Stuffs, art jams, and the like
Posted 18 years agoI know, I haven't done artwork in a long time. I promise... I'll have time this coming Saturday night to work on stuff, so I'm taking my clipboard of paper, my pencils, and my erasers and stuff with me. And i'll try hard to produce something new. Really.
I need to do some commission work, and I want to do a gift art thing fo Redwulf - she deserves it lots. Mostly for putting up with me - but also because she's been really, really quiet - like a ninja. And ninja redwulf's are pretty dern dangerious. The only way to sate one is to show them artwork, and they they focus on that, so you can get away....
Umm... yeah.
I need to also see about finding out somewhat in advance when the next art jam is gonna be, for us local bay area types, so I can attend. I had fun at the one I was at, and if I know a few weeks in advance, I might be able to get the day/day after off.

Posted 19 years agoI know.. most people don't read these things unless there is artwork attached. I'm currently roughing out comic page layouts for one of the two massive comic-like projects I have on my plate. This one would be a three parter, called The Running Fur. The other is the one based off of the Cube movie series.
This one I have a ton of text for. It should be easy to do pages for this. The intro should be done in a few weeks.

Hehehehe... evil foxie...
Posted 19 years agoI'm about to run downstairs (after I get cleaned up tonight) and 'borrow' Brent's digital pad. Why, you ask? Well, because I fully intend to get my hands on an new Intuos 3 6x8 sometime in a month or two.
And I want to get used to using one. I have a copy of painter. I have a copy of Adobe. I have OC4 and OC1.X so I can do shared drawing sessions.
No pad. And I hate working with a mouse.

Posted 19 years agoFor those interested:
I have a few sketches I'm planning on uploading tonight. Some minor erotica, some non-erotica, alot of character sketches, as well as some roughs for a project I was/am calling Egin luir kioob.
It's (loosely) inspired by the cube series of movies (specifically the first and third ones), but with a much more... erotic, and dark, angle. It's going to be pretty brutal on the eyes, just an FYI, and definatly not for the faint of heart. This is basically to finish off the concept that's been in my mind, and give me some stress relief from my customers.
I also owe Mitch a drawing of N'duk, Jirris a badge, and to refine a newer version of the trade I have with DocMcDowell. I also have an outstanding image to finish with Scala of one of his characters. I need to do the colors on her.
I have a genderbending short I've been meaning to do tenatively called 'Lessons', with Alis and Thanessa. And I still want to do more with Sinopa and Urachinith.
All for now!

Have not updated in a long time
Posted 19 years agoArtwork has taken a back seat for the time being, with the new job, and the hours that prohibit me from having a period of time -just- to do artwork. This will change, as I get used to the schedule and settle back in.
Aside from that, there're really nothing new - Doctor who is in season 2 now, in the BBC. Just watched School Reunion, which was an awesome episode.
Like to apologise to all the people who have +watched me and seen that I haven't done anything new. I'll do some hard core porn/twisted idea or something soon. I promise.
To those waiting for artwork from me, please be patient for a while longer - new job takes precidence.

Updates
Posted 19 years agoHi everyone! I know, I haven't updated here in quite a while. I'm done moving, and my period of unemployment has come an end.
WHat does this mean for here? Well, likely that I will be doing more artwork again. I always work better when I have less stress, not more, and being employed alleviates some of that stress, alllowing my creative energies to flow properly.
Or something like that. I'm working on an set of 'In' and 'Out' signs for my door for my new abode. I'll post those when I finish them - they're gonna be cute.
Beyond that, I'm here. I'm alive. And my arm, which was injured two weeks back is almost healed so I can draw again.
Y'all take care now!

All the attention!
Posted 20 years agoLet me thank all of you who +watched me right now. I was off line for about half a week last week wirth no net connection. I have one now - but my DSL is being moved to my new home, and the connection I have, while very fast, isn't the most stable (I'm at the edge of a wifi network, so single strength fluctuates just enough to disconnect me from time to time).
I need to do a bit of a tribute picture to all of you, so if you all have ideas what you'd want in such a picture, comment here, please! I have plenty of characters, ranging from the cheetah Sildre and unicorn Urachinith to my wolf Kerensky and the vulpine Alis. And I'll draw almost anything.
That being said, thank all of you again. Seeing that people are looking forward to seeing more of my artwork is an ego boost! And makes me want to draw more.

A bunch of older artwork
Posted 20 years agoI haven't done anything much new - I have some pending work that needs to be done for/from Conifur - some of which I will be working on tonight. I figured I would upload a bunch of stuff from my own archives - pre 2004 (and some pre 2003), so people could see some of where I've come from. Included in this upload (which will be later tonight) are things like 'The Reflections' Portfolio, which was done for Conifur 2004 (And did not sell at all at said con, and as such, the follow up project was abandond), a few older chararacter images, and lots of sketch work and really poorly done stuff that I'm just not happy with now.
But, it's important that one remembers where one has come from, so to better understand where one is going.

A bunch of new stuff
Posted 20 years agoI just uploaded a few new/old images. These are images that where done some time ago, and many people have seen from me in other locations.
Mostly I put them here so I remember that I have this place. Also so people can see a bit more of a range from me then what I have posted thus far.

Further Confusion
Posted 20 years agoWell... I dunno who all of you are going to FC, -but- I will be there, likely hanging in the creator's lounge to work on sketches, mind the room, and do artwork. So, if you're at FC, stop in, look for the long haired white guy sketching or airbrushing artwork!

A first update....
Posted 20 years agoWell.... FA is back. And it took me a while, but I am as well. I'll have to see about uploading my old stuff again, or getting it recovered from the old archives, or some such.
I have an unusual treat - male cheese cake. Not something I'm in the habit of drawing, but I tagged this new pencil today (one that Jay Naylor uses, BTW) just to see how it felt in comparison to my lighter Staedtler mars I use. There is a difference, but it's not that one is better then the other, by far. The Pentel Graph 1000 is a good pencil - I picked up the .3 version because I actually -like- the smaller lead sizes.
Anyway, I'll be adding some minor details to this sketch, and cleaning it up a bit, before I scan and post it. There are still some things that bug me about the face - I'll have to see what I can do about that.
