More regarding last journal
Posted 6 years agoHello again, all!
I realize things might be a bit confusing with how I closed commissions suddenly and haven't been open consistently and everything. This journal will be a bit more personal, but for those who want to know more about my reasoning and what's going on, hopefully this will help a little bit.
Basically, I reopened commissions earlier this month primarily out of desperation, as I didn't have a job lined up after graduation. I've been planning for a while to change how I do commissions, because at my current rate I only earn about $5 an hour (averaged across all the commission types I take), after taxes, and obviously that's not even close to enough to live on. I was going to make all these changes once I graduated college, but reopened without changing anything instead, because it seemed easier and faster. Plus, furry commissions are fun!
Now I'm realizing that not having another job is all the more reason to make sure I'm earning a sustainable wage. Even though I've only gotten a few commissions in the past month, I'm feeling burnt out. I've been hesitant to change anything because I know my prices are already higher than average for the fandom, but now I'm feeling more decisive about finding a way to work that's fair to me. So I've determined that I'm going to focus on doing other things to support myself for now (at the moment, finding a steady "day job" and building my portfolio toward more practical artistic pursuits like scientific illustration). If I do more commissions in the future, I'm going to raise my rates significantly, and it will be on a more limited basis (although admittedly, I already don't do very many just because there's not a lot of demand - another reason I've waited so long to raise my prices).
I wanted to close for a while and consider it before I implemented these changes, rather than suddenly double my prices or more without warning. It may seem like I've been in this art business for a while, since I've been on FA for six and a half years and I've been taking commissions for at least four of those, but in reality, I feel like I'm only just now figuring out what I want to do and where to go.
I'll still be doing furry art for fun, but perhaps less frequently, since I have a lot of creative pursuits I want to put time toward.
If anyone has any questions or concerns, I'd be happy to answer them! But this is where things are at the moment for me. Hopefully it's understandable, and I apologize for all the rapid changes! I'm aiming to make things more predictable if/when I decide to take more furry commissions in the future.

Closing Commissions on Friday
Posted 6 years agoHello all,
After some consideration, I have decided to close commissions for now, and will only be taking submissions on my quote form through the end of the day tomorrow (Thursday, June 27th). I may write a more detailed journal as to why later, once I consider how to do so, but for now, what I know is that if I do offer commissions again in the future, it will most likely be in a considerably different way.
If you've ever wanted a commission from me, I encourage you to fill out my quote form by the end of the day on Thursday to ensure that you get a spot!
https://forms.gle/c946HRJRGhoc4ird9
Additionally, for anyone whom I have already spoken to about offers or quote submissions, those quotes will still stand, so don't worry!

More Commission Openings On June 4th
Posted 6 years agoHello all!
I wanted to announce that will be opening slots for more types of commissions on Tuesday, June 4th at 3 PM Eastern time! You can see the prices and types that I will be opening for at this submission here.
For now I will be offering digital art, traditional badges, reference sheets, and bookmarks. If you want a digital badge, I will still be open for those also, on a donation basis through the Naturama Project. More information on that here!
I may open for traditional commissions again sometime in the future, when I can afford to raise my prices more, but for now those will be on hold.

Naturama 2019 - Commission Slots Opening Soon
Posted 6 years agoHello all,
The Naturama Project is starting up for this year. I'll be participating again and taking commissions to collect donations for the World Wildlife Fund!
For the project, I'll be offering my digital deluxe badges at a donation of 50 Euro (~$55 USD). The price is lower than my normal commissions as it will not include shipping. The Naturama Project is amazing in that it allows me to connect with artists and clients from other countries, but that does introduce a bit of a logistical challenge! So this year I decided to simply offer something digital, instead of dealing with the costs of mailing artwork overseas.
I'll be posting another journal and submission once I officially open for these, most likely sometime this weekend!
There's a chance I might be opening commissions as normal in the next month or so, too. As of right now, I don't have a job lined up after I graduate, so I might need to take commissions so that I have some income in the space between when I move back home and I'm able to find a job. I'll post an update on this in a few weeks once I have a better idea of what's going on!

Schoolwork
Posted 6 years agoHello all,
Wanted to keep you up to date regarding my art during April, since I know it's been a quiet month so far.
Unfortunately I'm falling a little bit behind on schoolwork. The last week has been rough for me emotionally, and at the same time one of my toughest professors decided to give out two assignments for the week instead of the usual one. So, things got bad pretty fast. I'll probably be focused on catching up (and staying caught up) for the next month until the class is over, especially since Anime Boston is next week.
I have a couple pieces I've completed recently that I've stored up, but I'll probably be focusing less on posting on FA and other social media until I feel I have things more under control.
To anyone to whom I still owe art (commissions, my recent Facebook giveaway, etc.) I will still be chipping away at those, and deadlines shouldn't be affected!
I should be back to my normal rhythm in May, possibly even more active, since the last assignment for this class is due on May 9th and I'll be focusing especially hard on my artistic career after that!

Spring 2019 Commissions Closed
Posted 6 years agoHello all,
Wanted to let everyone know that commissions are now closed! I had one more commission slot open, but graduation is in less than three months, and I think it would be wise for me to use the time to do schoolwork, apply for jobs (since I won't be able to support myself on commissions), and otherwise take care of my mental health.
All commissions from ANE and those who have already talked to me about commissions will be completed, but after my queue is empty, I'm going to put a hold on new commissions for a few months. Stay tuned, and I'll keep everyone updated with my schedule closer to graduation!
If you want to support me in the meantime, and help me get to the point where I CAN make a living on art, please check out my Patreon!

Opening Commission Slots for Spring 2019
Posted 6 years agoHello all,
I'm back from Anthro New England, which was a wonderful experience, and as promised, I'm opening commissions online as well! In this opening there will be two slots available, and commissions will close again once these slots are claimed.
Because I'm limiting it this time, be sure to fill out my commission form to claim a slot as soon as possible if you're interested!
The commission types and prices for this opening can be found here. This breakdown seemed to work well at ANE, so I'm using it for these online slots also. The changes I've made from my last commission openings are:
- Added Digital Flat Color as an option
- Prices for traditional media have been increased slightly to reflect the greater amount of time they take
These commission slots will be added onto the end of my queue and will be completed after my commissions from ANE are finished.

Regarding Commissions for Spring 2019
Posted 6 years agoHello everyone,
With ANE coming up I wanted to let everyone know my plans for taking commissions in these next few months.
I haven't officially opened for all commissions yet, since I've been preparing for ANE, and I'll be testing out some slight changes when I'm in the Artist Alley there. I'm planning to add a couple of commission types, and I'll be adjusting prices to better reflect the amount of time and materials that each type takes. More on this in about a week, after ANE!
I have taken a couple of commissions on an individual basis recently, though I haven't opened publicly because with my current class schedule and ANE, turnaround times may get a bit long. I will keep everyone updated with how it goes at ANE, But, unless I get absolutely swamped, my current plan is to open commissions online on Monday February 25th at noon EST (after I return), with the condition that things may take a bit longer than usual to complete (1-4 weeks per person after you get to the top of the queue, depending on the complexity of the project). This way, I can continue to add to my portfolio of fandom-related work as college graduation nears.
Thanks for reading, and stay tuned!

Anthro New England 2019 Artist Alley!
Posted 7 years agoHey all,
I'm thrilled to announce that I will be in Anthro New England's Artist Alley on Sunday, February 24th! I haven't done any AAs since the summer of 2017, so I'm really excited for this opportunity.
If you're going to be at the con, please feel free to come say hi! Commissions will be open, and I'll have some prints and bookmarks as well.
Who else will be there?

My Art Going Into 2019
Posted 7 years agoFirst of all, Happy New Year everyone!
2019 is going to be a big year for me with college graduation, so I wanted to write a short journal.
My goal until now has been to get to the point where I can support myself on art at least part-time by the time I graduate in June. Now... I'm not so sure that's going to happen, since I'm nowhere near where I need to be to make a consistent income without burning myself out. I don't think I can get there in less than five months. Still, while I'm still in college, I'll try to find a way of working that's profitable at the same time that I try to make my work more cohesive (since my style and media are kind of all over the place right now XD).
Additionally, I just applied to the Anthro New England 2019 Artist Alley - it's a lottery system, so I'm crossing my fingers that I get in! I hope to EVENTUALLY sell art at more conventions after I'm graduate, so I'm hoping this will help get that started a little better!
2019 is overall looking pretty open and uncertain for me at the moment, so thanks to everyone who's stuck with me this far.

Graduation, Art, and Continuing in the Fandom
Posted 7 years agoHello all,
As I'm coming to the end of my first round of fall commissions, I wanted to write down some thoughts I've had about my artwork moving forward. I post this publicly not only to communicate my plans for the future, but also so that others can offer their responses and input. You are more than welcome to comment if you have any suggestions, thoughts, advice, etc.!
First of all, welcome to all of my new watchers! For those who aren't familiar, I'm currently a senior in art college and graduating next June, and I feel like I've hit some pretty major milestones recently (500 watchers over the summer, and 600 just recently). So I'm excited to see what this means in terms of my work in the fandom in the future!
I only have a little over 7 months before June 1st, when I graduate and am expected to become financially independent. So, I've been doing a lot of thinking about my career, how art will be involved, and specifically how furry art will be involved.
Over the summer I did a professional, full-time internship in book design with a publishing company. At the same time, I took furry commissions in order to make some income (the internship was unpaid), and because it felt like otherwise my life was missing something. It would typically take me a weekend to complete a character commission and two weekends (1-2 weeks total) to complete a full illustration. I loved it, but it was easy to burn out working a 40-hour-per-week internship plus spending 10-20 hours a week on commissions. If I tried to work faster, I would start feel exhausted and take a week or two to get back to my normal self. And this was assuming I didn’t go out and do anything on the weekends (I was in a small town, so I didn’t have many furry meetups or anything). So while it was a good experience, it made me wonder about how I am going to stay active making furry art once I graduate.
I often feel frustrated because I seem to work slow. My teachers say 10-20+ hours to complete a fully detailed painting with scenery (7-12 hours for a piece of fullbody character art depending on how detailed the design is) isn’t slow. However, to me it seems WAY slower than many artists in the furry fandom, save for a few very experienced and sought-after ones, and slower than many of my peers at art college too.
I wouldn’t be super concerned about it except for that “time is money” is true in a sense too. Right now, I’m only making about $5-10 an hour on most commissions I do (depending on the type – ref sheets on the higher end, digital stuff in the middle, and traditional stuff on the lower end). That’s BEFORE taxes, and self-employment taxes are high. So in order for my commissions to be profitable, something I can actually support myself with when I don’t have parents paying for things and not be constantly burned out or behind on my queue, it won’t work how it is now. I’d need to do some combination of two things. One, just plain work faster. Two, raise my commission prices (and find ways to add quality to justify those higher prices, since my prices are already on the higher end for the fandom). I’ve been trying to find ways to speed up since I’ve arrived at college, but have mostly been frustrated with the results, and have a hard time making things not look rushed.
So, moving forward I might reconsider how I take commissions and where I get income from. I may do more YCHes to cut time spent on sketching, or only take commissions in slots on school breaks for now so I don’t feel so stressed about balancing them with classwork. I’ve already attempted Patreon, which has been up since March, using all the sketches and content OTHER than finished pieces that I’m constantly producing. The success of that has been mild at best. (If you’re interested in sketches and process work, and helping me keep furry art a part of my career going forward, you can check it out here!) I’d like to try livestreaming or something, but it’s hard to be brave enough to invest the time and money in a setup and a schedule when I’m not sure people would be interested in watching.
My main idea right now is my portfolio. If I can spend some time with self-directed projects, I can continue to practice in media I have but don’t take commissions in (yet), AND have art that would make decent prints to sell online and at conventions, and that would showcase my best illustration skills in my portfolio.
I’m nervous, because I’ve only ever sold 3 or 4 things on Redbubble in the time I’ve had my shop up (a year now, I think), and even if I start now it’s going to take a REALLY long time for me to get even close to making a profit on prints and merchandise. And, I’m only just now getting to the point where I can get commissions at least fairly consistently. I’m worried if I stop for a while or raise my prices again, I’m going to lose that momentum. Ultimately, it could be more profitable in the long run, since with merch I could have more passive income and more stock if I decide to get into doing Artist Alleys (which I’ve really liked in the past). I don’t know though.
Those are my unresolved thoughts for now. I have a couple of weeks to consider my options, since I have Furpocalypse and Animaine coming up (attending, not selling) and I’m not anticipating having a lot of time to work on more projects outside school until those are done. But if anyone has any business experience, art experience, ideas about opportunity cost, opinions, reassurance, criticism, whatever thoughts you may have… please let me know! Being so close to graduation, I’m at the point where it feels like anything I do could have a major impact. And yes, it's true that I don't have to be making money or selling stuff to count as an artist in the fandom. However, I enjoy furry art more than anything else I've tried that can make money, and making it at least part of my career is definitely a way to make sure it stays a significant part of my life after I graduate, not just something I can maybe find a couple hours for here and there.
If you read all of this, you have my endless appreciation. XD

Commission Opening Postponed to 2 PM Due to Maintenance
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone,
In regards to the planned maintenance on FA today, I decided to postpone my commission opening to 2 PM EDT. This is to make sure everyone on every site can access commissions as soon as they are open, and to prevent difficulty getting to reference images and such that may be stored on FA.
Thanks for your understanding, and I'm sorry if this change in timing is inconvenient for anyone!

Computer Back!
Posted 7 years agoHi all!
Just a quick update that I've gotten my computer back and it's working! I am SO relieved right now. It will be much easier for me to manage messages and e-mails and generally be active on FA again. And of course, commissions will be opening on Friday as planned!

Computer Repairs + Commissions Opening Friday 9/21
Posted 7 years agoHello again,
First off, computer repairs: I have finally managed to get a (somewhat) solid completion date from the repair shop. I am sorry for any confusion or disappointment I have caused by having commissions closed for so long, in spite of having an ad up that says they are open! Believe me, I'm frustrated too - the shop said it would take 24 to 48 hours to determine whether they could fix my computer, but it took them four days... And now after being told on Wednesday the repair would take "only a few days", I'm told it will be done sometime around the coming Wednesday to Friday. So on top of the expenses of the repairs, it's been an opportunity cost in that I've had commissions closed for over two weeks. I had no idea it would take that long! So, my apologies for the unexpected extended period of closure.
On the plus side, in light of this information, I know now that commissions will be opening again soon! After my first week of classes, my impression is that this semester, I'll be able to work on commissions 1-2 days a week (concentrated on weekends), with work interspersed on weekdays as my classwork allows. So a bit slower than I was able to work over the summer, but faster than previous academic years. I'll be reopening for the digital character art and reference sheets that I'm SUPPOSED to be open for (XD), and adding on two kinds of traditional badges: one "standard" size that will be $40 including US shipping, and one "deluxe" size that will be larger with a background, which will be $60 including US shipping. I'm going to hold off on traditional character art for the moment until I get a better feel for the rhythm of my classwork, since those tend to take me the longest.
You can find the most up-to-date information about commissions on my website at https://aki-rain-art.weebly.com/commissions.html
Something else to note is, I will be limiting the number of commissions I take this time. This is because I will need to close commissions for about a month in mid-to-late October until mid-November—I have two conventions planned very close to each other (Furpocalypse on October 26-28 and Animaine on November 9-11), and I will need that time to keep on top of my schoolwork. So I will only be taking as many commissions as I can complete in the next month. This would mean about 4-5 smaller pieces or 2-3 larger pieces. If I work faster than I expect, I will open additional slots later!
My plan is to launch the commission form on Friday at noon Eastern time, so that I can get any commissions sorted out during the day and then begin on Saturday. Keep an eye out to make sure you get a spot!
As always I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Thanks for reading everyone!

Computer Update
Posted 7 years agoHi all,
Another quick journal from my phone to update on the computer/commission situation!
The fix will take a few more days (this place has been slow about getting back to me, so I can only hope that’s true - believe me, I’m frustrated that I’ve had to close commissions for so long!) Digital commissions will resume as soon as I get it back since it’s unfortunately not a cheap fix! May also open for traditional badge commissions this weekend to get a head start on recovering the cost, depending on workload. Stay tuned and thanks again for your patience!

Computer Repairs - Digital Commissions Briefly on Hold
Posted 7 years agoHi everyone,
Quick journal because I am on the go but I want to make sure to keep everyone updated!
My computer needs fixing so I’m going to put digital commissions on hold for a few days until I know how long it will take. I don’t want to leave anyone’s commissions in limbo for that time, so I’ll be closing briefly until I know the schedule for repairs. In the meantime I’ll be working on opening up traditional types! I have some new badge examples in the works, and once those are done I’ll likely open up other traditional commissions at the same time. :D
Thanks all!

Back to School + Sept Commission Updates Coming Soon
Posted 7 years agoHello all,
Summer is drawing to a close, which means I'm returning to college for my senior year. Classes will start, but I'll also have access to all of my traditional art materials. So, I'm hoping to be able to open for more commission types once I get settled into my schedule! But for the first week or two of September, commission will stay as they have been for July and August, with a focus on digital drawings and reference sheets (though if you're interested in discounted traditional character art, I'm still open for donations to the Naturama Project!)
I'm hoping to be able to open for badges and perhaps bookmarks. I just have to make some new examples, and double check to be certain that the lamination machine I stored over the summer is still working! :P
Thanks for reading this brief update!

Public Commission Queue/Waitlist
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone,
This will be a brief journal! People have expressed interest in being able to see artists’ queues, so I’ve decided to try out a public chart of my current commissions! Clients can opt either to use their screenname, or to be listed anonymously. I'm hoping this will help to increase transparency about my workload and times with both current and potential clients!
You can find the chart linked to on my main FA page, on my website, or go to it quickly here!
There's nothing on it yet because I didn't want to retroactively put clients on there who didn't know about it. But going forward, I'll be using it to log commissions and completion times!
Please let me know if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions!
Thanks!

Schedule Change - More Time for Furry Art!
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone!
I bring some brief but good news. I have one month remaining in my internship. And, because of the pace of work at the publishing company at the moment, I have today and the four remaining Fridays in August (and thus my internship) off. This means I'll have one more day per week to dedicate to the furry side of things, which I'm thrilled about!
The pace at which I complete work will be a bit faster than in July. And my queue for commissions is empty as of completing my most recent piece. So, if you're looking to commission artwork or a reference sheet, now is a great time ;D (form here)
In between commissions I'll be completing personal pieces, and applying what I've learned so far at my internship to do some more design and graphic-oriented work for my furry stuff! I'd like to have a new banner for Twitter and my website, as well as some consistent design elements for my commission sheets and such.
Thanks for reading! Looking forward to the rest of August!

FYI: More Patreon Tier Tweaking
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone,
I wanted to let everyone know that I've made slight changes to my available tiers. All patrons with current pledges will NOT experience any difference, as I have only made changes to tiers with NO patrons yet. If I ever make any changes that will even slightly affect current pledges, I will be sure to give plenty of notice and account for everyone's input! I'm still learning how to use Patreon, so I greatly appreciate everyone's patience as I figure out what works and what doesn't.
Since my patron has been up for almost 5 months now and I still don't have any patrons at the higher tiers, I made some adjustments. Hopefully this will make those tiers more attractive to potential Patrons, and allow me to continue delivering the best rewards without being a drain on the rest of my work!
- I've lowered the higher tiers from $5 and $10 to $3 and $5 respectively, so hopefully the cost is a bit less daunting!
- The new early-access $3 tier (which was the $5 tier before) gets work one day early, as opposed to three. This is simply the easiest way for me to schedule things without losing track (and potentially making an error that undermines your reward). And it's enough to still give Patrons at this level an edge!
- I have consolidated the "WIP" and "Walkthrough" options into one, that is available at the new $5 tier (which was the $10 tier before). It simply didn't make sense to split the two apart, especially since full organized walkthroughs were time-consuming to make in addition to WIP posts. Now just a $5 pledge will get you all the details, since I don't have to pick-and-choose a few WIP images and hold back on the rest for higher tiers!
- The highest tier no longer gets a custom image every month. I'll consider re-adding this award if my Patreon gathers more interest! However, at the moment it's not practical for me to offer as a reward.
Thank you for reading, and I would be happy to answer further questions! I appreciate everyone's continued support!

Internship Thoughts - One Month In
Posted 7 years agoHi everyone,
As you may remember from previous journals, I started an internship with a book publishing company this summer. Ironically, being in a professional setting has made me think more about my involvement in the furry fandom. Before I thought I'd be happy doing ANYTHING art-related full time, even if it wasn't fandom-related. And I enjoy the stability and routine of being with a publishing company, and doing art in a professional environment, but at the same time I can't imagine my life without furry art. I have less than a year now until I graduate, so I'm thinking more about where I'd like to go, figuratively.
Because I would enjoy doing furry art as at least a part-time job, I'm going to continue working at long-term things such as commissions, merchandise and Patreon. (Eventually if I could find a way to do furry art full-time, I imagine that would be great too, but small steps for now.) I'm also trying to find ways to post more on all my social media. I've updated my Patreon page to reflect these changes in my goals, and would greatly appreciate any additional support or feedback in getting to be a professional furry artist in this next year!
Something else that came to my mind is Livestreaming. I'm moving around so much right now that I don't think it would be practical just yet. But I know that done right it can be fun to watch and boost involvement! It's a bit of an investment, at least for traditional work, but it's something I've always wanted to do. So that will likely be another one of my goals in which I can use Patreon to the fullest in order to invest!
As for how the internship itself is going, I can't say many details, though working on real book covers has definitely been different from what I expected. For all the emphasis there has been in the classroom on drawing, I'm using a lot of stock photos and illustrations and very simple imagery. Part of it is probably the particular company's specialization in cookbooks and such, and part of it is probably simply getting more involved in the industry before I can specialize in a direction? It's making me wonder if scientific illustration would also be an option for me. The designing element is satisfying for me and I at least partially have the skills, but for me drawing and painting have always been what I've understood most easily and what's felt most fulfilling.
Well, I'm going to continue to enjoy these next two months, and I'll see more how my schedule will work out once digital commissions open this Friday! And if there is anything else you all would like to see more of, then please let me know and I will do my best to make it happen!

Thinking about commissions for the rest of the summer
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone,
June is already almost over, and I'm getting settled in to the location and the rhythm of my full-time internship! I'm also learning how to schedule my artwork around not only my work schedule, but the other quirks that come with living in an old house temporarily for 3 months and having no car.
I think for July and August I will be shifting my focus to digital commissions. I will be offering digital character drawings, full illustrations with backgrounds, and reference sheets. $70 USD will get you a fullbody single character drawing or a two-view reference sheet, with prices going up with complexity from there. These will open and a form will go live for these types on Friday July 6th at 8 PM Eastern time.
Traditional drawings through the Naturama Project will still be open at their discount from my normal prices, but they will take lower priority. For logistical and space reasons, traditional work has been going at a slower pace for me, with almost all work on traditional pieces occurring on weekends. And, communication has taken place mostly with photos because I don't have free access to a scanner here. I can get pretty good photos of finished pieces in sunlight - but high-quality scans would likely all be sent out at once when I return to school in September.
I will communicate these points again to anyone who requests those traditional commissions.
I am happy to answer any further questions or concerns!

Concerning Commissions: Naturama Project/Internship
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone,
Here is my long awaited journal on the status of commissions over the summer! For those interested primarily in my furry art, there is some mixed news.
I'll start with the positive and answer the questions of how my commissions will be open for the next month or two!
June Commissions
This year again, I'm doing commissions through the Naturama Project. All money for these commissions gets donated to one of a group of wildlife organizations that each participating artist selects, AND each client is entered into a raffle to win animal-themed prizes! (You can read more details at the Naturama Project homepage.)
For this project, I'm currently offering traditional pieces with a simple background, either for a half body or a full body!
- Half body: 35 Euro (~$41 USD)
- Full body: 45 Euro (~$53 USD)
To order, please send me an e-mail through the Naturama Project website.
Payment will be collected through PayPal, or a bank transfer to the Naturama Project account. For more information on payment, please read their FAQ page!
Unfortunately, due to logistical reasons, I will NOT be offering shipping on these, as I thought I would be able to. My schedule during the week will be very full and I will not necessarily be able to get to a post office easily, or be able to obtain supplies necessary to protect artwork from damage during shipment.
This kind of leads me into my next point...
Second topic: Internship.
I thought I would be able to offer a greater variety of commissions this summer, because I wasn't having much luck in my applications for internships. However, less than a week ago I heard back affirmatively from one company, and it turns out I will be participating in a book design internship away from home. I'm planning on doing this full time, and it will likely be in a very small town.
Now that this has come up, I don't think I'll be able to open commissions to the extent I wanted. I'm excited about the professional opportunity! ...But keeping up with my schoolwork during the year is already exhausting. So, with my summer break being eliminated and with 40 hours a work of week, I'm pretty concerned about burnout. Thus, I'm going to limit the commissions to the ones through the Naturama Project, take a break for a while, and see how I do balancing work, personal art, and dance (as well as a couple of weekend events I have planned). If I end up being able to open for commissions later in the summer, I'll post another journal to update.
Thank you again everyone for your understanding! I'm looking forward to being able to contribute to the Naturama Project again this year!

Walkthrough: "Punkish"
Posted 7 years agoThe walkthrough for my most recent piece "Punkish" has been released to the public! See it on Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/walkthrough-18821426
(I wanted to upload it as a submission, but it was way too big!)
Pledge $10 or more on my Patreon to see my newest walkthrough now, and to keep up with the ones I release every month (sometimes more than one!)

Finals
Posted 7 years agoHello everyone,
Quick update on my schedule: All my final projects for my classes have begun, so I'm going to be pretty busy for the next couple weeks and won't have a lot of time for personal work. I'm spending a lot of time on multi-week book design projects, which is cool since that's the field I want to get into after I graduate! One or two of the things, I'll be able to upload to FA and such once they're done, but a lot of what I'm doing isn't really of interest to upload to my online galleries. Those who have pledged on Patreon will still get the usual sketches and WIPs across the month, but finished works here might be a bit slow.
Wanted to let everyone know ahead of time so it seems like I didn't just disappear. I imagine I'm not the only one going through finals at this time of year, so I thank everyone for their understanding!
Again, I'll be back toward the end of this month with information regarding what you can all expect with commissions and such this summer - plans are not quite solidified yet.
