UPDATE (Comic + 🔞 Important modification on my dragons?)

It's something I usually wouldn't want to talk about, but... for some reasons, and after answering to a freshly new comment about my ongoing adult comic which suffered of a loooooooooong break, I decided to write it down.

First, I've rewritten the script for my NSFW current comic. The base is more or less the same, but some conversations has changed, for the better. And now, the script not only has the latest and final names of my characters, but it's also updated with the new characters and relationship in my main story, leading to a more coherent story and situation.
The script (which is now redacted as a short novel) is only done in French atm. I will share it once it's translated... And DAMN how much work it will be to do that... 😰
So, now that it's rewritten, even if it's only in French, I can start to edit the sketch pages... and eventually redraw what I need.
One of the questions I'm struggling with, tbh... is the style of my comic pages. You may have observed it, I tried a lot of styles... Cell shading, soft shading, lineless soft shading... One thing for sure is that Cell shading is eliminated. I don't like it. Then, I have a preference for lineless soft shading... BUT I feel like I'm better at rendering good scenes in soft shading with lineart. So... I'm quite in a conflict between myself, having a hard time deciding where I need to go...
Probably the best option is the one with the best render, though (so, Soft shading with Lineart, I guess)... If you have any opinion about it, feel free to comment.
__________________________________________________________Last, but not the least important, point I'm struggling with is... my dragons' genitals (and thus why this journal is for adults only). For a long time, I insisted to have my male dragons' genitals to be with a sheath and a scrotum. I've always found it more good-looking... more virile... And I even made the 3D model of my dragon Nivalem based on that.
Though, with time... we can all change our mind. And my appreciation about that has changed a little. Scrotum and sheath still look great and virile on dragons... it's just that I find it gives a less slim look to my dragons... that it's less aerodynamical... and more importantly, less good-looking than I imagined on hermaphrodites (like Nivalem).
So... after some thinking... I'm wondering if I won't change that part on my dragons (males and herms), and taking advantage of the rewriting of the script to edit the pages, and remake them with my males and herms (so, Nivalem and Seros) having a slit for the male parts, instead of a sheath + scrotum...
If you have any opinion about it, feel free to share. I can even understand and accept comments saying that you would be disappointed if I apply this change... or also, on the contrary, if you find the idea great and would prefer my comic this way.

You probably already heard of it, but recently, a very sad news hit the furry / scaly community... Dragoneer has passed away.
It is not someone I knew personally, but he was very important for the most active furry website, the one you're currently reading this message on: FurAffinity.
And if we dig deeper, we can also find recent messages explaining how hard it was to maintain that website. People who are aware of FurAffinity's current situation warned that Dragoneer's death sadly put this website's future in peril, and that soon or later, we may all be forced to find another platform to keep sharing our content, and our passion.
(EDIT: Apparently, that was a fake news. FurAffinity should be able to survive for a long while again)
First of all, I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to Dragoneer for all those years he fought to keep that website online. Visibly, it probably wasn't easy.
And then, obviously, I wish him to rest in peace. It is particularly sad to know he left so young (42 or 44 years old, if I remember correctly).

MONTHLY NEWS # 3 - August / September 2023 - HATCHDAY!

Sorry for the lack of news for August.
So... I have some news to share. After 2 months, of course there are some updates, after all. ^^'
But first of all... TODAY IS MY HATCHDAY!!! YEAY!!! =D
And I'm 32 now... Damn! Years fly away too fast... ><
Well, it's an event, still, I'm not really the celebrating kind of guy, so, sorry to disappoint, but I don't have any crunchy stories to tell about it. I just received several messages on my phone, and that's about it. ^^
Now that this is said (and thank you in advance for all messages wishing me a happy hatchday), here's the news to share...
COMMISSIONS / YCH:
All commissions I had on my queue had been done now!
Well... 2 on the 3 had been done. The last one... well, the customer seems to ghost me from the moment I sent him the sketch... or maybe something happened to him which made him forget to reply to the 3 messages I sent, or he was too tired to wait and thought I wouldn't be able to deliver his commission. Whatever is the correct answer, I consider then this last commission as canceled, until he replies to me if he wishes. My PM are always open.
So, when will I be open for commissions?
Probably very soon. I think I will try to progress a bit more on my comic before. But be careful, commissions or YCH may be opened later in October.
SCRIPT / NOVEL:
Inspiration really don't stop. During those 2 months, I made A LOT of progress on my script. Of course, it'll still remain private, but currently, if I merge the part from the older version with the new version, I should be around 300 written pages in A4 format.
Oh, and the newer version is not really a script any more. I transformed it into a novel. Written only in French for now, though.
COMICS:
I started working back on my comic. I should have done it before, but... well... I guess I needed a break.
3D:
There also were progress on my 3D dragon model, Selun. Rig is done, I just need to skin it and to decide what to do with a last tricky part of the rig. But I progressed rather well.
2D ANIMATION:
No progress on the 2D animation project I started, but I intend to work on it actively this coming month.
LIFE UPDATE:
August and September was feeling like summer holidays for me... I needed to take a break, and my mind forced me to take it. Outside of the commissions, I wasn't able to be productive on my work.
For this month, October, I will spend 5 days visiting families and friends, so it will give me 5 more days of holidays. This should, I hope, motivate me to go back to work and be productive after this.
# NEXT GOALS for OCTOBER:
- Finishing pages for my comic
- Finishing my 3D model
- Progressing on the WoF MAP I engage to make

I hope you're doing well.
So... I'm more than a week late, but as promised, here's the monthly news to resume what happened during the month of July.
COMMISSIONS:
The 3 sketches for the 3 commissions had been done, sent, and 2 on the 3 are validated and paid. So, this month, I will of course start working on those 2 while waiting for the 3rd to be validated. I was a bit late and sent those sketches like a week ago, but at least, the sketches are done, and I'll start giving news of their progression to the commissioners each week through Discord.
SCRIPT:
Script had hugely progressed once again. This month, I had tons of ideas I had to write on. And I'm very VERY happy because my lore and story is now, from what I think, perfectly coherent. I'm really proud and hope to be able to share it soon or later, as a novels serie or as a comics (probably still too ambitious for a whole comics, though, unfortunately).
To give you an idea of how ambitious this project is, if I merge the chapters I need to merge from the previous versions with the fresh new version I started to write, I'm currently at 300 pages written in A4 format, with basic font size. I have to tell it, I already wrote a lot of projects in my life. I even reached 100 and more pages for 3 or 4 of those, but 300, that's definitely a first. And it's not even 25% of the whole story I have stocked in my brain.
COMICS:
Heh... That's where I feel a bit ashamed, I have to admit. My comics didn't progress at all since July despite finishing a new final page was one of my monthly objective. But I'm not too ashamed because... all the ideas I got, it was important for me to write them in my script. And this took me a lot of time because of all I had in mind. I probably wrote more than 40 pages of script in A4 format during July, after all.
3D:
There had been some progress as well. I started to improve my low poly animable and customizable 3D human character, making it available for Cycles render, which was not possible before without having an ugly shadows around the neck that only a scarf could have hidden.
I also started the rig for my dragon, but I stopped because I'm still questioning about what kind of controllers would be better for the wings, the tail and the neck.
2D ANIMATION [NEW]:
I know, I know, it's not very clever or serious to start working on something new while I have so many projects to work on. But this is something I wanted to practice again after I didn't practice for more than 5 years: working on 2D animations. And for that, I decided to join what we call a "Wings of Fire MAP" on YouTube. For July, I just signed in. The parts we had to work with, if accepted, was shared this month (August). Also, we still lack of participants, so... if there are 2D animators in my followers reading that journal AND if you're interested to join, feel free to. This MAP is also a way to test out the Grease Pencil of Blender, which looks promising for 2D animation, that I already tested, but never used for a project.

July flew by faster than I expected. I didn't make a lot of sport, but I tried my best to work on my project and to practice with Blender and Krita. I'm a bit sad my goals for this month wasn't fully achieved, but I'm not disappointed though, because I made progress.
# NEXT GOALS for AUGUST:
- Giving weekly updates on my paid commissions AND on my progression for the WoF MAP on their Discord channel
- Working regularly on both paid commissions (and on the 3rd if it gets validated and paid) and on my WoF MAP's part
- Finishing the goals for June & July that weren't achieved, if possible

MONTHLY NEWS # 1 - Jun 2023 - Monthly News, season 2

As promised here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10573225/ , I'm posting right now my first weekly news journal... well not weekly any more. I remembered in fact that previously, when I was already doing this, it wasn't "weekly" news, but monthly. And I thought it would be better this way. Weekly journals would have been too much to make, and in addition, it made more sense to post monthly updates in order to recap on my monthly goals that I'm trying to set for myself.
So, the point of those "monthly news" will be to resume evrything I've done during my month. In order to motivate me, and to show to all my Patreon's subscribers that I'm still active. And this resume will start right now.
COMMISSIONS:
I started to work on it. The 3 commissions still on my queue, for Dragonniar, The XenoRaptor and Ruugar4 will be my next monthly goal for this coming month: July. But until now I didn't find the motivation yet, and since June started as the month when my depression seemed to finally have stopped, I wanted to keep that month to give my mind some rest and peace, by working only on personal stuff. But yes, June is almost done, and with it, I will send the sketches for all the commissions on my queue very soon.
SCRIPT:
Since the start of 2023, the script of my comic project (which currently oscillate between a too much ambitious comic project and a french big novels serie project (that I may translate in English one day?)) is probably the thing I worked the most on. As you remember, if you did read my previous post in link above, I probably was depressed between the months of January and the start of this month, June. However, working on my script felt kinda relaxing, and so, this is the part of the project I managed to work the most on.
And a lot of things had changed in fact. Initially, this project had my herm dragon, Keluna, in it. But Keluna never was the main character. This project was always mainly centered around humans, and one woman in particular, named Kawa. And to make it short, I wasn't pleased by that fact any more. So I decided to transform the main character of my project as 2 main characters: Kawa and Keluna. Sometimes, we will have 2 or 3 chapters that follows Kawa's adventures, then 2 or 3 chapters that follows Keluna's adventures, and so on.
So, in a word, my script now follows 2 different stories with 2 different adventures that will, sometimes, crossed together.
It was a bit of a headache because this changed a lot of things and I had to edit several scenes or even add and delete some others.
Oh! And on a last note, my dragon "Keluna" will be renamed "Selun" very soon.
COMICS:
For this month, I edited and posted the latest sketch page of my comics project, and posted the new and next page. It was really pleasant to work on it again, and I intend to post some others again very soon.
As for the "final" pages, posted at least one new page is part of the new goals for the next month, July.
3D:
Finishing two 3D animable characters, including the final 3D version of my herm dragon Keluna / Selun, and start a SFW animation with the other 3D character were the goals for this month. Technically, the month is not done yet, so I still have time, and... I think I can still do it. I met some technical difficulties with the UV unwrapping (needed to start texturing) with my dragon. It slowed me down, but maybe not enough to block me.
LIFE UPDATE:
Nothing has really changed, except that my depression phase seems to be really done. Since the start of June, I really started to feel better. Although, I'm still often tired and under a lot of stress. I'm still searching for a new job.
# NEXT GOALS for JULY:
- Finishing June's goals if I didn't manage to do it
- Sending the 3 sketches for the commissions on my queue, and finishing at least 1 or 2 of them
- Making and posting the next final page of my comic project

[NEWS] Projects for this month (& for the next)

Akelun here, to share some news with you.
I want to be honest with you, since January, I think I may have become depressed... I started to feel a bit better the previous week, but I may still be it a bit anyway.
Like often, when someone is depressed, I even played like I wasn't, convincing myself everything was alright. But yeah, whatever the efforts I wanted to do... efforts to search a job, efforts to start a project or continue my recent ones, like my comics, or even to start the commissions I accepted... my mind was ready and yelling to my body to go, but my body couldn't listen. I felt stuck. Even talking about it, admitting my depression seemed unacceptable.
The good news is that I think I've started to feel better. And from today, I decided to take 2 decisions, to see if it may help me being active again AND, more importantly, to avoid to go back into depression again.
# 1 - For this month at least, I will give myself objectives. The first objective is to finish the 3D model of Keluna (I have the modelling almost done, if not done. I just have to polish some sculpting for the muscles), a customizable 3D cartoon human character that just needs some additional controllers for the rig and some accessories, and at least "start" an action (SFW) animation with the 2 characters.

Beside, I will also, of course, work on the 3 commissions I have to make and do my best to send the 3 sketches as fast as I can.
# 2 - Some years ago, I decided to write each week a "weekly news", detailing where I was with my projects. So, in hope it'll help me to motivate me back, I will start posting weekly news again, so you'll all know what I did and what's my progression. 1st new "weekly news" message will be posted this week-end. Akelun here, to share some news with you.
I want to be honest with you, since January, I think I may have become depressed... I started to feel a bit better the previous week, but I may still be it a bit anyway.
Like often, when someone is depressed, I even played like I wasn't, convincing myself everything was alright. But yeah, whatever the efforts I wanted to do... efforts to search a job, efforts to start a project or continue my recent ones, like my comics, or even to start the commissions I accepted... my mind was ready and yelling to my body to go, but my body couldn't listen. I felt stuck. Even talking about it, admitting my depression seemed unacceptable.
The good news is that I think I've started to feel better. And from today, I decided to take 2 decisions, to see if it may help me being active again AND, more importantly, to avoid to go back into depression again.
# 1 - For this month at least, I will give myself objectives. The first objective is to finish the 3D model of Keluna (I have the modelling almost done, if not done. I just have to polish some sculpting for the muscles), a customizable 3D cartoon human character that just needs some additional controllers for the rig and some accessories, and at least "start" an action (SFW) animation with the 2 characters.

Beside, I will also, of course, work on the 3 commissions I have to make and do my best to send the 3 sketches as fast as I can.
# 2 - Some years ago, I decided to write each week a "weekly news", detailing where I was with my projects. So, in hope it'll help me to motivate me back, I will start posting weekly news again, so you'll all know what I did and what's my progression. 1st new "weekly news" message will be posted this week-end. Of course, all comments and questions are welcome. It could even be a good help to motivate me. So, feel free to talk to me. I don't bite. ^^

NEWS (Commission Status, No more back pain...)

First of all, sorry to all my commissionners for the long wait. As I explained to some, I had to deal with a big back pain recently. And as I started to feel better, I had to deal with administrative issues about my new freelance status, then it ruined my mood and motivation for a couple of days (But my back is healed now. Yeay ! ^^').
But I'm back to business now.
Currently, I may have finished my 1st commission (it was already done, but an extra was asked), so next, I will work on the sketch for TheXenoRaptor (I already started it, but wasn't satisfied, so I will redo it) and Kahns, then it will be Dragonniar's turn. I'll keep you all updated, and also, don't worry, I sometimes struggle to make the sketch, but once the sketch is done, I know where I'm going and can work faster.
Once again, sorry for the long wait and thank you for your patience.

A new start - v2.0

I intended to come back to you with this message like 2 weeks ago, approximately.
Indeed, a lot of things happened to me. Last time I wrote to you, I said I got a new job, which needed that I signed in as an official Freelance Artist. The plan was: "getting money with that job first, and beside of it, taking commissions / YCH and getting support from my Patreons as well to complete my wage, until I could change this new job from a freelancer status to a long-term contract.
It sounded like a great news for me and a great plan, isn't it?
Unfortunately, the contract didn't go as expected. There was a serious administrative issue, to put it simply, and I had to cancel the contract and to go back where I'm living after less than 1 week of work.
So, what does it imply?
As an answer, let's just say that I can now only rest on my financial aids I have the luck to have as a French citizen... and on the money I could make from commissions / YCH and Patreon. To be more precise, I have now to focus fully on the digital artworks (and maybe later, animations) I can make as Akelun. So from now on, I will do my best to be more active and more efficient here.
Of course, I can still try to find another job, to be sure I'll get a constant wage (and could still keep the freelance artist status). This is still a plan I have in mind, but for the moment, now that I'm done with (most of) administrative papers, I'll have to focus on my creations, and to count on you, to support me, if you like what I'm making.
So, I'm counting on you. Once again, if there's a chance for me to live from what I'm loving to create, please, feel free to express yourself and tell me what you'd like to see more from me, or if there are things you think I need to improve, or to offer to my Patreons... Anything you can suggest is welcome here.

IMPORTANT NEWS ( PLEASE READ )

I have important news to share with you.
Yesterday, I got a new mail. A mail I was prepared to receive, but unsure if it would be positive, or negative. And in the end... it was positive.
Yes, you heard it right, I got a new job! =D
YEAY!
However, this new job will also have an impact for one full month on my activity as "Akelun". And this impact is that I will have to move, quickly, from the South-East of France, to North-East. And I guess some of you may know what this is: calling all the services to find a new home, to say I will leave my current home, doing the boxes, cleaning my current home to leave it, selling the goods I can't move with me (probably the hardest part for me since I will have just 3 small weeks)...
Etc... Etc... I guess you get it. I will not have the time to be active for one full month.
The good news, though, is that I will start my new job as a "freelance artist". Which will also mean that, once I'm well settled, I should be able to work more actively on my comics again, and maybe even on commissions. YAY!
I'll come back to you, hopefully with new fresh content, once I'm done moving.

MONTHLY NEWS #9. Oct 2019 - COMIC

And... I missed again another month... And also almost missed October. LOL! XD
On another hand, I don't have a lot to say...
Recently, I made some new drawings. I'm really proud of what I manage to draw now and I'm also more active than I was before.
Actually, my health and mood are not at the best, but I won't complain about it. This is not the subject.
First of all, thank's to all the new people who follow me now... and to the people who keep following me of course.
I know I'm not very talkative or active on Internet, but I'm here and your support is really appreciated.
My comic project is progressing. Slowly, but surely. My first NSFW bonus chapter (first pages available in websites I submit NSFW stuff on, of course (FurAffinity, Weasyl, SoFurry, NSFW Twitter account)) is also a way to test how I could work with it by the way. The style is still subject to change, even if I'm kinda happy about what I'm able to produce.
Oh! And I also have finally given a decent description to those pages. Yeay! \o/
As I already said, I still intend to post my content on Patreon and / or SubscribeStar. The bonus for those who'll be ready to support my work on those websites would be to get personnal drawings as Early access (except for event drawings, like for Halloween / Christmas... for example) and pages of my comic in Early Access AND colour (instead of Black and White).
As a reminder, my comic is intended to be a mature project, but not fully NSFW. Just some bonus chapter will be... and some scenes which are intended to be horrific / a little erotic on regular chapters.
And even if drawons will be important, there will be less present on my comic than humans... but more for NSFW bonus chapters though.
And.... well, as for the news, I guess this is it.

MONTHLY NEWS #8. Aug 2019 - Moved well and back to work

Those latest days had been really intense for me... and still are a bit intense, btw.
What can I say? I moved on my own, all alone (happily, not very far from my previous home and with not a lot of things to carry.
I then spent some time with my family, went to Paris (I didn't see how bad Notre Dame was destroyed. Didn't have the time for that... and there are already tons of photos that show the disaster). Then I came back, slowly started some sketches for the next pages of my comic project... then I had a heavy pain at one of my teeth. I went to the urgency, cause the pain was too much to handle (they gave me a morphine pill), visit the dentist 2 days after, and learnt that my tooth that often causes me some pain and was, from what the previous dentist I visited said, "so perfect" had finally become a severe tooth decay... GREAT! XD
Don't worry though, my tooth is now fine... well, I avoid to eat with it, since the dentist take off a half of it to avoid an abscess, but at least, the pain is gone... I'm waiting the next appointment with the dentist to go to the next step.
Out of it, everything is fine, and I finally came back to work.
As for my comic, I begin to wonder if I won't try maybe to use both Patreon and SubscribeStar, and maybe to change a bit the dialogues of the 1st NSFW chapter to make it CLEAR that Keluna is consenting, so Patreon couldn't complain about it. Like this, if some of you want to support and to get an early access to my comic, you could do so on the website of your choice.

Patreon or SubscribeStar? What do you think?

As I said in the previous journal, I wanted to make this new journal to talk about the choice of websites to support my very ambitious comic project.
So, if you didn't read the previous journal (the monthly news of July 2019), I may plan to open a Patreon or SubscribeStar probably in coming August.
As a reminder, what I would suggest is not an exclusivity for all the pages of my comic on those websites, but an early-release (4 weeks earlier for the highest Tiers) with some bonus in the highest of highest Tier: Coloured pages instead of Black & White and highest resolution available.
Only the pages of new chapter's opening may be available in public websites in colour.
So, about the Tiers, what would I suggest?
Well, here comes my first idea:
Of course, we can still discuss about it. From what I compared from other artists, I think it should be fair enough, but if you have any other opinions, do not hesitate to tell me.
Then, we go to the final question: Patreon? Or SubscribeStar?
Apparently, from what I heard, the only difference between Patreon and SubscribeStar, financially talking, is that SubscribeStar can't accept payments via PayPal. I guess we should use Bank cards instead, or other kind of payments online...
BUT, I heard serious rumours saying that Patreon is unable to judge a NSFW content properly. They can delete a NSFW picture for any stupid reason as long as it's not an extremely vanilla sexual intercourse displayed in. And they have a very particular and personnal opinion about what is consensual or not, probably ignoring what a "kink" is by definition.
If you ignore the story, recently, Patreon decided to ban NSFW content implying hypnosis, sissyfication, some kind of bondage, etc...
In theory, this should not be a problem for me, since I'm still quite soft in what I draw. The most hardcore things I can draw are bondage and chastity.
Though, in my comic project, I won't spoil it, but I can say that the 1st NSFW bonus chapter is at the limit of a consented situation... but is of course consented or I wouldn't intend to draw it.
However, will Patreon accept that "it is consented or I wouldn't draw it" excuse?
Probably not.
Plus, my comic could display in the future some violence and sexual slavery. Of course, it will be censored and displayed as something horrible. Like the scene in Berserk when Guts gets raped while he was a kid. I wouldn't go as extreme as this scene is, but I would make sure this kind of scene would be censured. For the good sake of moral ethic.
However, if that's censored, will Patreon accept this kind of pages to be submitted in their websites?
Maybe not.
So, in the end, SubscribeStar seems to be a better choice, since I heard that most of the NSFW artists with content banned by Patreon are going there and that they are more tolerant, mature and open-minded about kinks.
But... that's where I need your opinion.
What do you think about SubscribeStar? Is it really a good alternative to Patreon?
Should I try to give a chance to Patreon though?

BUT, I heard serious rumours saying that Patreon is unable to judge a NSFW content properly. They can delete a NSFW picture for any stupid reason as long as it's not an extremely vanilla sexual intercourse displayed in. And they have a very particular and personnal opinion about what is consensual or not, probably ignoring what a "kink" is by definition.
If you ignore the story, recently, Patreon decided to ban NSFW content implying hypnosis, sissyfication, some kind of bondage, etc...
In theory, this should not be a problem for me, since I'm still quite soft in what I draw. The most hardcore things I can draw are bondage and chastity.
Though, in my comic project, I won't spoil it, but I can say that the 1st NSFW bonus chapter is at the limit of a consented situation... but is of course consented or I wouldn't intend to draw it.
However, will Patreon accept that "it is consented or I wouldn't draw it" excuse?
Probably not.
Plus, my comic could display in the future some violence and sexual slavery. Of course, it will be censored and displayed as something horrible. Like the scene in Berserk when Guts gets raped while he was a kid. I wouldn't go as extreme as this scene is, but I would make sure this kind of scene would be censured. For the good sake of moral ethic.
However, if that's censored, will Patreon accept this kind of pages to be submitted in their websites?
Maybe not.
So, in the end, SubscribeStar seems to be a better choice, since I heard that most of the NSFW artists with content banned by Patreon are going there and that they are more tolerant, mature and open-minded about kinks.
But... that's where I need your opinion.
What do you think about SubscribeStar? Is it really a good alternative to Patreon?
Should I try to give a chance to Patreon though?

MONTHLY NEWS #7. Jul 2019 - Patreon / Subscribe Star? Comic?

I prepared a monthly news for the month of May, but I forgot to submit it... My bad... ><
Latest monthly news was in January then... which makes now this kind of journal... not really monthly any more... XP
But that also means that there are a lot of news.
1st of all:
Since March, I got a new job. A permanent contract with a decent pay. FINALLY!
For that occasion, I have to move and to finally leave my parents for good. The little dragon finally left his nest, we can say. XP
I will also move soon, in the mid-July until the end-July. So, I may be inactive again during that small period.
2ndly, As you may noticed, I decided to start my big comic project.
After all, now that I found a decent permanent job, I can focus more in my spare time on personnal project, and this is really awesome!
For the moment, because I will move again soon... to leave a very small house for a decent one, I give a break to this project, and will probably keep going on it in August... or the end of July at best.
This also leads me to the final point of this (monthly) news:
Getting money from my comic project. Which Bring me to the idea of opening a Patreon OR a SubscribeStar with Tiers. But I will open a debate on what I should choose on the next journal, on the websites I use for my NSFW content (FurAffinity / Weasyl / SoFurry).
I had this idea because even if I got a permanent contract job, I'm working at a small society, which can at any moment become a failure and close. And in that case, if I could get enough Patreons / Subscribers, then I could finally start my comic as a full time project.

1. The pages will not be in the highest resolution (it will be in a very correct resolution though, you do not have to worry too much about it).
2. The pages will be submitted in public websites 4 weeks after it has been in the highest Tier.
3. The pages will be in Black & White (because colours asks a lot of time and I think it would be well deserved for my Patreons / Subscribers to get an exclusive access to the coloured pages).
Of course, for the moment, nothing is decided. I still wait to move and be well installed before starting what I plan to do. You can still tell me your opinions about my plans though.
On the next journal, which should come quite soon, I will tell more about the Tiers I would suggest AND I will open a small debate about Patreon / SubscribeStar.

That moment when...
Posted 6 years agoThat moment when you're working on a BIOLOGY lab, but one colleague doesn't know that if you got flu and you're coughing, you need to put your hand in front of your mouth to avoid infecting everyone. Now, one week of forcing rest for me... The monthly news will be out later.
1 lesson to get from this: If you're sick, make sure to ALWAYS avoid infecting your partners! And if you're not able to do that, then, stay home!

MONTHLY NEWS #5. Jan 2019 - HAPPY NEW YEAR

2018 is now behind us, and for an occasion like this one, it is a tradition to wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you.
When I have to look back in 2018, I have to say that, as for me, the year began quite well. I was active and full of hope with how my future will turn out. Unfortunately, this year ended very very bad.
I hope that I won't have to experiment the same things for 2019.
As for my digital creations and projects, since the beginning of December, I didn't create a lot, I have to admit. There is just a 3D model of my herm dragon, Keluna, I'm making with the help of a very good friend and which you can find a WIP right here: https://twitter.com/AkelunArts/stat.....30565682089984 .
Concerning new resolutions, I'm not used to take new resolutions for the new year. But I'm still focusing on trying to be more productive, working for my comic project and let behind me all the bad events from 2018 which made me feel down.
And as a conclusion, either you take new resolutions or not for the new year, I hope 2019 will be good for all of you.

MONTHLY NEWS #4. Dec 2018 - Plans for the future

My latest monthly journal which was posted now 3 to 4 months ago, ended like this:
"My future is unsure, but I do my best to keep my good spirit and stay positive. Because that's my philosophy."
Well... there are news... I had plans. Plans to finally find a correct and decent jobs. Plans to live correctly... And I FAILED! Everything. Miserably.
Particularly ONE plan! The biggest one.
Not even because I JUST failed! But only because others were better than me.
And... NO! Even that is not precise enough! It's not that they were better than me. It's just that they were better to INTRODUCE themselves!
There was just before the introduction a practical test. And on this test, I heard from someone reliable that I was probably in the top 3 of all the persons who were taking the test. TOP. THREE!!!
But no... Who cares I am very good and ready for an intensive course? Well, apparently, nobody.
And believe me. If you have thought that failing is really a horrible feeling, well, I can tell you that succeeding and then learning you're not selected is far FAR worse! Especially when you play your whole life in it.
So... from this, you can understand I felt REALLY bad! There was no "keep my good spirit and stay positive" in that situation. I couldn't. Hence the 3 months lacking between the previous monthly update and this one.
So, in the end, what's up? What do I intend to do? Keeping feeling down forever?
Of course not.
After 3 months, I started forgetting about all of this very bad and unpleasant experience. I'm back to business. And I have started preparing some other plans... and some other projects.
Right now, I'm working of several references for new characters. Characters who are intended to be in my comic project.
Once again, I'm progressing slowly, but I'm progressing. Please, stay patient... even if I have the feeling not a lot of my watchers are watching this journal. Heh! Heh! ^^
(I can't blame you, I don't read a lot of journals or news neither... But it is important for me to keep posting news. To stop feeling bad and inactive.)
As for commissions, they're still open... but I probably will focus on my drawings mostly until I'm in 2 weeks vacations for Christmas and the new year.

MONTHLY NEWS #3. August 2018 - Health and commissions

Do not worry, everything is fine... or at least seems to be not too bad for the moment.
I precise that because the title may have misled you and because this monthly news, that I intended to post in July 1st, or at least at beginning of this month, came 1 month and a half later. XP
I know nobody (or almost nobody) take the time to read this journal. It's not as if I was popular yet after all. But I'm keen on keeping posting them as frequently as I could, keeping a good rythm of 1 monthly news per... well, per month, of course, to force me to keep a minimum of activity on the net.
And to be honest... everything is not so bad, but the title is not a lie neither.
First of all, I left my new home and came back to my parents' home... yes, I considere that a bad news, even if financially, it helps me feeling better. I was intending to maybe start a freelance artist job, but I was not very clever about it, since I was visibly not popular and / or active enough to do that. At the moment, I received some "I may be interested" or "I could pay you some day", but nobody paid me for commissions since I've opened them... and I can perfectly understand that, for the moment. ^^'
Though, I'm still open for commissions, if anyone is interested. But, since I came back in my parents' home, I may not be as fast as I would have been if I was at home, especially this summer, for NSFW commissions. I can also propose special offer for the first persons who will commission me (some persons have already reserved a -20% for a potential future commission).
Finally, in term of health, I feel like something is not at best. I couldn't really explain it. Sometimes, I feel great, and some other times, I feel exhausted, sometimes I wake up with a little headache... maybe it's just the heat... probably it is the lack of physical training because of the heat... but yeah, I don't feel like I'm in a good health, and I hesitate to go see a doctor. Maybe I should... Who knows? Either I'm going to feel better for September, and then, you'll know it when I'll post the next monthly update... or not and then, I'll go see my doctor.
Whatever... Despite all of it, there's nothing really new to say... which can also explain why I was so long posting this monthly update. Ah! Yes! I also focused on some 3D animations. My objective is to prepare a new Video Demo Reel for 2018 to replace my Demo Reel which is from 2014. Because yes, if you didn't know, I followed a 3D animation school training of 3 years between 2010 and 2014. So... I try to persevere again in that domain in hope to find a job in it... since it appears it'll be my only hope to get a CORRECT job paid 2'000 € per month instead of 1'250... OR I could keep focusing on my idea of working as an artist freelance... but I guess I'll need to post a lot more in order to gain more watchers / followers. ^^
Ah! And on a less important note, I've also signed in to Furrific and e621.

NEED HELP - Analyzing difference male and female quadruped

The objective of this journal is in the title.
I need your help to know how to draw correctly a male and a female quadruped correctly. How should I draw a quadruped (feral) character to make someone thinking (without having to make the drawing mature or NSFW of course), if it's a male or a female?
- Should the neck be thinner on a female
- Should the hips be larger or thinner?
- Should the thighs be larger in side view and thinner in front view? Or thinner - thinner? Or larger - larger? ...?
- ...
Because... I know how I should proceed for humans or anthro animals. It is a basis in drawing.
However, I searched a lot, especially for dragons, since it's what I want to draw correctly, but I don't find any good help. And I don't manage to guess by myself how I can really make the difference.
So, if anyone of you can help me, I'd be really grateful.
