I'm working on a YCH that's entirely to my taste to bring my motivation back

And the pic I'm working on is set in an alien asian buffet.
If you want to, your tiny feral characters can be on display as food items (not gore, in whole piece, not being consumed on scene)
or Rats/ratlike pests can lurk around alive!

The image will be more comical than dark, sci-fi/alien themed. Little creatures will likely have X eyes if dead for example.
There will be one with a scared look on his face as my sona is cleaning the cleaver above him. That one should be a lizard or dragon. This is very background stuff, but this one will be the most rendered. First one to claim him gets this slot.

Other creatures will be randomly hidden on the image.

Sadly canines/other naturally big animals probably wouldn't work well here, sorry.

They are just Easter eggs so they are free, send refs here or in notes to claim slots.
If you want to pay for your slot, that's fine with me, but it really is alright if you don't. Seriously. If you pay I take it as donation.

I'm searching for people who could exchange WIPs with me on Skype, point out my mistakes, show me their progress, etc. I have one fellow like that, but he is rarely available. That could motivate me I think.

I love receiving critiques. I am heavily defendant on my things, but mostly only to generate debate and conclude the final solution rather than being stubborn.
And I love doing over-paints, they are refreshing.

so a week ago i was super happy that i started progressing...and at that instant the sky fell on me, no food, no electricity, no mood and im slumping.

i completely lost motivation to draw.
i can't stop of course out of responsibility, but i'm heavily burning myself out like this. Or more like i have burnt out already.
drawing doesn't feel like art anymore, it feels like labor work. and of course it shows on the pictures, I hate them, and I can't give out new updates for a while, I discard everything.

and with my Patron income nearly gone, I can't rely on that anymore, I would have to take on even more commissions... but if i take on one more I will go mad. (I already did go mad but I mean even more)

I want to keep going and want to get myself back. I love art, and I love drawing, but I look at my list and... I just wanna go to sleep and forget it.

Do i give myself time to recover? but people are waiting on me.
do i take on more so i have something to eat? i'm already over-encumbered.
do I keep doing my list? I'll soon starve and seriously go insane.


I counted on my Patreon to get me going while I get my list, but EVERYONE left me in just one month. My only stable income disappeared in an instant. And with that the hopes to finish my queue in a reasonable time :(


I was thinking on starting a donation drive so I could gather enough to finish my queue, but why would anyone help me after all this time. :/ It's not like it's an accident, I screwed up over a year ago, and it just became worse and worse and I'm nearing the end of the rope.

is it allowed to paint a closed species IF you don't 'make' the character to be yours? like just a random specimen chilling, that's not an actual character

I'm increasing my daily work-hours to 11 hours from tomorrow, and I'll also only have a day off every second Sunday only. that's 71 hours a week only doing commissions.
I want you to know that I do work every day to finish up my queue and get done with everything!

Also : you might think that I'm taking on too much new commissions.
But please consider that I work on new commissions only about 20 hours a week. My big old commissions are 60-80 hour ones - even if there are no public updates, I am working more on those!
I'm gonna switch my schedule to one by one on those as well, as it seems to me more effective in my case, instead of working a bit on everything.

(also, not gonna post that YCH tonight. I'll hate working without music, but someone got pissed by the idea of delaying things more for my comfort, so nope :( )

I found a pretty background I did ages ago and never published (actually I have several. the advantages of not uploading personal content...)

I hate working without listening to music, and I'm super afraid of loosing my tablet, and not being able to fix it.
It probably needs a new HDD (it needs either a 1.8" PATA or it needs to be hacked) but I'm not sure

Also my depression got 10000 times worse, I can't sleep, when I do I sleepwalk, my head and my neck hurts constantly, etc. Probably caused by all these technical issues.
So sorry if I say or do something that is hurtful, not my intention. I tend to be cranky and rude in times like these. That is (usually) not me, it's my depression, and I'm sorry.


even though but my machines are supposed to be long dead, they are very old an weak, it's a miracle they held out this long. I just really wish they didn't start going down at the very same time. (my third one died about a month ago too. that was also garbage that barely worked for the last few years)
