breasts. They're definitely not related!

So, the adult female I want to have spayed. We're going to have her scanned for a chip first, but if no luck there, I'm going to get her spayed and vaccinated. It's been a month and no one has claimed her, she's still around, and she hasn't gained weight. I'm thinking she's been out on her own this whole month we've seen her. My neighbors don't want to keep her, but they're willing to put food out for her so I'm not too terribly worried about her, but I insist she be spayed if she's going to hang around. I can't have kittens wandering around with no home.

As for the two kittens on the patio, I'm going back there either today or tomorrow to talk to the neighbors some more, in the hopes that I can find some information. Someone purposefully put those kittens there, so someone knows something. If someone plans to care for them, great. If not, I'm going to take responsibility for them. If no one claims them, once they've been cleared as healthy and have recovered from being neutered, I plan to find them a home through Craigslist.

To have them examined, given their shots, tested, and neutered, it's approximately $250 per kitten. That quote isn't including any possible treatment the shy kitten may need for his wound, which I did not mention over the phone. They said the price can vary by 10% or so, depending on the health and age of the kittens, as well as sex (I'm only 90% sure they're boys). The adult female is going to be more expensive than the kittens. They didn't want to give a number until they examine her, to verify her health, age, etc. I called around to a few places and the prices were pretty similar all around. Most of the low-cost clinics around here require proof of income to qualify, which I don't have and my husband is over-qualified for.

I have just enough funds in my bank account to get all 3 cats taken care of, as well as covering the examination fee for my own cat who still needs to be seen for some urinary/blood problems she's been having. However, I wont have enough to cover additional tests for my own cat if she needs them, and the visit will leave my bank account completely depleted. I've already used my Care Credit card for my dentist visit, so I can't use that. I've decided to open a GoFundMe page. Quoting the adult cat at $50 above the kittens, the total is $800, plus the examination fee and possible tests required to diagnose my own personal cat at an unknown amount, I've set my goal at $1000. This should hopefully be pretty close to what it's going to actually cost, accounting for unknowns, and possible changes in price. If it ends up being cheaper than that, the additional funds will be used to care for the kittens while I try to rehome them. My husband is allergic to cats and we have two already, so we cannot keep them. Even if the kittens get sorted out, I will still need at least the $300 or so to get the female taken care of. I will post updates once I find out more information.

My husband has asthma that's bad enough to affect him at least once a week, but not bad enough to kill him (yet), nor is it common enough to warrant preventative measures. It was never really a problem for the longest time because he'd just breathe calmly until it passed, and if it didn't, he'd take a hit from his inhaler. Done. Back to normal. WELL. Those pesky inhalers gotta be bad for the ozone layer and stuff, so in 2012, they stopped selling them (I say them but there was literally only one where we live, and it was taken off the shelf. Now there's nothing).

It was especially frustrating for me to find out about it because I didn't know until we needed one. He wakes up at 2ish in the morning and can't breathe. He tries to use his inhaler, but it's all out, so I offer to go get a replacement inhaler from the drug store. I'm a little worried because, unlike his usual asthma incidents, this one seemed especially bad. I didn't want to leave him, but alas, it was the only solution. I drove to 4 different stores half asleep in my damn PJs trying to find a damn inhaler and no one had one!!! So I got a dumb nebulizer thing that's really inconvenient to use but it does work. He's been using that since, but not as often as he should, because it's just so annoying to use. You have to assemble it every time, and pour in the dose and then the vapor kinda just goes wherever, and then you have to thoroughly clean it when you're done and technically, you're supposed to clean it every single day whether you used it or not but fuck that..

So anyway. :I Are there any CFC-free MDI inhalers for sale anywhere? Preferably in the USA? If not, is there anything comparable? When you wake up in the middle of the night unable to breathe, groggy and half asleep, a fast acting inhaler is just so nice. He doesn't wanna go to a doctor because he's stubborn (though I may just have to make him, if that's what it will take). It's not quite severe enough to warrant preventative, daily medicine, and the allergy tablets aren't quite fast enough. Unfortunately, his trigger is dust and fine particles... We use AC filters that specifically target dust, change it regularly, have bi-weekly in depth cleaning done, run air purifiers and somehow dust still finds its way into our life. We can't get away! Is there hope? Is there a CFC-free inhaler or a similar alternative that doesn't require a "how to assemble" booklet to read at 2 AM?

This is more of a rant than anything, but by all means, if you want to make it into a discussion, feel free. Maybe I'll learn something.

I've been developing my characters and species for about 7 years now and none of them are complete. I keep changing things, or focusing on teeny tiny dumb ass details, trying to make them perfect. I've always dreamed of doing a large project that involved everything I've worked on, like a graphic novel/webcomic, or more recently, a video game or two. However, I've never been able to come up with a solid storyline or plot. I've got a basic one now that I'm trying to flesh out for a visual novel style game, but it's incredibly slow going.

How do you writers do it? It just doesn't click for me. I can spend all day telling you about my characters lives, history, religions, morals, laws, diets, anatomy, day to day lives, societies, etc, but when it comes to giving them a purpose, or telling a story, I'm just stumped. It's so frustrating. I have all of this potential in my head, and nothing to do with it.

My husband was so very generous to pay for over half of my college costs to go to school for Video Game Design and he wants to team up to make games together. He is the programmer, I'm the artist/writer and together we're supposed to make games. But I'm holding up the process by not being able to write! @_@ I'm not a writer and I never have been very good at it, but I didn't think it would give me this much trouble. I feel so guilty that I can't come up with anything I'm proud of. I've tried working with other writers as well, but it's just not the same when I'm not passionate about the subject. No one can write a story that I'd love as much as my own, but I can't even write my own damn story!

I even try to consume as much as I can from others. Movies, tv shows, games, books, whatever. I try to pick apart why it's a good story, why I enjoyed it, what made me want to interact with it and it really motivates me... until I sit down to work on my own. Augh. It feels like there's no winning.

I'm going to have a clean/general YCH available real soon, which some people have been waiting on, so keep an eye out. It'll be sketched by neko-maya but I'll be the only one inking, coloring and shading. The funds will help me get Dorito to the vet and get some better tests done for her urinary problems. I've got lots of YCH collab stuff queued up to be posted as well, some can be clean or nude pinups, and some are obviously a bit more sexual. I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been bidding on my auctions, as well as those who have been providing me with sketches, or working 50/50 on the collabs. My bank account has almost doubled from the time I first started freaking out about running out of money (it's under $1000 though so lol, that doesn't say much). But still, it's been a big help. I've really been enjoying working on commissions lately, now that I'm doing almost strictly collabs. They're a lot more fun for me. I'm particularly enjoying the shading part. When I mentioned possibly offering my coloring/shading services as a commission, people were actually interested! So, I want to explore that a bit. I've been wanting to get an IA commission from  wolfy-nail that I can color up, but so far no luck. Maybe someone has an IA sketch from Wolfy that they're looking to get colored? If so, post it here and we can discuss our options!

Things I'll need:
1. A link to the image in question. MUST be drawn by wolfy-nail. I'm not interested in anything else yet.
2. Image dimensions. What size is the image, in pixels? Larger images take longer to color/shade.
3. Image filetype. Do you have a PSD/PNG/JPEG/etc?
4. Links to character ref(s). Complicated characters take more time.
5. What kind of coloring do you want? Flat (I just add your characters colors, leaving Wolfy's shading(if any), and do no shading of my own) OR shaded, where I do my full detailed shading in my style.

Provide all of that here in a comment and I'll reply with whether I'm interested, and if so, how much I'll charge to color it. Paypal only for payment. Thanks in advance!

My cat is having problems urinating again. She is straining, and only producing a few drops of urine and a drop or two of blood. I've seen this happen with her before but the all of the vets I took her to only did a limited investigation, concluded with a shrug of the shoulders. (The icing on the cake was the vet who literally squeezed the piss out of her, then said the results were inconclusive because there was bacteria in the urine, but it could've come from her fur. Amazing. Why take a sample that way if it could be contaminated so easily? Bah.) She's an older cat (about 12-13 years old), so I want to have her taken back and examined properly and that's gonna cost money. As I've mentioned, I'm already low on funds, so this isn't a great time, but she's getting old and I'd rather be safe than sorry. This is my furbaby, and she's been with me literally over half of my life. And before you suggest a GoFundMe or something like that, I don't plan on hosting one. I feel bad asking for free money. As for the purpose of this journal, what kinds of YCH poses do you like? I apologize in advance if you hate YCHs. I try to be considerate when I post them. I always scrap them when they're done, and I almost never post reminder submissions using the exact same image (that's against the ToS, did you know? And it's very annoying for some watchers). However, this is the most stress-free way for me to offer commissions, so I'm hoping we can compromise. For those who DO like YCH, please provide your input.

I know a few people have asked for clean/general poses, and I see my adult rated ones go for a lot of money. I personally like mature or clean pinups like my current one, but I can go either way. I might dabble in a few fetish themes, like hypno, bondage, or paws. I was also considering offering a YCH with one of my ladies (Aeris or Melia), but that would have to be higher in price, as it's two characters, and I'm not sure if most people are willing to pay that much for my art. I have a TON of ideas for drawings that include backgrounds/settings, that I've been saving for my own characters, but maybe if they sold well enough, I could do them as YCHs instead? For example, I wanted to do one of a character underwater, swimming through a kelp forest. Or I thought it would be cute to have a character who was trying to catch fish, but after failing to catch anything, they tossed the rod aside and dove in, using their hands instead. Just little clips of characters doing things, full backgrounds involved. That's what I want to do with my art..

I'm starting to ramble. Any thoughts? Also, do you prefer flat rate or auctions? Sometimes my auctions go for really cheap, and sometimes they go for above my usual commissions prices (obviously better for me). Some like flat rates because they can snatch it up and know it's theirs, but others like knowing that they can grab the slot just by bidding the most. Both are legitimate and understandable so maybe I'll try both, but it's nice to hear thoughts. Thanks in advance.
