Anybody going to Yama-con?
Posted 9 years agoSo a few friends and I are going to be attending Yama-con, one friend actually lives close enough that we don't need a hotel. One of the plans for the con is to meet Eric Stuart, the voice actor for Brock from Pokemon/Kaiba from Yu-gi-oh and get his autograph on some Blue Eyes white dragon cards, lol.
Anybody attending? might be amusing to meet more furs out there, I may be wearing my fursuit at least once during the con. Looking forward to attending.

No man's sky Foundation update. . . I was not expecting this
Posted 9 years agoSo, if any of you tried the game No Man's Sky or heard of the backlash the game received due to the state of the games launch and the lack of content to it, you know how bad the game was at launch. A couple things it did well, but there were countless problems with the game, to the point where I would say it was the biggest flop of the year, then for months Hello Games was dead silent for months on end.
Suddenly it has received a new update, the foundation update, and I must say it surprised me!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovx58oWqz-k
This improved every aspect of the game, added some impressive features and makes me actually want to play it a great deal. So far with this update, I am having a lot of fun! Not only did it add an impressive base building system and freighters, but it fixed so many things that people complained about! Recharging tools and other components can be done quickly and easily, solving the issue of constantly shifting through your inventory, Planets can be scanned so you can tell at a glance if they are worth your time or not, performance has been improved, and tons of additional fixes and additions!
If you have NMS, you may consider picking it up again, if you don't own the game. . . you should probably still wait for a sale, but keep an eye on this. (or you could check out Space Engineers, that game is pretty awesome as a space sandbox.)
I am actually looking forward to more updates, I just hope they don't just go all radio silence for 5 months again.

Whatever happens, the election could have been worse
Posted 9 years agoIn this election, there really was no "good" candidate. however, whatever trump does after this, good or bad, Hillary would have been far worse.
When someone causes the deaths of American lives and the strongest reaction they can muster is "Whoops" or "it wasn't my fault." that is irresponsible, corrupt and juvenile. Do you want someone whose sheer negligence caused people to lose their lives to run the country?
Trump has his share of bad decisions, tons of dumb quotes, some followers who are hostile and aggressive, but Hillary basically assisted foreign espionage through her irresponsible actions. Again, people died because of her.
This election had no good candidate, but Hillary was the worst.
Maybe another candidate would have done a better job as president, but we'll just have to wait and see what he does. Maybe he'll destroy everything, maybe he will fix everything, lets see.

Today my cat passed away. . .
Posted 9 years agoSo today, My cat, adopted 2 years ago, then named Kitty, had suffered a sudden and serious condition. On sunday he started having issues using the litter box and stopped eating. He then had a complete loss of energy. It was so acute that the decision had to be made today to let him go. Before I received him he was semi social, staying with people, but never getting too close. When I received him, he grew close to me and would always greet me at the door when I come home, and would stay right next to me every day. We would play often, whether it was with a small plastic toy, or wrestling with my arm. The doctor said that cats may choose who they get close to, and it was very clear that he picked me. Though he might not be right here with me, I will not say he is dead, he simply gone home. He will meet with my past cats with God, and I thank God for the time I had with all my feline friends.

Anybody play 3DS?

Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is actually fun. . . am I insane?
Posted 10 years agoSo I got Black Ops 3 for the PS4 and the game is actually very fun and the campaign is imaginative and interesting! Its at least twice as long as the usual COD campaign and half way through you start getting into some very strange encounters. The campaign begins with anti-terrorism and then eventually delving into the mind and nightmares of another soldier and then contending with the will of a rogue A.I. born of the pure, raw emotion of test subjects of a CIA project to monitor the thoughts of the population. When you interface with the A.I.'s systems you see some really bizarre visuals. like A giant black tree with blue streams through its roots and inside you see a giant beating heart.
Does that sound like something you would see in a COD game?
The campaign even has RPG elements where you pick between three Cybernetic cores which have different sets of abilities, like hacking machines to fight for you or ripping out its power core and using it as an improvised EMP grenade, or forcing a soldiers cybernetics to bend and twist in bone-breaking ways.
Another thing I really like about COD Black ops 3 is how it maintains EVERYTHING that all FPS's should come with standard.
4 player coop campaign (even includes splitscreen.)
private/custom matches with changeable conditions. (can even assign BOTS to teams!)
Side challenges (free run obstacle courses and zombies.)
Multiplayer with lots of game modes.
Customization.
Can you name a game released in the past few years that includes ALL of these things? Halo 5 removed splitscreen, Battlefield has no private matches, you have to rent a server. Destiny has no private matches either (still a great game, especially with the Taken King.) Seems like studios are cutting costs everywhere and its annoying. But BO3 has everything that an FPS is SUPPOSED to have, it does NOT have microtransactions or DRM either!
It may be because I haven't played a COD game since Modern Warfare 2 but I feel like this title is actually a breath of fresh air with fun gameplay and an interesting campaign (even includes a few mind *blank* moments!)

interesting dream
Posted 10 years agoI had a dream the earth was going to be destroyed by the moon (majora's mask anyone? also, never played it, just seen it. . . lol.) it was inevitable. so luckily a fleet of transport ships were already fully fueled and ready to go. seemed like though the whole procedure of escaping the earth was well policed and organized it seemed like they were very lenient on where and when you go. Not far from earth there was a huge city/station facility that would be our new home. I followed the fleet there but I was missing my gaming PC, and ps4.
after dropping everything I had off at where I was staying while friends and family watched it I snuck away and piloted the transport we used to get here and got my stuff, and a few people who STILL had access to a transport ship seemed to refuse to leave but were not difficult to convince to escape while the moon was practically touching the rooftops miles away! (was moving slowly.) got my stuff and a few other people and got back to the station. didn't watch the planet get destroyed so no idea how it happened exactly. I imagine it would be like majora's mask. Seemed like the stationt had almost everything. Homes for everyone, jobs and more. One thing it lacked was INTERNET . . .sort of. unofficially it didn't have any since earth was destroyed. However there seemed to be some kind of network to play games with other people. Maybe this whole station had a decent LAN network. Now it seemed like the city WANTED you to focus on your assigned job but they didn't enforce it. So pretty much got to the station and relaxed.

upcoming reference sheet for a new character
Posted 11 years agoSo I have been working on a reference sheet for a character from my book. his name is "Actaeon," he is a Wul'Feran" (which is basically a wolf-furry.) about 6'8'' in height and has probably one of the more emotional back stories of all the characters that I have thought up thus far. I may include a bit of it in the description.
He has unique bracers which have blades concealed starting parallel to the forearm and when guards are released the blade snaps to be perpendicular to the forearm, serving as a sort of back up weapon.
The ref that will be uploaded first will be from a free templet you would see used here quite often, then I'll see about commissioning an artist to make a higher quality/realistic picture of him. (anybody know of any artists that can do this for a good deal? just a simple full body image of him with his armor and maybe semi realistic.)
The book follows a human boy who was rescued from a ritual which would summon a fallen deity named "Itanu" to allow him free reign to do as he wishes in the world of Hevalderon. The ritual was interrupted and the boy is taken to safety and lives under the care of a soldier named Malcham (may change later) and upon awakening the boy remembers nothing prior to waking up. He takes the name Aiden (I find this name to be incredibly common recently so I may change this too.) and makes this new community his home. Years later, dark creatures reconstructed for destruction by a malevolent will attack his village. Malcham tells Aiden to go to a temple (I have yet to name) in the city of (I have yet to name) And they will know what must be done to fight back. Aiden reluctantly leaves and Malcham holds the line to give him time to escape. Aiden must learn of the motivations which drives Itanu and How to prevent him from gaining full power and in the process learn of his own identity and where he came from, and of a secret locked within his very soul. (spoiler filled version in my gallery.)
I am excited to work on this story and I hope to have it done before the end of this year! Let me know what you think of the above information!

GAMING SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT!
Posted 11 years agoEver been interested in playing a Detective style game? solve crimes, unveil unique and mysterious organizations while using your own perception, out of the box thinking, and at the same time experiencing both epic and hilarious conversations and cutscenes?
Early 1990's, there was a series known as "Tex Murphy" and in my opinion, it was one of, if not THE best Detective style games on the market, even today (maybe a close second was L.A Noire.)
Their last Tex Murphy game was in 1998, and now, this month, they are releasing Tesla Effect, taking over after the events of Tex Murphy: overseer.
The series takes place in a scifi/post nuclear fallout universe (civilization is still around, the earth just has some weird looking people on it now.) Now, beyond that I don't personally know what the rest of the games are about exactly, but I know that "Under a Killing Moon" follows an order that wants to wipe out all "impure" life on earth. AKA, the mutants. This would cause the deaths of countless mutants AND afflicted people on the earth while many await upon a sort of "ark" for the purification to commence. Tex murphy however manages to destroy the station and stop the purification. from what I have seen of the other games (very little) I believe the others follow a similar agenda.
Now, what I DO know about the series:
The puzzles and mysteries you solve across all games tend to be very well designed and can require alot of out of the box thinking. Example: the first major crime in UAKM is investigating the murder of a local clown in order for tex to prove that he is a good detective and can handle himself. In the end you learn that the murderer is terrified of clowns, specifically the one he killed which he claims haunts him in his dreams, and how you finally take him down is the following:
Learn of his hideout in an abandon warehouse.
Take note of the crane that still functions above a catwalk,
attach the life-size crusty clown doll to the crane:
wait by some crates for him to enter the warehouse (do not be out in the open or in the wrong place or he will shoot you.)
He enters and places some stolen merchandise and a key on a table. Tex pulls a lever off camera and the crane moves with the doll moving due to battery power,
Tex makes sounds like the clown for added effect,
Criminal runs screaming through a brick wall in cartoony fashion.
There are a lot of hilarious moments in the game, like the one above. Anything from simple lines of dialogue to entire cutscenes. moments like when he says "this is my gun, I LOVE IT SOOO MUCH!' interact with it again and he just plays a scene in his head while swinging it around until he throws it out a window. someone you never see picks it up, tex says "hey, could you give that back? my girlfriend just threw my gun out the window! . . . yea just pick it up an. . . hey, don't point that think at me, ITS NOT A TOY YOU KNOW!" *bang* hat flies off his head, ducks, then stands back up and looks out the window at the camera, "Oh my h***."
Some other puzzles may include figuring out how to get through a highly sophisticated security system to get to a crystal dove statue which may hold the answers you seek, or finding scraps of a note that holds vital information and piecing it together like a jigsaw puzzle. for its time, it was incredibly clever as to where it places clues and how you are to solve them, things like opening a trash can or opening a few drawers and boxes to find items was almost unheard of! at the time the game was released those would more likely be just flat background items! Here, nearly everything is intractable. maybe not to the level of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, but close!
With multiple dialogue options, each having different results and the level of detail in the investigation and acquisition of clues and evidence and the great sense of humor, the Tex Murphy games are well worth playing, and they are available at GOG.com right now for 9.99.
Also, once again, THIS MONTH, the same creators and the same actor for Tex Murphy himself since the beginning, are releasing the next Tex Murphy game which was successfully funded on Kickstarter, called Tesla Effect. The game will be released, according to GOG, on the 22nd. If you order Tesla Effect now, not only will it be 17.99 instead of 19.99, but you will receive a free copy of ANY ONE of the previous Tex Murphy games!
http://www.gog.com/game/tesla_effec.....rphy_adventure
Also, as an added bonus, I spoken to one of the developers about an interesting game mode they could include, and that would be a sort of "custom crime scene." With a map editor you would design a crime scene and mystery across a number of maps if you wish and let someone else attempt to solve it. The developer I spoke to said that is a cool idea but they are too close to the release so they can't add that in now, BUT (and this is important) if he game does well enough, they will consider adding it in later.
Now, I will say this about Tesla Effect, it does look like some of the graphics may be fairly "dated" for today's standards, but its going to be $20 after launch, and if its ANYTHING like under a killing moon, maybe even greater, then it just might be an excellent game, especially if they decide to add custom crime scenes that you can challenge other players to complete later.
So please, check it out, order it perhaps, tell your friends, and maybe try out one of the previous Tex Murphy games. (remember, this picks up directly after the end of overseer, so you MAY want to play that. Personally, I might order tesla effect, get the pandora directive free with the preorder bonus, then buy overseer.)
Let me know what you think!

Wow, GOG.com is awesome!
Posted 11 years agoSo I first heard of GOG.com (good old games) when Divinity Dragon commander was coming out and it was announced to be released on steam and GOG.com, thought "oh, another steam clone." to a degree, yes. But it appears that GOG goes much further. it goes all the way back to 1990 and updates games to work on XP, Vista and Windows 7! According to reviews I have read and heard it actually does a fantastic job of it!
A few examples:
Betrayal at Krondor/ Return to Krondor
https://secure.gog.com/game/betrayal_at_krondor
Torin's Passage
https://secure.gog.com/game/torins_passage
Might and Magic 1-6
https://secure.gog.com/game/might_a.....imited_edition
And many more!
Sadly it doesn't include a few games I was looking for, like Lost Eden or the original "Dungeons and Dragons: Stronghold Kingdom simulator (SPECIFICALLY titled that, not just "stronghold") but this is an awesome start! I watched my dad play Betrayal at Krondor and it looks like it was a pretty awesome RPG, turn based combat, fully open world, exploration, traps, and more. Might even rival Elder scrolls Daggerfall, though I played neither at this point so I won't push it. lol.
Check GOG out and see if any old classic games you grew up with is on that list!
So what old classic games did you play growing up? are they on the list of games on GOG? let me know!

update: procrastination and writing a book
Posted 11 years agoHey everyone,
so I am REALLY behind on making the videos that I planned to make and said I would make and I do plan on getting to them, hopefully I'll get them out soon.
Now, I have been working on a book recently and been figuring out the details and the world and designs and such and been given feedback from a few friends on my thoughts so far.
Its not exactly a FURRY book, per-se but it may have some beast races in there as well. Its like, say, skyrim where there are technically "furries" in the world but its not a "furry" game. May have 2 or 3 beast races but then there is the typical fantasy races of elves, dwarves and more. (why did spellcheck say "Dwarves" is wrong but Wharves is right? WTF is that!?)
I am missing alot of character names, and most importantly, the BOOK's name! I have a few in mind.
Aiden (main)
Actaeon
Itanu
Aladerith (wow spellcheck, Balladeer? again, what even is that!? How does it even relate!?)
The last two were names that I made using various syllables and mixing them together.
Anyway, feel free to comment, maybe ideas for videos I could post, games or movies you would like me to review or whatever really.
See you around.

Finally got to play Dust: An elysian tail!
Posted 12 years agoSo I finally got to play Dust: an Elysian tail on pc and the game is just amazing!
First: gameplay.
The gameplay is smooth, responsive and, though simple, pretty deep, especially for a 2D platformer. As a pc port from the Xbox 360 arcade it plays very well. Generally controls and such on ports don't translate very well and becomes a mess, but NOT here.
The combat is pretty fun, the combos you can create and chain together are very impressive and can yield some huge hit combos if you know what you are doing.
In addition to your melee combat you have your companion "Fidget" an adorable, funny and entertaining companion who follows you throughout the game and she has some abilities that, while on their own are very weak, in combination with your "dust storm" ability will create some devastating affects. This also helps build up your hit combos. I can see a lot of situations allowing you to just spam your aerial dust storm and fidget's abilities but there are also a lot of times when you have to use more tactics like when fighting a Trolk (Rock+troll.) which is almost invulnerable until you parry the attack, stunning it and opening it up for a counter attack.
The world is free to explore through several zones, some places you can't reach until you unlock certain abilities. Going back and exploring old locations is VERY rewarding and can yield some interesting secrets. There are a few puzzles that you encounter and make you really think. You find a lot of notes and a few of them have hints toward some hidden treasures. There are also some challenge dungeons with an obstacle course with a treasure at the end. On the Xbox 360 there are leader boards that keep track of the highest scores. PC does not seem to have them though. With all of this content, for an arcade/indie game, it can have about 20 or so hours of content and exploration! The story missions them selves might not be very long, maybe roughly 8 hours, but if you do all the side quests you will find many more hours worth of content to do.
Visuals: The graphics and animation quality is really impressive! its smooth and looks great! it has a cartoony style that colorful and clear and is very well animated. if you use your "dust storm" effect the environments actually react to it. it pulls objects to you and you will see trees wave and vines swing toward you when you use the Dust storm and makes the environment feel more physical and less like a static backdrop.
Soundtrack: The music in this game is incredible! it has epic tracks, it has pleasant tracks and it has emotional tracks! The company "Hyperduck Soundworks" did a great job with the sound track. The music fits with the environment and the situation just perfectly. I just can't emphasise enough how incredible the soundtrack for this game is!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhTjoLo_6xE
Story: How to even begin with this? When I first seen the trailers and gameplay it seemed like a simple story about a young warrior who is a confident and skilled combatant and is going to face a terrible evil and save the world. Well, he does save the world but there is alot more leading up to it! First: you wake up in the woods, a sword called the Blade of Ahrah flys up and calls you "Dust." Dust does not remember who he is, where he is from or what he is ment to do. You meet a flying Nimbat called Fidget, who was a guardian of the sword and she joins you to discover your purpose. Beyond that I cannot, and WILL not say any further on the story itself because there are nothing but MAJOR spoilers after that point. It also yields probably one of the BIGGEST twists and surprises I have ever seen in gaming! Rivals the weight and impact of the Bioshock twist I'll say that much.
The Characters in the story are unique and interesting, Fidget is hilarious and breaks the fourth wall sometimes and is alot of fun to listen to. When you open the world map there is a campfire in the background and sometimes she is sitting on a stick either roasting marshmallows or sleeping. CUTE!! Other characters you encounter through the game are pretty interesting, conversations with them can take a couple minutes but I think they are pretty interesting and engaging conversations. The story is surprisingly emotional as well, you wouldn't think you would cry in a game with a cartoony design with animal characters. Here there are many situations where i feel like I need to go in a corner and cry for a few minutes! Again, TRYING TO GIVE NO SPOILERS but there is a speech a child gives you after the death of his father and if you don't feel something after he says his words, there is something wrong with you, that or you had the sound and subtitles off. It was especially heavy for me because my own dad had passed away a long time ago. This game pulls at your heartstrings in unbelievable ways! The credits even have a few scenes based on these situations and they are just really heavy. The ONLY thing I would change about the story is giving the main enemy maybe a little more motivation, his goal was pretty simple with no big, groundbreaking reason behind it.
So, Dust: An Elysian Tail, Fantastic game, furry or not, platformer fan or not, This game is worth getting, it has excellent gameplay, a powerful story, great visuals, and all for $15!
One more thing that makes this even more amazing:
Aside from soundtrack and voice acting, this was ALL done by ONE GUY! Dean Dodrill worked on this for 4 years by himself!
coding, animating, drawing, story, all by himself! You look at the credits and its mostly voice actors, testers and producers aside from him. That is amazing! So help support the great work he did and check out Dust: An elysian tail! If you tried it, let me know what you think!

Divinity Dragon Commander review intro clip
Posted 12 years agoSo I will be making a dragon commander review and I made a skit to start the video out, and this is what me and my friends made while the power company was performing maintenance on power lines down the road:
http://youtu.be/eDeJfGfgQxw
Now, so you know, in the game I DID say I'll support it, reason being: if its legitimate love then I can't say anything against it. Plus, stopping people from loving someone for specific conditions like that is a rather dumb. What I did in this video is basically saying "i'm not dealing with this right now."
Let me know what you think!

Divinity Dragon commander!
Posted 12 years agoSo I have been playing Divinity Dragon commander and it is pretty amazing so far!
The gameplay is really good and accessible, hotkeys are labeled on the portraits of the units or buildings you want to build so you can learn them easily and build up faster that way. I do like how EVERY SINGLE UNIT you construct has useful abilities that can drastically alter the battle if used properly. Even the cheapest unit in the game, the Trooper, is handy. Rush them into an enemy base and capture their buildings quickly, or have them kamikaze into an enemy army and put a dent in their forces.
Shamans, your healers, have some extremely effective status conditions they can inflict like Terror to paralyze your enemies, or charm to convert them to your control.
The political decisions are pretty impressive, its not just "do this to be called "nice" or "do this to make people fear you" each of your decisions can effect the disposition of the different races and provide some bonuses or debuffs. Say the undead have a proposition about conscription and wants you to enforce it. if you say no then you gain favor with some races and some useful cards, but at the same time, your chance of victory is reduced by 2% if you auto resolve as a "curse." (and these bonuses are permanent!)
Everything is meaningful and important and you might want to take a moment to consider what would be most beneficial for you and your empire in the long or short run.
I'll see about making a video review after I get more time into the game to see more details and features. keep an eye out and let me know what you think!
in the mean time GET THE GAME! you will not regret it!

Car troubles, stacking bills, art commissions?
Posted 12 years agoSo my car overheated and my bills are getting high from late fees and I need some help financially, I'll take commissions of $1 or more. If you don't want a commission then spreading the word would be GREATLY appreciated.
Here are a few examples of some artwork I made:

If you are interested, let me know. I could also just try perhaps making videos to entertain for donations or something. Any ideas, any commissions, any thoughts at all, let me know. I really need some help here.
At the very least, I would like to know if people have at least READ this.

New youtube system: paid subscriptions
Posted 12 years agoApparently a new system has just started in youtube where channels can charge people subscription fees to watch their videos.
They say this is intended to help promote new content and and better production values, but I think that charging people to watch their videos is ridiculous.
Of course, this is an optional feature if I understand correctly. only a handful of channels I have never heard of are using now.
If this becomes a mandatory feature, or to permanently replace the current system with putting ads on the videos and force EVERY youtube partner to charge subscription fees in the future, then youtube is going to lose a lot of business and viewers.
So, for anybody reading this, what are your thoughts on this?

A Dragon RTS/RPG/3rd person flight combat game, check it out
Posted 12 years agoThere are some games that go almost unnoticed but deserves more attention. One of them is "Divinity: Dragon Commander" a very promising and awesome looking game that combines Real time strategy, Turn based strategy, flight combat, and a story with RPG elements.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9lbrq3BLQU
RTS/turn based:
You see a world map with various land marks, points of interest and regions. You command your army to move and expand across the world and ultimately eliminate your enemy from the map. This is done taking turns in the world map. There are strategic structures in different regions that boost different aspects of your army. When you enter a battle all involved sides command their armies, capture significant structures and maintain a base and push the opposing players off the map. They did something I personally haven't seen in a competitive RTS before regarding population. Each region has its own "population" and when you construct recruiting centers you recruit and take control of the regions population a little at a time until the population is depleted. (REALISTICALLY this sounds cruel and wrong but as a gameplay mechanic it is very interesting.)
RPG:
The campaign has you commanding your forces to build up an empire. The actual story has been mostly hinted at so we will just have to see what the story is all about at release, but what we do know is that you can research new technology, hire mercenaries for additional firepower, and there are various princesses and politicians you interact with to ally yourself with different races and nations. Each nation and race can provide unique and helpful bonuses in different ways and may affect the game at later points, potentially. You can also marry a princess and help them with unique tasks that can help your army grow and become more powerful. They are not just there to say "Hey, I'm your wife!"
Now my FAVORITE part of the game.
Flight combat:
As you command your forces on the battlefield you have the option to jump into the battle yourself. You are a Dragon knight, you have a human form and you can transform into a full fledged DRAGON and back again. So you can jump into the battle and reek havoc on the enemies with your dragon form and switch back to the "command mode." If you die you just spend some of your recruited population to get it back. The dragon form looks awesome and has a lot of useful abilities. I just hope its not TOO powerful to the point that you can just solo a whole match with just the dragon.
So, what do you think about Dragon Commander? Let me know what you think. I am definitely looking forward to this game.
