Redefining Akahi
Posted 10 years agoBeen debating this a while, and ya its silly probably posting this journal, but ehh.. I kinda feel like I've lost touch with my fursona some, I've made changes to her so much I'm thinking i might take a step back and redefine the character as i do with myself, cause you all know life changes and all... When I first thought up my fursona, i used aspects of myself in her, and as such she is how i see my innerself sometimes, sometimes girly like with the pink bikini pic, fully female... I dunno if that feels right anymore tbh.. Playing with ideas and see where they go for the most part i guess, who knows
Furaffinity Drama/Bullshit
Posted 12 years agoEDIT: Understand I don't mean to offend people with this journal, I posted it with some annoyance, so please don't take it the wrong way.
Can someone help explain something to me, I kinda have a number of questions regarding the drama that's going on around FA and all the "I'm leaving FA" journals I keep seeing.
1. How many people wanna see the website updated?
2. How many years has this website been out of date?
3. How many times have you heard someone say "OMG I hate x, y, and z about this site... the admins need to do x, y and z" ?
and my final questions:
4. Why bitch about the new coder that is been given a place on staff to be able to fix everyone's complaints about this site, cause some drama between him and certain people happened?
5. Which is more important, leaving FA over drama or seeing the website updated?
Those are my questions to you guys, my take on this is a logical one. I don't quite understand what happened between the coder and the others, but why in the honest fuck does that matter right now? It's not like he's going to go ape shit crazy and ban everyone. He's been given a job to update a website that everyone uses for free. I know a lot of people that have left this website but you know what, you're going to another free website that can easily be the exact same way.
I'm tired of seeing people make poor decisions because of stuff that has nothing to do with them. If you're going to leave and go to another website, go... if it makes you happy, go... it's just the internet people.
The issues everyone is upset about is between the coder and the other parties in question. It's silly to leave a website over stuff that has nothing to do with you, and even more silly to hate an owner of a website for wanting to update it, over such a silly matter as this. No ones perfect so stop judging.
And before anyone says "oh you're just defending the owner or the coder" guess what, I'm stating my own opinion. This is all idiotic. "Oh the coder did x, y and z... I'm going to leave this FREE website cause I don't like the fact that he's been put in a position to UPDATE THE WEBSITE we've had issues with for years" Maybe FA should start charging for the website's usage, cause no matter what people are going to find a reason to bitch.
Once again don't get me wrong on this, I don't care about what the coder did, that's in the past and I'm sure the people (coder and related parties) are adult enough to handle the situation themselves. It's not my place to put my opinion in on that, however I do see a website that needs updated, the new look has a very simple and tumblr-esc look which makes it very user friendly.

Posted 12 years agoThe spark is back :D I finally got the tablet working again! And my want to get better at drawing is burning brighter then ever. Hope to be doing lots more arts real soon :D and no matter what learn a few new things and better my artistic career *crosses squeaky paws*
"Austin's lost some weird today"
Posted 13 years agoThe title of this journal was taken from The Statesman website. Austin, Tx has been known for a slogan for a number of years now the slogan "Keep Austin Weird" and the one guy that made that slogan stand out was Leslie Cochran He was one of those people that would stand out in any crowd, mainly for the way he dressed. He was the many characters you'd find on 6th street, when any visitor to austin would talk about him you'd know. "Hey theres a homeless guy wearing a wedding dress riding a trike down the street" or you'd hear "Hey there's a guy wearing nothing but a gstring thong bikini walking down the street full beard and all OMG...." *smiles* When I was going to ACC back in 2005 I'd see him daily, got to know the guy... He was a pretty big character.

Akahi: Weeeeeell~ anthro or non anthro? Anthro would be 5'6 non.. never cared much to measure, why would a non-anthro otter need to know how tall he is :P

Akahi: *looks up and lays back* I love the sound of a creek or stream rushing by over the rapids, while sitting on the bank of a nice wooded area. So relaxing *sighs*

Akahi: Do all of the seasons count? :S I love the spring, beginning of the revival process, Summer, TIME FOR THE WATER PARTIES!! :D and Fall for the wonderful color changes, Winter is nice too :P snow sliding!! :D
Fyre: I love spring, fall and winter: Spring its not too hot and the thunderstorms come back, Fall just feels festive I love halloween, Winter well cause its nice and cool, and I love snow even though its never really stayed on the ground here...
