Thank you and welcome!
Posted 6 months agoWell due to the recent influx of activity thanks to the happy little accident that has left my art to remain in FA's home page I feel the need to say something about it, and, to all the new watchers and people who's eye was caught by my silly doodle:
Trully, from the bottom of my heart...
... Now what?
Well FA is still in Read-Only mode so nothing to be seen here.
However, I should make a few announcements and post a bit of an update that's been lacking given my recent misadventures.
So here's the deal, if you sit through this I'll give you a cookie.
I have been closed since a little before Thanksgiving last year, that's quite a long time.
At first I did it because I wanted to take a SMALL break, so you can guess that something happened in that time, right?
Well something didn't happen, everything did.
I got busy with exams and finishing my studies, I injured my wrist a month ago and that took a while to heal. It was a very hectic half year, to say the least.
But also, I've been working on a large scale commission, a piece that's taking it's sweet time to be finished, one I'm very excited to share.
One that's nearing completion.
You can already imagine that, after I finish it, I'll soon be reopening shortly after.
How long exactly I cannot tell, nor know, since I want to make some art for myself, that is because
My website has seen some updates recently, mostly polishing it's design and adding some fun elements to it.
For those who don't know, I started this website a while back to serve as an info hub for my work, you can find it here.
It's been getting a bit of a refresh coming into this year, changing a few pages and, more importantly:
I finally wrote the ToS and process for commissioning me. Hurray!
Decidedly, the refresh isn't finished and I want to add some extra pictures dotting around. We all need more dawlf in our lives, after all.
I've also made a gallery for the website gathering my art and linking it directly to furaffinity which, in my opinion, is a better gallery than any other you can find my art in.
However, it's built on very new web standards that not enough browsers support yet, so it's launch will have to wait for now.
You reached the end of my ramblings! Congratulations.
Here's the cookie I promised: 🍪
I hope to see you around, and once again. Thank you.

The blue place
Posted 11 months agoYou might be sick of reading journals like these, and honestly so am I. However, since I can't mention the site in the "other" place I suppose this is the easiest option.
Given the changes to Twitter's AI funneling policies I've decided to go ahead and start deleting every media tweet that the shitty app will load and from now on I will only be releasing low res screenshots of the pieces as I did with the last drawing.
FurAffinity has always been my gallery/public archive of art, and will continue to do so. But, as of now, the main place where I'll be posting my art, WIPs, and overall activity will be Bluesky, as a surprise to literally no one.
The handle is the same as twitter, you may find it here: https://bsky.app/profile/fatdawlf.bsky.social
And the rest of my socials are, as usual, in my website: https://azakidev.github.io

Commission waitlist start
Posted a year agoIn an attempt to organize the way I deal with commissions I've come up with a waitlist process so I can keep track in those interested in getting a commission, even if my usual 3 working slots are full.
For this, I've made a list to keep track of who wants to commission me, as well as letting me keep track of the state each commission is in.
For anyone interested in commissioning me, this means you can just tell me what you want to have drawn and provide the required information without worrying about my status as eventually you'll be contacted about it, get payment and actually draw the thing.
Note that, while I ask for full payment upfront, it's not required until it's your turn in the working slots!
Interested on trying it or have any questions?
My prices and contact information are on my website: https://azakidev.github.io/

Dawlf public announcement!
Posted a year agoOk but what is a dawlf?
Dawlfs are a species I have been working on since roughly 2019, soon after I joined the fandom.
Originally derived by folfs but eventually became it's own thing, with a still work in progress world they inhabit.
For a while I've wanted to make it an open species that anyone can use, contribute, or simply enjoy the community of, and now I've finally got it to a point where I can release them into the wild world of the internet.
What was made public is the information about them, contained in a GitHub repository in the form of an obsidian vault. It's not the prettiest of solutions but it gets the job done.
Not too long into the future, I would like to make a few adopts alongside art such as my last painting to show the world dawlfs live in as well as more concept art.
Alongside, I'd also like to make a section on my website to serve as a proper guide to making dawlfs, since the series of posts I made here are... not the best they could be, but that is all a work in progress as of now.
Where do I look for them?
The repository linked below contains all of the information about them.
Alongside it, my discord server has dedicated channels for discussion about all things dawlf.

Website update
Posted 2 years agoHeyo, I don't really know how journals work, but I'll make an effort
Last year I released a website for my commission information, ways to contact me, presenting all of my available YCHs and other such commission related things
A few days ago, I released a pretty sizeable update to the site, adding a page with introductions to many of the characters I have, including those I don't draw all that often, so I figured I could share it here for the people interested in knowing more about my characters.
The main site is here.
And the new page, although linked on the page ago, is here, just to save you a click ;)
