As someone who's be futzing around this community for well over a decade, I have seen a lot of very talented artists and I watch a heck of a lot of them (on my other account). Most all of these people are just like the rest of us and have simply put their time in to have gotten very good at art and are very nice people as well. However as an individual trying to get better, trying to improve and bring my own art up, I sometimes run into these people, or manage to chat with them for even the shortest amounts of times, and every single time, without exception, it is an incredibly uplifting experience. To have an artist that I've watched for, sometimes, years, comment on, or fave something, is incredibly fulfilling. It's like reaching a milestone, or a plateau on a hike where you can look out at how far you've come on the never ending climb to improve. To have one of those people actually watch me, to look at my stuff and say to themselves "Hey, I like this persons work enough to want to see it more." Well, that's where you really get to me and I pretty much break down into a gibbering fangasm and run around my room like a idiot squealing happily.

Originally I was not going to attend MCFC next weekend due to having a class meeting on Saturday, but today in lecture my professor announced that the meeting was canceled and we all had our Saturday back. Thus, now I am in a quandary about the con. I have not registered (which I think would be a pretty easy fix) do not have a room or any arrangements at all, and I'm debating if I want to try to make it down there. I brought my fursuit home over spring break because I didn't think I'd get to wear it again and was trying to save space for moving home at the end of the semester, and while not having my suit would be a bit of a bummer, it's by no means a deal breaker. I certainly had a ton of fun at cons without ever having a suit before. Either way, I'm up in the air at the moment, wondering how many people are going to be there, if it'll be worth the trip, if I can get a ride and room, etc.

Last night I was blown away by the number of people that showed up to my stream. I have NEVER maxed out the 10 viewer capacity that join.me has for it's free service, so I really want to thank each and every one of you that showed up, even if it was just for a short time to see what was happening, and I want to apologize to those of you that tried to come in and were blocked by the capacity limit. Clearly you all pay much more attention to submissions than journals (not surprising) because yesterday was also the debut of my streaming notification picture. Anyways, on to the crux of the matter.

What streaming service do you guys use if you're an artist, or if you just watch, which do you prefer to watch on? I currently use join.me because it's incredibly simple for me, and thus far has worked out well. the only drawback being that it has no sound - not a huge issue, but I do have a mic and talking could be much easier than stopping to type, and for it's free service, it has a cap of 10 viewers. When i first started to look into streaming, I looked at livestream, but being the computer dunce I am, couldn't figure out the setup and profile and all that jazz. Since then I have heard of it going downhill in terms of quality with jumping or stuttering service and other issues. The only other service i currently know of is Tigerdile, and while it looks awesome, I dont feel like paying $15 a month for a service I dont use that much. I would like to get more into art, and streaming much more, etc. but right now it's just not worth the money to pay for a streaming service.

So, Join.me, Livestream, Tigerdile,... who else is there and what's "best"? The more feedback the better here guys, after all, I'm looking to make both our experiences the best, mine as the artist, and you, my watchers.

Can anyone direct me to the part of the AUP about icons? I got notification tonight that mine was in violation and was therefore taken down because of the tiny, 5 pixel wide bulge in his pants, you know, the one pretty much every guy has. I want to go on a rant across FA pointing out all the icons that would violate this "policy" but I LIKE bulges, and it wasn't even a focus in my icon like it is in some. I ordered fabric from Distinctive Fabric early last week to ensure that I had it this week when I was home for spring break and could work on shorts. They gave me an order confirmation email, but haven't told me it has shipped, and it certainly hasn't arrived at my door. I've emailed them, but we shall see what happens. Many many apologies to my waiting customers. If I dont get the fur in time this week I will be contacting you individually to see what you would like done about this situation, be it a refund, just wait until may when I'm done with school, or something else.

Dunno, been thinking about species lately. It wouldn't change anything at all about Akvavit, but looking at him, his coloring, the things I really enjoy - I love being big and burly and always a glutton like a wolverine, but the whole loving alcohol, bellies, and giant balls, well, that's clearly Tanuki territory. Just tossing around ideas, mulling thoughts, Stick with just wolverine, some kind of hybrid, or maybe just out and say Akvavit is a tanuki. Eitherway, nothing about him would change, just the species label on future works I guess.
