I do love a little bit of impressionism painting but I'm wanted to branch out into sharper more bombastic/stylized ways of paintings and I'm finding the way I paint is pretty mediocre for immediate visual interest—it serves its purpose, but I want more. Does anyone have any tips, compendiums, guides blogs whatever about other styles of digital art, smoother textures, more detailed works n the likes? Thanks!

FA is awesome, glad its back.

It's nice, y'know, to have a site where you can post art without worrying about it being 'content', or gaming the algorithm, being ripped apart by some mechanical piece of code for the brief but unsatisfying viewership of someone scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. I hope FA stands the test of time, because there aren't many places like this around anymore. I'd post some half-decent art to celebrate but my tablet pen kinda is killing itself and I'm hoping ordering a new one fixes the problem, otherwise I'm toast on the art front for a bit :<

I played my first show with the band last night! Well, it wasn't a show as much as just two songs but WE KILLED IT! Never been on a stage to play an instrument before (let alone sing). The whole bar and people outside all filtered in when we got up, had a full room, it was crazy. Got asked to open for some bands and headline the open mic night at that bar <3 I can't believe this!

OK so I have this bizarre ass costume design I drafted up which is vaugely like a feathered poncho w/ wings and a separate feather tail piece; this would be used for stage music performance. The problem is, I have no idea where to even start asking about getting this kind of thing made— it's fairly niche, odd (as most of my nonsense tends to be), and borders the line between furry apparel and regular costuming. Does anyone know someone who does this sort of thing?

fucking hell, I need to get out of this state and cut my disgusting family off. I know this is a lost call into the waterfall of journals here, but man. I just wanna say, this sucks. Humanity deserves better than this outrage.

I'm sorry I have dramatically tapered off again in art production,
I'm going through some real tough stuff right now in the wake of a really nasty breakup where i was cheated on, and my mental health has really declined over the past 2 months to a new low.
I'll try to keep up with art when I can but I need some time for myself to heal for a bit, I really am struggling.
