Idk, I was going through my old sketchbooks before I moved to Brooklyn for my new job, and I took some pictures of old stuff I didn't upload it seems! There's still some other stuff probably but I do think about wanting to draw very often. It just never seems like a good time to do so, a lot of pressure to do my best with something instead of just drawing for fun. I have a perfectionist complex which makes "trying" very difficult. There are a lot of friends I want to draw gifts for some day though. I hope I can get the time and state of mind to do that some day.

Correction, it was an internship so I did full time hours with part time pay :P

Basically my scenario is, I've moved to DC and I have free time to work hard. I am in the middle of the job search process so its kind of long and slow. I need to pay to live so I figured I'd come back to draw for furries :3

I only want to start with sketches at first, I think they'd be a fine enough warm-up. I spend a couple hours per sketch, I'll usually take my time to correct and redraw. My sketches usually go through 2 drafts before I am happy with them!

ok artist and or commissioner, I'm sure nintendo or whatever is going to (acknowledge and) take down your smut because you didn't explicitly state a clearly iconic character is not actually owned by you.

every time someone writes a little "pikachu is owned by pokemon" or something similar I just lose a chunk my little faith in humanity. Writing something so obvious just bugs me so much.

Please explain to me why artists actually do this. There is no way a company is going to intervene, do you have any idea what kind of shit press that would cause? That would have meant, like, an employee looked at your fetishy porn, debated taking action, and then associated all of this press with the company's name. Have I ever done this by accident? I don't even remember. if so I'm definitely more of an idiot than I thought.

College is very demanding on my time and energy, usually if I draw its usually just a doodle in my design sketchbook. Design is a much different life than art, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Design is an art, but it is a much different kind of art; much like how dance and cinematography are arts but are not similarly performed. I no longer have a "style" and my Wacom tablet has been collecting dust. I'm afraid this is going to be a very long hiatus for illustration work.

I still log on here every now and then though, I still greatly appreciate illustration, and of course, furry dicks. I know and foresaw that this site however would go under as soon as more functional and modern alternatives rose up. However, multiple are springing up relatively at the same time, and many artists are scattering to different gallery sites. The problem with this is that there needs to be a monopoly, a winner website, that gathers the majority of content creators and content viewers. And I don't know which site is winning or is going to win.

Some of you might have a stronger pulse on the whereabouts of the top artists on this site better than others. Where do you think people should go and why? I am trying to figure out where I can go that will have all the people I like to watch in one place.

well, this happened a few months ago but kind of explains my absence. I've lost my wacom pen, not the tablet but the pen so it's not as bad. I think I'd have to be drawing day and night at this point. I haven't been able to find a job that isn't totally shit and now the whole money thing is pulling lots of stress on me and my family. The only thing I can really draw with is a pencil or my 3DS which isn't so bad but can be harder to control than just sai. Speaking of SAI, my art has blown ass since I used photoshop so I think I'll be going back to it when I can...

I'm fully aware of a certain someone's reference sheet but I'd have to start from scratch... again lol. So if that is fine with you then note me and I'll see if I can do it on the 3DS.

Yeah I'm doing 3D stuff now in cinema 4D and doing some app interface designs this year, much "cooler" than last year and I've definitely gotten better at design. Looking sexier every time! Design can be much sexier than yiff yaff imo

3D Rifles are a reality now, they work, they shoot bullets and can literally be printed from someone's bedroom. The creators believe they are in the right because they are preventing censorship for the sake that it is censorship and that you can't ban making shapes that just happen to form a gun. I think of how people come about with a desire for an assault rifle "I want a 3D printed rifle" why? What would it be used for? What are you planning to shoot with it? This is where I get stuck and I become very concerned. What are the uses for a rifle other than harming a victim?

You have to ask the question on what creates the desire for a rifle like this. They can say "I want a rifle, not a hunting rifle but a military grade weapon" but why, just because? These guys seem to be saying "Just because we can" but what about the /real/ users? What would their motives be that they'd go so far? This is where things go gray and twisted, this is where it all feels wrong.

Have you ever set up shop in a convention? If you use Paypal often as your main method of payment for commissions like I do you probably would like "Paypal Here" which allows people to pay for your work with credit/debit cards wherever you are with an iOS device and a connection (wifi/3G/4G). I'd suggest this option since people don't have to run back and forth for ATMs that might not be convenient to their banks and instead of fumbling around with cash you just swipe. You can add Set Prices in the apps as Items so say you're selling prints or books you don't have to re-enter the prices.

Surprisingly both the App and the Card Reader are free, the only thing that is worth noting is that Paypal takes a 2.7% fee which I can deal with. The only alternative to this I think is Square but I don't have an account with square and the card reader costs $10 ON TOP of the 2.7% fee per sale. https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/.....it-card-reader is the link if you want to sign up and check it out.

I feel confident enough to break the mold and start taking commissions again, something I haven't actually done in what feels like forever! I currently face a grim high cost of College tuition and I am willing to break beads of sweat and endless nights to get there.

Anyways! You probably want good art and I, the artist, wants to make good art! I am more than willing to step out of my usual areas (like Hazard the Shark) and step into new beautiful/awesome territory like backgrounds, perspective, action, sex, love, different body builds and so on.

I don't know what I'm worth really but I can give a very reasonable price after telling me (via notes) what you'd like. Sooner you commission me the cheaper the price will be! I don't have a limit on slots since I'm obviously not overwhelmed now. I believe I can finish a commission under a week or less since speed efficiency is also a goal of mine.

typically cost factors are from the amount of characters, being a sketch or a full out illustration, detail of clothing/armor or time-consuming special effects. But expect a single character with color and no bg to be around $30!

while I procrastinate from drawing because I'm a wimp I am learning WordPress and making Themes for Wordpress. personally I'm anxious about drawing again, I havent done it in a while at least for furry or digital illustration. I know however I need to be able to pay my tuition for next year so I need to raise myself at least $1,000 this summer to cover my fall quarter and continue from there.

I dont want to open commissions just yet I want to be able to prove myself that I've definitely upped my skill over the last year by making an example out of the reference sheet I'm doing for my ex's Hazard shark character. Because I need a decent chunk of cash and I'd essentially be making commission work as my summer job this time around (no way in hell am I working at an amusement park AGAIN) I'd need to be upping the prices too. however, I want to be sure that the increase in price would be worth it to you all.

Please comment, I would really appreciate thoughts and stuff, I am somewhat confused at the moment!

I have about a month left of school, I know I seem dead still lol but I have final projects to work on both digital and traditional. I'll finish the Hazard reference If you want to see what I did in about an hour, I've gotten a shit ton better in just about every way http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/.....o/ca7677dd.jpg notice how it now looks more like a shark LOL! I'm looking for a different job than the one I've been working the past 3 years, it's stale and I can do better. I might even open up commissions to work on full-time so I can pay my college tuition. I don't have a co-signer on a loan and since my parents had a bankruptcy they can't take out that kind of a loan wooh :(

I can't wait as soon as I have time to create finished art to see how far I've come after this much of a break from anthro work. I've been working with fine-arts all year and it's been... interesting. I'd really recommend it even if it sounds boring!

I havent seen anyone top this today, PLUS google maps also now has an 8-bit feature INCLUDING 8-bit Streetview. Google really loves April Fools Day, huh!

A lot has been going on! I've been doing projects left and right, fumbling, experimenting and producing in the time I've seemed to be MIA on the internet. I still check regularly and Expect future posts from me on what I've been up to! I have to choose what I think is worth posting, and when a lot of these projects give me only 1-2 days I can't refine any of this :/

The quarter system is very fast and the projects will slow down and grow in difficulty as the basics are being pushed aside.

In terms of specifics, some things I've done this quarter that are new:

Learned the basics of Flash CS5.5 Animation
Refined drawing proportions, apparently surprised my drawing prof.
Two or Three stop motion shorts
Learned to hate coming up with abstract stop motion subjects
Two or Three poster designs for work (not including smaller document designs)
A conceptual pushpin business logo

Lots more to do, wish I had more time to refine and perfect these projects but I guess I'll have to cope with it.
